1 BY ONE High Fidelity Belt Drive Bluetooth Turntable with Built-in Speakers, Vinyl Record Player with Magnetic Cartridge, Wireless Playback and Aux-in Functionality, Auto Off

Questions & Answers
Q1: Powered it on after I pressed and held the button for 3 seconds, however it didn’t rotate. Any suggestions?
A: Please kindly note the first step to turn on the turntable is pressing and holding the START button, and then you should press the START button only once to get the turntable to spin.
Q2: Can I connect this to a Bluetooth speaker?
A: No, it only comes with Bluetooth connection input functionality, which means you can connect it with your smart phones or tablets instead of Bluetooth speakers.
Q3: Tonearm shaking too much, making records unplayable.
A: It’s recommended to re-adjust the tonearm and make sure it is neutrally balanced before the counterweight tracking force is set up.
Q4: Does the arm automatically go onto the record by itself to play and vise versa?
A: The turntable is not automatic, so you should manually put the tonearm onto the record. But the turntable will automatically stop 3 minutes after the record ends.

The sound quality is fantastic, and it’s great to be able to play some old records again that have been stored away for over 20 years. Who would have thought?
My earlier review did not address the Bluetooth functionality since I have no bluetooth equipment–this was a gift for my son. I needed to cut down the plinth to fit (sideways) in the turntable drawer in a 1950s Hifi cabinet. Moving the plastic chassis forward 7/8″ allowed cutting front and back edges to achieve 12-7/8″ depth. My son had just one false start with Bluetooth set up. A 90-degree dongle for the power connection helped with drawer clearance. Attaching the anti-skate weight might challenge a beginner.
Easy set up, solid parts, great sound, vintage looks, all in one, bargain.
Love i
It is my very first record player. I’m a 80s kid grew up listening to my parents play records but never owned a player myself. I’m a die hard music lover so this was a great gift to myself!! The video is not even at full volume maybe at 1/4. It is so rich in tone and absolutely beautiful!!! Was hard to put together as someone who has never owned one. Accidentally pulled the needle off and the weight took awhile to figure out. Otherwise it is an incredible record player.
Turntable arrived super fast and was easy to set up after watching their YouTube tutorial. The turntable is absolutely beautiful and feels so expensive and timeless. My dust cover arrived with a scratch and the customer service team immediately sent me a new one.
Get this turntable, you won’t regret it!!
UPDATE: If I could give this product ten stars, I would!!! Amazing turntable and the company even sent me a record cleaning kit. Like, who on earth goes to these lengths for customers? No one except these guys. BUY FROM THEM.
It’s a awesome little record player easy to use and sounds grea
Looks good, sounds great. Loud even at low volume. Easy to work but I thought the quick start guide was a bit confusing! All in all very happy with this purchase
I specifically was looking for a decent looking record player with built-in speaker. This unit looks great and it works fine but the audio quality is quite poor out of the built-in speaker.
Bought this to replace a 30 one from Argos (Bush) and honestly this one makes the cheap one sound like a joke.
This is a record player made from high quality materials that looks amazing in my living room. Assembly was pretty easy, getting the rubber band over the turning mechanism took a couple of goes but nothing strenuous. The instructions perhaps could have been clearer (there are no words, only pictures) but I got it up and running within 10minutes.
The sound is simply brilliant. For built in speakers it easily fills a room without a loss of quality, I was blown away the first time I turned it on.
For testings sake I used the bluetooth feature and paired my phone. It worked as you would expect but I don’t think I’d use the feature very often.
Overall 5/5 would not hesitate to recommend. Great product 🙂
If you’re looking to get into playing vinyl and have limited space or do not want to go with individual components, this is an excellent solution. Much better for your records than the cheaper, suitcase types that are one step above a toy. The weighted tonearm allows some control over proper weight on the stylus. Played a few records to test quickly before wrapping up as a gift. Sound quality is decent for this setup.
If you are beginners, I recommend it for you. It doesn’t need additional sound bar. Pretty easy to set up. In my opinion, it seems to be the best if your begets is around 150 dollars.
Bought this as a second record player after my old Pioneer finally died. The bluetooth connectivity works well, I’ve paired it with a set of speakers and I didn’t have much issue getting the two to work together.
As far as the turntable itself it’s a great value and I’d honestly rate it higher than some of the Audiotechnica entry level models which are in the same price range. Its a beautiful piece with the wood and the piano style finish on it; Some people have mentioned that it isn’t automatic but it wasn’t a huge deal to me as my old Pioneer wasn’t automatic either.
If you’re completely new to vinyl it might be a bit tricky to setup the table out of the box, the tonearm needs to be balanced and the tracking weight dialed in for the cartridge along with setting the anti skate weight up correctly. I’m familiar with doing most of this so it wasn’t too big of a deal for me. I will say the quick start setup guide was pretty well illustrated so it should be pretty easy to setup if you follow the instructions.
Needed a new table, but on a fixed income, money was an object. I valued connectivity and this one has that. I also am hands on with my records and not enthralled with a fully automatic system. I especially love the Bluetooth capacity. After a quick, easy setup, I fired up a pair of Denon Envaya 150 portable speakers. But the first record wasn’t a Mobile Fidelity pressing, but a friend’s copy of a 1973 Sopwith Camel album that had been played a lot. A lot. The sound was excellent. Then I played my Mobile Fidelity pressing of Magical Mystery Tour. Even better. I have since purchased an Edifier bookshelf system which should be delivered later today. I am very happy with the purchase.
For the price, you get a fairly high-quality tone-arm and needle cartridge, with a gorgeous faux walnut design. Sound is amazing for the price. Just overall wonderful beautiful design and sound.
I will mention I had to return the first one. Right speaker was buzzing and had a horrible wobbly tonearm that made the sound noticeably jittery. The second one we got has THE SAME WOBBLY sound and tone arm and was about to return the second one. HOWEVER, after maybe 5 hours of playtime from alter start of a record to the finish, it magically went away, which was a great relief. I would say pay attention to the potential predisposition to the wobbly flaw, but try using it extensively for a week to see if it will “fix itself” and “break in” like mine did. Now it works flawlessly, sounds and looks amazing. We are very happy with this mid-tier record player.
I’ve been around turntables every since I was a kid and finally decided to splurge on my own… This modern update was perfect for my needs because I don’t have much space for a full-fledged sound system. The built in speakers are surprisingly impressive and deliver great sound whether I was playing records that are brand new or vintage (I borrowed a bunch of my dad’s old LPs from the 70s-80s and they sounded just as good as my new ones). The Bluetooth is a nice option, but really, that was not on the list of must-haves when I was considering this. The red/white aux out connection is a nice touch though as one day I might invest in a separate monitor speaker to go with it or find a connector so I can connect my nice wired Sennheiser headphones, so that’s definitely a plus. Overall I’m very pleased. If you’re looking for something compact with the potential to be expanded with the aux out connection, this is a very solid choice.
I tried to purchase a few cheaper record players which also had great reviews but they were garbage for different reasons. This product really looks, and sounds great. I’m extremely pleased with it and wish I would have just pair the extra $100 in the first place. There is a little assembly but its pretty easy. The only thing for be was the counter weight, being my first record player I’m still not 100% on setting up the counter weight and wish the directions for that were slightly better, however that being said I haven’t ruined any records yet lol. I would recommend this product.
Besoin de pratique pour le regler mais apres ca parfai
Now for the rest of it.
* It looks nice and seems stable and sturdy
* The belt has to be right at the lowest edge of the platter or it slips off when you start it up (unless you pre-spin the platter).
* The audio I’m capturing via USB sounds good (to me at least – my hearing’s not great though so I’m not the best judge here) and I haven’t had any skating issues.
* The bluetooth connectivity works when connected, but I have to manually re-pair with my headphones when I turn it on. Haven’t tested with other BT devices yet, but it’s not a promising start.
* There’s no auto-stop when it reaches the end of an album, the needle just sits there. I knew this going in and didn’t think it would be a big deal for me, but it’s a little concerning if I forget, but see the next item!
* There’s an auto-power-off that might make up for the lack of auto-stop. I haven’t timed how long it takes to kick in, so it’s really just a fail safe, but it’s nice to have. The negative is, you must switch it off/on again in the back to get it to start again
I don’t have enough turntable experience to compare, but I’m reasonably happy with this for my use.
This turntable looks very authentically retro, had nice loud clear sound and is built very well. We love it!
This is a nice little all-in-one unit, both for the looks, performance, and price, and it made a great gift for alt/vintage exploring teen child. She’s not all into audio, so a sprawling component system wasn’t attractive, whereas the 1 By One’s additional Bluetooth speaker functionality added the versatility to easily switch input sources when she’s having get togethers with friends.
Sound quality is pretty good; obviously bass is lacking, but it’s fairly round sound and plays at good volume level for a space like a bedroom. It’s definitely not going to fill a living room space full of people with accurate sound, but for more intimate listening, it’s nice, similar to an Ikea/Sonos Symfonic speaker, if you’re familiar with those. Audio outputs make it expandable, though, so you can easily get more sonic punch by adding, for example, a pair of powered stereo bookshelf speakers.
Between the speaker expandability and the replaceable cartridge, I figured this record player could grow with my child’s interests if they go that way, but if the thing gets left behind in three years when she’s off to college, it looks good enough that I’ll find a space for it in our living room and probably find a few cool records to go with it for myself!
Looks great with my repurposed Magnavox Astrosonic. Nice mid-century design elements. Very nice that it uses the Audio Technics cartridge – these are excellent, inexpensive and easy to find. Sound quality is actually quite good for the size and integrated speakers. Gets quite loud before distorting. I have three issues with the unit – 1. Auto-off function cannot be turned off. If you pause music and don’t come back to it after 10 minutes the unit powers off. 2. Aux source must be unplugged for the record player to function. This is bizarre and cumbersome for someone that may use the Aux input. 3. Dust cover cannot be closed when an LP is being played because of the counterbalance weight hitting the lid. Poor design choice. Otherwise great stuff.
When you dust off an old album collection and need a turntable to listen to 40-yr old records, this product fits the bill nicely. I was not looking for a state-of-the-art turntable, but a nice all-in-one to play a few albums. Nice build quality.
Great product. Good sound quality for the nature of the system. The Technica stylus makes this a great entry-level turntable.
Fonctionne super bienmais j’ai limt qu’elle tourne peu tre un peu plus vite que 33. 1/2. La musique semble plus acclre que d habitude 🙂 mais sinon bon son 🙂
Choosing this unknown mfg. was a shot in the dark. My son had a very limited budget and I searched for a unit that frankly would be more multi-purpose than higher quality, but this filled the bill and more. The quality, bluetooth and usb functionality is very good. Surprisingly so. It’s a great table for a a young person wanting to get into analog but still needs to stay connected to the wireless world. Perfect solution. We paired the table with a pair of Fluance Ai41’s (great sound and streaming capability), and he couldn’t be happier.
This thing is great, the only complaint I have is that the built in speaker isn’t the best and gets a bit fuzzy in bassier sections but sounds awesome other than that!!
You do have to set up the plate and such, and as well as the balance weight. Very easy as long as you watch the video explaining how to do it!

his turntable is pure quality. it is solid and heavy and gorgeous. the stylus is diamond and is by audio technica. the sound is perfect when you play it into a high power amp. the bluetooth is easy to pair also. i cant believe how good vinyl sounds! this is a very high quality turntable!
I love this turntable. Feels of good quality and build. Sound is AMAZING ! Now let’s take it I’m a novice but come on you can not go wrong on this thing I have it paired with some edifies Bluetooth bookshelf speakers I m 60 years old and have grown up with record players, turntables and stereos all my life and I will put this sound up with anything out there I can also Bluetooth to headphones or since they start not far to my speaker by the pool don’t buy one of the cheap Crosley models or such yes they have their market but for the most bang for the buck this time s it!
LOVE IT – first time turntable owner but lifetime audio enthusiast. It’s easy for a first-timer to assemble, it’s a beautiful piece of equipment and the sound quality is great. I bought some records from an auction house a while back hoping my husband would catch a hint. Anyway, it played records like Billy Joel’s “Songs in the Attic” gorgeously as well as some more recent purchases from Amazon like Garth Brooks Legacy/Original Analog album “The Chase” and Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black” – so very happy with i
his player is great , just wondering why the arm doesnt retrieve when the record id done , is there something i need to do , thanks
my son started collecting albums recently, so we needed a record player. the first one we bought was one of the nicer suitcase style record players. it was awful. the sound from the built in speakers sounded like they were set in tin cans, also, every one of the albums,(all brand new never played),kept skipping. junk! refunded it in 15 minutes.
this record player, completely different experience. exceptional sound, zero skipping, smooth action, very nice product! if I needed two record players, I would’ve happily bought a second one.
So when I unboxed my new 1byone turntable I was amazed at how beautiful and classy it looked . It looks like I should have payed triple for it ! The wood is gorgeous like a beautiful piano finish and the brushed aluminum look controls just amazing . A little bit of a pain to set up the tone arm as I never did that before but well worth it and sounds great playing through my tube amp , I may buy another one for my summer home I love it !
This player has a full turntable which is great for my records that aren’t perfectly straight. The belt was very easy to install, but I will say the counterweight was a little confusing at first.
There are many other cheap records players that claim to have good sound and build quality, do yourself a favor and start with THIS one if you want a true good quality all-in-one, and less of a headache.
I took 1 star off because I expected it to have an auto stop feature. The speakers are very clear and loud so it’s easy to listen from another room and not be able to manually stop the record when it’s finished
This product was a gift for my 14 year old daughter, and it has been amazing! The sound quality is remarkably better than the Victorola or Crosley record players, #junk and the ability to connect a cellular device has been perfect for my daughter!
Easy setup, beautiful cabinet, great sound with little to no adjustment. Well worth the money in my opinion. I have played my music on a Gerard zero 100 turntable for 50 years. It’s still great, but I wanted a stand-alone Bluetooth player for private listening. This is just what the Dr ordered.
Beyond happy with this unit. I love that it looks like something I picked up in a department store in the ’70s. The setup was simple and straight forward and it has a great sound a low price. If you are looking for an affordable stand-alone with a really good sound and retro feel this is definitely a contender. Bluetooth connectivity, auxiliary input, and RCA output are a bonus as well.
i love my turntable, it’s easy to assemble if you like to read instructions. they’re straight to the point and easy to follow. i would recommend this to newbie turnable users.
Let me start by saying I am no audiophile… I’m a casual vinyl listener and upgraded my starter audio-technica to this turntable and its been a great purchase so far. I was a little apprehensive to set this up myself since my last turntable was pre-assembled, but the instructions were very clear and it took a few minutes, but was a breeze!
I’ve paired with Edifier R1700BT speakers and the Bluetooth connection was very simple and quick. No issues connecting at all. The first record I tested it on was a Tool picture disc that was impossible to play on my last player and there were no issues with tracking or skipping and the sound was great! So excited to actually be able to play my record!
Also, it’s pretty. 🙂
I am overjoyed that I found this turntable. I have a ton of old 45rpm records and 33rpm records that I have not heard in years. I am now enjoying all of the music in my collection….not only that but i am able to create cd’s of my favorite “old school” tunes to enjoy in my car. I get to listen to EXACTLY what I want, not what radio stations or streaming services offer. In addition to all of that I can connect my bluetooth speakers to it….Easy to follow setup instructions. Need I Say More? A+ Best turntable on the market!
After playing CD’s in the 80’s & 90’s, followed by SiriusXM in the car last 20 years, I decided to get back to my rock n’ roll roots and start playing my vinyl records that I’ve been collecting since I was a teenager.
This 1ByOne turntable with the built in speakers is absolutely one of the best investments I’ve made, and the sound quality/volume is just perfect for my mancave/music room.
It only took a few minutes to unpack and setup before playing my original ‘Meet The Beatles’ album that my Mom bought for me in 1964.
Very nice and stylish turntable with very descent sound quality. Installation was very easy and straight forward. My only gripe will be quick installation guide missing some explanation. I had to check guide book to see how to turn start and stop turntable with switch. I think manual has better explanation that easily accessible quick guide book. But, building quality and overall very good purchase.
I bought this for my college student daughter. I liked the all-in-one record player plus Bluetooth connectivity. A good fit for a dorm room. The sound is surprisingly full for its size. Decent bass and good overall reproduction. No, it’s not audiophile quality, but for the price, it’s really good. Simple controls that are easy to use. A good start for getting my daughter into vinyl.
I have gone through two record players before this one. The first one we only spent $59 on and the sound was terrible (distortion on “s” sounds, etc.) So, I bumped up to a $95 record player, but it wouldn’t spin, so I didn’t get a chance to test it out. It also didn’t have a dust cover, so, I ordered this one, and finally we have a winner!
I would like to comment on a couple reviews that I read about this player. First, you actually can play the record with the lid down. I have to leave the lid up for the first song, but I can put it down after that.
Also, people commented on the setup being difficult. Really? I followed the instructions and it took me all of 10 minutes, …and I was eating crackers at the same time. Don’t be intimidated, it’s very simple to set up.
I cant speak yet to longevity, but this is a great record player. The Audio Technica needle probably makes a big difference in sound. I am not an audiophile, but I am 53yo musician and not a novice user. Yes, it’s been a while since my last turntable, but I know how a record player should sound. I think a lot of people who review the cheap record players and say the sound is good, or “has a great retro sound” probably think it should sound like a victrola and don’t realize how good the quality actually can be from a vinyl record. An analog vinyl record is actually better than a CD ( go ahead and google it- sampling rate).
I definitely recommend this record player.
Beautiful player, good sound quality, but speed dial is inaccurate. 33 RPM is actually an unknown faster speed. I know this because the same vinyl I used plays at the correct speed on a friend’s turntable.
Un aparato de calidad, con un diseo atractivo y a buen precio
So far I am very happy with the record player. It was a little intimidating getting started with setting it up but turned out to be easier than I thought and everything works great. The speaker sounds really well and the volume is able to get super loud. The first vinyl I used on it was pretty warped and the player was still able to play it smoothly.
I just received this as an anniversary gift, and I”m truly blown away at how cool it is. It was packaged very safely for shipping, and everything seemed to be in perfect condition. Putting it together was relatively easy. It’s been a LONG time since I’ve had to work with carts and counter-balance weights. The quick-start guide was ONLY pictures, so I had to go to the more detailed instructions to understand how to set up the counter-weight properly, but otherwise, it was pretty straight forward. The sound quality is surprisingly good. It’s fairly rich, and although there are no controls for treble/bass or even a simple EQ, it’s good for what it is. I’ve only played a few LPs on it so far and haven’t tried the Bluetooth functionality, so I can’t comment on that yet. The build feels good. The look is classy. Color me impressed. I might look for an amp now, just to get that full control over the sound, but I’m very happy with this gift.
Great product and very easy to set up.
The sound quality is fantastic.
Very easy for my older father to use.
I LOVE IT! The sound quality is excellent. I actually ordered a cheaper/inferior option before this and immediately sent it back because of the sound. The sound on this is everything I had hoped for. Also, customer service answered my call and promptly addressed my concerns. (I wasn’t smart enough to turn it on .) It really is easy to use, I just missed a step. I’m not sure about portability… it’s not huge, but I wouldn’t want to pack it up for a road trip.
Really good for what it is, audio not high quality but good enough for small room or office. I would say not suitable for an audiophile but average listener. Had some issues with belt and speed of turntable deck but figured out that belt needs to be exactly centered on the deck as per the instructions or it will come off the guide spindle and slow the speed and sound.
It sounds amazing and is beautiful! I googled and read tons of reviews before deciding on this one. The sound is awesome and it’s a beautiful record player. I wanted one with a built in speaker so I could easily travel with it. The sound quality is better than expected and the look is just want I wanted. You will not regret purchasing it. I was quite shocked at how amazing it sounds. It was easy to assemble. So excited about my purchase!! Can’t wait to show it off to friends!!
I’ve purchased another record player from them before, and I was super impressed with it, so I am a returning customer. When I saw they had this model, I wanted to get it as well, so I can have another more compact record player in my bedroom.
But let’s jump to the part people are more likely to read. I also invite you to check my video as well for a more detailed review.
GOOD:
+ Unit and material look feel great & aesthetically pleasing.
+ Vintage mixed with modern look.
+ Two speakers included inside the device (on the front).
+ Speakers are stereo!
+ Lightweight portable design, so this unit can be easily moved if needed.
+ Amazing sound quality coming out from those small integrated speakers.
+ Sound do not saturate and speaker do not over vibrate at full volume.
+ Unit has a suspension system that absorb the vibrations from the speakers. As a result, the playback will stay stable, even while the speakers are playing loudly.
+ Can play 33rpm or 45rpm records.
+ Has Bluetooth functionality that let you play music from your phone/tablet through the turntable’s speakers.
+ Pro looking adjustable counterweight system, that not only makes that arm looks nice, but also let you fine tune the way the needle run on your disk.
+ Has “R” & “L” RCA preamp outputs to connect the unit to external amplifier if needed.
+ Aux-In 3.5mm jack input to connect devices that don’t have Bluetooth to this record player.
+ GREAT support from manufacturer.
NOT SO GOOD:
– Lot of part made of plastic. Some metal parts, especially in the arm-locking system would have looked & felt better.
In conclusion, it’s an great unit, and I have the feeling that if this company continue to make such awesome equipment, this will not be the last time I am buying something from them.
We like the finish, very clean lines. We were surprised that the arm doesn’t automatically move over to the record when the turntable starts or return to its holder when it stops. You have to do this manually. Other than that we really like it.
PROS: Magnetic Cartridge and a nice stylus. Belt drive! Option to connect to external speakers.
CONS: Speakers are 3/10 at best.
Awesome record player. Just a reminder to new buyers, long press on button to power on and short press to start it spinning. Also the line out / phono out rca is a little quirky. Takes time for your amp or av receiver to recognize the signal to play out, at least on mine it takes a little while for sound to come out when connected to an external amp/ receiver.
Setting up the turntable was very easy to set up, great for a beginner. The sound quality was better than I expected, I am very happy with it. The look of the turntable is also very nice too, this was a great purchase.
An absolutely beautiful all-in-one unit! It has a solid AT magnetic cartridge and counterweight. This alone makes it so much better than the majority of all-in-one record players in this price range. Sound quality is solid. The customer service from 1byone is incredible. I got a unit with defective Bluetooth and I was able to explain my issues and get a replacement unit in less than 2 weeks!
Great record player for the price. If you want a higher end record player you will need to pay over $500. If you want an all in one player this does the trick. Very good sound. Set up was easy with one caveat. When you turn the power on with a long hold of the start button it turns red but the turntable does not start. Don’t send it back. Hit the start button again quickly and it will start turning. I figure this is so you can play your Bluetooth without the turntable spinning continuously. Very happy with the purchase so far.
I’ll be completely honest by stating that I’m a little new to vinyl. Personally speaking, vinyl records are great in terms of being a tactile process you can be involved in, but the reason everyone uses digital formats of music is obvious: it’s easier, cheaper, and takes up no physical room. In that mindset this is a great record player. Maybe it’s not the best player on the market in terms of sound quality to vinyl experts, but for people who just like to play vinyl a few times a week or month this is a fantastic player! Plus, it’s easily the best looking record player available, so you get both form and function that any entry level vinyl enthusiast would enjoy.
I’m newer to the vinyl world and my first turntable was just some cheapo suitcase one, but since my record collection is growing I figured it was time to upgrade my setup. I wanted to find something within budget, had good sound quality, built-in speakers, and was aesthetically pleasing. This turntable is a great bang for your buck!! I love the walnut finish and vintage look it has. I only really have my old one to compare to, but the sound difference is like night & day! Some of my albums that were skipping before no longer do so with this one. You barely even need to turn it up with the built-in speakers. Even at about 30%, the volume level is plenty enough to fill my apartment. It did take me a minute to figure out how to start it up. The instructions tell you to hold down start to turn it on, but you need hit it again to start/stop the belt moving.
I’ve been listening to my records all day and so far I’m VERY pleased.
Let me start out by saying that the GOOD things outweigh the bad. The bad (so far) had nothing to do with the actual turntable. Everything is working GREAT – will follow up after a few different plays –
The Bad –
Hey the instruction booklet is VERY easy to understand. Great pictures, great text. The problem is – when setting the counter weight. On the instructions it says once arm is balanced, set to Zero then turn 1.75 times. That would mean that you would actually set it to .75 after your 1st rotation. However – the picture has the dial on 150. The video say’s the same thing – yet – not set to 1.75
The very bad
I called the 909 number, the woman that answered…well, maybe she just had an off day. When I asked her about the counter weight she said I set it between 1.25 and 1.50 based on what the manufacturer says. I said that this does not match the instructions – her reply (she got upset) sir, I have no control over the instructions and what they say.
I simply hung up.
We’ll see how it plays and follow up.
Few quick things – the on/off button’s function is a little unconventional and I wonder if that’s what has caused reviews about the turntable not turning on? You have to hold down the on/off button for several seconds to boot up the machine. A red LED lights up meaning it’s on. Then you have to tap the on/off button once to start the record spinning. You can tap it again to pause it. To turn the machine off, you have to again hold down the on/off button for several seconds until the red light goes out. Little weird, but not a big deal.
Also, we had to fuss with the arms counterweight quite a bit at first until it was balanced properly to avoid skipping. It seems very sensitive and we still mess with it occasionally. But it’s nice to have the control of an adjustable arm weight.
The set up instructions are a little vague and lacking description, so put aside 10 minutes to figure it out. Some other reviewers on here offer good tips about it.
Sound is great and loud, you can connect any Bluetooth device on it if you want to listen to your cellphone for exemple. Vinyl doesnt jump, there is a weight balance on it.
I’ve had this record player for about a month now and it’s pretty good! Good sound and look. This is my first record player so setting it up kind of sucked especially balancing the arm of the record player. I had to watch multiple YouTube videos to fully understand how to do it. One worry I have is the button that turns on the record player and spins the platter seems like it has potential to get stuck! It happened to me once already. To fix it I unplugged the player and it came unstuck. Hoping this won’t be a problem the longer I have the record player. Other than that all is good!
I’ve had this for about 2 weeks now and it has been really great! The sound is really good for the price. I’ve done reach on these record players with the built in speakers and this was the best “cheaper” option to get before investing in a top top quality one. This is well worth the money.
It comes with a fast paced (only pictures) direction handbook but I would skip that and go to the handbook with the actual written directions to set it up properly. It took me almost 15 minutes to set it up so not long at all! I love how simple looking it is. I love that it comes with a little piece just for 45s too!
If anything changes, I will update my pos
Overall, I really like this record player. I was looking for a good quality sounding Bluetooth player that also looked nice and this hit the mark. Set up was extremely easy, and overall the product seems to be of high quality. I have had it for over a month and the everything, including the Bluetooth connection, have worked very well. I have the player connected with one speaker so I’m not sure how it would work with more. also, it would have been nice if the the arm automatically retracted when the record was done but I knew that was not part of the product when I bought it. The controls are very simple, which works for me, as there is only an on off switch, a play stop dial, and a speed dial for two different sized records. Finally, the price is definitely on the high end but I think it’s worth it.
I bought this so that I could transfer to USB and then to CD. I was able to do all that however now it’s on CD and on my iTunes music the recordings only come out of the left speaker so sound quality isn’t great. The record player itself works great and the volume from the speakers is adequate in an average sized room. Great price if you want to pull out some old LPs or buy some new vinyl but don’t want to spend a fortune. It looks nice too. I’m happy with my purchase thank you
First off, this is a SWEET looking player. I’ve gotten so many compliments on this as it’s unconventional looking. Even the record pad has a great “1” design to it. There was about 10min of set up and I took my time. I’m a beginner user but one thing I wanted was an audiotechnica stylus. These are top of the line. One thing I wish it had was a panel for selecting Bluetooth. You can flip on Bluetooth but not choose what it connects to. I have to ensure that any other Bluetooth speakers in the area are turned off so it’ll connect properly to my Vizio 5.1 sound system. Other than being patient with Bluetooth this thing bumps. Hugh recommend for people getting into vinyl, or looking to spice things up with a beautiful piece.
For the price, quality is great. The counterbalance is a must have, just missing an adjustable anti-skate to allow diversity in cartridge. It did come broken, the end capsule to the motor that spins the record was popped off, allowing motor and spindle to come apart. Ended up reassembling and taping off with electrical tape.
Update 1/28/21: Customer service went above and beyond. They immediately reached out to me on their own will and sent me a replacement unit quickly at no cost. The replacement unit works like a gem. Highly recommend. Also I have another model/unit from this company which has the anti-skate function and its still working wonderfully.
This is a great mid-level turntable. It’s missing some of the high-end stuff to look for from a true vinyl purist’s perspective, but in my opinion it doesn’t need those. PROS:
*It’s gorgeous. Love the mahogany look and the contrasting controls. It’s a really cool looking piece, and we love coming into the living room and seeing it there.
*Beautiful sound quality. The Audio Technica Stylus is a plus, a good trusted name, and delivers rich sound.
*It has a quality feel. The tonal arm could be made of cheap plastic, but it is not. Feels like brushed aluminum. No part of this feels cheap, not even the simple acrylic dust cover. Even though they are just two-position switches for ON/OFF and 45/33 RPM, the two simple control knobs there have a quality satisfying feel in their operation. Even the lift arm releases the tonal arm with a dampened drop, so that when you flip the lever down, the needle lands on the track with a perfect touch every time. (Of course you can use your finger to lift it, but that’s a bad habit)
*Simple Operation. It doesn’t feature much, not fully automatic, clearly labeled, so there’s really nothing to be confused about. Perfect for my wife, who loves its uncluttered simplicity.
*Bluetooth connectivity. It has RCA jacks for speaker wires, and a grounding post for direct grounding (to eliminate electrical noise inherent to wires). Although I know true pure vinyl sound can only really come from true wired speakers, I love the ability to simply connect to my soundbar wirelessly. I’m not a vinyl purist. To my ear, every vinyl imperfection comes through just fine.
*Price. Given what you get, I’d say it’s very reasonable.
CONS:
*Not fully automatic. That’s not a feature here, so don’t expect the arm to retract and reset itself at the end of a side. I like the simplicity though, so this con actually doesn’t bother me.
-When I was a kid, a fully automatic turntable was where it’s at. There were higher end models that automatically started and stopped, self adjusted RPM with a laser sensor, sensed floor vibration and lifted the tonal arm, even automatically skipped track/found next song at the push of a a button.
*The dampened arm glitch: I notice when the tonal arm is close to the center of the disc, and you lower the lift arm, the tonal arm likes to slip outward as it lowers. This is important when you are trying to set it right at the start of song on an inside track. It shouldn’t do that. Might be an adjustment to make. I don’t know yet.
So far that’s it! The Pros outweigh the Cons! If it suits your style taste, skip cheap entry-level models and BUY THIS ONE. You won’t be disappointed.
I bought this turntable for my 17yr old daughter who has gotten into vinyl. I picked this one for several reasons. First, she wanted a ‘real’ turntable, not some faux-retro reproduction. I liked the fact that it had a real cartridge, and looked like a metal tonearm. The connectivity options were what really sold me though: You can connect this to an regular old ‘phono input’ (amplifier with a built in RIAA phono pre-amplifier), line in, bluetooth, and USB. So I figured this will work well for her with a cheapo amplifier for now, and then a bluetooth speaker when she goes to college, and then a real amplifier when she has her own place. Finally, whenever she realizes that vinyl is a PITA, she can connect to her computer and convert all her records to digital. Plus it looks really nice.
All this for just $169.
But when she opened the box on Christmas day, and we set it up, I was really impressed with the quality of the components as well; the cartridge, the tonearm (even has an anti-skating counter-weight), the controls, the case.
In short, both my daughter and I are delighted with it. It is hard to imagine a better turntable at such a great price.
Great sound once you get setup properly. Instructions for setting up were not the best. If you have not setup this kind of weight counter balance please player before it is not for the novice. Took me a good 2 hours to get it setup properly, and I have been using this style of player for 30+ years. Now having said that, the sound produced by the player is great. Smooth and consistent turntable speed. Would recommend if you are getting into lap player get someone to help you set this up and get a platter weight ( center weight) for great sound. Look good also. Plent if room in cover to leave the platter weight on and play lo with cover closed.
Upgraded to this from one of those suitcase-type record players — just set it up (the graphic-only directions could use some descriptive text, but not a bad experience at all.
Very pleased with the sound. Great volume, tone & clarity so far (have played a 45rpm & a couple of 33rpms — would have liked the 72rpm option for the few of those I have).
All in all I’m very pleased with this product, so far.
One thing I ran into was the belt was slipping when I first set it up. If you remove the belt, take a little undiluted dish soap and wipe it along both sides of the belt, then gently dry it off with a paper towel, the belt works perfect!
The quick guide suggests putting the dust cover on first
The detailed instructions suggest putting the dust cover on last
Verdict: Last is better as its easier to install the anti-skate weight without the dust cover installed
Other than that I’ve played a few LPs and they sound great
Take care that the belt is seated properly in order to get the correct delivered RPM
The TT is very quiet and it looks fantastic
I’ve only used RCA cable with Line Out so far as that was my main interes
But she bit the dust. The cartridge and stylus weren’t even broken in entirely. The right channel was going in and out and the RCA ports were shot.
While I was happy with it when I had it working properly, I had a friend get an audio technica that really impressed me. Upon looking on amazon I stumbled across 1byone. I was Skeptical because they make very bottom of the barrel players like Crosley does. I didn’t want to order something and be disappointed.
But boy I’m glad I did order this
This player is fairly light. Has 3 feet and the capability to transmit the audio from the player to Bluetooth speaker or headphones. I also was skeptical of that.
Holy crap was I impressed.
The player delivers clean and punchy bass with a very nice high range and a subtle mid range.
Set up. Took a quick second and I was on my way
The only downside is my anti skating weight it comes with a thin fishing line type of string to tether it to the post behind the tone arm. There is a looped pre set for you to be able to wrap it around the post and anchor it.
Mine broke super easily. Which kinda burnt my toast because it wouldn’t have help up very long being handled.
A little maneuvering and I was able to secure it.
At the price point it checks all the boxes.
I highly suggest it if you’re in the market for a new deck
You know a while back I found a huge box of records in my mom’s house so we purchased a record player on Amazon but unfortunately the sound quality was just not the way I remember it from way back when..
I looked around for a while spoke with a couple friends that had record players and apparently it’s very hard to find a good one.
I want to let you know I purchase this one it was a bit expensive but it was worth every single penny, the sound quality is incomparable, and the general overall quality of the piece it’s just great!!
This is a great buy!
Was super excited, the description says it pair to Bluetooth speakers nothing else needed. Well, it’s paired but no sound from the speakers. (No I don’t have other Bluetooth devices turned on)
So I called up costumer service and they said it’s a new turntable and they don’t know how it’s supposed to work. (After telling me it doesn’t pair, then when I read the manual saying it does, they told me to turn it off and on again, which by the way people, if there is anyone in the world who would call customer service before rebooting, I just don’t know what to say)
So I bought new speakers and it pares fine, also to my raecons, do t know why not to my JBL. Customer service needs to do better. Otherwise I would give it 5 stars.
You can also upgrade the cartridge. I bought a Nagaoka MP-110 cartridge and it sounds so much better!! But fair warning, it took me hours to get the alignment just right. Becareful when doing it because you CAN mess it up. The wires on the back were super difficult to remove so caution when removing them.
Note that you are paying for a basic record turntable and not the speaker quality. It sounds like a portable radio with little base but there is an easy to use audio-out connection for external speakers but base quality is still limited
I would really recommend this little gem.. if you want a quality turntable and USB recording feature at a great price, this is it!!
Great value record player, I’ve only just set it up after receiving it for Christmas. Yes, the built in speakers sound a bit tinny but they’re ok. One thing I was a bit disappointed with is there is no headphone socket to listen without disturbing others. Of course, you can attach external speakers for better quality listening and if you have the right connector you could connect headphones via the RCA sockets but it would have been nice for a headphone jack socket to be incorporated in the housing. It is still early days in my use of the item but it seems like a good quality product. I haven’t used the USB facility for recording or playback yet so I can’t comment on its functionality. Recommended.
I bought this basic player after clearing out my loft and discovering a forgotten treasure trove of records up there. It was either throw them out or start playing them again. Two days after ordering, the record player had arrived and we were listening to records many of which had not been played for over fifty years. I go along with all the positives of other reviewers, finding it just right for the purpose we intended. The styling makes it easy on the eye, and means that it sits quite happily on view making it more likely to be used. Remembering record players of old, we had expected there to be an element of treble and base adjustment but this is not a major problem in our case. With many of the mono records played so far the tone has been true to the original and the slight bias towards treble on one or two of the others has not detracted from the enjoyment. I have to say though that it has only been tried out on pop records so far, and we have yet to listen to the classical selection. But as mentioned earlier, records which have been languishing for years are now being brought back to life – and at a very reasonable cost.
This is a great little product on it’s own. Ok you can buy the high end market but at this price for quality and sound when plugged into your amp is brilliant. Like other people have said and it says this in the manual, dont put this into your existing Phono outputs as this unit has pre-amps so it will hum if you do, plug it into the Aux socket but not to worry if you dont have a spare output in the back of your amp because you can buy a splitter connector for 1.50 (i bought two L/R) and you can plug this into your existing cd/tape acting as an Aux so you have two units going through one and it works fine, but most modern amps have countless inputs and outputs anyway (I’m a bit retro with my set up) and the sound from this is brilliant, plenty of depth where bass and treble are concerned.
