Yes you can get cheaper cameras, but you get what you pay for. These cameras are beautifully designed, well made and the software works. Even more important one of mine developed a fault a long time after the warranty expired. Their support team was very helpful and when they could not get it working again…they sent me a replacement free of charge. Yes they are higher cost, but in the long run they may well save you money. Highly recommended.

I bought the camera to add to my existing Hive heating setup.
Installation was probably the best, most simple affair that I’ve ever experienced setting up a camera. It really was as easy as a couple of button presses in the Hive app and there we go, beautiful clear image and zero messing around with complicated settings. Credit where its due, Hive has done a fantastic job at making the installation easy.
So the unit its-self seems very well made, it has a good weight to it and feels as though it is fairly premium in the materials of its construction. The image in day light is really good, very clear and good colour representation. Image during the evening is also reasonably clear, obviously not as sharp as in day light but very acceptable.
The responsiveness of the image in the Hive app is great, very little lag on my 26mbps broadband connection and also the sound implementation is a good bonus.
I’m very happy with the camera, have it set up as a weather cam as I live out of town and prefer the security to know that in the winter I can attempt to drive home from work (we get snowed in/out a lot up here!). The set up was absolutely not a problem or complication at all – really easy and straight forward. I may even purchase another!
Bought three of these for the house and they are performing really well. The first took a bit of faffing around to get sorted as it would connect to the WiFi (I have an internal booster system) but managed to sort it out. After that the remaining two hooked up easily. They work great, record well and great having 2-way sound (although the speaker – perhaps understandably – is not brilliant). Does what it says on the tin and so far uber/reliable.

Very handy although the USB cable is far too long and replaced by a more appropriate one. Very useful addition to the house and provides peace of mind when away.
I have the Hive thermostat and love the ability to control the heating effortlessly from my phone. I’d been hankering after this camera for a while, partly because it’s so beautiful! I was lucky to spot a 99 deal which is the cheapest I’ve ever seen it, so I went for it. The love starts when you unpack the box – as good as Apple packaging – and continues through the ease of set up. I use it to monitor my cats’ behaviour at night, so I was pleased to be able to set timer sequences. Playback is easy to access and seamless – so much better than my old Samsung SmartCam. 24 hour free recording is more than enough for me, but it’s slightly annoying that you have to pay a subscription for more. The only reason I haven’t given 5 stars all round is that one of my cats somehow manages to evade it sometimes at night, so I’m playing around with the sensitivity and sound settings. You can also focus on certain zones. It’s pretty enough to sit on the mantelpiece, which gives a great view of the living room. Overall, I’m delighted
Have linked-up several of these – throughout my home – and I’m not disappointed. I can see everything, everywhere when not at home so they offer ‘great security’ and alert me if they detect noise/movement which is unusual.

Have ours pointing onto the driveway. Constant pings throughout the day as it picks up movement. Nice to know the house is safe and know whats going on. Would highly recommend.
This camera is pretty good. The betattery life without being plugged in is very low, under 1 hour.
The picture is quite clear both in light and when it’s dark. The motion detection is very good and you can choose a direct area to monitor to avoid picking up pets or other smaller areas.
You can set up timed schedules, which is good, but not great for people who work shifts as this obviously moves across days/weeks.
Pairing with a door sensor is good so when a door opens the camera recordings, but it would be better if it were able to stop monitoring after a period of inactivity.
Aesthetically attractive, this tiny little camera is really impressive. It sends short notification videos to my phone/iPad of any sound or motion detected. Good night vision monitoring and very clear daytime pictures. My previous security camera was unreliable and often went offline which was pretty useless, also it would only work with WiFi. The only criticism is the high price, but I suppose you get what you pay for.
Brilliant addition to our ability to monitor our pet dog when we are not there and which seamlessly links in with our Hive and Alexa.
Night vision is awesome with an impressive field of view and the ability to mike in on Live View is clever. The colour rendition is pretty awesome too.
A great camera which suits our needs 100%. It also adds another dimension to our home’s CCTV system when we are away and the ability to set schedules etc is very handy.
Great quality build. Easy to set up. Great motion detection and sound quality. Easy to use app.
My only two criticisms are the notifications aren’t as instant as I would want and the ‘live view’ dropped out quite regularly and wouldn’t auto connect up again. The drop out I can forgive as maybe it’s my WiFi but the auto connect should be a standard feature.
Over the last 4 yrs I’ve used many different security / safety products including 4 different makes of cameras. This has been to wrap a technology ‘care blanket’ around a vulnerable person with failing health. As different challenges arise so solutions have been sought. CCTV has become integral to ensuring the person’s safety and wellbeing. Hive is one of several solutions but by far the best. Product quality is very high and it delivers. The only one tiny criticism is that you need a Hive subscription via British Gas who hold the data on their ‘cloud’. I’m not at all a fan of subscription based services as it takes away independence and your reliant on Big Brother.
That said this camera as another of my Hive add-ons is very good. Set up is easy, picture quality both light and dark is high and appearance is nice. As part of the overall Hive set up it offers flexibility as you can customise it to deliver notifications or to interact with other Hive products such as motion sensors or light bulbs. Overall Hive itself is definitely a market leader in so called Smart Home technology and I do recommend i
Although it’s for inside monitoring I’ve positioned mine inside looking out through a landing window. It works really well. Enhanced night vision switched on seems a worse image than not switched on?
Makes a superb baby monitor!!! Baby cameras are a stupid price for what they are and low quality, so I purchased a second one to use as a baby monitor. Later I will use it in the house. We use a baby sound a movement system as well (FYI) when baby cries we just look at phone hive. It’s perfect and won’t have to sell it on eBay after baby is grown up.
Camera is super quality and as long as you have a WiFi extender or router close by all is good.
The camera is very useful, you can use it for surveillance, check up on your pets or check in on your property whilst away. Set up is pretty straight forward and even easier if you have the Hive system already. Simply use the app to connect the camera to the hub, follow the on screen instructions and you’re away in no time. You use the app to control the camera and set up your routines and automations.
The camera has sound and motion sensors. The camera can distinguish between pets and humans, this is very handy for those who have pets and don’t want the sensors being continuously triggered by their cats or dogs. You can set it so you get notifications on your phone (or even smart watch) via the app and also by email. The app’s notification is more instant and the email notification less so.
The best thing about this camera is that you can use the camera with other Hive products like door sensor, lights, smart plug etc. You can use them together for integrated functionality eg If the camera captures a motion or spots an intruder you automate it so it turns on the lights. Unlike some of it competitors the Hive View comes with free access to your recordings for 24 hours, meaning you have access to any recordings captured by the camera for 24 hours, if this isn’t enough you can pay 5 a month for 30 day access.
The camera itself is really good, it’s well designed, it’s sleek and stylish with a nice black and brushed copper finish. It looks inconspicuous placed in the background and the only thing that gives it away is the infrared light. It has good features like night vision, wide angle view, 2 way audio and good clear picture quality. However it is let down by a few things eg. The hub sometimes loses connection meaning you wont receive notifications from the camera. The camera can be used without being mounted or plugged in, but the battery will only last an hour. The camera is also very pricey, almost like you’re being punished for buying into the Hive system. At the time of writing this there is no google or Alexa support only IFTTT.
If you’re in need of a smart security camera and you already have the Hive system then you should give this a go, other wise there are other options out there with similar features that are much cheaper. Hope this helps.
Stylish cameras with good picture quality and easy to set up. We are using the camera to monitor an elderly relative using live mode. Have not used the motion detection yet.
Really pleased with this item. We have Facing down the garden from inside. The only problems that it can get reflections off the window so may change to the external camera at some point. Perfect for our needs and provides great price of mind over property when you are not there.

Good sturdy product, works well, easy to set up, ok picture quality. First one kept overheating & going off line so returned it with no problems & got replacement super fast. Great service. Highly recommend.
There are frequent problems connecting to this “oops something went wrong”
No good for continuous monitoring – connection drops out after a time
Microphone works well
Speaker not so good (too small)
1 day video storage is useful but it should be able to store on a local drive on a laptop or PC
I’ve been using 3 cameras for about 4 months and I am incredibly satisfied.
One inside my home:
-The build quality of the base and the camera feels super nice and blends well with my home.
-Image quality and latency is great.
-The grab and go feature is a killer, using it all the time, e.g. when cooking to get tips from parents.
2 I’ve put in my family’s business’s warehouse (AV equipement rental):
-Love the thumbnails alerts (when I get an alarm, facial recognition sends me their face so I don’t have to unlock the phone and go through the video).
-Also love that I get an alert when the internet or power goes down.
-Night vision works very well
-Scheduling is super easy
Overall I feel you get excellent value for what you pay for, would recommend.
Amazing little camera easy to set up and records a large field of view in 1080p. You can even watch the live feed. Hope it’s get update to allow use on Mac as tablet & phone are good but not very practical.
Purchased this as wanted to be able to check on house while away on holiday etc. Ok, it does not act as a deterrent but it does let you check that your house is ok and it does send you a message by email or text (your choice) if it detects any people inside the room or area covered. It also lets you use your phone or ipad to view the area being monitored at any time, night or day. Fantastic value for money and does the job of far more expensive CCTV.
Not so sue now! Left it detection switched off overnight and this morning could not get it to work. Difficult to get help, only way appears to be by LIVE CHAT. Advisor was not really able to help. It had crashed and needed to be reset. Once reset I had difficulty reconnecting Bluetooth. Hive App stopped working. In the end I uninstalled the App, switched the camera off, waited for the battery to run down then reinstalled from scratch. No works except can’t see anything in the dark!
I have two of these and feel so much safer and secure. They’re great although if you’re viewing the outdoors from inside you’ll get reflections from the window glass and no view of the outside – get the outdoors camera instead for this.

This was easy to install and set up, we use it in out kitchen to watch over our fur babies (dogs) when we go out, the audio, although not great allows us to re-assure them. Overall a really good product.
I got one of these shortly after installing the Hive thermostat and only then, when it was on offer at around the 120 mark – at 189 it is WAY overpriced. The primary use is for home monitoring whilst away and the reason I went with this one (rather than any other) was the stability and integration with the Hive ecosystem and this, I have to say, is flawless. It is super-stable and just works. It also looks great too and the image quality is first class – even when live-streaming. Compared with a similar Swann indoor wireless camera I bought a few years ago, the quality difference is night and day.
Having said this, I have just purchased an 8-channel, heat detecting, IP66 waterproof, night-vision Swann CCTV system with 1TB HDD for around the same price as just this camera alone (when on sale at full price)! This Swann system also allows for remote monitoring, playback, snapshots, event recording, etc. – just no audio. To me, this illustrates just how overpriced the Hive cameras are. Think of them as the “Apple” of the security camera world!
Please also be aware that you cannot just record what you want whenever you want on this camera (which I didn’t realise when I purchased it) – it will only record automatically when it detects either a person or a sound (or both). Having said this, it does do this really well and has only give two false alerts and recording so far in around one month of constant use. You should also know that it only retains recordings for a rolling 24 hours – if you want more than this you have to pay a subscription (around 3.99 per month) for 30 day rolling history on up to two cameras. Again, I didn’t realise this when I purchased it. Compare that with my 1TB Swann HDD on up to 8 cameras (which has enough space for around a years’ worth of event recording before it starts to overwrite) and you can see how the Hive system is not the cheapest or most cost-effective way to get into the home security monitoring game.
Would I buy another? Yes. Why? Because they look very stylish for indoor use, the picture quality is superb, they are super-stable and they integrate so well into the rest of the Hive ecosystem. I would wait until they come down in price or on offer again as any more than 100 is pretty steep in my opinion. If I wanted lots of cameras (more than two) for indoor and outdoor use with the ability to record what I want, when I want (as well as auto-detect people and vehicles) and its own built-in storage (in addition to cloud-based and remote access) then there are better, more cost effective ways of getting set up.
Excellent if you already have Hive installed! These are only indoor and two cameras was enough for me! Outdoor camera not needed! Did not sign up for monthly storage as will record any incident using another phone Half the price of a previous quote! Neat & Mobile.
eally good quality and sound, easy set-up, only thing that’s annoying is its not supported on the Mac/pc yet, only access via phone app. Bought in Black Friday for 109, but at 189 normal price, its a bit expensive.
Way to set up. Excellent images. Considering buying further items in this range as they have. Uncles that you can pay for over the year on the hive website. Got for 109 in the Black Friday sale to use as a baby monitor but it’s so much more.
I already have Hive for my heating and hot water so installation was already done, which was the main reason for buying them. I have 2 covering the front and back entrances and it’s easy to set up an action on my phone so that I can turn both on with one action when I go out and one action to turn both off. I’ve set the action so that when I go out the cameras are on, and when motion is detected three lights, 2 in one room and one upstairs (also Hive) switch on, I get a notification on my phone and can look to see who’s in my home. The night vision is good, picture quality is excellent and the wide angle lets me cover pretty well the whole room. Not only can you see and hear any intruder, you can shout at them as well!!
A little bit overpriced so I bought a nearly new one. But beware if you do buy second hand be sure you have confirmation that the camera has been unlinked from previous owners hub. Because once it’s registered with one hive hub account it won’t install on another until its been unregistered.
Amazing quality camera really pleased with my purchase. I was lucky enough to purchase in prime sale, was easy to set up and I now have peace of mind when I leave my dogs for the day. I can tune in and watch them and also know if they were barking, as camera reacts to noise as well as motion. It has a surprising field of vision, and when it is looking at the back doors can see clearly far into the garden. It’s great you can zoom in too from your smart device. It looks modern and fits in on the shelf with rest of home decor. It’s amusing watching the dogs relaxing in the house when I’m at work, I have even spoken to them via the sound option!
As an internet camera designed to be used indoors, this is a great item and works easily with the rest of the other Hive products. Easy to set up, modern looking, and a good quality image, if you’re out and about or on holiday and you want to check up on your property, then just reach for your phone, open the Hive app and pop it on and you can see what’s happening back home. There is a zoom function and you can talk to people and hear their reply through the camera.
I have a few criticisms however: firstly, it’s expensive. There are much cheaper options out there. Secondly, much is made of the ability to remove the cube shaped device from its mount and stick it in another location for a short while, but the internal battery only lasts about an hour which is of little or no use. You do also have the option however of simply removing the camera from the stand and simply placing the little cube shaped camera directly on a shelf or unit WITHOUT using the stand at all! There is a micro connector on the camera itself so you can plug it in and use it this way instead. Mine is positioned at the end of my sound bar near my TV and it’s hardly noticeable. The power supply needs to be connected on the underside but you can simply position the camera “upside down” so the power supply is now on the top, then rotate your viewings/recordings 180 degrees via the app! Very clever!
Finally, and probably the most important factor to consider, is that unless you have a pet to check up on, or feel the need to spy on the kids, generally, there’s not much point to it. I mean, you’re on holiday, you switch it on to check on your home and see an empty room. Is that it? A bit of an unnecessary impulse purchase if i’m honest, but still a stylish and reliable piece of kit.
Once set up I like being to keep an eye on my disabled wife when I have to leave the home. I like the upgrade to two way audio. I disliked the set up as my online attempt was difficult. I needed to speak to a customer service agent.
Linked to our Hive hub we have found the Hive Smart Camera to be a very useful high quality tool. We previously had another manufacturers camera being of poor quality with an unreliable live streaming app. The Hive Camera can be located anywhere throughout the house, either on its own very attractive and modern design charging base stand or on the additional magnetic base included (this can also be wall mounted). We have not yet tried the longevity of the internal rechargable battery as we leave it on mains supply charging but we beleive several hours purely on stored battery charge can be acheived. Used primarily for security reasons it also allows us to monitor our pet when away from the house. The app was a doddle to install (available for both IOS and android users) with seemless wi-fi connection. Onced installed connection to the camera via the app is easy. I might add we have additional Hive products which can also be controlled via the app such as heating and lighting. The colour picture quality is extremely good which can be set to 720p or 1080p and the field of view is effectively wider than many. Streaming has to date been very reliable either by wi-fi , 3g or 4g. I have found that the camera unit itself can become quite warm to the touch, and believe this to be within its working perameters and due to the charging process and its operational use. Users have the ability to set notifications for movement and sound detection through the app or just monitor at any time with a good connection. I can only give 4 stars due to a minor design con regarding the on-off button located on the underside of the camera itself. Being so flush to the casing it can be a bit difficult/fiddly to locate which inevitably means you are having to adjust the positioning of the camera due to moving it to get to the button. Considering the fairly high price a simple remote would have nailed this issue for us. With that being said we would recommend the initial investment as overall this is a very good home security and pet monitoring camera, and we are certainly considering additional units for other areas of the house.

The camera is great but I’ve noticed some glitchy performance since I’ve had it. I randomly get emails telling me that the camera has gone offline; mostly when I’m out of the house and really need it to be working! The person detection has also been intermittent. It worked perfectly when the camera was first installed but has since become less reliable which is a shame because switching to detect “any movement” causes lots of false positives. Not sure if it’s a firmware problem or whether the camera has degraded in some way.
If you have a Hive hub and other appliances already then this fit’s in nicely, and is very easy to setup and use via the hub. There’s the ability to change sensitivity settings as well as disarming monitoring during certain periods (eg when you’re home). Connects well when away from home, but does struggle on 3G.
Although is a quality item, dropped one star as quite expensive

Smart little camera giving 1050HD picture quality via your hive hub onto your iPhone or iPad. Recorded data stored for one day or subscription service from Hive for longer periods.
It is a lot for what it does compared to other products on the market even when in the Sales.
It kept dropping the connection when first installed, but fitting a plug in wifi booster quite close to it, seemed to solve that problem (running on android phone).
Picture quality seems pretty good even on lower settings and you can zoom in on elements of the picture. It does have a small fish eye effect lens, to allow I assume the widest possible view. Its handy because it works with all the other Hive devices (main reason I paid the premium for it) within the hub software (unlike the previous Hive camera which was a standalone device).
The Hive View comes very neatly packed where everything inside is well protected. Unlike a lot of security cameras, this one has an extremely smart look, ensuring it’s not going to be an eyesore in your house or wherever you will be placing it. I was very impressed to see that the construction is very solid and robust feeling.
This product certainly has some great advertising points from being notified to when a person is detected; being able to have get quick viewing remote access and having superior 1080p video quality, including night-vision.

Set-Up & App Experience
The instruction manual has a nice simple layout which it easy to follow the procedure to get the Hive View up and running. You will of course require an internet connection and a smart device (Android or iOS) with Bluetooth capabilities as it requires you to use the ‘Hive’ app to set-up the camera; if you do not have such device, I would advise to give this product a miss as desktop compatibility at the time of this review is nonexistent, shame.
Whilst the lack of desktop support is disappointing, I managed to get the camera fully operational within 10 minutes; this is including getting registered through vive and downloading the app to be able to activate live view.
The app gives you a variety of options to toggle through, from: video quality; image rotation; night vision; enabling/disabling audio; detection settings and how you want to be notified and schedule which times you don’t want to get notifications. I was very impressed with that is available.
Some may be disappointed to hear that the service available is restricted; basically you can only view what is happening at that point of time; however for a small fee of 4.99 a month, you can benefit from the following features:
“Rolling 30 day history for up to two cameras.”
“Video access anytime, anywhere.”
“Securely stored footage.”
“Ongoing warranty, Hive products and lots more.”
To be honest, I think the price is pretty reasonable for what you are getting; the server costs have to be paid somehow.
As for the connection; unfortunately I had some moments when I had to refresh as the footage would cut out unexpectedly, however upon refreshing, it would connect fairly quickly. I think this is due to my WiFi not being the best, so if you are planning on setting this up, do so in an area where the connection and signal is decent; if it isn’t, there are products available on the market.
Output Quality
If it’s one thing I have been remarkably impressed by, it’s the quality this camera has to offer.
Not only is there a decent field of view, the video output is very clear and crisp with the audio being just as good quality.
Night vision was also one thing that surprised me; on “Auto” by default, this camera appropriately switches to night vision mode when required and I cannot fault the quality it outputs in this mode, very impressed.
Final Thoughts
Undeniably, this camera is very well made and there are a bunch of features that make this appealing; the set-up process is almost hassle free and the quality of output is superb; however for me, the lack of desktop support is a huge disappointment which is why I can’t give it the full five stars.
1. The build quality of the camera and packaging is excellent.
2. Time from opening package to the camera being up and running fifteen minutes and I’m serious about that.
3. The picture and audio quality is excellent.
4. I’m using virginmedia super fast fibre optic broadband, 300 meg and the latest super hub router. So far I have had zero problems with the connection and I have been successfully viewing through the camera at any time from a multitude of distances sometimes well into double figure miles.
5. My house was built circa 1954 is of brick construction as are the internal walls. The floor between ground and upper floor is about eight inches and the router is positioned in my attic which is separated by another eight inches of flooring and is further buried under a desk. The reason I bring this up is to highlight the obvious signal strength of the router and the ability of the camera to pick up the signal as the camera on the ground floor is working with absolutely no problem.
6. The settings on the camera can be easily tweaked to suit our needs.
7. I’m using the camera for viewing a severely disabled member of our family and for viewing the pet dogs. The security aspect is not something that I bought the camera for.
8. One thing I have noticed is the inability for the camera to pair to two different WiFi access codes at the same time. We have had an extension added to our house. The four large steel H beams that were used during construction have made the extension like a Faraday cage and the WiFi signal can struggle to get into it. To alleviate this problem I bought a TP WiFi signal booster to use in the extension. The booster has a different access code and as yet I’m unsure how to get the camera to work between the two codes. The solution I’ve come up with is to buy another camera which is what I was going to do anyway and connect it to the other access code.
9. I had been searching for sometime for a CCTV system for some time and I really wanted a wireless system. I read the previous reviews and I admit I was slightly concerned. However I admit I’m a bit financially flush and sprung for this admittedly expensive device and I now have no regrets. It works as advertised, has the feel of real quality and I’m more than happy with my purchase.

This is a real mixed bag, in some ways it is excellent but in others frustrating. Firstly it is very expensive, you can get some very clever security cameras for a lot less and even some whole CCTV solutions with multiple cameras however the initial impressions are good. It is well packaged and supplied with a USB power adapter, a generous length USB to Micro USB (3M approx) the camera itself, basic instructions and a rather clever magnetic stand. This can be sat or fixed to a flat object with rubber feet to stop scratching, attached to a metal surface via the magnetic base, or wall-mounted. The camera attaches via a magnet and is securely located but able to move up and down as well as easily removable while the stand rotates and moves independently around its base.
All the components feel well made and solid it all together it looks very stylish for a security/monitoring camera although it is for indoors only and is not IP rated for external use. The instructions are very basic with no troubleshooting guide and just say log into Hive online, register and download the application from either the Apple store or Google Play depending on which flavour of mobile you use. Note that you need to use the app to configure or access the device as it is not supported on the website portal, also you do not need to be a Hive customer with a Hive Hub to use this device as it is independently managed from the rest of the Hive environment, more of which later. So after downloading the Hive Camera App, I tried to set it up without success on both Apple and Android devices. It was only after a number of hours messing around I realised this was for the previous Hive Camera and the Hive View Smart Camera is driven off the separate main Hive app. This is not made clear in the instructions, the app itself or on the Q&As and I cannot believe I will be alone in making this error.
Once set up the camera began to shine with very good image quality at 720p or 1080p, a wide field of view and a very sensitive microphone. This can be useful as the camera could pick up someone breaking glass for example and it even picked up the hum of our Fridge/Freezer although the sensitivity can be adjusted or turned off. At night, the camera’s infrared turns on with the footage was of good quality capturing enough detail to see someones face for example. You can easily able to pull the camera off its stand and place it where you want to monitor a different part of your house or if you want to monitor something remotely. There is a built-in battery that lasts about an hour or you can charge the camera via its own micro-USB port, you even receive an email when the battery is running low which is a nice feature.
However the more I used the app the more I got frustrated by its limitations. There is currently no integration with other Hive devices or with any third party applications such as IFTTT so it cannot be used to turn on smart lights automatically for example and there is no Alexa integration either. Notifications are pushed to your smartphone and you can also choose to send them via email but if you want them via SMS you need to sign up for Hive Live, which costs 2.99 a month. Hive View comes with 24-hour cloud recording included and you can upgrade to 30-days of storage for 4.99 a month. The camera uploads footage to the cloud only when an event has been triggered but when it is there you can only view it. There is no way to download the video I can find, which will be key in the event of a break-in although I suppose you can take screenshots off your phone. This along with a couple of random crashes and disconnections as well as constantly having to enable video after making changes made it far more frustrating than it should have been.
Overall this feels like a work in progress. The hardware itself while very expensive does seem to be very good quality but the application and integration are lacking which spoils the experience and usability. With this improved along with a way to access and download captured video, this camera will start to justify its price.
Edit: The application now seems much more stable and they have added a zoom feature which is a big improvement. There are now some basic actions that can be triggered by the camera such as boosting heating or turning on a fan or light. This is dependant on having Hive compatible devices but this makes the camera much more useful in a Hive ecosystem. It is still expensive and I can not see a simple way to access the video captured but with the latest developments, it makes much more sense now.
Someone could pull the camera off the stand very easily as it is only held by a magnet!?
bought to add to my Hive Home Guard system. Works great, cheapest price I could find plus Prime protected. all good
Yes you can get cheaper cameras, but you get what you pay for.

Excellent camera easy setup as long as you have hive hub plus smartphone with hive app
Like it, I have ring cameras which are also very good, but this is bette
Have linked-up several of these – throughout my home – and I’m not disappointed. I can see everything, everywhere when not at home so they offer ‘great security’ and alert me if they detect noise/movement which is unusual.

Really good , not good to look through windows at nigh
Great piece of tech. Off the back of this one I now have 3 throughout the house and a suite of Hive gadgets! So easy to use
Not the best CAMERA very expensive for what you getting
Have ours pointing onto the driveway. Constant pings throughout the day as it picks up movement. Nice to know the house is safe and know whats going on. Would highly recommend.
Exactly what I want it for.
Day time security with fast notification.
Brilliant product so easy to set up with no maintenance required.
It only took a few minutes to set these up and using them is easy. It simply does everything it says it does…and it does them well.
Keeps an eye on the whole room from the corner. Use a headset to talk through it gets it louder.
Overall – I highly recommend.
All works ok, don’t use the night vision if you have security lights or if the camera is filming through a window but good little camera.
Clear images always available! Does what it says on the ti

It’s a great camera but i feel it is way over priced, in-fact twice the price of other cameras out there
A very good product that gives you peace of mind
There are frequent problems connecting to this “oops something went wrong”
No good for continuous monitoring – connection drops out after a time
Microphone works well
Speaker not so good (too small)
1 day video storage is useful but it should be able to store on a local drive on a laptop or PC
Easy to set up. Good quality picture. View on my iphone, ipad, etc. View inside the room from holiday abroad.
Used as security camera while out
And to check on dog
Great item for indoor security good picture on smartphone easy to install
Good field of view, great quality both build and picture.
Fantastic camera HD quality is impressive
24hrs free cloud recording makes it a top pick

This is used to cover rear patio door of my house from inside. Good picture and features and looks nice.
Totally satisfied with this camera infact better than I expected
This was easy to install and set up, we use it in out kitchen to watch over our fur babies (dogs) when we go out, the audio, although not great allows us to re-assure them. Overall a really good product.
Liking it not impressed that I can’t record to my computer though
Really easy to set up – love the alert system and playback mode.
eally good quality and sound, easy set-up, only thing that’s annoying is its not supported on the Mac/pc yet, only access via phone app.
Terrific product. Certainly there are cheaper options, but this camera works superbly well. Set up is a breeze.
You get what you pay for!
Excellent price for a quality camera. Easy to set up. Handy to watch the dog when away from home!! Very pleased!
Nice toy to have , love the two way conversation can’t wait to get hold the outside one
Easy to install, good picture and sound. Lots of options for notifications and playback etc. Does everything i expected.
Works well so far, nice looking item. Good picture, and able to zoom in. Works on noise detection too.
First camera did not work properly. Replacement ideal worked straight away
A little bit overpriced so I bought a nearly new one. But beware if you do buy second hand be sure you have confirmation that the camera has been unlinked from previous owners hub. Because once it’s registered with one hive hub account it won’t install on another until its been unregistered.
Very easy to use and change the settings real good night camera.
Really pleased with this camera..easy to set up and gives peace of mind when you are not at home
Good quality, easy to set up with high picture definition. Works well with iPhone, not so good with iPad due to the small picture size.
Does exactly what it said it would, although, these days, slightly expensive compared to similar quality products
Great camera. Very easy set up. Easy to move around. Picture quality is fantastic and the app integration is also very good.

Given as a gift and very much appreciated. Was easy to set up and is very useful.
very pleased with this product – easy to set up and the quality of the video content is excelle

Amazing change me world. I can now keep an eye on my house. Simple to use. Small and can be mounted on the wall. Picture is clear. Fantastic.
Easy to set up only downside is you can’t talk through i
Smart little camera giving 1050HD picture quality via your hive hub onto your iPhone or iPad.
Introduction

I have no real purpose for this other than looking in my empty office when out but works grea
