1. Clean the window thoroughly. Make sure it is smooth and clean without any dust

Better than curtains
If you have the type of bathroom where curtains aren’t an option this is a great solution.
You can still get light through the window but no clear veiw in or out of it, which conserves alot of privacy. If you where to stand a centimeter in front of it you would be able to see the silloette without detail and if you stand further away you look like a blob. we tested it at night and it’s the same it’s very good for the price and you get alot in 1 roll.
MAKE SURE TO CLEAN THE WINDOW BEFORE PUTTING FILM ON IT EVEN IF IT’S A NEW WINDOW
When trying to adhear it to the window we found just spraying water on the window makes it really hard to stick and get bubbles out of the film so we added a bit of fairy liquid dish soap you could also use johnsons baby shampoo or any soap without degreasing agents if there is a degreasing agent it will mess the adhesion BE AWARE YOU NEED ONLY A FEW DROPS NOT A WHOLE GALLON.
after putting the water soap soloution in a spray bottle shake it a bit to make sure it’s mixed spray the soapy souloution onto the window and peel the backing off the film and place onto the glass after grab a card could be a credit card or a shopping discount card or as we used a tesco club card
Lightly press the edge of the card against the film so you don’t scratch it and start at the top and middle making a T sort of shape and push the bubbles towards the edges and cut around the edges with a craft knife or Stanley knife and then your done.
Impressed
Really happy with the product. It is abit fiddly. Best tips I can give are a spray bottle of soapy water and drench the window and the the film then spray normal water when it’s on the window to help smooth out any bubbles. There was a crease in the film which stopped the bottom from sticking however a gentle blast with the hair dryer smoothed it right out! The edges will always have some little bubbles around them but looking at it straight on it looks perfect, my only disappointment was I bought enough for two windows as a test before I committed to doing all and when I went to order more the price Has gone up. Overall really good product. My neighbour was so impressed he’s also going to do the same on his windows.
Impossible
Absolutely virtually impossible to peel off the film once cut. Threw it away.
Frosted film
Bought the frosted film to cover the shed windows. Easy to install after watching a quick video. Looks great.
Relatively easy frosting
Great product, relatively easy to install, good adhesion but easy to remove if required, perfect amount of opaqueness for privacy
Amazing!
So easy to put on. Just what I wanted! Amazing result!
Really impressed with the film
Does its job really well. Throughly recommend. Far better than a spray
Great service and a perfect solution for our window
Once cut to size it is easy enough to install. Some may be quicker at it than others. Good adhesion and it does give good privacy
Easy to apply!!!
Easy to apply just what I was looking for! Great product.
The
It qa very easy to use and also practical as you can remove and restock.
It works
Had used before. Only annoying thing was that the small plastic tab designed to help separate the backing film from the stick on film was not already inserted on a starting corner of the film. This insert is meant to help you separate the backing and the window film and help you peel back. So at the outset you have the problem getting the two films apart in order to use it for the purpose intended. Otherwise once after many minutes I had got my cut film sized to fit to my window and peeled open, it fitted as intended. Use plenty of water on the window glass as the film tends to stick fairly easily and it pays to get the film sitting properly rather than relying on trying to slide it around with the water. It also pays to have a plastic card, why not your credit card, to help squeeze out the water and bubbles.
Great for the money
I bought this while decorating and I’d taken the blinds and curtains down
Great product and easy to apply and remove when I’d finished so suited my purpose perfectly and I’d use again.
worth the money
I really love this product it sticks on very well, it lets in sunlight very well, if you stand outside you cant see inside. Really good product would recommend it.
Brilliant solutio
This is a brilliant solution to our issue of being really overlooked by our neighbours and never being able to open our blinds. Now we can pull our blind up at least halfway and have privacy. The installation process was a bit tricky and I would definitely suggest rolling the sheet back on itself because I had an issue with one edge rolling back and not sticking. I used water and fairy liquid in a spray bottle and it worked well. The good thing about this product is that even if you lay it wrong, you can peel it off, re spray the window and stick it down again. I used a credit card to smooth it out and that was great. I would suggest cutting it to size before sticking it on the window, despite what they say about leaving an inch because it’s very hard to cut it once it’s on the window. Overall it was great and I would buy it again with a new and improved technique.
Brilliant privacy scree
This is now on all my windows and hasn’t come off since I put it on over 6 months ago. Super easy to use and looks great inside and out. Much better alternative to net curtains and can be easily removed if needs be
Perfect alternative to a blind/curtai
We bought this for a window in one of our bedrooms that couldn’t support a curtain or blind and it has served so well. No glue and can be cut to size. Despite no glue, it I still stuck in place, many months later, surviving temperature and humidity changes.
Effective and great value
My dog likes to bark at any dogs passing the window, so wanted to reduce their anxiety by blocking the view she has.
This has worked really well. Cost effective and easy to install. The water bubbles will go, but can take a little time. I used a cloth to remove them.
Privacy Scree
Very easy to use and no adhesive so dead easy to remove!
Looks great on my window just a deep sheer screen so cannot see into the toilet window from outside.
Applied easily with no creases just took a little time and patience.
Packaged well, arrived quickly.
Amazing products .
Great Product. Very easy to install if you follow the instructions. However, the instructions are not very clear, so I had to watch the video on YouTube and it was very simple process to follow after watching the video.
The file sticks really well once you spray soapy water on the glass window before applying the film.
I was skeptical about how well this film will stick on the glass door and window, so I thought I would try one first and see how it goes but so far,
I am very happy with the product and Have ordered another one for the other window.
Easy install
This product was SO EASY to install. Not self adhesive, so repositioning was simple.
Simply measure, cut, peel away protective film and fix to glass. I used a mild dish soap water solution to help the film slide into position. Once in place I used a credit card wrapped in kitchen paper to smooth out the bubbles. Any overhang can be trimmed back with a sharp blade. Highly recommended.
Great and cost effective
This product is not see threw at all. My husband and I are very happy with the quality. We are using it on our kitchen windows to avoid seeing or to be seen by the neighbours socialising at their usual smoking space. Its very effective even at night. We have 100% privacy.
Quick and easy to use and fit.
Really pleased with how easy it was to fit. Follow instructions and super easy- I measured and used a scalpel to cut, sprayed the window with water, took the film side off and sprayed with water and then put in place on the window. I didn’t have a shower squeegy, so I used a cloth and something with a straight edge to get air bubbles out. Took 15 mins all in all. I might do another window too, now I know how good and easy it is.
5 minute easy job with perfect results
I deliberately wanted to leave a gap all around but I still needed to cut the top to size which was really easy using a ruler and Stanley knife. Cleaned window then sprayed with soapy water then peeled the top back, held in place and pulled the rest of the backing paper off as a smoothed down with a sponge. Really simple and very effective. No signs of peeling 24 hours late
Does what is says on the packe
Very easy to fit, as long as you follow the instructions and use a lot of water. I used a small drop of liquid soap to help. But just a small amount otherwise you will end up with soap bubbles everywhere.
Follow the tried and trusted method of measure twice (or more if you are not confident) then cut once. I used a wide vinyl-wallpaper smoother to push the air from between the glass and the product. Also placed a towel on the window cill to help with the water drips.
Brilliant scree
I bought this as my bedroom window is right on a communal garden. I’d a nosey neighbour who was always staring in, which was stressful. This has given me great privacy and peace of mind – a very reasonably priced and effective solution. Only issue we had was a slight lack of adhesion at the very edgebut it hasn’t affected the look of the cling on the window, so all good.
It does the job nice and cheap stops my dog being upse
Easy enough to put up. Does the job and cheap enough thank you
Really good
Really pleased with this purchase. We got it to cover our downstairs toilet door glass panels as it had small see through squares.
The privacy film itself has a nice sheen to it and still allows light to penetrate through it.
It went on very easy but you will need to buy a squeegee if you don’t have one. We got one from Tesco for 4 quid (pictured). Make sure to spray plenty of water on both the film and the glass and you shouldn’t have any problems fitting it into place.
Great blackout system
Wanted total blackout for my cinema room. Used this with some blackout curtains and you honestly can’t see your own hand in front of your face it’s that dark. Installing is simple enough best with a spray bottle and some household washing up liquid (a few drops is enough) spray the clean windows then apply with an old credit card to remove the air bubbles and cut the edges with a Stanley knife. If don’t have a steady hand you could remove the beading and then apply the blackout sheet. Replacing the beading when your done
Can be tricky to work with, but the results are worth i
Perfect for added privacy. I bought the frosted option and installed it onto a large pane of glass in a south facing door. This room gets constant sun through most of the day, so gets quite hot during summer months. Unexpectedly, the film also seems to have kept the room a little cooler.
Can be a little tricky to trim and install. You also need to clean your glass very thoroughly to get a perfect finish.
I’ve had it up for a little over 3 months, and it still looks as good as the day I put it up.
Recommended
I bought it to cover the glasses at each side of my front door. I’m very pleased with the end result. It allows the sun to get in and the space is still bright but noone can see inside. The roll was enough for both sides but the difficulty I faced was when cutting the membrane. I cut it in half and start applying it on one side with the intention to trim the edge when finished. The material was very difficult to cut and it took my ages to finish one side. For the other side, I measured how much I needed in advance and cut it beforehand. The application was very quick.
From me
Pleasantly surprised
Really surprised to find this product was pretty easy to use, I am not very DIY friendly and I bought this for a shower door which was much taller than me so up and down the ladders was a bit tricky but as long as it’s wet enough it will stick on and then I used a shower squeegee to smooth out all the air bubbles. It’s completely sheer so now you can’t see through it at all! Really pleased I tried i
It does the job!
It completely blocks the light. I used it for my sons bedroom windows as a temporary solution as my blinds will take a while before they are installed. Just clean the window, spray some water on it, have the sheet cut to size (tip-have a little extra to be able to tuck them in the frame which will disallow any slight amount of light to creep in), remove the film slowly and stick the sheet onto the window making sure no bubbles are formed.
I would definitely recommend this product as a quick, economical, temporary fix.
Superb opaqueness, but difficult to fi
I bought the frosted version. I was amazed that, apart from something being right behind the film, everything was invisible. Impressive!
Sadly, it took forever to fit! My expensive Stanley knife would not trim it! That stopped me following the instructions. Plan B was totrim it with scissors but that looked untidy, so Plan C was to pre-trim it using a guillotine. It was bigger than my guillotine, but I trimmed it in four stages.
Now back to the window, where you wet both film and window. Both were water repellant. At leat I didn’t have a border that overlapped the rubber window seal, though.
Imagine you have a giant phone and want to fit a protective film with no bubbles. Do you appreciate the problem? I have never, ever, seen a good job with a phone and film!
So, I dread tomorrow. Will the film have fallen off? Will there be giant bubbles? Watch this space.
Well worth the money, great product.
Hard to peel the backing off, easy to install and well worth the money, great product.
PERSEVERE! Remember Frosted side faces you!!!!
Well I followed all the instructions to the letter, I window washed, sprayed, peeled, stuck, smoothed, watch it elegantly slide off the window. I repeated this 4 times. I gently placed it and smoothed with a sponge, placed it and smoothed with a window squeegie, threw it at the ruddy window and slapped it, 4 times it slid off like water of a ducks back. In desperation and feeling like one of lifes failures I phoned a friend. Said friend is a decorator, in exchange for coffee and cake he came to my rescue. The stuff was up in 5 minutes and I had to listen to why I made such a dogs dinner of it. The gritty feel frosty side faces inwards not against the glass! The stuff is really good and stops the people in the newly purchased holiday home peering into my bedroom. I was concerned about it making the room dim, this afternoon the Cumbrian heavens opened as only they can, dark skies, thunder etc. the light was there was of it still came through. I am very happy with this, the dogs very happy with this as she doesn’t feel obliged to bark her nut off at the strangers outside the window. Money well spent I just hope its still up tomorrow.
Did the job, but consider better if available.
It did what I wanted and blurred my window after taking the blind down thus letting light in and keeping eyes out.
There were niggles though hence not five stars. Firstly what they don’t tell you in the item description is they expect you to spray water on it and I didn’t have an empty spray bottle so I tried glass cleaner. Big mistake, don’t do that!
Secondly they expect you to have a ‘squidgy’ for air bubbles, which I also didn’t have so my finished adhesion is not perfect.
And finally the adhesion itself, maybe it’s my fault for not having the tools they expect which was only informed in the instruction but the adhesion to the glass is quite weak and after one day it has already started to peel back. Time will tell of it’s durability.
If I need one again I’ll maybe check if there’s a higher quality one. Cutting this was also a pain in the a**e. And I’m ok with using professional tools around the house so I wasn’t expecting to need a PHD to install this.
Brilliant!
A brilliant product. It’s easy to cut down to size and apply. I’ve always struggled with the glue type frosted stuff, I was never able to get it on without creases or air bubbles. But this stuff attaches with water only, so it’s easy to move and re apply if you get a crease, and using a ruler all the air bubbles come out.
A lot of light comes through, whilst your privacy is still protected.
I would 100% recommend.
Not 100% perfect but does the job, easy to fi
Came slightly shorter than advertised so wasn’t a perfect fit.
Install was pretty easy but it has come away slightly at the edges since being fitted.
Overall does the job.
Easy peasy, perfect results
Easy peasy, perfect results. Read the instructions, watch YouTube videos, use plenty of water and a have perfect results. TIPS: Only line up on one edge (eg the top) and cut the rest in place, it really is easier that way. Use a SHARP knife and enough force to cut on the fist go ( it’s quite thick and rubbery)
Great results, very happy, would recommend.
We'll worth buying
I had white streaks on outside window to hide this used this product back in February it was easy to put up love the effect well impressed
Once it's on, it's pretty effective
I bought this frosted film to mask the back of my aquariums, to hide pipes, wires etc.
The film itself is quite thick, which helps with the effect I’m looking for, but word of warning… it is an absolute pig to separate the film and backing sheet prior to applying to the glass. I get that these sheets are mass produced on large rolls and cut to size, but an over hang of some description would made the separating task a little less frustrating.
I also thought the adhesion would be a bit better. Again, I know it supposed to be removable, so not entirely sure how fair I am being with this comment and I have never used this film before, so have nothing to compare it to. In terms of longevity; it’s only been on the tank for 48hrs so can’t really say how long it will last, it hasn’t peeled off yet though. Time will tell if it’s any good, I guess.
At the end of the day, the film wasn’t expensive and I am happy with the effect, which is the most important bi
Self adhesive glass frosting
Easy to instal if you follow the instructions. Take the time to remove all air bubbles or they will show. It does a good job and looks like frosted glass.
Does what it says
Bought the frosted one for a door window, really easy to use honestly. I found making a paper pattern of the window far easier than making it a bit bigger than the window and cutting it to fit with a blade, however doing it with the blade would work really well if you’re putting it on a straight edged window, but mine was a bunch of pizza shapes so it was far easier to make a pattern and then lightly draw on the film to cut out.
I’ve added a photo of the outside and the inside, it was a cloudy day but you can’t see through it which is exactly what I bought it for.
The hardest thing to deal with was peeling the clear film away from the frosted film you put on the glass. My only advice is to use the sticker that it came with to help peel it away or have the patience of a saint.
Great produc
I was recommended this type of product by a dog trainer to block out the view that causes our dog to be restless in our conservatory.
It’s not the easiest to apply and so we have a fair amount of tiny bubbles – I suspect we didn’t use enough water as we didn’t have a spray bottle which is what is advised. It looks great despite this, and does what it’s supposed to. Definitely very easy to remove and it doesn’t leave a mark as only “stuck” with water. It’s been in place for a couple of weeks now and is doing what it’s supposed to (dog much calmer as getting better rest!). No lifting or curling at the edges which I feared.
Very easy to cut to size.
Would happily purchase another roll if we ever needed more.
ot as big as you think
it was grand to put up but the roll didn’t have very much on it. I was using it to black out a box room window, not very big, but it wasn’t long enough to do the two strips. I have to cut and paste it all in so it doesn’t stick perfectly. But the areas that do stick are good. I would suggest buying a longer roll
looks good, installing not so great.
looks good once it’s on but edges are extremely hard to trim off during installation, it’s too thick to bend snugly at the window frame. to save yourself hassle i’d suggest cutting the film to exactly (or a few mm smaller than) the size of the glass before installing or prepare to have some not so great edges.
Looks great. Can be moved to another window
It took a bit of practise but use a sharp blade or Stanley knife and use a credit card or similar to create the pressure against the side as you cut to size. The card is also useful for smoothing out the bubbles before cutting to size. Use lots of water. Definitely worth doing overlap all round for a good cut and fit. On a couple of windows I didn’t do that and some of the edging didn’t then sit flat. A couple of pieces I also shifted to other windows after ordering more of it. The transfer was seamless and looks great despite being moved. Easy to use. No bubbles. And re-usable. Highly recommend.
Great idea
I’m not sure how easy this is to remove but putting it on was so simple. After moving my bathroom in the house, I needed a frosted window which I couldn’t afford. This works a treat and I highly recommend this.
Once mastered it’s grea
This is fairly awkward to put on as it is so sticky and tries to curl up on itself , if you remove only a little at a time it is easier to control, overall I was happy with the product and would buy again if needed as it looks great when applied
Handy but fiddly
You need patience to install this, I used on my door which meant I couldn’t really cut it when In place so I had to cut to size. The soapy water adhesion technique works really well but I did find with one side especially there were lots of air bubbles appearing within 24 hrs when there were none after install really hard to notice though due to the frosted nature of the sticker.
Really great produc
Great product, (I’m not being sponsored to write this either!). Since moving my home office it became evident I needed to shield myself from the outside world a bit! Easy to install if care is taken and the results are great. As mentioned by others, absolutely clean the window and soak with soapy water. I put washing up liquid and water in a spray bottle. Cut the item too big, it moves around easily on the window so you can position it. When peeling the backing off, in found this easier to do with it laid flat on a hard surface. Then again. Soak the side of the film going onto the window. When putting on work from the top down, abs use a credit card to get the bubbles out. When in a good position and with most bubbles removed, I got a metal ruler and scalpel to go around and trim. When trimmed give it a final once over with the credit card to totally remove the bubbles. If you take care and don’t rush, it looks amazing.
Perfect for privacy
I purchased this after moving home where the bedroom windows where facing into the ground floor of a street so as you could imagine I didn’t really fancy the neighbours having a nosey, so purchased 3 rolls and covered the windows up, they provide perfect lighting in the day time, doesn’t block it out at all so my room is still nice and well lit, I have actually stopped closing my curtains now as the light in the morning is waking me up naturally with out the stress of people looking in. I’ve never put anything up like this before and was my first time, was easy as pie, all you need is a tape measure and scissors to get it the perfect shape you need and then a bit of water and the jobs done within 20min.
Hides the clutter in glass windowed cabinets well!
We have two kitchen cabinets with a clear glass window in them, and the misses didn’t want to show off the clutter we keep in there (bar the photos part of this review). Not wanting to replace either the doors or the glass themselves, this frosted window film came to the rescue.
It was fairly straight forward to apply, although I did take off the cabinet doors so we could just lay it flat. Making sure the glass was plenty wet with a mixture of soap and water, we used an expired debit card to clear out the air bubbles through the sides, and that was it.
It looks as if cabinet windows were made like that, and you can’t really make out what clutter is hiding behind them unless it is literally against the glass. It is getting used to, though – we keep thinking the windows have steamed up from cooking.
So far no issues with bubbles appearing at corners or the sides, but will certainly update the review to reflect that if it happens.
Once up looks good
I have a front window beside my front door, which allows a lot of light in but unfortunately limits privacy as anyone who rings the bell, automatically looks through the window too.
I saw this online and thought this would be absolutely perfect and it definitely does the job.
The idea is a simple and very affective one.
How ever it took a very long getting it to stay up!
Every time we stuck it to the window as per instructions, it would keep falling off.
The Self-Adhesive Frosted Glass Window Film would peal start to peal off from the top and the weight of it would then take the entire panel off.
Once we eventually got it to stick and stay put it looked great.
Unfortunately every morning we would come down stairs to find that it’s fallen off completely.
After a few days, I gave up and used ‘Glu Dots’ to keep the corners in place with out being visible. This was the perfect solution and as it’s invisible it keeps it all looking neat, smart and tidy.
Easy enough with care
Generally fine to apply with patience. OK on the long edges but curled up where cut off the roll. Maybe worth leaving flat for a few days before use. Only used on a garage window so taped it down.
Here's everything you need to know:
I’ve tried a few of these products from various brands and this is the best one I’ve used.
Here’s a guide to help you:
1. If the product appears creased or dented, don’t bother, it will not work – send it back!
2. Make sure you handle the film really carefully, you don’t want to crease it. It will require some paperweights to hold it down while you cut.
3. The instructions say to cut it to size when it’s on the window, in situ, but I’d suggest measuring up the glass, cutting it on a cutting board with a sharp knife and ruler, then placing onto the window, already at the right size.
4. Ensure the window is nice and clean and free of any little specs of paint etc. We used standard glass cleaner and a lint cloth for this
5. Using an empty bottle with a spray nozzle, mix some soapy water and lighly spray the window
6. Carefully remove the adhesive protective film from the vinyl and lightly spray with soap solution. This means that it’s much easier to place on the window and move around before it dries.
7. We used a decorators caulker / plastic finishing knife to push the bubbles and water in a downwards direction and had a bunch of paper towels on hand to dry up any water that leaks out. A credit card would suffice.
8. Don’t rush any of the above steps or it will probably go wrong
Once you get the hang of it, it’s really easy and quite satisfying. We left a 1cm border around the edge but if you measure and cut properly you don’t need to.
Hope that helps!
AMAZING!!!
After looking at reviews I thought this was going to be really fiddly to apply – it was super easy. We are in the middle of installing a new bathroom and have a window fitter friend who tapped out the window for us so we could stretch over window so no gaps. It took 5 minutes, lots of soapy water, an old credit card and pop window beads back in. I’m truly amazed as I had a quote for sandblasting our windows (500!!!) This has totally transformed our bathroom window and you can’t see through it LOVE It thank you.
Fickle but I love it!
Bought this for my front living room. I was unsure when buying the products after looking through the reviews BUT thought I’ll give it a try anyway.
The Pros:
Overall I love it, it has such a stylish look on the windows and you can barely see anything inside or outside. So far it has stuck well to the windows.
The cons:
Instructions aren’t that brilliant, I did make sure I read the comments and added a few drops of washing liquid to the water and sprayed the window. Instructions say to cut inch to give wiggle room. I’m not sure if that was smaller or larger, I did cut to as precise as I could. Now I wished I cut larger because nearly all the pieces I cut curled up at the edges and I taped it down (wasn’t fussed about looks from inside just privacy). It was such a hassle to install too, maybe again to me not cutting larger than the measurements.
Other than that I love it, and buying more for my kitchen (and remembering to cut bigger).
Highly recommended, just ensure you follow instructions.
I really like this product! It is a bit fiddly to install – just make sure you drench the window/glass you are putting it onto.
I would also recommend using a rubber squeegee and a brand new blade in an utility knife as it can easily tear. Combine the knife with a metal straightedge and you’ll get crisp edges.
My final recommendation would be to install in on the opposite side of the glass you will look at most frequently. The side it is installed on is a little messy at the edges – looks more white and has a few small bubbles, however looks perfect from the other side.
I would definitely use this product again should I feen the need to.
Decent enough
It’s easy to cut to size and once it’s on it stays on. I followed the instructions, but I still found a number of bubbles in the film and a couple of corners curl up a little. It’s doing what I need it to do, as it is only temporary the odd bubble doesn’t bother me too much.
Looks professional, relatively easy to install
Relatively easy to install though a bit tricky doing it by yourself and trimming the excess off in the corners. Patience is needed to avoid ripping the material in the corners. I bought some cheap squeegees were I would 100% recommend! I actually pulled one off and put it on again to test and it came off easily and went straight back on with another spray of water with no problems. Very pleased with the outcome. Less than 20 for all 4 window panels.
Nice and easy.
It is very easy to install, instructions and tools needed are clear. Just the roll was not big, but used a huge box for delivery which was kinda a waste. It works well in keeping privacy. Very satisfied purchase in general.
Good for privacy...to an extent.
It was easy enough for my husband to install. We haven’t tried to take off so can not comment on this. You can still see through but it’s very blurred. Depending on your needs I would maybe take into consideration other products. Perfect for our upstairs bathroom but not sure if I would use it for a ground floor window.
Worked as Advertised
We used the product on warehouse office windows that needed good privacy while allowing light through. The windows were old fashioned metal frames with uneven, insecure paintwork at the window-pane edges. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because (1) it was difficult to get the backing off, even with the tips provided in the instructions and (2) it was difficult to get a good edge on such uneven windowpane edges and there is some poor adhesion around the edges because of this. However, overall we are very pleased with the result and it has provided the privacy and light transfer we required.
Quick and cheap solution. Good product.
This product was a quick and cheap fix for what we needed. It’s fairly easy to install just takes an good hour or so but well worth going slow with it. Watched a few YouTube videos on how to apply as the QR code on the box wouldn’t work for us.
Make sure you clean your window first. I washed the window with warm soapy water and then dried it off and went over with a clean cloth and a window cleaner product, worked fine. Then make sure you saturate the window with soapy water again as this easily allows you to slide the product into the correct place. This was important for us as we used two pieces side by side as it was a large window. Once in the correct spot start to remove the bubbles, we used a squeegee and a credit card covered with a clean micro cloth. It didn’t look great when we first finished the job but once dried we are really pleased with the look and privacy we’ve got in our conservatory now. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
So glad we went for this
We have a large downstairs window with close street access so needed an easy to fit, right size solution.
After reading lots of reviews we went for this – absolutely the right choice.
As we had a large area to cover, we didn’t need to cut, but having soaked the film & window & following the instructions in adhered so easily with almost no bubbles (once its up & dry we couldn’t see them anyway).
Still lets 90% of the light through, completely blocks out passers by etc – 100% made the right choice.
Large sheets will need 2 people to fix to the window, and suggest one peels whilst one fixes. Was done in 10 minutes! Brilliant product.
