So this hoover is super effective at picking up dust etc…we couldn’t believe how much is picked up that our old hoover was clearly leaving behind. We have short hair pets and it handles their hair well as well.
It is pretty heavy though, and although there are different formats, it still is a bit cumbersome to do the whole house in one go. Between the weight and it having a wire, it isn’t the super easy portable number we were hoping for. But as I say, undeniably effective
Supercool led lights on the front too!

Absolutely love our new vaccum. There is no hair wrapped around the beater bar so it is true to its word! The suction is good and the LED light is useful when hoovering dark places or hard floors. Only upset that I) I didn’t but it sooner and ii) I’ve somehow lost one of the attachments already.

I’ve had various hoovers and always preferred my henry or cordless dyson now I’m converted and bought on sale I’m so glad I invested you ought to see the dust it picks up! I hoovered with Henry and when the shark came I hoovered again and I couldn’t belive what it picked up! Marvellous I love i

First time I used it found hair wrapped around roller which I cut off. Spoke to customer services who advised to run it back and forth on hard surface a few times in future which shifts any hair. Now end cleaning cycle on the hard kitchen floor, no more problems. Very powerful suction, really pleased with this purchase.

I had This in my watchlist for quite some time. I finally took the plunge and got a really good deal on this product. I must say it is the best vacuum I think I’ve ever used. After working in hotels for over 20 years and seeing how powerful their commercial machines are, this is every bit as good as one of those without the price tag. After just one vacuum the dust coming out was horrible. After my carpets looked brand new, the pile was fluffy and it just felt fresher. I saw the reviews about the anti hair wrap technology and how hair still gathers around the rollers. It does do that but you’re probably only talking a few strands instead of half a head of hair like I used to find before!! it’s new so I’ve probably not had it long enough to encounter much wrong, but I’m very pleased with it so far. Would thoroughly recommend this product. Another win is that all of their packaging (including what’s inside the box) is recyclable.

This is my third vacuum in fours years so certainly had my fingers crossed for this one. My previous vacuum was a Vax Pet but the roller broke, despite cleaning it after each use.
The first thing that ticked my box for the Shark was it’s ability to be free from hair tangle on the roller. This has so far proved to be an absolute winner.
All the buttons are clearly labelled and it’s a doddle to switch from hard floor to carpet. The ‘headlights’ are actually more useful than I’d thought. The bin compartment isn’t too bad, I usually only have to empty it twice for a three bedroomed house, upstairs and down.
The ability to vacuum the downstairs carpet is exceptional on pet hair (6 cats and 1 dog). The carpet is spotless and on hard floors everything is sucked up completely.
The stairs proved no issue. The cord length is reasonable and I have plug sockets just in the right place. It’s not particularly heavy or cumbersome in use.
The vacuum manoeuvres very well and is gentle on the wrist and back.
If I was to be critical I’d say that I wished manufactures would ditch ‘glossy’ plastic that is highly static and turns the product into a dust magnetic. Your new vacuum won’t look sparkly and new for long.
Overall, excellent buy. This one gives me the confidence of longevity.

    Very impressed

This is a great product!! Very lightweight and easy to use and clean as well! I actually enjoy hoovering now and doesn’t feel like a chore. I love the accessibility button at the top of the handle which makes changing from hard floors to carpets super easy and it collects a lot of dust and has been perfect getting rid of all the pet hair as well. Highly recommend

This vacuum is really strong. I was really surprised at how much dust we sucked out of the carpet. Its on the heavy side but I don’t mind too much seeing as it is so effective. The steps are easy to get to because the body comes loose from the vacuum and can be carried up. Unfortunately it doesn’t come with a smaller rolling foot that would work for the steps. This is a part that needs to be bought additionally, but having said that I managed to vacuum the steps with the upholstery fitting. This is not a long term solution as it may eventually damage the upholstery fitting’s felt. All in all a very happy purchase.

I liked the suction on this cleaner and it’s easy to empty, however as an older person with Arthritis I found it very heavy to manoeuvre around.

This shark has revolutionised hoovering for us. Yes we are middle aged lol. All the power of a corded unit but the ability to detach and walk up the stairs without trailing a hose, or get into the car to hoover the back seats or boot. Honestly if you’re on the fence, or think maybe it’s just a gimmick. Buy the shark. Better than a Dyson or anything else.

My last vacuum was hoover which my dogs (lab) fur killed after his first shed. So had to wait a couple of days to receive my shark. I hoover every day to pick up dog fur and on the first day with the shark i had to empty it six times. Its really easy to put together only a few parts. And if you need to use the attachments its just a matter of pulling the handle out you hold to push around and add the attachment. Many people mention how heavy it is but found it only slightly heavier than my hoove

I bought this cleaner to replace a Dyson Animal, which, despite regular filter cleaning and replacement just wasn’t hacking it. To be honest, I’ve become rather disillusioned with Dyson cleaners of late… expensive and heavy.

The Shark is a delight. Others have commented that the cleaner is flimsy, but in my experience everything fits together nicely and easily. It’s very light too – perhaps this is what people mistake for flimsiness?

The Shark navigates the nooks and crannies of a room with ease, and the LED lights help to get right into dark corners.

So, how does it clean? Our house has three dogs and three cats, so the loading from pet hair and dander is significant. I ran the Shark over a carpet that had been recently cleaned by the Dyson and was left with a swath of what looked like brand new carpet. Amazing.

Any downsides? Just one – the collection bin is rather small and fills quickly, necessitating frequent trips to empty it, but to be honest it’s a small price to pay for clean carpets again.

    Strongly recommended.

I was looking for a hoover last year and opted for one of the cheaper cordless ones from amazon. Although this seemed to do the job, I still used my old hoover for a deeper clean (suction wise) and the cordless only lasted a year before performance really dropped. Everyone said to get a Shark but I didn’t have that amount to spend. I looked through the various ones available read all the reviews and thought it would be worth the extra expense as it also comes with a good warranty with parts available with it being a well known brand.
I wasn’t disappointed. Its a good size moves easily around, the anti hair wrap is quite impressive and it’s easy to assemble and use, literally a few clicks, I didn’t even need to read instructions.
For suction power its great 3 easy to adjust settings and easy to use extra tools.
The amount of dust etc it picked up on the first use demonstrated how useless my old hoovers were!
    My carpets looked fluffed up.
The only thing I will say is it is abit on the heavy side the lift away option is useful, it hasn’t put me off fully recommending.
Just be mindful if you can’t lift and want something extra light this probably is the right model.
    Very happy with my purchase.

Best hoover i have ever bought, i have used Dyson, Vax, GTech and others, most lose suction, hair gets wrapped in the brushbar, hard to clean out, batteries run out quickly. This is wired but its a long cable ran from my front door to back door easy. Easy to clean, and switch from normal upright to liftaway mode. Really powerful suction wouldn’t hoover the main road it would take the tarmac up haha. Only downside if i am being picky is its on the heavier side but feels quality made and you certainly get what u paid for. Honestly, dont look at any others this is what you’re after! Well done Shark!

I am really happy with this vacuum cleaner. I used Dyson before -an old model- and wanted to buy a new one but they are all very pricey. So ended buying this one and I am really happy. It only downside is that it is a bit heavy as you are carrying the whole machine with one hand when you r vacuuming, but I suppose I will get used to not putting too much effort in vacuuming as there is no need . Great suction, super easy to use ! I definitely recommend it !

This is ultimately the best vacuum I’ve ever purchased. It collected so much dust, rubbish, cat hair without any hesitation. When I emptied the case I couldn’t believe how much it picked up from just doing our living room. The suction power is excellent for both the carpet and hard floors. It has 2 settings for this but also you can adjust the suction power too which is ideal if your doing rugs or mats etc. The hose is long and does grip to the back – however this doesn’t always stay in place and keeps popping out. The cord is long so you really aren’t stretching – if anything I only untie what I need. You can also use the vacuum in lift away mode to do the stairs, sofas or cobwebs. This is easy to separate.

So downfalls – not many to be honest. The thing I will say it is heavy but manageable. I’ve got used to it and it glides well on both flooring especially carpet.

Overall, a brilliant vacuum and would recommend to anybody thinking about it. It is costly but it does a fantastic job and its worth the money. I bought mine in the Black Friday deals and haven’t regretted it once.

    Absolute brilliant vacuum

I do not take time out for reviews but this particular product deserves my time…firstly i have been a Dyson user for over 15 years using 4 different Dyson models within that time. I was not so impressed anymore with the filters requiring regular washing and drying in order for the Dyson to have any decent suction. I like many thought their would be no better brand out there with a stronger suction.
    BOY WAS I WRONG!
This particular Shark model I purchased has been an absolute revelation…like many others surprised at how the carpet pile comes up with every use, yes it Is at times resistant against pushing and pulling but that for me is a positive as you know its doing what it’s supposed to and more.
Honestly I will never ever go back to the other well known hoover brand, and I honestly feel like ive been fooled by clever marketing and advertising from the other hoover brand.
On a final note there is no comparison in terms of performance vs the other hoover brand, make the move as it will be one you won’t regret and you will have wished you had done the shift years ago!

Good suction and great tool for stairs BUT hose clip on this model still doesn’t work despite being redesigned since I bought my earlier model. Such a simple thing – but so annoying on an expensive machine when it keeps falling out. Also it would be great to be able to attach tools to the main unit for use whilst moving round the house.

This is a good vacuum cleaner for a small house or flat. I have long hair and bought this model especially because of that – it doesn’t suffer from the usual problem of my hair wrapping around various parts of the vacuum. Suction is excellent as are the accessories that come with it. The vacuum can only hold a smallish amount of dirt before needing to be emptied (2-3 times in my 2 bed flat). Less positive things are the hose – very heavy and doesn’t stay in the click-in rea it’s supposed to so constantly in the way. The hose is also very tight so if you need to use it for hard-to-reach areas it pulls the vacuum over. Finally, the cable isn’t friendly for left handers. But overall, it was a good buy and does a very capable job of cleaning.

Having hugely upgraded recently ( my old Henry blew up in fashion) I can only but love my shark.

Pros: cleans amazingly well, the suction power is incredible.
I have wall to wall carpet everywhere, dog, 2 cats children, hair, biscuits and whatever.
It gets rid of all the muck!
Within hovering to lounge using my shark for the first time, I had to empty the tank it was full of fluff, hair and whatnot. Gross.

Cons: I find it a bit on the heavy side and I wish the cord was retractable.
This being said, I am very happy with my purchase.

So many of my friends recommended Shark so I bit the bullet and bought this one .
Omg it puts my Dyson to shame . I cannot recommend this enough . The anti hair wrap is amazing as I have long hair and my Dyson used to struggle removing it from carpet .
The suction is brilliant and it’s so easy to use . Arrived well packaged and it was so easy to put together . If I could rate it more than 5 stars I would . If definitely didn’t disappoint. Brilliant!

Been using Dyson most of my adult life, always swoke by them, but given the problematic nature of Dyson the comapny I decided not to give them any more money and went for this, and honestly never had such a good vacuum in my life. It beats them on suction, easy of use, it has a light on the front that helps highlight what you are vacuuming up. It has various configurations and power settings for carpet and wooden floors. I got this in a sale with 175 so I feel like I got an even better bargain. Won’t ever get a Dyson again and thanks to comapnies like this I’ll never have to.

I never thought I could be so excited over a vacuum or purchase but honestly, I love this Shark so much!
I’ve had this vacuum for a few months now and can honestly say it’s the best one I’ve ever owned.
I have long dark hair and shed constantly. This vacuum easily gets hair and any ingrained crumbs or dirt out of carpets or hard floors.
One of the best features is the anti hair wrap on the brush. With my previous vacuums (Dyson and Vax) I’ve had to take the brush off and cut all the hair off after only using the vacuum a few times. The Shark technology has meant hair doesn’t get trapped around the brush so no need to constantly disassemble.
I also love how easy it is to take off the hose and dirt compartment for cleaning the stairs.
The *only* two quibbles I would have are that the dirt compartment is fairly small in comparison to most others BUT it’s very easy and quick to dump the dirt out.
The power cord is a decent length but in my own opinion is love it to be a teeny bit longer.

Much better than the two Dyson DC14 that i have and quieter. Have now used this shark 850UKT on stairs and carpets throughout the house, also used on vinyl kitchen floor. Very happy with suction on all types of cleaning. Like also that I can reduce suction on the handle/wand which is close at hand. Only downside is the short hose, and also the main body can overbalance. But I use the lift off facility for that and stairs. The beater bar is narrower than I am used to, but works ok. (There is a model with wider cleaning area for those that have a lot of carpets.) Son and daughters all have earlier models 601/602 and 801? All say the same, really, really good, just watch out for the machine tipping over.

This is a good vacuum cleaner which I bought to replace a Dyson Big Ball animal which broke down and would have cost more to mend than buy a new vacuum cleaner!! Which recommended this cleaner and as it was on a Black Friday deal I bought it. In summary it is a great powerful cleaner – slightly let down by two things: 1) the cleaning head is narrower than previous cleaners I have owned – thus more pushing around to cover the area, and 2) the dust collection bin is tiny and so more frequent emptying. Other than these points I am impressed.

  27. Anonymous says:

Seems everything you’d ever need in a vacuum cleaner. All the quick release mechanisms are a joy and it just feels like real quality.
Would take forever to say what its pros are, which is almost everything. So would be easier to say what it’s cons are.

The hose clip that holds the hose to the main upright section/wand doesn’t attach as firmly as I’d like, meaning it unclips itself too easily.

One of the accessories, the ‘2 in 1 Duster Crevice Tool’ has a neat retracting brush which is really useful. It could be my incompetence but I have to wrestle with it a little when retracting.

That’s about it, so really stretching it to find any cons.

    Massive recommendation for this machine.

Good for picking up dog hair. Quite agile for doing the floor, parts and set-up a bit fiddly, instruction manual helpful, maybe not as powerful, robust or easy to use as our old Dyson, and has a significantly smaller dust container, but once we get used to it will be appreciated as a useful and efficient vacuum cleaner. Recommended.

Absolutely thrilled with this vacuum and I should know as I am the proud owner of no less than 7 vacuum cleaners! Whilst I have a Shark cordless (pretty good but 2 battery packs are essential) it does not compare to the suction power of this. I also have 2 Miele cylinders (one bagless and one bagged) and the Shark wipes the floor with them both! This machine is just amazing. Everything at your finger tips and the whole cleaner is solid and study and clunk’s together easily. The powered lift away is fantastic for the stairs and the attachments are perfect for the vast majority of household requirements and the suction power is A1. My house is cleaned every day with a eufy robovac and also a cordless Shark. On the first clean with this vac, I had half a dustbin full of dust and cat hair. The suction pulls up the carpet pile and cleans the surface better than any other cleaner I’ve owned.
A couple of points to note, it’s is considerably heavier than a cylinder or cordless vac. And the suction power is so good, it can be difficult to push on carpeted surfaces (if so just adjust the floorhead setting and it will become easier)
The only downside is the cable length, at 8m it is still too short for open plan living and larger properties and I find it frustrating to have to frequently unplug and replug. If Shark could make a version with a longer cable I’m sure it would be popular. Apart from that, it is my go to Vacuum. And whilst the Eufy is still in daily use (they are fantastic auto vacs) The Miele’s are resigned to the garage and the Shark takes centre stage. It’s just brilliant!

I’d have rated this 5 stars if it was lighter, it’s far beyond that comfortable ‘dyson chordless’ featherweight. My wife hates it as it’s too heavy for her, you need a strong arm. I still gave it 4 stars as it is nice and powerful so that’s the compromise. I use it on both floors and carpets and it does a great job but again the weight could be a deal-breaker if you want something that you can whizz around the house with.

Love the suction power and the headlights in particular. It also squeezes into small places better than my last cleaner which had a bigger head. Easy to put together. Only things I am not too keen on are the tendency for the hose to come out of its clip and the necessity of removing attachments after use every time. I always left the nozzle tool on my old vac handle so I could quickly switch to it and back again as I hoovered.

This is a really efficient and compact machine. I was a bit disappointed about the width compared to my previous very ancient Dyson, but because the machine turns and gets into corners, this more than compensates for size

  33. Anonymous says:

Extremely competent cleaner. Only slight criticisms are that it is pretty heavy and the power lead enters the cleaner on the right hand side, so that being right handed I hold the lead with my left hand whilst holding the cleaner with my right, which means that when re-inserting the detachable body and wand to do the stairs etc the lead often gets tangled between the wand and body unless the cleaner is held with the left hand and the lead with the right. Other than that little niggle it does a first class job in all modes.

Having a Dyson, or rather several Dysons over many years, we have taken the leap and gone with the Shark. In truth, I am sick to death of finding the Dyson needs charging or runs out half way round the house.

I have never been sold on the cordless hoovers anyway so this was a great opportunity to get the additional power and flexibility of just having to plug it in.

The Shark goes together very simply and online registration was simple and provides a 5 year guarantee. The hoover itself is heavier than the Dyson, mainly due to build quality and it has a satisfying click as parts go together.

Importantly – is it any better?
Yes Yes Yes…. Having just cleaned the staircase and landing carpet with the Dyson, I was interested to see if the Shark would pick up anything missed. WOW – We were both shocked to see how much better it really is. Almost scary finding out what the Dyson left behind.

The Shark is extremely powerful, easy to maneuver and has ample lead to get the job done. Easily emptied although easily filled again due to the superb design and suction. From thick carpet to hard floors, it seems to just make light work of any task.

Tools store neatly on the back of the hoover, so gone are the days of the trying to find the Dyson attachments, a seemingly impossible task. The walk away option is ideal for stairs and everything just feels solid, well built and sturdy.

We are thrilled with Shark. Yes, it was a leap of faith after having a Dyson for so many years. We have no regrets, no batteries to charge, no missing tools, and certainly cleaner carpets and floors.

There is additional weight with the Shark but this reflects a choice to ditch the constant charging for a lead. Whilst Dysons remain great hoovers, they have dropped the lead making you reliant on charging before use. This does not suit us as we want simple smart tech without the faff.

I really do not understand the need for charging batteries as it uses the same electricity and plug sockets in my home. The Shark uses electricity as and when it is required – simply plug it in. No loss of power half way through the task and batteries are not a green option given recycling requirements.

Overall, both are great hoovers, it just comes down to personal preference, age and any restrictions you may have at home. We are now Shark users, and we LOVE i

I’ve worked on Vacuums for quite a few years so I know what to look for, and what I like to see. I split this into 3 sections so you can glance at what’s important to you.

    LOOKS AND FEEL
It feels robust, and I think it looks good. It feels solid with weight behind it, but not overly heavy.
This will manoeuvre really well where you want it to go.
I have hard floors and a really deep pile carpet. It it’s been good on all.

    SUCTION AND CLEANING
I’m used to the older big heavy Vacuums that suck like hell and beat the crap out of the carpet, until EU got involved and limited the power on all Vacuums. So for me the Vacuum has never been the same But the Shark does very well in this department. Edge cleaning is good on hard floors and deep pile, the suction is good which I’m surprised at given the limited power.
Deep pile carpets are the test for me. This does a good job and better than my previous Vac which broke after 4 weeks.
The Shark lifts the pile and leaves it looking clean.
Stairs with the hand held attachment. Just blown away that finally a manufacturer put some thought into this, and not just a cash cow to churn out crap.
One click to lift of the Handle and one click to lift of the motor (and it’s not heavy!) and your ready for the stairs. I thing the air driven brush attachment is great and works really well. Good edge to edge.

    SUMMARY
Yes it’s more than I would usually spend but I can now see the benefits.
    Hard floor- Great
    Deep Pile – Great
    Stairs – Great

I can add too much more as it’s straight out the box, but I get the feeling that if you clean your filters regularly, you may have this vacuum for a long time
The only down side is that after 2 days I can’t get the Vac registered on the Shark website. Unfortunately the website is a nightmare

I always said I would never spend a lot of money on a hoover, until my friend got one and I was there for the unboxing and seeing first hand the amount of pet hair it took out the carpet in a small space, having two long haired cats I ordered one the same day and am so glad I did. Hoovering takes me a lot less time, you see instant amazing results. Would be better if there was a retractable cable

This hoover was recommended to me by my pet boarded and I got it off here on a really good deal so super happy. It’s much quieter than my old Vax, like the lights on the front and the fact that you can lift it away, remove prt of the handle and use the big main brush to hoover under the bed or stairs. One annoying this is that the additional tools keep falling off the little holders for them and on/off switch could be placed elsewhere for easier access but I can live with that because the hoover does a great job with my and my dogs hair!

So if you are like me & cannot afford a Dyson but want a quality vaccum cleaner which does as good as a Dyson, look no further.

I have carpet every where in my house & vaccum every single day so i am a vaccum expert there, my shark vaccum do break sometimes due to over use from my part, Shark customer service has always been fab sending me parts for free if needed (under warranty). My last one broke due to over used so Shark took it back to investigate & improve & send me another one for free

I love the anti hair wrap technology (i have long hair and so my daughter & our cat, we have spend lots of time cutting hair tangled in vaccum head on previous model & i am so happy to say this actualy new wrap does not get any single hair trap in it (wow!)

Just hoovered my bedroom floor and I was horrified/impressed with the amount of dust it found lurking!! Was a little surprised by the size of the head of the hoover as I’m used to my wider Vax but it did make it a lot easier to get into smaller spaces and it seemed to suck up dust right up to the skirting board so I didn’t need to get in there with the nozzle.
Heavier than I expected so might be a struggle for someone who is a bit older but overall I’m impressed with it so far!

Best suction of any vacuum we’ve ever had. Actually embarrassing to see how filthy the carpets were. We had a new carpet laid months ago and the amount of the small fibres you get in new carpets that it sucked up was unreal. (after months of doing with the old machine). Convenient to be able to dismount motor and carry it with you, makes stairs a doddle. Wife has long hair and always clogged up the old one; the no-hair clog feature on this really works! Some might find it a bit heavy but do we not spend a lot of time nowadays belittling the fact that most things we buy feel like “cheap plasticky crap” so theres no way I’ll mark this down for having a bit of weight about it. Coming from a using a cylinder machine you have to get used to the cable being a bit in the way again but you just have to adapt your technique to sort this. The handle/wand part is a wee bit more cumbersome than the simple long handle on our old cylinder machine but you get used to it and the on/off button just at your thumb is very convenient to use. The handle has 3 settings for different surfaces and this does work slightly as a power control but I think what is missing is the ability to reduce the power even further for more delicate jobs; it wants to eat rugs its so powerful. Again how could I mark it down for being too powerful?? Just adapt your technique and for lightweight rugs use the wand with the brush attachment and not the powerhead.

I got this to replace an old cordless gtech that was on its last legs. I expected better suction with this being a wired model, but after assembling (which was mercifully straightforward) I switched it on and went over the rug that the gtech had been pushing dirt around for years, and before I knew it, the shark was already a quarter full of ground in dust and grime. It’s a powerful beast.
I then tried the pet attachment on the furniture, and after a few brushed over it looked visibly cleaner.
I then pushed out around the front room and kitchen, and it picked up all the small particles that were visible, and it managed larger bits that would just get pushed around by the gtech.
The big selling point for this model for me was the anti hair wrap roller. Living in a house with 3 long haired people and a cat (I don’t add to the problem by keeping my hair little more than stubble). So far so good on that point, no sign of any hair left on the roller.
Is easy to use, although the suction on it does take a little bit of effort to push,
    particularly on deep piles.
You can disconnect the main unit from the stick, letting you get low and in to harder to reach places. The end can also be detached to reach high up, it’s easy to get to the ceiling with it.
Noise wise, it’s a lot quieter than the gtech, and has an almost pleasant jet engine sound. The pet brush is a bit noisier, but still quieter than the gtech mk2 it replaces.
The 8 metre cable makes up for the reduced portability, it’ll easily reach from the living room, down the hall and in to the kitchen.
All in all, I’m impressed with my first impressions.

I have had two previous Dyson’s both pet hair models. I actual prefer the pet Shark model I like how all the components come apart. It’s great for vacuuming the stairs. Love the light on the front and how easy it is to get under things. The lift away is fab.
Only thing I don’tike is when using the wand section the rest of the vacuum falls over, which is annoying.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have a Hetty Hoover, she’s fantastic at most things but….she’s bloomin cumbersome. So, I bought a Shark! Why didn’t I think to buy one before I don’t know.
It arrived in a box. Open it up to find the Shark box, which has no plastic packaging inside (love this idea). Really simple instructions to put together. Now, I had already Hoovered our rug. I have long hair and the cat, well she’s a dirt bag so there’s fluff everywhere! So I thought it was all clean, how wrong was I. Three settings take you from hard floor to thick carpet/rug. Turned it on and ran it over the rug, so much easier to use than the Hetty, it glided over. Some say it’s heavy, well, it’s not light but I didn’t have any trouble with it all and I literally have no upper body strength haha After finishing the rug, I looked at the “dirt holder”, oh my days, I was revolted and amazed at the same time. It was half full, which begs the question, what on earth has Hetty been doing all this time (lazy mare)? At that point I felt the need to do the rest of the house. Suction is fantastic, and my hair doesn’t get tangled up. Using it on the stairs is simple too. I absolutely love this. Just to be clear, I haven’t been paid to write this..I just really like i

I bought this to replace a cheaper vacuum that I had previously bought from Hoover that stopped working after 6 months. I’ve only had this for a week but so far I am very impressed. It’s a very sturdy hoover and feels well made. It’s very easy to put together, you just need to click a few pieces into place. The suction power is excellent! It picks up everything that my previous vacuum missed and the carpets look cleaner than they ever did before. I like the fact that it detaches making hoovering the stairs very easy and the cord is long enough to do 3 flights of stairs no problem. It comes with 2 attachments which is very handy. The chamber is quite small so it does require emptying after each hoover but that really isn’t an issue and a small price to pay for such a powerful vacuum cleaner. My only critique, which isn’t really an issue for me but I think could be a problem for some, is that the vacuum itself is quite heavy so if you have weak wrists or aren’t particularly fit, then you might struggle. Other than that, this is a wonderful cleaner and I’m very impressed with my first Shark product. Whether it stands the test of time is another matter but I have confidence.

So well made sturdy well thought out. Two little and I mean little moans the clip that holds the flexible pipe to the body does not hold flexible section in place and there is no spare place to store the additional motorised brush. However it’s heavy so be warned. I love that it all easily clicks together. The removable part to enable you to do stairs car anywhere I’d fab. I have a shark cordless vacuum bought a few months ago and was so impressed splashed out on this. I feel it will be well worth the money and last for years so good and green too. Swivel head you get the hang of quickly.

I have never had a bagless vacuum as I suffer from asthma, but this canister is small and so easy to empty that dust has never flown out during emptying or caused an issue.
I was amazed at how much fluff came from my recently-vacuumed carpet (using my old cleaner) when using the Shark for the first time. With the suction control on full, it even pulled the pile back up on my carpet.
The vacuum cleaner is easy to push around (I have arthritis) due to the suction control element and the steerable head.
It cleans right up to the edge both sides of the head and only leaves the smallest of bands at the front. The front lights make it easy to see under furniture and the low, small head enables it to go under most tables. To get even lower, the collection canister can be removed.
For the stairs, the canister is removed and carried to the top of the stairs, leaving the handle and motor (base) downstairs.
Everything is easy to remove and click back on, everything is easily accessible, from the power button, the carpet/hard floor button, the tools.
    I absolutely love my Shark

If you have pets this Hoover is a must. Honestly, I was reluctant due to the price however, it has to be the best hoover I have ever bought. It is slightly heavy but it is adaptable to just about anything. Honestly I would write a review if I wasn’t 100% but I really am. This hoover is the one for you if you have pets. It finds hair you didn’t even know was there I was shocked the first time I used it. I still am to be honest.

    Enjoy x

This is a truly awesome hoover. It’s easy to fit together and take apart. It’s slightly heavy for me as I have spine and mobility problems but is still far easier than any hoover I’ve tried before. The suction is amazing. I love that you can adjust for different flooring with a flick of a button instead of struggling to change the brush all the time.

The hoover is really quiet which surprised me and is a great feature. I personally haven’t tried it on stairs as I would be unsafe but my family member who normally does it for me said it’s loads easier to use than previous hoovers.

I have to agree that the dust cup is small. But it detaches so quickly and easily that I don’t see it as a problem at all

This is my first shark hoover. I’ve been buying another very well known brand over the last 25 years and I have to say that I would never go back to their hoovers even though I swore by them for so many years

Arrived safely and well packaged. Very easy to put together, took me about one minute. It is quite heavy compared to a cordless but I expected that. Just done entire house and was amazed at how much it picked up. Love the fact that you can separate the canister for stairs as this makes it alot easier as you don’t have to lug the heavy part with you. Suction is excellent.

Prior to owning the Shark NZ801UKT, we had a Numatic Henry, they are good vacuums with great suction power, however they do not work on carpets, they were not designed for carpets, there is no agitation of the fibres with the Henry vacuum and because of this, our carpet at home would have hair (from my hairy legs, wife’s long hair, daughter’s hair …etc). I don’t mean hair as bad having a pet at home (e.g. cat or dog) but still, it was annoying us.

After we got this, the difference is amazing. We struggle to find a single hair.

Negative points for us is the fact that the plastic of the body of the NZ801UKT gets discoloured when it bumps into things, so scuffs and marks are really apparent. On day one, we got scuffs because we gently bumped into the edge of a table.

Very good quality. 5 years warranty is really good. Suction power is very good. Quite stylish as well. Just one drawback, the cleaner i quite heavy and becomes difficult to use with one hand and holding cylinder in other hand. The pipe between cylinder and cleaner is small

So glad I purchased the shark vacuum. I have fibromyalgia and struggle with vacuuming with my old vacuum (Henry) the shark is so lightweight making it easier to carry whilst using on the stairs, my bedroom carpet was quite flat using the shark has fluffed the carpet back too. I cannot believe the amount of rubbish that comes up out of the carpet and I usually vacuum daily. This is a must have vacuum. If you are anything like me and your hair falls out in stupid amounts this vacuum sucks every little strand, whereas with my old vacuum I’d have to brush my hands over the carpet to pick up the rest.

Was constantly fixing my old Dysons, but finally got so fed up that I thought I’d try the shark.
Instantly wish I’d done this sooner. So easy to use, and the suction is powerful. The fact you can take it apart and carry the tiny handle and unit up the stairs with ease, the volume of the vacuum is low, the switch from hard floor to carpet being at the finger tip, the variable suction being easy to move about if needed all are great. It was quite shocking the amount of hair it collects. Use it every day and the filters are very easy to clean.

    Brilliant vacuum.

I have very thick and long hair. No matter what hoover i have used in the past (Dyson included) it always gets caught up in the brushes. This is the first hoover i have ever bought where this has not happened. It sucks up every single hair with ease. I also love the little lights on the front of the hoover head. I live in the loft where my spotlights only sit at one end of the room. As a result of the lights i can see every nook and cranny with ease. I also get this hoover at almost 50% off!

The reason I bought the shark was because my big dyson had lost its suction, and my cordless dyson kept running out of battery half way through cleaning and it was peeing me off! Now, bare in mind I used my cordless dyson and hoovered the house (in two attempts) yesterday, the two pictures attached show the shark half full after hoovering just the rug in the sitting room! I then emptied it and the other picture shows it full after hoovering upstairs! Safe to say I’m a convert to the shark! Third of the price of a dyson too!

    A little bit speechless!

I have used about 4 battery operated cleaners in the past few years which although good did not have the power to do the work efficiently and usually I buy a spare battery because one battery only gets the job half done in our house. I decided to go back to a plug in and this one is one of the best I have used. The only thing I would say that it is quite heavy to use. If they could only make a really, really light weight vacuum that you could plug in it would be perfect.

Needed to replace my old Dyson cylinder so thought I’d give Shark a go. It certainly does what it says. Very powerful suction, and can change how much suction needed. It removes so much dust and hair from my carpet. It has fluffed my carpets back up again so look for like new. Handy with the lift away for stairs. Only negative I’d say, compared to my Dyson it is heavy, especially when on full suction.

    Powerful

like the detachable unit for stairs, its cleaned the carpets 10X better than our old dyson.
Has headlamps so you can use it in a power cut 🙂
Thought the smaller head would not be as good but it is better as it gets into places the Dyson could not
Not many negatives , the hard floor/Carpet option is not easy to see and it has such good suction & lifting ability we are emptying the dust a lot more. Glad we bought it, money well spent.

I’m disappointed with how heavy the vacuum is, and it’s incredibly difficult to push on carpets, I have to use both arms for the most part. But the suction is great, the head is nice and low so it goes pretty far under most furniture, and the light on the head is a nice feature too. Oh, and the cord is really long which is great for not having to unplug for every room.

I have wanted a shark for ages.
When it went on sale I couldn’t not snap one up. I went for the anti hair wrap technology and pet hair lift away. I don’t have a pet however you never know in the future.
Set up was easy! As simple as ABC!
My first hoover with it left me floored. I hoover daily and use carpet freshners ect. Yet just the stuff the shark picked up in my living room alone made me feel sick after thinking my previous hoover although old, did a good job of cleaning. How wrong I was! Just on the basis of suction and it’s capability of collecting far more stuff from your carpet than standard hoovers will keep me as a shark customer.
The reason I particularly went for the shark was also because of the anti hair wrap technology, now I could be wrong but I took this to mean when I hoover the mass of hair my carpet accumulates from me, and believe me its alot I have extremely long thick hair and malt worse than a dog, that it would not wrap around the hoover part, this is not the case however as you can see in the photo my hair has managed to wrap itself round it. Which I found a little disappointing however it could be because of the length of my hair.
Only other thing that stood out to me is when using as lift away for stairs, which somehow it manages to do an amazing job on, when using the attachment its loud, like super loud almost annoyingly loud.
Those aside though I am very much in love with my new toy

    Anti hair wrap?

I brought this to replace another brand which had given up the ghost. This hoover is very powerful and really useful for cleaning stairs, cars and hard to reach areas. It is a little bit bulky and a bit of a faff to use the lift away part but worth while. The anti-hair wrap however is a gimmick. I have long hair and the roller has already had to be removed to be untangled.

Nice and light to use and the narrow swivel head means you can get easily into awkward corners. The attachment for stairs is best I’ve used for that job; it gets right into the corners.
Because of width of bin it doesn’t lie flat to get under bed, so I have to use hose with attachment. The hose clips into the back of the machine, but this is quite loose, so the hose ends up waving about.
Would recommend for manoeuvre ability and lightness

I had heard that Shark vacuum cleaners were the best for pet hair, so when I needed a new vacuum cleaner I looked at them. They are not cheap. But I thought if it is good, does the job and lasts, it will be worth it. I have a semi long haired cat, who moults for England. Also I liked the sound of the anti hair wrap element on the head. Since going through the menopause, my hair falls out and gets wound around my old vacuum cleaners head.
It arrived. Now to unpack it. I am not terribly technical; thankfully, the instructions came in a booklet, with illustrations. Being a big kid at heart, I had to play with my new toy. So I cleaned the whole house. Wow! The suction is superb. I had to alter the setting. The moving head felt a little strange at first, but that was just because I had never had this function on a vacuum before. It cleans brilliantly. It is pretty heavy. The cannister part comes off for doing stairs etc. Overall, I have an excellent machine here.

After 15 years of allegiance (and 5x replacement models) towards Dyson vacuums and frustration to their short life span, we thought we’d go for a change after recommendations from friends and some good reviews.

Best decision we could have made – what a wonderful product, both as a traditional vacuum and the various ways that it can be broken into different types of handhelds.

A little heavy on the steering and the dust tank too small and sometimes falls over when using the full wand due to the heaviness of the trailing hose. Super easy to use.
    Great with dust protection
Rollers are great and suction is adequate for pet hair.
Lift away is great and easy to use for the stairs
    Only negatives there are two.
1 the nozzle hose is very short but if yiu have the ift away not much of an issue.
    2. The power isn’t as long as what I’m used to but still unplugging and plugging in again is not too much of a chore.

Had our old Dyson for about 12 years and it wasn’t picking up well and the switch for hard floor to carpet had broken. Bought this Shark as my two daughters had bought them in the past. Had only hoovered the house the day before it arrived with the old vacuum so tested out the new Shark and was just amazed how much it had picked up. The collection box was nearly 3/4 full! Great suction which is adjustable with a switch which is great for us as we have all new carpets upstairs and the full suction was too strong. So easy to use and great for hoovering the stairs with lift away as the collection box sits on the stairs while you Hoover much better than balancing a whole vacuum on the stairs. Also comes with extra tools for cleaning. Would highly recommend and will definitely buy Shark in the future.

OK so this is an amazing hoover. Compared to my previous hoover, I thought my carpets were clean following a clean from my previous hoover. The first time I received the shark hoover I gave it a go anyway and waw, the hidden hairs etc. It filled the whole compartment. I never look back on purchasing this product. However, I have only given the product 4 stars because I do not believe it is great at the anti tangle feature and find myself frequently pulling the hairs out of the roller. I would reccomend this hoover still though…

I don’t generally write reviews for purchases, but I feel compelled to review this vacuum cleaner. Simply put it’s simply fabulous! The suction is great, I have a dog and clean most days,
and although I have hard flooring downstairs, I am impressed and frankly a little shocked how much dirt is sucked up from my carpet upstairs. Yes, the dust collecting ‘pod’ is quite small, but frankly is proportionate for the compact size of the machine, which makes it easy to store as my cleaning cupboard is not cavernous. The ease at which the various components come apart is great, makes cleaning very easy, and I especially love the fact that the dust collecting pod comes off so I can hoover under my bed – this is why I chose this particular model! So glad I replaced my cylinder vacuum cleaner with this one, my Shark does a much better job. Yes, the machine is made of plastic, but what isn’t these days? All the components click together nicely, they don’t feel cheap… As a foot note I would like to give 5 stars to the manufacturer for packaging the machine entirely in cardboard, not one bit of plastic could I find – well done! I was very pleased and impressed to find this, if only other manufacturers did the same! Well done Shark.

I absolutely love my new Shark! I’ve never spent so much on a vacuum cleaner, but can honestly say it’s worth every penny – I cannot believe the amount of dirt and hair it sucked out of my carpets on its first use! At first glance, it looked tiny, and I wondered how it would cope with a large carpet. However, it steers! It’s incredibly manoeverable so you don’t have to keep moving furniture to accommodate it and it’s light weight and easyto manipulate. I currently have it on its lowest suction setting and it glides easily between carpet, hard floor, door mats and even dog beds without losing suction or eating anything it shouldn’t – my previous hoover sucked up the edges of mats and vetbeds, blocking up and making it hard to use effectively. It really does pick up hair and dog hairs without them wrapping round the brushes! And the pet hair attachment works amazingly on the stairs – in fact the whole lift away function means stairs are easy. My previous Hoover had a similar attachment but it never worked, grinding to a halt as soon as it encountered dog hair, so I’m really impressed with this one. It has quite a small capacity tank, but it is simple and easy to empty when I’ve finished using it each time, so this isn’t an issue. I have only one criticism and that is that the pet hair attachment, being an extra, has nowhere to attach to on the body of the vacuum cleaner when not in use. Given that the model I bought comes with this attachment as standard, I feel this is a bit of an oversight. A minor detail, though, and I wouldn’t mark it down because of it.

I am over the moon with this hoover. I wish i had invested much sooner. It is easy to assemble. It is heavier than my previous hoover, saying that it moves over carpet and hard floor easily, picking up dog hairs and budgie feathers. I love that you can lift the lift away pod away when doing stairs, making it a doddle to do and much quicker. I would not hesitate to recommend to a friend. Its true what they say, you only get what you pay for.

Had a Dyson for years which then really gave up and no point repairing – too far gone. So opted after some research for something midway and came up with this Shark Upright. So far so good – It seems to pick up so much which the other didn’t (likely as it was rather old anyway). The Shark is lighter and with the detachable container – I can reach and get under furniture (especially beds) which was always difficult before. I’ve not used it for that long so I can’t say much on it’s durability – but for the time being I’m perfectly happy with it. Only thing I would say, is that the container which collects the dust is quite small – so it does need to be emptied often. However, it’s not hard to do and if you’re detaching it – you don’t want something that’s heavy to hold – so it makes sense. I’ve cleaned all my blinds with it and that has been a blessing also. One other thing is make sure the green light is on – if you take out the hose or do various – if they’re not back in place properly and the green light doesn’t show, then it’s not picking up. All small things, but worth having a good look through the instructions. So far so good and it does the job well. Oh forgot to say, i’ve got wooden parquet flooring and honestly haven’t seen it look so clean for a long time with just the hoover. That is a real ++!

Always been a Dyson buyer but managed to get talked in to this Shark vacuum to save some $$ after a move across the world. Honestly, I’m pretty impressed. Only vacuumed with it a few times so far but it’s pretty on par with the higher end uprights especially with suction power. The only thing I would say is it’s decently heavy, doesn’t bother me, and the dust bin is pretty small (I have a dog that sheds a lot) but not the end of the world. Came with the 3 attachments including the self powered attachment which was used to vacuum the stairs/couch and worked great. Overall, pretty stoked and even saved a 100 off the original price with the sale!

I am rarely impressed by a product or customer service (other than Amazon customer service which tends to be my benchmark against which I measure other suppliers of all kinds). However, my beloved Shark failed me after 14 months when, despite a clean and new filter, lost all suction. Now to say that my Shark works hard would be an understatement. I am a lover of clean and use my Shark constantly. My kids are always on the move, in fear of being sucked up if they stay in one place for too long. One phone call to Shark customer service followed by an email with a screenshot of my Amazon order.and less than 24 hours later and a replacement part had arrived, been installed and the Shark was back at full working order. Thank you Shark – both your product and your customer service have impressed me. And not forgetting Amazon who are like a digital history of household warranties across all my electricals!

Probably the best vacuum I’ve ever owned, and I’ve had a dyson and a Miele before. I have three dogs and two humans with long hair living in the house the anti hair wrap thing really works! Very intuitive to use, it has so many functions and ways you can use it, but really easy to suss it all out. Plus it’s ever so easy to take apart for cleaning the filters and taking the roller heads out for when accidentally suck up your husband’s phone earphones (ooops). I vacuumed with my old vacuum before using this one for the first time, and was amazed at how much extra stuff came up from the carpets with the Shark (bit gross actually). Would definitely recommend and buy this again.

OMG! This is the best vacuum cleaner i have ever bought. The suction is very powerful and its amazing that i never have to get the scissors out to cut loads of hair off the bar. Two of us have long hair and never a sign of hair to be seen on the bar. We also have 4 cats and its awesome for sucking up fur… the attachment for the hoze does a fantastic job too. The first time we used it we could see all the dust that our old hoover left behind.
I’m not sure if this will be suitable for someone who is weak as its abit heavy and hard to push on full suction… but its worth it for me… i love i

A well made machine, not tilly-willy like some. Effective on picking up dog hairs. Great for use on stairs, curtains and valances due to the way it comes apart, making it lightweight to use. No need to worry about corners, works like the roller ball. All in all a good machine. The only small negative point would be I miss the retractable lead that I previously had but everything else makes up for that.

This is a very powerful Vacuum cleaner that feels solid and well designed.
I wanted to change my Dyson ( nnever buying one of those again ) because of constant quality problems and i am pleased that i picked the Shark. I read all the reviews beforehand and took the plunge.
This is by far the BEST and most powerful Vacuum i have ever had. Better than a Dyson and about 65% cheaper too. Despite the power it has it is very quiet. You could talk on the phone and still clean.
The roller on the head pops out if it hits a major obstruction but it just clips back in in a few seconds. This is to save having to remove screws for just a simple operation. Well thought out.
I am more than pleased with my purchase and wish i had bought one insted of my previous overpriced Dyson.

    A great Vacuum cleane

Well what can I say. I have been a dyson owner for well over 15 years. Never felt brave enough to venture to anything else. Over the years I’ve heard so much great stuff about the shark from people who own them. Well my dyson packed in and I decided to venture to the other side. Well I have been blown away. I’ve not found anything bad to say about it (okay maybe one little thing I’ll mention later) the suction is immense, the diet that came from my rug which I’d have said was clean was incredible. Made me sick. It’s soo easy to use with the lift away action for stairs, cars etc. The lights are great at the front. It’s not heavy to use, the suction on full can mean it feels hard to use on some surfaces, but turning the suction down on the handle eases the suction. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. It was a steal at 199. LOVE IT!!

I had my first Shark vacuum over four years ago. I have a double coated dog and my Shark had a LOT of use over the years. It is an exceptional vacuum and out performs the Dyson and Hoover Pet vacuums I previously had. My Shark eventually gave up the fight and there is no way I would have any vacuum other than a Shark. This new one arrived the next day (much needed due to dog hair!). Yet again it is excellent and I have to include that it was good to see that each part was no longer packaged in plastic bags but recyclable packaging.

After the motor of the previous Shark Upright became permanently underpowered, I bought this one. It does the job and is quieter than the previous version, but this is at the cost of the suction head being over 1″ smaller than the previous model. I know between the two purchases regulations came in limiting the power of new vacuum cleaners, and this seems to be the way they have maintained the level of suction in the latest version. In some ways the smaller head makes manouvering around chairs etc easier, but it does make the job a bit longer.

This was a perfect upgrade from a rival bagless vacuum cleaner provider, who shall remain unnamed.

It came packaged in paper bags rather than plastic, which was an excellent start. The warranty is simple enough to register.

It comes with all the nozzles you’d expect and is easy to assemble. I love the “lift away” feature, which makes vacuuming stairs so easy.

It’s also great that you can change the suction strength, which you will need to adjust depending on the surface you are vacuuming. The instructions make it very clear you may need to do this if you encounter resistance.

As for cleaning up hair, the photographs people have shared with clumps of hair are obviously uploaded by employees of a rival company. I have attached a photo of my brush head after three months of use, and there are only small strands of hair. Those people clearly vacuumed over a massive clump of hair, so ignore them.

Ditch the rivals, and buy one of these gems!

    Superb vacuum - highly recommended

I have had this unit since late March 21. This will vacuum any normal floor surface including deep pile carpets, and remove very long fur without clogging the unit. You have to continually empty the tub as soon as it reaches near full – but this is a small price to pay for a unit that simply removes all and doesn’t clog. Suction is very adjustable once you get used to it! Having spent some considerable sums of money over the years on vacuums that supposedly did such – but that I had to strip and de-clog the vacuum head at least twice when cleaning the lounge carpet!
There is a slight problem (at least for us) in that the unit is heavy – but is all but negated by the ability to separate and carry the total motor /vacuum unit. Works brilliantly on stairs with the mini unit, as does the basic vacuum head and stem under the beds. It also has a very long cable! Wonders will never cease.
An outstanding unit at a reasonable price.

I cannot fault this hoover and have not stopped raving about since it arrived. I hoovered with my Henry the same morning my shake arrived, once it arrived and I assembled it (super easy) I couldn’t wait to try it. To say the least I was shocked at how useless the Henry has been! My carpets look like new and the hoover lines are amazing! It is a pretty heavy hoover but the lift away part is great for stairs. Again I cannot recommend enough! If your in doubt it BUY IT!! You won’t be disappointed

I have 2 dogs and toddler, hair and crumbs are no longer an issue.

    Highly recommended

I’d heard good things about the Shark, so had high expectations.

Having had a faithful Dyson for over 12 years, it was a real toss-up when it came to make the change.

First out of the box I was struck by how small the brush head looked, but I need’nt have worried. This thing sucks so hard I thought the carpet was going to come up!

In fact just one pass of the living room carpet and it looked like I hadn’t vacuumed in years.

It pulled out dust and hairs that my old dyson had missed.

Great variable suction. Fabulous at getting dog hairs up. Easy to manoeuvre. Handy little headlights so you can see where the dust bunnies are hiding under your furniture.

And the stair tool was a marvel. Just detach the bin section and you’re off!

An all round great job. Sure the bin is a bit small if you’re doing a whole house, but what it lacks in the booty section it makes up for in sheer power.

    Definitely recommend.

Finally, a vacuum cleaner that really deals with dog and human hair! Seemed rather expensive, but it was worth the money as it has tremendous suction and really does get our carpets clean. Our black Collie-cross sheds fur at an amazing rate, and we were having a losing battle with the old vacuum, especially as my wife’s long hair became wrapped around the brushes. This one really hacks it. It is also very flexible, with removable dust box, handle and wand for easy cleaning of stairs etc. The only drawbacks are that 1) it feels a bit flimsy, but it is very light and portable, so I suppose you can’t have everything; and 2) the dust box is rather small, so it has to be emptied frequently.

This vacuum is amazing. I have been a life-long Vax user but made the switch as needed something more powerful for pet hair and the Shark was recommended.
So powerful, easy to use, versatile for the whole home and I’ve also bought the car pack which is really handy.
Can’t recommend this vacuum enough … it has literally made vacuuming enjoyable!
My only criticism is that the dirt tank is quite small and gets full really quickly so needs emptying frequently. But it’s a fault I’m happy to live with!

Dysentery were my vacuum of choice for decades then 6 yrs ago I purchased the Shark powered lift away and was delighted . Just recently I brought the shark anti wrap pet hair vacuum and I’m just blown away with how good this vacuum is . I actually feel like I’m cleaning the carpets . Just the hallway filled the canister first time Iused it .carpets look so much cleaner . Much better action going from carpets to polished floors than the original lift away .

Brilliant hoover! Bought this after reading some great reviews and after many years of having a Dyson. It is fabulous, the only reason I gave it a 4 star is because the clip that should hold the hose secure struggles to do this so when vacuuming I repeatedly have to click it back into its holder. Having said that, the suction on this beauty is superb! The best I’ve seen and can be adjusted for different carpet piles etc. Bare in mind that on full suction it can be a little harder to push around but you can reduce suction if you wish. The lift away for the stairs is easy and effective and I would recommend this over any other I have used in 40 years and it glides under my radiators instead of yanking them off the wall

    Practically sucked up the carpet!
