Bought this to replace a hard drive that had failed was easy to connect to my existing wired cameras. The set was quick and simple. App on phone gives direct link to hard drive can play back, motion detect notifications etc. really impressed so far.
Easy to setup although we require to view and review footage through a pc and had to email the company to find out what software to use so to save a headache for everyone else the software is VMS you can download it from learncctv.com setup is really easy
I’ve only just started using this product and so far it has been excellent. My only issue, and this may well be that I haven’t set it up properly, is that there is no motion detect bar on playback. But, nevertheless I am very happy with this purchase.
Had Annke cttv before worked ok but this one is far better picture quality and options are great much easier to use than others
The hand controller was very small and the Menu control not extensive enough .. no motion detection grid for example !!
Easy to connect to cameras and TV system. Also the app works OK on a smartphone although the app is for many different systems so some functions don’t work. Night vision depends on the cameras and I have a mix of brands, so this is variable. Picture quality in daylight is good but same applies to camera quality. Had to return first unit as it went faulty after only a couple of days.
Surely the dimensions are in inches and not centimetres as on your page

This unit was bought to replace an almost identical unit that was just badged differently. That one lasted us over 5 years before developing an intermittent fault on booting-up after being powered down. It was just a case of removing the original machine and replacing it with this one, connecting up the power, cameras, monitor, mouse, networking cable, going through the registration process and it was up and working. The app is really useful and gives the CCTV system an added dimension by being able to be monitored remotely on and off the premises. If it lasts 5 years like the old one it will be really good value!
I purchased this 2 years ago to replace an inferior CCTV Recorder.
I usually view on my phone via the App, but now would like to view on my laptop. I emailed deatti direct for instructions. They replied within minutes with instructions, and after downloading a program I’m happily up and running via laptop too. The customer service is 10/10, and the system works great.
I bought this item in august 2019 and today I have come home yet again to the screen saying format has finished I click ok and next day it’s back on the screen any ideas ???? Other than this error very good system
Order this to replace a broken unit from my original system. Good clear HD images in daylight and acceptable night images via infra red. App works well for remote Web access and to view images from past and present. After 2 years had an issue with the power supply plug. See Picture. Seller responded quick and sent a replacement for next day. Recommend this product and seller.
One thing I think customers should be aware of,is that this will only work with routers working of 2.4ghz. Now,most routers are switchable between 5ghz and 2.4ghz,but you will need to go into your router settings to switch 5ghz off…and leave 2.4ghz on. If your not sure how to safely change your router settings,then Google is the safest bet…Once you’ve connected via 2.4ghz,you can safely go back into your router settings and switch 5ghz back on again..Overall,great for the price,Xmeye is easy to install,so would def recommend if your confident enough about diving deep into your router settings….
Bought this unit and after a few weeks operation had a little problem. Following updates, changes to settings and new software, everything seemed to work. Then total failure, wouldn’t record. The unit was changed with no hassle. Efficient and painless service. Thanks to Deatti for all their help.
we were operating on a very old cctv recorder. this one is so much better with a lot clearer vision.
This is a great value product! I bought this as a replacement for my previous box and it work a treat. Very good quality and great value for money. The android app works fine on mobile phone. The support email gives you the latest program to use on PC. Very helpful.
Having been using this product for 18 months without an issue, unfortunately something happened and it stopped working. I contracted customer service and they sent out a new power supply that resolved the problem. It’s a welcome surprise when you get such rapid response for something you bought nearly two years ago. Would highly recommend this DVR manufacturer.
I really like this DVR Recorder it’s fantastic the best DVR I’ve had and couldn’t be any happier and anything you want to ask they are very happy to help through their email or phone number that’s provided in there manual book. The levels of sensitivity is amazing and recording mode covers everything so you won’t miss a thing, picture quality is excellent, anyone thinking of getting one you won’t be disappointed.

Couldn’t quite figure it out at first as I’m not very good with electronics however the customer service was brilliant and I was up and running within 10 minutes
This was bought to replace a 5 yr old DVR. The old unit took hours to work out all of the parameters to get it to talk to the router and stream to XMeye.
This unit was almost plug and play – very easy to set up, very easy to interface to the router and stream to the t’internet with nice crisp video and easy to use interface.

I bought this for personal CCTV at home to put with Yale cameras. It works perfectly. The system menus etc could be more updated but otherwise perfect. Very straightforward setup. Finding the serial number for the mobile camera features was confusing since the one supplied on the box wasn’t the actual one. Had to go into settings to retrieve the actual serial number. No biggie. Just misleading. Overall good box. Does exactly what it needs too. Would have been perfect if was WiFi enabled instead of the Ethernet cable.

I purchased this DVR to replace a previous lesser DVR as part of an upgrading of an existing CCTV security system, but am absolutely amazed at the extent to which this DVR has brought my existing cameras to life, with clearer daytime coverage, and with low-light clear colour or infrared at night where there was previously very little coverage.
The DVR is supplied with a User Manual, in which the seller also supplied a PDF version after purchase. The User Manual gives full details of all the on-screen menus and options available but unfortunately does not provide details of the way in which these options are to be put to best use, thereby leaving the user to discover for themselves, albeit that adverse reviews would suggest that this can sometimes lead to unfortunate outcome.
This DVR is however suitable for first-time DVR users in that when a CCTV camera is plugged in the DVR automatically sets up the camera into use, in which the user can then operate the DVR on its default settings without the necessity to customise, or for selective customisation at a later date, with default options available on all features as a safeguard.
In that I have quite specific security requirements, I have for the past two weeks been putting this DVR through all of its features, albeit for use as a standalone DVR therefore not linked for Smartphone use.
All in all therefore this CCTV DVR provides excellent quality in all that is needed and is therefore to be thoroughly recommended and well worth trying.
For starters therefore:
The DVR uses a CR2032 button battery for time/date stamping which is preinstalled but will need to be replaced occasionally.
The DVR camera connections require BNC cable with metal locking connectors — BNC plastic connectors will need BNC locking adaptors — the cable with locking connectors proving to be the better option.
The AV and audio out connectors also require BNC locking connectors — these can be used to output via a scaling converter as in BNC to SCART or other such converter for output to older televisions or in making use of other types of unused TV connections — in which the picture quality is as good as that via HDMI. An HDMI scaling converter could be used for the same purpose.
As with all DVR’s, in connecting the CCTV cameras the wires should lie alongside each other, not tangled, and not crossing over each other. The mouse cable and DVR power cable should not be near or touching the camera cables.
To date I have not encountered any restrictions in the use of the camera connections. It is always better to let the DVR install the cameras and set itself up, and then only adjust what you need to adjust.
A case therefore of connect the cameras, connect the mouse, plug the DVR in, open the Wizard , create your login password , set the time zone, select the way you want the date to display, close the wizard, and then enjoy.
Right click to display the mini menu, at the bottom select from the camera display options — or left double-click on a camera image to view one camera — the mouse scroll wheel will also scroll from one single on screen camera to the next.
With one camera on screen, holding the mouse left button down, pull out a small rectangle in the shape of your screen, left-click inside the rectangle to zoom without a zoom camera, left double-click to return to normal display.
To adjust the colour or clarity on a camera, or improve older cameras, select the camera, right-click for the mini menu, select colour setting, adjust the contrast and saturation, and during night-time darkness.
To set up recording – from the mini menu select main menu and then select Record.
This allows the user to set all the cameras to record all the time, or individual cameras to record at scheduled times — I set All to record at all times but only by way of motion detection, therefore unchecking the Regular box.
To set up motion detection – from the mini menu select main menu and then select Alarm.
If All is selected to set all the channels at once, when one detects motion all the channels will record – therefore for each individual channel for motion detection separately select the channel number and check the enable box to turn the motion detection on.
The pre and post record options add a little recording time either side of the actual, I have the Record pre-record set at 30secs and the motion detection post-record set at 120secs.
The scheduled recordings perform well and the motion detection is well-responsive on Middle sensitivity albeit adjustable.
Main Menu > Record > Playback allows the playback of all recorded material channel by channel by selection, or by continuous run-through, with pause, stop, fast or slow forward and back, or frame by frame, in fairly standard format therefore, albeit not quite as featured as on my previous DVR.
Main Menu > Record > Backup allows the backing up of recorded material onto a flash drive or other external storage facility.
Main Menu > Record > Backup > Detect will detect the plugged in storage device if not displayed.
Main Menu > Record > Backup > Backup
Clear any existing listed files from previous back-ups by clicking the Remove button.
Select the channel – right-click on each date and time number to set the period — click the Add button — do the same again to add other recorded files to the list – select the back-up format and click Start.
Whilst this will readily backup files in MP4 or H264/5 each requiring specific players, when it came to backing up in the more widely used AVI format, the DVR proved to be temperamental until I did battle to get the better of it. Once achieved the quality of the backup is good.
These the essentials – other features being a matter of choice.
I ordered this for my son, to replace a broken DVR (another make). He said its much better than the one he replaced and the night pictures are clearer too. Picture quality really good

Have had this DVR since May 2020 with no problems at all until it suddenly stopped.

Lisa at Deatti then arranged to send a replacement direct from China.

Use this product for site security. It gives easy remote access and recording. The motion detection allows for longer recording cycles on the available hard disk space. I am very happy with it after one week.

Hardware is pretty much of a muchness these days so what really sets something like this apart is it’s ease of use and reliability. The reliability remains to be seen but ease of setting up has been awesome. Literally plug it in follow the on screen prompts, sit back and enjoy. Very impressive.
I use the big old Samsung HD-SDI DVR SRD-480D, with the big thick coaxial cable, with its crystal clear image just like watching a high definition TV with its full-size circuit board and a built-in cooling fan so I have been spoilt. ( I purchased it off of Amazon a long time ago ). it is big and old so I wanted a new one thinking newer would be better.
The “Deatti 5-in-1 DVR” is small the circuit board is smaller than the hard drive. I have lots of CCTV cameras it recognised almost all of them apart from my Samsung SRD-480D cameras. The Deatti DVR is virtually plug and play easy to set up.
An example of the image you would see I took a photograph of the tiny remote control compared to my one and slightly adjusted focus to give you an idea of the image it sees. I have loads of CCTV cameras from different camera makers and all of them had a delay if you waved your hand back and forwards.
For the money it is good enough quality it is typical of shop CCTV images. My 11 year old Samsung HD-SDI DVR SRD-480D is still king. I will keep this Deatti DVR, for a backup. I work and live in a nasty area.

Bought only the DVR as a replacement for our school’s old system (which was fried by a power surge). Plugged it in, attached the existing cameras, and it was up and running in less than 10 minutes. The setup wizard made it easy. Opted to get more details on the email alert setup, which they supplied promptly. The documentation was clear. I would rate this product as an excellent value given its cost.

I bought this product as a replacement for a DVR that had died. It was very simple to set up, the only thing that I found I had to do was set up the remote viewing app manually as the QR reader did not open the app, this was a simple task and minutes after opening the box, everything was working! Many thanks for a reasonably priced DVR with built in memory.
The item was dispatched quickly and arrived quickly as well. Was easy to set up with an easy user interface. You also get great customer service and support with this brand. Would highly recommend for shop CCTV or even just for home use.
I have not set the Motion detection area yet but at default settings it runs constantly because of a bush moving in the wind.
To view the cameras on a PC a download is available. Returned my request the next day.
After 6 months, the device stopped working. I could neither find instructions to troubleshoot or contact details for the manufacturer aftercare services.
Following a previous review, Customer Services reached out to me via Amazon and promptly provided a replacement device which is working fine so I have updated my previous review.

I was apprehensive about this dvr as it is so cheep but was blown away of the quality and easy set-up.
This dvr allows you to view the footage from a phone with NO MONTHLY FEES !!!
All you need is the app on your phone and an ethernet cable to plug between the dvr and your internet router, the set up was all explained in the manual that comes with the product.

This was bought to replace my old Swann unit which worked but was very difficult to get to connect to the internet to enable remote viewing.
This system was much easier to set up and was a doddle to set up to work for remote viewing which is why I wanted a cctv system in the first place.
Only downside was that the instruction were poor. if you have had a cctv before you should be able to figure it out. i watched a couple of videos on youtube which helped. 90% was simple nut setting the cameras to only record when they detected motion was not obvious. By default they all record all the time.
For the price a bargain.

Replaced my old Sannce system so was simply plug and play. Up and running in no time. Took a while to set up Xmeye as needed to reconfigure IP and and all that. But all good.

The memory on the system is good enough for most purposes and the clarity of the recordings are good.
What I like most about this DVR is the ability to a access my cameras from outside my home. I have older cameras and it recognised them straight away. The provided software is easy to use, but above all I know if I ever have a problem either hardware or software based help is always promptly given when asked for. I would definitely have no problem in recommending this product to anyone.

Good product, pretty easy to set up once full instructions were emailed although product comes with quick set up guide. Very easy to set up the remote option so I can now see my home on my mobile. Image pretty good on TV screen but excellent on my mobile and tablet. Overall very pleased

I bought the system to replace an old DVR i had. This one was simple to install. Just put in the cables from the cameras, hook up a monitor and bingo.
It uses the XMeye app which was also simple to set up. When you start up the system for the first time it runs you through a series of screens to get the system software configured to your requirements. It gives you those square barcodes you can point your Iphone camera at and it automatically takes you to the app in the app store, and then the app allows you to do the same again with another square barcode to automatically add the IP system to the app. All very simple!
I also added a 4tb hard drive to the enclosure as i had a spare. All i had to do was open up the unit, plug in the new hard drive i had and bingo! i now have a 4TB system.
Very happy with the DEATTI DVR and excellent customer service from this manufacturer. Item was initially missing the remote control, but the manufacturer sorted this out without delay – very quick to reply to emails and very helpful indeed. DVR is excellent and highly recommended.

Picture quality and night vision are really good.
As it was to replace my old unit, it was set up and working in a couple of moments, but an install from scratch would be very simple.
It isn’t set up online or my phone, so I can’t comment but I can’t see that it wouldn’t be any bother to set this up.
All in all a great buy and I would recommend giving this unit a try – you wont be disappointed.
It really is plug and play as long as you use the QR code and you write down your user name and password ready to refer to later.
I have established 20 camera’s on two systems 3 phone receiver’s and 4 TV as monitor’s and it also play upto 1months historical recording.
I am now able to monitor 2 separate houses 50 miles apart or even when I am on the move with and without WIFI.
Without WIFI you use Data on your sim card.

Took some time to configure, the instructions were Ok but sometimes chinese instructions don’t seem to flow that well although these were better then others I have tried to understand. I have managed to set up to view cameras on a stand alone monitor, Iphone and PC and all are working well. Overall great value for the money. Arrived quickly and very securely packaged. Only had the DVR for a few days so unable to judge reliability.
This item was used to replace an existing item that had stopped working and was installed by a professional company. I was worried that I might struggle to get the replacement setup and working. The item arrived and basically took the cables off of the old unit and installed them on y new unit, turned it on and then followed some very easy to follow instructions, and that was it up and running within minutes. Great item and excellent communications when I did need to contact them for a little bit of advice, pretty much and instant response. via Whatsapp. Great item for the money.
its a good box for the price the only problem is instructions not great had to use customer support when i was stuck they where very good and quick to e mail me back with the answer i had asked for all in all would recommend for a cheap option to cctv your house
On Saturday morning the set up was undertaken, all the steps are covered in the set up wizard and by following the instructions on the screen it was up and running in a mater of minutes.
Setting the DVR link up the a mobile again was covered in the instructions and although it took a couple of attempts to connect to the internet, could have been either the router or the DVR not shacking hands quick enough, but once they had connected again the whole process took no time at all.
All in all the DVR is a good bit of kit, and for the money well worth buying.

Great value for money product with excellent customer service received. The Customer Service Team answered all my pre-purchase questions as needed to check if the DVR was compatible with my camera set up. XMEye app and DVR set up was simple with full instructions provided. DVR slightly noisier than previous DVR, however the noise isn’t distracting. Well worth purchasing.

The down side – very poor instructions that arrived with the camera.
There is a DVD with the unit but my laptop does not have a media player – had to work out what to do for recording, playback, saving etc and write a brief set of instructions for the user.
memory be better to add a little more to price and include a USB memory stick with complete and precise instructions.
Update: After writing the above review, Deatti contacted me to apologise for the problems with this DVR. The outcome being, a partial refund of the purchase price. I have to say that Deatti’s customer service is second to none. I was very pleasantly surprised by this company and even though I was a bit disappointed after the original purchase, I would definitely buy from this company in the future.
