I’ve bought this before, my last one kept going through the winter, even on the bleakest of days. It still works 2 years later, but not so efficiently, we decided that it had been so constant that we must have worn it out. I am hoping this updated version is just as good.

Alto smaller than I thought it was going to be but for 20 it does a great job at just moving some water around a bit and giving some ‘tinkling’ noises in a small water feature

    1) well built seems sturdy
    2) good length of cable
    3) battery capacity is inadequate
    4) early mornings and cloudy days it’s intermittent
    5) if you disconnect the cable and allow the battery to charge and connect the cable then it runs smoothly problem occurs when the battery is drained over night and then it takes time to charge and discharge at the same time possibly a bigger solar plate can fix that.

wasn’t sure on a solar water pump but this item was much better than i expected . As soon as i got it out the box the pump started, i had to turn the panel over to stop it. Put in in my water feature and before i’d set the panel where i wanted it , the water was running , very impressed as it’s only a small pump, the solar panel is a good size.

I have a half barrel pond that I was previously using a solar power bank and usb pump to keep the water moving. I have tried several other solar pumps but always had the same problem – no power on slightly cloudy days. I have no outdoor power so was just resigned to charging the bank indoors every few days.

I saw this pump on two Youtube videos from fellow DIYers and thought I’d give it a go. I’m so glad I did because it works a dream. It was grey and raining today but set it up nonetheless. I put the pump in the water and it worked instantly!

I highly recommend this to anyone.

We only put the fountain in pond yesterday and it worked straight away even though it was a bit overcast.
It was very easy to install and there are different types of fountain tops/heads to choose from in the packet. I chose the one with the most holes in it and it seems fine. We found that the fountain floated about a bit too much…..which we didn’t want…..because if it floats to the side, it will drain the water out the pond!!!
So we secured some strong wire around a rock and hooked the other end around the top of the fountain……and now the fountain stays put in the centre of the pond!!!! The fountain seems a good quality and so does the solar panel. The price was also very competitive. It was delivered quite quickly.

I wanted this for a deep birdbath I have; I had to play around with all the different fountain options until I found one that kept the water in the bath.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI purchased this to aid sprucing up my garden. It’s currently placed in an large, old, bird bath. The parts were easy to put together to select the style of water feature you’d like. Once placed, the water started flowing straight away. The solar panel has a long lead so doesn’t necessary have to be right next to the feature which I like.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersArrived on a wet rainy day, the video is taken on the day it arrived when in the afternoon there was a glimmer of sunshine. Tried all the nozzles, happy with the one I’ve chosen but they are all good. It aerates the water by keeping the water moving. When the sun goes behind a cloud it obviously slows. The clear tube is a good length and the black wire that goes to the solar panel is v long so you have a good choice of where you situate the panel, mine is currently resting against decorative rocks. The foam circle floats and isn’t moving about, it’s stayed pretty central (although theres no breeze today). I have put the clear tube loosely under a couple of rocks in the pond for anchorage. I am a newbie to ponds so only have a few plants so far. I do recommend this 9w pump.

My husband put this together and installed in our little water feature and we are very pleased with how it operates so far. Does work in partial cloud but obviously works much better in full sun.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWorks well but adapted the solar panel so could mount it on a post and swivel it to catch the sun. This meant drilling two holes in the sides and using bolts and wing nuts to hold it on a batten if wood.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersWhen it works it’s good. Battery power doesn’t seem to last long (1 -2 hours) and I’m surprised how much sunshine it actually needs to work. On a day of full sunshine I cast a shadow on it and it stopped instantly. On the same day I turned the panel 90 to the sun and it stopped.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersI was a bit hesitant about buying a solar powered pump/fountain as had one several years ago and it was rubbish, however this one works excellently in full sun and even when gloomy you still get an intermittent burst.

The only issue I have with it is that there’s no spike to stick it in the ground so you just have to prop it up against something, this is a bit of a pain as I can’t get full sun all the time so constantly moving it around.

This was way too powerful for what Ii needed. Suitable you a large pond. Foxes found the cable over night and chewed it into 18 pieces. Haven’t bothered to repai

Easy to set up & you can control the little motor so it doesn’t burn out. Also you are able to clean the pump.
