I purchased the Amazon basic mattress to replace twin singles so the closest size was super king, although the mattress when fully inflated was not at the advertised 15cm it was more like 12 I still can not fault this mattress. It is an affordable mattress that will see you perfectly fine until

I found the mattress comfortable to sleep on from any position. The bed itself was was not slats so I would worry that with the thickness of it, it may sink through any bed with reasonably spaced apart slats and I have seen some frames with quite cube shaped slats and would have to assume given the thickness this will likely be felt through it but couldn’t say for sure.
I will be purchasing the mattress again having recently moved while saving for a quality tailored mattress, I will go with the 18cm option this time.

I’m actually really impressed with this mattress. We got the 18cm single for our sons first bed. The top layer of memory foam makes the mattress soft and comfortable and the bottom gives good support and bounce.
On a budget for a light child this mattress is perfect and you couldn’t go wrong. It comes rolled so it’s so easy to carry and move around and quickly pops into shape.

Fits a normal size single bed and is surprisingly comfortable. Perfect for the bunk beds I’ve just put in for the grandchildren.
Firstly, let’s talk about the packaging of the product. The foam mattress (just like other foam-based products) came rolled up and compactly packaged though with no box which didn’t bother me. Rather, it came well wrapped in a thick plastic based transparent packaging which did the trick for protecting the product upon arrival. After removing the Exterior packaging, the foam mattress cane was super thin, however, after just a few hours, rose to its thickness of approximately 18cm. What surprised me the most was that unlike other foam products (ie: pillows), this particular foam had almost no unpleasant odours which was a huge bonus for me :).
I love that this particular amazon basics foam mattress has three layers of foam and designated support zones to support both your neck and also lower body when sleeping. This is a perfect addition, especially for those that suffer from chronic back conditions. I let me sister sleep a few nights with this mattress (she suffers from Back Scoliosis) and she told me that her back would hurt a little less during the day than normal, resulting in better quality sleep. I also sleep for about a week on this mattress (I don’t suffer from chronic back complications), and also had well rested nights of sleep. I would say that this isn’t the best mattress that I have tried, though is still better than most in the market priced at this range. I have an expensive spring-based mattress I sleep on every night (x3 the price of this one), and must say that the foam mattress is possibly of better quality.
In a weird way, it feels like you’re sleeping on clouds, the first layer of foam allows for your back and body to sink into the mattress, where the last 2 layers support your body with a subtle firmness. This helps to restrict your movements in deep sleep; making your sleep more effective and restful. Overall, very satisfied with the quality of this mattress by Amazon Basics, and would recommend!

I have this mattress on my sons bed. It is very soft. Comfortable. It adapts to his body and he loves it!!! It fits his double bed perfectly. Easy to clean with a damp cloth.
This mattress arrived rolled up so it is easy and compact to transport and get up stairs etc. It is best to get it in the right room/place before unwrapping so it can return to its actual shape/size. It is 18cm deep and I would say it is more on the “basics” side of a memory foam mattress, however it does feel comfortable, supportive but soft and I think it is a very good and fair price point. It does unfortunately have a bit of a chemically smell to it so we have been trying to air it.
This mattress is good. Has a slight odor when you first get it. You need to let air get in first for the mattress when you get it. Very soft and comfortable.
I have a king-sized bed and this is only a few centimetres wider! So, fitted in perfectly. I love that it’s super comfortable and when moving at night, there is no motion transfer, so you get a very peaceful and quiet sleep. Very gentle on my back and I would highly recommend it. The build quality is excellent and the mattress topper’s cover is thick, soft and sturdy.

I have finally had the chance to switch my bedroom mattress with this lovely king size mattress. I have been sleeping on this for a while now and so far I didn’t encounter any discomfort or irritation using it. This mattress is very comfortable and soft. Thanks to the memory foam, this mattress aligns perfectly with the shape of my body, which adds to my comfort and ability to sleep quickly.
I suffer from a herniated disk and I always find it hard to find an optimal sleeping position. Over the years I always struggled with hard mattresses or ones that don’t provide adequate support. I would say this one provides convenient support for me to sleep tight and not wake up in the middle of the night with my back aching. I am very happy that I switched to this mattress and I would definitely recommend it.
Ok, I already have a 20 cm mattress topper on top of my super-duper mattress and the bed is already almost up to the ceiling, but it is still not soft enough for me, so when this came up, I was like – YES, PLEASE!
Then I checked the size of what I ordered and it was SUPER KING…while I have only a double bed….felt deflated, but decided to give it a go regardless.
It came and the box was surprisingly…..small….at least way to small ( I thought) for a super king mattress topper!
Well, unless there was a mix-up at the factory and they packed a double topper instead of a Super King ( which would work for my double bed) , this super king is of a funny size – literally around 10 cm wider than a standard double…. Which is fabulous for me, but may be an issue for you, so do make sure you check the measurements!
It is thin, but makes a difference and comes in a padded mattress cover that covers not only the topper itself, but however thick your actual mattress might be, it will also fit into the excess of this cover! Works fab in my case!
If your mattress is a bit tired, then this may be exactly the answer to your prayers you are looking for – an inexpensive one that is!
It comes rolled up, inflates within minutes and whatever creases there may be because of the way it is folded for transportation, they come out before your eyes, so cannot fault the packaging!
As I keep on saying – the topper itself is good, I have now used it for over 3 weeks and loving it – gives my back a lot more cushiony surface to really let the muscles relax and sink into the softness, so yeah – if the size is right for you, go for it!
First impressions were wow that’s heavy and its pretty small for a king sized, but of course its vacuum packs into a folded roll. The instructions say to unpack it and let it breathe for 48 hours so I (wisely I thought) waited until I was going away for a couple of days to unroll it n the bedroom it was to live in and let it do its stuff.
The second impression I got was how it stinks of chemicals, so left a top window open and an air purifier running for several hours a day on both days I was away to help air it better. When returned home the smell was still slightly there but much much less.
The mattress is not a memory foam one as I was expecting but a segmented foam mattress with a memory foam topper, this is the ideal scenario for me with a delicate backmemory foam mattresses are too soft, I just sink into them, and sleeping on my face can often leave me short of breathe if I go “off pillow”. A mattress with a topper is the ideal mix of support and softness for my liking.
It comes all weirdly rolled like its vacuum packed and takes a while to unfold but if you leave it to do that then it evens itself out quite nicely.
It fits the bed very well with just a few centimeters gap between frame and mattress and is quite snug and comfortable, although it is only the top of the mattress that is actually memory foam but that does not seem to make much difference to the enjoyment of a good nights sleep.
Recommended for the budget mattress lovers.
This is a very comfortable mattress, I’ve been having a great night’s sleep since using it.
It’s very soft and comfortable and love how you sink into it , it’s really soft but still very supportive too.
It came well packaged and easy to transport and lift to where you want it.
After letting it expand for 48 hours it was ready to sleep on.
This is definitely good value for money and a really soft and comfortable mattress.
I’ve been having the best night’s sleep in a long time on this mattress and i would definitely recommend it.
I am super shocked at how fantastic this mattress is. This is one of the best mattress I ever slept on. It is so comfortable and supportive. Most importantly it is very comfortable the 1 month I have had it I have no complaints. But it smells incredibly strongly of chemicals for days on end. You should leave it at least 3 days. The mattress has a cover that can be washed. Recommended if you like a firm bed!
As with all foam mattresses, unroll it and then leave it to air for a few days in a well-ventilated room. This allows the foam to fully expand but more importantly it allows chemical residue scents to dissipate. Never sleep on any new memory foam mattress or pillow that hasn’t been through this airing process. The chemical residues from the manufacturing process can be harmful if inhaled, so the ventilation procedure is important.
In terms of comfort, this Super King mattress is excellent. As with most Amazon Basics products, it represents good value for money. You could pay two or three times as much for a brand mattress that’s less comfortable and less supportive.

Brilliant quality for the price. As others have noted, the mattress ships surprising small–I first thought there was an error. It’s also much lighter and easier to manage than a monster Caspar mattress I once had to deal with. It pairs realy well with a mattress topper/protector.
I’m already fan of memory foam mattresses. I find the ‘deadening’ quality (vs a ‘springy’ sprung mattress) conducive to a good, fast sleep. It’s fairly soft. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a lower-cost, high quality mattress–unless you need something really firm.
This is a unbiased review of a free product, and is not our main mattress. But is getting quite a bit of use in our loft room as our toddler is being a bit of a nightmare at night and one of us needs to get some sleep now and again…
And good sleep it is too, for the price I think this is a great quality memory foam mattress and I would say would be as good as our main mattress (an Eve king size) if I was offered the 18cm instead of the 15cm to review. It is firm and supportive, which is a must for me, as well as avoiding any pressure points. There was a slight “foam” smell when it was unpackaged but with the window open it soon dispersed.
The cover unzips so it can be washed and the creases disappear after a few days to let it expand properly from being vacuum packed.
Also as it was in the loft room and the stairs up are really tight it was a breeze to get up and unpack under the eaves which I don’t think would have been the case with a standard mattress.
Over all very happy and once the toddler tantrums calm down it will be a great spare bed for guests and then probably our little boys main bed in a few years time, that is if I can get it back down the stairs in its unpacked form…
I’d recommend this bed. The bed that’s not too soft, it has a decent firm to it. It strikes a right balance to make it comfortable. Decent bed that gets the job done.

The cover has a zip, so this can be taken off and washed.
When you lay on the mattress its of a medium density.
It cradles your body as you sleep without causing excessive sinking.
Its warm without being hot.
Its quality without being expensive.
Its a perfect memory mattress and I recommend it for people of all ages !
We were excited to see mattress on Amazon by Amazon’s own brand. We waited with very high expectations. The packaging that came was very nice.
Comfort was better than I thought. It’s really comfortable. It is really good that you can remove the cover and it is washable. Last year, we bought a mattress, from some other brand, which worths about 100pounds more than this one. Amazon’s price is quite reasonable. I think they can make it a little bit better maybe.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you should open the mattress and wait for 3 days before using it. There’s an odor in the mattress, kinda smells bad probably because of keeping in a plastic bag for a while. Other than that it was quite nice and comfortable. Worths the money.
Super comfortable 18cm thick , double bed memory foam bed mattress!! For people like me and my boyfriend is lifesaving because we work many hours I’m sitting and my back suffer , he is in the hospitality industry and his back too suffers with different way . Having a good sleep and comfort is not lux any more , we are very glad having the opportunity to be part of vine and saying what is actually going on with the item . It’s amazing!!!! It worth each penny trust me !!! I will purchase for my parents too !!
Very comfy mattress. Don’t be too excited to use it and do let it have ample time to decompress first. Seems to be well made and a good size/depth. The memory foam aspect is always a nice aspect. Really very good for a ‘basic’ mattress. The guests will thank you for a good nights sleep.
A few guests have mentioned the bed in the guest room is far too firm. I personally prefer a film bed but I guess it’s not for everyone. Amazon basic mattress made the previously firm bed into a premium extremely comfortable bed, as mentioned I prefer firm mattress but I have been sleeping in the guest room for the past 2 nights to check whether it would work as a topper, it does, very well!
Now I have to wait till covid is over for guest to re review the bed. Only con is that it does get slightly warmer than my current mattress, perhaps bamboo sheets might allow better cooling than cotton sheets.
I have been using this mattress for just 2 nights now. I let it air for 2 days as instructed. Perhaps I am a little heavy for it but although I have the 15cm deep version, the 18cm would no doubt be perfect. I can feel the wooden slats of my bed. Not a major issue.
In this day and age so many kids have double beds this would be ideal for them.
Due to the pattern on the mattress, I find it essential to have a mattress protector over the top of it.
As always, AMAZON BASICS feature well made products that seem sturdy enough to last the distance. Hopefully, this mattress will last the recommended life of a mattress which is 10 years.
I was dubious at first about how this would weigh up for a “budget friendly” mattress. I expected a cheaply made product which wasn’t that comfy. How wrong was I. It is superbly made and wow how comfy Is it. It’s hard to tell someone how comfy a product is but the foam is good quality and moulds to you as you sleep. As you move it springs back and remoulds. I suffer with a bad back and my back has definitely eased whilst sleeping on this mattress.
It comes well packaged in a roll which is vacuum sealed. You do need to give it the full 48 hours to air and spring to it’s full size. The mattress is white and has a nice pattern to the top.
The price is very good for the quality of mattress considering how much some of the leading memory foam companies charge.
My only reason for losing a star is the smell. I’m unsure if it’s from the packaging or the mattress product itself (which I think is more likely). It hasn’t gone away since using it and can often leave an overpowering scent In the room when the door has been closed. It’s given my husband a headache.

I’ve used it for a few nights now And it is a very comfortable mattress considering the price. It It comes rolled up to make it easy to manoeuvre into the bedroom and once unruled and unpackaged should be left for 48 hours. It is also folded in half so the last part to even out is where the fold was and this will happen if you give it the full 48 hours to stretch. The memory foam layer Works well and you can feel it moulding into your body while you sleep, it’s comfortable to move around and feels nice to live on.
This is awesome memory foam mattress, made of soft foam layer, provides comfort and good support for comfortable night sleep. It’s pricey but its worth. Delivery was fast and mattress was well packed.
A budget friendly memory foam mattress.
The mattress arrives rolled, it is a manageable size to get upstairs, around wardrobes etc as it is much smaller than when it expands ( I initially thought I’d been sent a single by mistake) however when unwrapped and laid out it expands rapidly to the correct size.
The mattress is very comfy to sleep on, it is supportive while still being soft enough to be comfortable. The memory foam material “gives” where you lie on it and returns to shape when you move.
There was no roll together and we were both very comfortable.
Standard size fitted sheets fit perfectly and didn’t “ping off” in the corners as we slept and moved.
For the price point you get a good quality, comfortable mattress.
