Overall it does a good job. Could do with a few more hose attachments
Works well with my table saw. Next time I would go for one with auto switch! 😉
Nice little addition to my shed. The rubber seal around the lid was loose but soon had it secured with a bit of glue. Not as noisy as many of my power tools.
Gives a nice hard suck. This unit completes me.
Fantastic suction and easy to clean. It’s not the quietest but you use it in conjunction with a machine anyway so not really a problem. Pulls away vertually all the dust even fine Mdf. Really happy with it.
Had this since April and used it a lot now. Yes, it’s big, yes, it’s a bit noisy; but boy does it do the job. Well impressed with this and the fact it had banished all the dust that flies into the air and settles all over my small workshop. Great device
Although noisier than my shop vac this dust collector does exactly what it is supposed to. I use mine on a large CNC machine and it has pretty much eliminated the dust and chips that the machine makes. I am about to buy another to use with my table saw and router table.
Have no idea how I kept the dust lvls down before. This is a must for your planer, but has improved the mess from my table saw too. Very pleased with it and the price. Dam noisy but when your using a planer you’d be mad not to be wearing ear protection anyhow
Bought a Lumberjack BDE1200 from Amazon last year and just round to getting it set up and used. Very high quality piece of kit and amazing suction for the size of motor (1200W). The 5 piece adaptor fits to all of my hoses used on my power tools, so that is a boost.
Lightweight enough for me to take from my workshop to my workplace in the back of the truck.
Although the supplied 2m x 100mm extraction hose is a fair size it would be good if Lumberjack sold 100mm extension hoses and a 100mm hose joining connector, so I could get the unit to sit in the middle of my workshop and reach the tools rather than have to move it around. An additional 2m hose would be great. Yes, you can buy extensions on Amazon but the quality of the Lumberjack hose is very high.
I bought this extractor after reading the reviews on Amazon and I am very glad I did. It is a cracking extractor.
Just the job for me, no more dust flying around my workshop. Comes with all the connectors you need, with a flex pipe that fits most tools. When it’s connected to my ripsaw it collects about 95% of the dust.
This is a handy little extractor for my Bosch sld 2 mitre saw, one of the adapters fits perfectly. It sits neatly under the saw stand and keeps dust to an apsolute minimum . It doesn’t take up a lot of room in the van and Is ideal for site use or a small workshop as the adapters will fit a range of different equipment. On the downside the metal band that holds the lid on broke the instant I took it off the extractor to set it up. This was a little disappointing but it was nothing a rivit couldn’t fix . I would of contacted the seller but I was pressed for time and couldn’t wait for a replacement as I needed to use it the next day .
Very effective for a low price, the multi hose adapter fits most of my tools.
Very good suction plenty to run all workshop tools on. I use it mainly on the planner and it allows me to use the planner in the garage shop without any mess. Regarding the noise it is a few DB more than a standard household Hoover but with way more suction. I will be using this in conjunction with a cyclone to collect in a separate drum as planning will fast fill the 50l capacity.
Suction power is excellent. Drum capacity is huge too. Ive used it as a general dust extractor for my lathe but its also perfect as a general vacuum for woodshavings, sawdust on worksurfaces after using machinery. Only drawback is its very noisy.
This is a very good product great suction and would recommend
This thing is absolutely great, especially considering the low price in comparison to other dust extractors. It’s good good power, is much quieter than my vacuum cleaner and is light, so it’s easy to move around if needed. The only thing I’d recommend is definitely buy some adapters with it as you’ll almost certainly need them for different tools. The tube extension is a good idea too as a smaller tube is much easier to manoeuvre around while you’re working. I use this in my garage workshop and it’s absolutely perfect. It’s never been so dust-free!
Used in workshop, good suction, but noisey, but so are most vacuums. Good vacuum for money.
Bit noisier than expected but that’s not an issue, excellent suction , we have it rigged up to a pipe network via 40mm pvc piping and to a mitre saw box to capture sawdust. As an amateur hobbyist this is an excellent machine that will protect my lungs whilst carrying out a hobby on my weekends.
Great for my small shed, almost no need for a dust mask when this is running
My husband is delighted with this dust extractor. He says it is one of his best buys. powerful suction with low noise level and fits perfectly in a corner of his shed.
Solid as a rock and would suck up a gerbil at 20ft!!.. ( please note no gerbils were harmed in the use of this machine!)
Very powerful machine and pretty quite in comparison to my table saw.
A good addition to my work shop.
Lightweight (10kg) and easy to assemble. Currently connected to a Clarke Table Saw and although I had to make some modifications to the hose adaptors (same diameter as the tool connection hose), it has so far performed as I expected. I have a small garage workshop that is in the back garden so noise levels are a concern, this machine is no noisier than a large domestic vacuum cleaner. Although the item was described as damaged, the problem was minor and just needed some super glue to rectify. Full instructions, maintenance tools and 2 spare dust filter bags came with it. The hose is very stiff and not ideal if you want to move the whole machine around, but if fixed stationary to a tool or a dust extraction system, then it does the job.
Excellent dust collection, now I can breath and see when using the router!
For the price, this is pretty impressive. I have had to get adventurous with extra hoses and adaptors (because I think everything I have is different) but it does the job.
It is noisy, as others have said, but my tools are noisier, so I am not complaining. I am working with MDF at the moment so this has been essential. And it has reduced the amount of dust floating around considerably.
Really pleased with this overall, but I have had to be inventive to attach to my power tools as the nozzles supplied do not fit most of my equipment, having said that I would not be without it now, great bit if kit for the money, although I did buy the 5mt extension tube with this as pipe supplied is pretty useless unless you want it to clean the air flow only (canopy)
Perfect for keeping the garage clean.
It’s loud, no getting Away from that but it does the job.
It’s quite simple contruction, a steel drum with the big vacuum motor sitting on top. It works well, but with two caveats: it’s noisy, and the ring clamp which holds the lid on can be slightly awkward. That said, it works ok, and you probably won’t take it off that often anyway. A minor quibble.
It’s supplied with a short-ish length of 100mm hose, some hose clamps and adaptors, but you may like me end up having to buy other adaptors for your various bits of kit. There seems to be lots of slightly different sized fittings ‘in the wild’ and you will probably only find out when you come to fit it all together !
My father in law loves it. He uses it in small shed. It’s powerful and does as it says. Bigger than he wanted, but portable so easy to move around. One switch on off. Good produc
This item is a practical piece of equipment for the small workshop. It is supplied with a range of different side pipe connectors so that it can be used on a range of equipment. The noise level is must about acceptable and it does generate quite a lot of heat which my be a problem in the summer. I’m satisfied with my purcase
Works great and well worth the money. It arrived quickly and well packed. Thank you
I use this for my router table and table saw…
This monster is Awsome ! it eats all in its path… like my ex wife It would suck start a leaf blowe
I love this piece of kit! It does the job perfectly and comes with a range of adaptors which for all my workshop power tools. Mine stopped working after 2 days, but the supplier arranged collection, and it was fixed and returned within 2 days! Great product and great service. Highly recommended!
I have set up a small workshop in my shed with a planer and table saw. This was a must. It has all the attachments to connect to multiple exhaust vents. Its easy to setup and has a large capacity.
The only slight downsides are that it is very loud and there is no indicator that it is full. On a couple of occasions it has stopped sucking anything up as it is completely full including the hose. These though are small prices to pay for the cost. The machine that it is connected to is usually louder than it anyway and as long as you give it a check every now and then you can avoid a full tank.
If you need a cheap dust extraction unit this is a great choice. It is easy to change the hose to different machines should you need to.
Very pleased with this product works very well would recommend
Very good. A bit loud but I suppose that’s to be expected
Overall as many others have said on this product it is a very powerful dust extractor, its only let down for me is that it dosen’t attach to my very familiar brand of table saw a Dewalt, i have to make something up from other pieces of pipe to attach it, other than that small issue it a fantastic pice of work for the price, i do recommend it.
it does the job motor burnt out after a few mouths sent back to supplier New motor fitted returnd within 1 week
Well all I can say is my husband is very pleased with i
Purchased this to work with a number of power tools, but mainly my jointer plainer. This has now turned the use of the planer into a joy when previously it was a nightmare.
Good suction when using the adaptors for vacuuming with smaller hoses, but this unit came into its own when using the 100mm hose. The air flow is incredible, which is the most important thing when dust extracting.
Some reviewers have said they find the 100mm hose too rigid and inflexible. I found it to be a good compromise between flexibility and durability. Flexible enough to run to all my machines and rigid enough not to kink and block. It also hangs well from my workshop ceiling, being strong enough to support its own weight.
It is quite loud , but that can only be expected given the realy good air flow it produces. My workshop has never been so clean and dust free, and more importantly I don’t have to have my extract fans on full pelt any more.
The filter system is very effective and even coped well with a lot of the dreaded MDF without clogging up. The large tank is very practical and extremely easy to empty.
This is a large item, so I am glad it’s not on wheels.
Would like to have seen it with a power take off and would have happily paid more for this facility.
This will suck your hair off your head if you’re not careful!
The suction is very powerful and has sufficient adapting pieces to ennable it to be used with my planer, bandsaw, lathe , and other wood machining tools. The motor is quite loud but as I use it without the need to move it I have built a cabinet to reduce the noise. I would happily recommend this for a hobbyist wood worker.
I ordered this to use primarily with my Lumber Jack tabletop router. The included extractor adapters didn’t fit onto the router. The hose itself could connect direct but this would have made it a faff each time I wanted to change tools. I contacted Lumber Jack customer services for advice and they sent me the required adapter, free of charge the next day. This is going to go a long way with reducing the amount of sawdust and chipping in my garage. Top marks all round.
Great job, good quality product! Great for the hobby D.I.Y
Have only used it once so far but so far so good .Looks and feels quality and will be extremely beneficial
Finally a dust extractor that works! I must have tried at least four different dust extracting systems before I decided to go nuclear and get this monster. It may not be as small as some systems, it may not be quiet and it may not be cheap but it’s tough, powerful and gets rid of dust.
An excellent vac just the job extracting the dust from my bench saw
