The car is easy to put together and nice fun.
It runs very well on most surfaces it has been tried on.
Control is good, reasonably easy to master with a little patience.
You can run it with the body on or off, but the body gives a protection to the innards.
The range of the controls so far I’ve experienced is good, I’ve had the car more the 50m away from me on a flat field.
The battery I would have liked to last a bit longer, I’m getting around 15-18 mins of whizzing around, but this maybe dependant on the surface I’m running on.
You do get 2 batteries to use, so that helps.
Ideally 3 batteries would be better, that way you can always have one on charge.
It is fast, so getting to grips with the controller is a good idea before being adventurous with where you run the car.
Controller takes 3 AA batterie’s, they do seem to last a bit, depending on amount of use.
My nephew enjoys playing with it and has better control than me, and getting it back off him is a difficulty.
The picture of the colours compared to the item is a bit flamboyant, but it does not distract from the fun of using the car.

    Brilliant fu

This is so fast. Like really fast. It is great and would make a perfect gift.
The car is easy to charge with 2 batteries so you always have one spare. Charging doesn’t take long at all and once charged it lasts a long time.
Only problem I found with this is the reverse doesn’t always work. Hence why I have given this 4 stars.

Given to my grandson who is just at the age where something like this appeals but isn’t quite at the stage of needing or wanting super expensive remote control cars. It’s basically just a moderately priced bit of fun.

First off is that it’s well made. I’m always staggered at just how much engineering is available today at moderate pricing and this is one of those things. Independent suspension, four wheeled drive and a robust chassis. If I had this as a child I really would have thought I’d gone to heaven.

The controller is the relatively common one packaged with toys it seems where you have a ‘wheel’ to steer the car and a trigger to make it go. There is variable speed and steering so it does allow a fair amount of control of where the car goes to be honest.

On the controller you can also set the trim for the steering and also the steering input magnification which reduces the total angle of wheel movement. This is needed when at full speed because any large inputs will have the car heading off in a random direction at some considerable speed.

Speaking of speed… Yep, this really is bloody fast. There are two settings so you can start off with the slower one to get to grips with the car before you switch to full power mode. And when you do, you have better have plenty of room because this car does really motor. If it hit you, you would know it for sure. It also means if used somewhere where you can hit something solid you had better be careful or it will all end in tears.

Naturally my seven year old grandson took about five milliseconds to learn the basics and after a minute or so was doing donuts with this. Boy was he chuffed.

Battery life is remarkably good as well. Even better you get a spare battery as well so realistically you should get at least half an hours play with this. Probably more as it won’t be speeding around at full tilt at all times.

Overall, a great kids toy if you have some outside space to use it.

Woo speed car but only for outdoor. Great Look and performs really nice with a functional remote control. My teenage nephews had lots of fun and excitement with it. Looks durable with nice finishing all around and not so noisy.

My husband’s excitement with this kit has surprised me. Also the amount of time he is prepared to invest in playing with it or as he likes to phrase it @putting it thourgh its paces”

We took this off to the big hospital car park near us as he wanted to ‘make sure I give the kids the best advice and know how everything works’. He was absolutely right. This took off so fast. We discovered there was a switch you can use to help slow it down for younger kids.

Well, at full pelt, up and down the car park, across gravelly bits and then onto some scrub land (short grass) this did really well. It is very stable. We think it is because of the wide squidgy wheels.

It is amazingly fast which means if you haven’t worked out the steering you go wrong really fast. We live on a quiet road and were racing up and down the pavement once we had the steering sussed. Frightened a few dogs. We found the battery, on a warmish day’ lasted about 50 minutes.

The instructions were easy to understand.

For maximum fun with this you need to find someone else with one. That way you can have some amazing races.

It is incredibly responsive to the controls.

In terms of negatives. You need someone to race against and or buy two cars.

It’s an expensive piece of kit – you really would expect they would provide batteries for the remote.

Wow – This little beauty is unbelievably fast and looks like the dogs doodads! Word of caution though – don’t play with it indoors.

This remote control car is pretty awesome and both looks and performs amazing well. It’s nicely packaged and when unboxing it almost feels like a bit of an occasion. The smile that played on my lips when setting up and charging was simply dwarfed by the unsurpassable grin that plastered my face and stretched from ear to ear when I played with this for the first time. Let me explain why.

First of all this RC car is equipped with a powerful brushless motor which has a much higher power and lower noise than a brushed one. Anyone who has ever had a brushed motor previously will know that they can get pretty noisy. Additionally brushless motors will generally last 2-3 times longer than those of brushed one, and the energy usage is only around a 1/3 of that of a brushed motor. It makes sense that if you want extended long term battery life and short term immediate performance results for your investment then this is a better option to consider when making a purchase. You can get around 40 minutes of continuous use out of this before needing to recharge the internal batteries. Recharging only takes approximately 1 hour to go full empty to full too which, given the blazing speeds this thing can hit is actually pretty impressive.

Now I already mentioned this thing is fast but it caught me by surprise as it’s blisteringly so. I do have to admit it was a bit of a steep learning curve to get the hang of controlling this beast, but this particular model is really built for one thing and one thing only – speed. It has a manufacturer quoted maximum speed of 62km/h. I have no way of knowing if it will actually hit this or not but it certainly must come close. This thing practically takes off when fully charged and slammed into gear. In fact it pulls wheelies on launch due to the power the brushless motor puts out. To help you out when first learning to control the car it actually has two speed modes to choose from. Both can be accessed by simply flipping a switch located on the handheld controller. You can select either full speed (recommended for advanced enthusiasts and those who have experience with similar toys) and a more tame, half speed option (recommended for beginners and those still new to their car). In each option, the speed of the remote control car is determined by how hard you press the throttle button. Pull it gently and the car will travel forwards or backwards relatively slowly. Pull it full on and the car launches itself off. Even in half speed mode it’s still surprisingly quick.

The car is listed as four wheel drive and All-Terrain Driving however it’s worth noting only the front wheels control direction. It has four independent shock absorbers which do help with its off-road control, stability and performance, as well as protect your car when it takes a tumble. It breezes easily over various smooth and rough terrains including dirt, grass, light mud and shallow water such as small puddles. It has four super chunky and fat tyres which provide plenty of grip (largely helped by oodles of power) and it can take some serious punishment – especially with my apparently awful driving.

The car overall seems very well put together. It’s incredibly durable and tough with the outer skins being made of a pretty sturdy ABS material. You actually receive two of these external and protective shells, albeit one of them is clear and without either design or colour. They do a reasonably good job of protecting the internal mechanisms and components from damage, but quite how long they will last given the speeds this thing hits is anyone’s guess. Expect some serous damage to your car if your were to hit a tree or brick wall at full power. Also, I would advise making sure their are no small children about when using this. If it hits you when flying around it will definitely hurt. I accidentally took it into my own ankles when bringing it back one day and
forgetting to stop which genuinely caused me to scream like a little girl and fall to the floor clutching my ankle doing my best impression of a premier league footballer taking a dive.

Lastly it’s worth mentioning the control unit. It requires 3 AA batteries to operate. This is the only thing not supplied within the box so you will need to source them elsewhere. It has multiple steering adjustment buttons on the top of the controller which allow you to precisely adjust the direction of the car according to your needs. Think of it a bit like adjusting the tracking on you own full sized car. If you find it drifting a little to one side you can make minor adjustments to compensate. It’s a useful feature and may come in handy after you crash this into a few trees or large obstacles at high speeds.

All in all it’s a really great RC car. It’s certainly not for the kids, or for those feint of heart, or those without common sense either come to think of it. You need nerves of steel to operate this beast, especially when driving flat out and at full speed. You also need lighting reflexes too – lol. I don’t really have any complaints or issues as such. I do wish the car shells were a little stronger as I can see them getting seriously damaged after a while and I don’t personally like the clear one. It’s supposed to be like that to allow you to customise your own design but I would have preferred a second pre-coloured skin as I am definitely no Picasso and my truck would end up looking like more of failed Jackson Pollock. I am pleased to say though that all else is really rather good though. It’s rock solid in construction and provides an immense amount of fun and satisfaction for your money. Nothing to dislike about this at all. A truly great product at a great price. I would be more than happy to recommend this to anyone. Brilliant!

Achingly fast four wheeled fun. Watch out for that tree!

This Remote Control Car is surprisingly speedy, the remote control itself has one button for accelerating and reversing, and it’s quite lightweight, so it will zoom off in an instance if you’re not careful! I originally tried it indoors, and it flipped itself over in an instance (luckily no injuries).

When the item is received, the instructions tell you to remove the casing and connect the batteries to the motor to allow it to start. This was all easy enough, however I found the casing was fitted together quite awkwardly with only 4 small pins holding it down. It was quite hard to put together, and they kept coming off every now and then. The box also includes extra pins and an extra clear case.

I’m not a massive fan of the design when it comes to the controller, the tyre is quite a creative design but isn’t the most comfortable way to turn. Overall, this RC car is a fun ‘toy’ to play with! It’s quite expensive, especially if it’s for a child, but the speed does make it stand out to other cheaper options.

Ok so this car is incredibly powerful and I wouldn’t recommend giving this to a child unattended ! It’s so fast and is brilliant at off road. The battery runs out pretty quick but I think that’s due to the power. But for 30 mins of fun up on Dartmoor this is perfect. Would highly recommend.

This car is absolutely amazing and perfect for any kids/adults that enjoy RCs. The speed of this car is on another level! It’s so fast! Because of the speed it does an amazing job of going over tougher terrain and long grass. It’s awesome! It takes about an hour or so to charge and you get about 45 mins of play time. I would advice though that this car should probably be played with outside, its far too fast for indoor use!

First up this is extremely fast and very powerful. So this in Not to be used indoors.

Thre are two batteries which need to be charged for about an hour. You get about 30-40 minutes super charged fun out of that in a car that performs tricks and spins at great speed.

The remote needs regular batteries which you will have to buy and it is very quick to get the hang of.

There are other – far less expensive – cars like this on the market but the difference here is how well made this is and let’s be honest – how fantastic this looks.

So If you have the cash to splash, both kids and adults are bound to love this!

All ages will have fun with this remote control monster truck – this takes me back to my childhood, playing with things like Scalextric.

It comes with a monster truck/car, controller, transparent car shell, manual, and then in the bag, you get x2 batteries, USB charger and a double battery connector. It has a 1:16 scale and a max speed of 62km/h. A downside is the max playtime you get is about 40 minutes with 2 batteries and it takes an hour to charge.

It’s currently on offer for 115.99 (full price 125.99), do I think it’s worth that? Not really, but I know this would give kids and adults hours of fun.

    Fun for all ages

So to start off this was actually a lot of fun to race around, it did feel quite fast but whether it was 62km/h fast i couldn’t quite say although when the batteries was freshly charged it wanted to pop wheelies at every moment so there’s definitely some power/torque in it.
It comes with two usb chargers one for each of the batteries, they took around a hour to fully charge, however you will need 2x usb plugs if you don’t already have them.
There’s a red LED to show when the charger has power, it flashes green while charging & goes solid green when fully charged.
This goes for any RC’s in general but just be careful when charging RC batteries to keep them in sight just to play safe & never leave on charge over night ect.
I took it to the field near me & although i did stop a few times when people brought their dogs in for a walk it still lasted a good 45m-1h of actual running time not including the stops with the 2x battery configuration which i thought was really impressive.
I did try to put it through its paces & took it up some dirt tracks that was pretty steep which it actually handled it all really well & that was even after being raced around for 30miniutes prior to that point so kept its power right up till the end although just before it was fully flat it was noticeably slower.
On the remote there is a high/low switch so if your letting your kids play with it they can have it on the lower setting to get used to it at the start, plus that should also extend the running time a little.
There’s also a steering trim dial so if it stops driving straight you can get the steering tweaked to go straight again by adjusting it left or right to suit
I was getting pretty good range with it however i only tested the range when i was on my way back 5mins before it fully ran flat but it still got around 100m range which i thought was really good however that may be further when its fully charged.
I love the fact there’s a second shell of course its good to have a spare if the first one gets damaged but more so because it lets you or your kid custom design the look of it to suit their tastes, if you do decide paint the second shell i’d suggest painting the insides as it protects the paint from scratches abit more.
The second shell is a copy of a Ford F150 or Raptor.
Overall i thought this was a pretty cool learner RC Car however there was a couple tiny things stopping it from a 5star rating.
The controller felt very light, although it wasn’t as bad with the batteries fitted.
It doesn’t come with batteries for the controller so you will need to get 3x AA as they are “NOT INCLUDED”
If you don’t already have any USB charger plugs at home you will need two for the usb chargers to plug into.
For this RRP i would expect it to come with everything needed to be honest.
That being said though it was a lot of fun & pretty fast so as a learner RC it definitely gets a thumbs up from me!

A lot of fun, felt pretty fast & sturdy. great learner RC
