This chair fitted the bill perfectly – it has a wide, sturdy base with good castors that roll easily, even on my carpet, adjustable arms which you can adjust to fit your height and angle them inward or outward if needed. The mesh seat and back are surprisingly comfortable and I feel like my sitting position is actually better now, just by default, through sitting in this chair over my old PU leather “manager” chair. The instructions were very simple to follow and I put the chair together in about 20 minutes at most without issue.
I understand that some people have said they feel the head-rest not being adjustable may be an issue for very tall people and I could see where that may be an issue but even at 6ft 4in myself, I find the chair comfortable and perfectly adjustable to get the ideal seating position and posture for working at my desk and the head-rest could just as easily be left out of the installation if you do not want to use it.
I will update this review in a few weeks once I have had a chance to really spend some time on the chair but so far it has not disappointed – a good purchase, especially for the price.
In the attached pics you will see my previous “standard office” chair which was hurting my back quite a lot, with the pillow it was manageable. I previously owned gaming chairs and wanted to go for one again, but I couldn’t find any that I know would help me with my sore back, this is when I decided to go for an ergonomic office chair
When I was 5 years old I was diagnosed with scoliosis, since then until I was about 18 I spent my childhood in medical camps, doing a lot of physio, massages and other things. It never progress past the very first mild stage. My back didn’t bother me since then, but around 23-24 years old it started giving me a hard time and, just before lockdown it started hurting really bad to the point I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t do anything, it was just sore all the time. I’ve been doing physio for a couple of weeks now and it seems to be significantly better now, but I’ve just tried this chair and the support it gives you… the comfort. Like if you have a sore back I think this is definitely a good choice
I was looking at my mates sitting at their desks for ages after work and couldn’t get why, while myself I’d move to the sofa (with my support pillow). Now I don’t want to move!!

I have beed suffering from tailbone pain since months and this chair has been amazing to help with that isue as I can’t feel any pain while sitting on it for hours.
As good as a Herman Miller but way cheaper.
Recently, the chair started creaking when being adjusted. I got in contact with the seller and they were extremely helpful; they sent me new parts for the mechanism and a two new armrests, and followed up with help on how to install it when I needed it. 5/5 for the quality of the chair and the customer service.
I was a little sceptical, but thought what the hell, I need a new chair, summers here and the mesh sounds good! The chair is easy to assemble, is very comfortable (although, did take a minute to get used too as it’s so different from the leather chair it replaced!) The chair actually “makes” you sit properley. Unlike my leather chair, where it felt like I sat on the edge, this chair I am, and able to sit with my back on the back rest! So glad I made the leap! P:S I have only had for a few days, so unsure on the logevity, but it looks like its built ok.
Although I was looking for a chair with separate recline and tilt functions, the UMI has a combined tilt and recline function which thankfully is just as comfortable has having the separate controls.
The UMI is as comfortable to sit on as the other reviewers say and it does not creak or wobble (yet!) so I am satisfied with it.
It took about 20 minutes to build and it a very heavyweight chair so it feels sturdy.
The mesh is good, the seat is comfortable and the wheels are strong.
It is ergonomic to avoid back pain and height adjustable.

So far so good, it has been a couple of weeks and the chair is not bad at all. If it had a little more fusion padding it would be great but honestly for the price it is really good value. The only thing I will point out if that the seat is pretty firm but strangely enough I don’t get a numb bum from sitting on it compared to the old gaming chair.
Another thing to point out is that in the summer I would get pretty hot and sweaty in the gaming chair whereas this should keep me nice and cool as the weather warms up.
Overall a very good chair for the price. I’ve owned it for a couple of months now and so far I haven’t had any problems with it thankfully.

I managed to get this at under 140 and it was an absolute bargain at that. Not as adjustable as some more upmarket chairs but does all the basics well.
The chair arrived quick. 7 days early in fact. In terms of comfort, its like your sitting in a hammock. Great customer service! If you email them, they are really eager to help. It’s well built and you can tell it’s good quality. The only draw back is you can’t adjust the seat depth. Not comfortable if your 6 ft 2+. Otherwise excellent.

After searching everywhere for a decent chair to support my back, honestly this is the perfect one. Working up to 12 hour shifts at home for the NHS and it’s so comfortable. So happy with the purchase, also looks smart too.
Very good quality chair, needed a new one due to the many… many hours of virtual calls due to the pandemic. I sit on it for hours and very happy with the comfort and ease to setup.
The chair was delivered ahead of time so that was pretty cool. The assembly itself was kinda annoying because all the pieces were separated and I had to put it together but once it was assembled, it was super comfortable. The wheels roll super smoothly, the bottom is cushioned really well and the back is arched nicely. Overall, this is pretty good chair.
Spent my lunch time building it up, took 40mins so not bad. A couple of words of warning, make sure to separate the screws AND washers – I didn’t realise there were 2 types of washers until the end (whoops) as of course I didn’t pay a lot of notice to the bits nor the very clear instructions. All sorted easily.
Some choice materials in a couple of ‘out of sight’ locations such as the back of the headrest where there is an optional ‘chrome look’ clip on plate, as well as the strip on the wheels with more of the ‘chrome look’ trim. It looks fine, and I understand it helps bring it to this price point, so it’s just something to note.
Other than them two small quirks, the rest of the build quality and materials used, so far, are exceptional – very heavy, sturdy, nice feel adjustable arm rests, swish looking feet, and my fav today is the adjustable lumbar support – something I haven’t had the luxury of before – which keeps me in the right position.. even when tilting.
Still early days, so will update my review if anything changes, but off to a good start!
Great chair. Took 10mins to assemble which was very straight forward process. The mesh is very comfortable and allows plenty of breathing to avoid sweat, arm rests are firm foam material which is comfy for my elbows. Overall build quality seems really good, the base seems to be solid aluminium which is a step up from my previous chair which was all plastic for about the same price.
Superbly comfortable. Ideal for the new norm of working from home. Better than my previous chair that cut into my leg and gave me circulation issues. This is perfect.
Be aware when assembling though. The arms are adjustable forward and back, so while initially might look like you have been send the wrong arm – just adjust when assembled !

I’ve knocked a star off for sturdiness – although I’m sure it will be fine for most. While comfortable, it won’t match a large upholstered office chair.
Its not perfect, but for the money you are getting a decent chair which should last a while, and is comfortable to sit on for hours on end.

I had it built in 20 mins and everything felt tight and solid.
Before receiving this chair I was using a dining chair to work from and going to this chair feels like a huge difference. Instantly could feel huge improvements and mentally it made me feel much more focussed on my work and not in constant state of fidgeting and discomfort.
The arm rests can move up and down and also twist inward and outward. The head rest is optional if you want to attach it, but I highly recommend attaching it as it feels great leaning back in this chair and the head rest is a big part of that.
The reclining feels great and doesn’t feel unsafe. I haven’t messed with the adjustment for the reclining yet.
The lumbar support feels really good, I have struggled with lower back pains before and this really does feel very supportive and perfectly placed for me, though it can also be adjusted, but the default position feels great.
My only ‘criticism’ is it would be good for the turning of the arm rests would be better if there was a locking mechanism for it as I have sometimes easily made them adjust, but its not a huge issue at all and probably just me having to adapt to the chair.
Overall, this chair is fantastic. Well packaged, easy to build and provides a lot of comfort.

my only gripe with this chair is because its mesh my back and bum get a bit chilly in the winter, but this is easily remedied by using a cushion and fleece or knock the heating up, I’m assuming this negative will be beneficial in the summer and help me stay cool? I plan on coming back to update my review after 6 months of ownership to see how its holding up as I’m known to be a bit hard in furniture lol.
Settled for this as I liked the idea of full mesh as it seems it should last longer than a cushion pad and I think this was a good call! The chair is very comfy, can happily sit in it for hours with no complaints. It feels like a good quality and it’s so nice to have the adjustable arms. I’m 5’9 and it fits well. The head rest is super comfy but do occasionally wish it was a more 90 degree design, but the angle it’s at really isn’t that bad. Everything feels very solid and I think for the price (around 140.99 with the current coupon) it’s a good chair. I also bought some memory foam arm rest pads for about 12.99 which I would also recommend. The chairs arm pads aren’t the worst but i expect they’d hurt after a little while.
Will note that a lot of the parts are quite heavy and assembly did make me break a bit of a sweat, it’s definitely doable on your own but a second person would be great. Will update on any longevity issues if I come across them!

Its a nice wide seat with wide set wheels so it feels sturdy and i dont feel like it will tip over, even when its in the best setting…its tilt mode, i really like this setting!! can lay back and the head and neck support is very comfortable so when ive been sat for a while at the work bench its nice to just be able to do that and stretch my back a bit.
I like the material its made out of, a mesh type material so its breathable and no sweaty backs or bottoms! no one likes a soggy bottom! haha

It brilliant designed to support neck, after long hours can lay back and rest my neck . Very comfortable and well supported.
Chair itself has around 26inches wide rolling wheels supportive base. Due to its wide base it’s very stable even when back tilted to its max no issue with stability.
Looks wise it looks professional and well made. Doesn’t look to plasticky and bulk as some models. Well blends with my table and rest of the furniture.
It made from breathable mash fabric , well ventilated, even after long hours of seating don’t get sweaty as on old chairs.
Came well flat packed, had to assemble myself. It came with clear step by step manual, how to put it together. Assembly took me around 5 minutes. Very easy and straight forward assembly.
It can handle quite heavy weight, as myself around 13 stones I check the max user weight after. On this one according to manual it has been tested on over 178 stones weight. So I don’t have to worry about the weight.

I had ordered this as I have previously used products from Umi and feel that they are really high quality products. I got this for my wife as she is working from home as well and is also suffering from back pain so I thought this will help her to keep her back more supported. I have personally used an ergonomic chair and found them to be a big improvement from traditional chairs.
When I got this, I noticed that the package was bit damaged from outside but it didnt look too bad. I guessed it must have got damaged in transit. After checking the contents inside, I was a bit relived as there was no damage to internal parts. I managed to assemble it the week after and it took a lot of time to assemble it. The instructions are not very clear and are some times a bit too tiny to see things clearly. All the tools required were provided inside the package but I got my electric drill driver which made it a bit faster. It still took me around an hour to fully assemble it as the pieces are quite large and I didnt have a second person to help me with lifting them.
After assembly though, the chair felt quite professional. It is really comfortable to sit on and provides really good support for your back. It felt really sturdy as well.
It does have an ergonomic shape to help support my wife’s back even when she is sitting upright which felt really good after a long time. The headrest is quite sturdy as well and can be adjusted which provides good support when I am leaning back as well.
The seat is well cushioned and feels quite premium. It is similar to the chair I had in my office and my wife has been using it for a few weeks without any issues.
We haven’t used the wheels that much but it was quite easy to move the chair from our living room to the home office due to these wheels. I have to wait and watch how sturdy they are and whether after continuous use for a few months, they still work as they are today.
Overall, I feel this is a really good ergonomic chair with premium parts and is priced quite well. It is really great if you are suffering from back pain after sitting on chair for a long time. 5 stars
This office/desk chair is really well made and I love it when I’m working at my desk, I’ve had a bad back and this helps with the adjustable lumbar support, the mesh metal frame is made to be breathable and makes it so you’re not stuck to a hot chair in the summer months.
The armrests are adjustable and with the 360-degree rotatable wheels this is suitable on hard floors and carpeted floors, I believe this is a high-end work chair to give you a lot of comfort and durability which is extremely ergonomically friendly.
Overall, high-end comfortable cair.

This is excellent value for an office chair – and comfortable with it. It’s easy to assemble, though you should sort the washers out first as there are different sizes which are relatively hard to tell apart, and feels solid and robust once complete.
The range of adjustment isn’t being tested to extremes by myself – I’m average height and bit, and it’s clearly got plenty of room for larger and taller frames – but you do need the provided tools to adjust the width of the arms.
Everything adjusts and locks easily, with a nice tilting action if you want, and the fixed headrest is well placed and supportive – arguably better than some 600 ‘ergonomic’ chairs I’ve had with adjustable ones that simply flop about and never stay in the right place.
The mesh design is less obtrusive in a home office, and it rolls easily. The arm height adjustment is simple, but this is the only thing I find irritating – the arms can be rotated slightly, locking into angled positions, and they move too easily/don’t have a lock. So when you move the chair or get out of it, the armrest top can rotate. It’s a tiny gripe – nothing to mark this excellent chair down for, but it does mean I prefer the arms on the other Umi office chair, even though this one is a fairly premium design with some excellent features.
For the cost, this is an easy five-star chair, and it should be extra-comfortable in summer compared to the typical leather-trimmed ‘executive’ chair.
Summary:
Comfortable chair that solved my lower back ache. Improved my productivity as I can now sit and work for much longer. I love the lumbar supper and that the chair can be lowered up and the tension on the tilt back can be adjusted to suit the support needed. A bit of a pain to build up — for the price, I think most, if not all of it should be delivered ready to go.

The chair is delivered in multiple boxes. The idea is that you make the chair up yourself. This wasn’t a complicated process, just a bit time-consuming. Some people might be intimidated by all the parts and screws involved. Once I got going though, it all came together well in the end. I just feel for the price, I wouldn’t usually expect to have to build up so much of it.

Once built up, the chair is fantastic. I have been working from home using kitchen chairs and my back hasn’t thanked me for it. I decided to try this chair because it had built in lumbar support — the difference has been amazing. The pain has completely gone.

The chair, being mesh design, didn’t look like it would be very comfortable — that was an incorrect assumption, as it is very comfortable. Surprisingly so.

Overall, I love this chair and it has made such a difference to my life already. I wouldn’t be without it. 5 of 5 for the end result made-up chair. I soon forgot about the hassle of building it once I started using it!
In a completely disgusting and, frankly, very off-putting touch when I opened the box for this I found a used white stretch fabric glove sitting on top of the chair components. So gross. Also raises issues about quality control checking standards. Little grubby extra in your box? No problem! It was right on top of the chair components, so I don’t see how this was missed.
Assembly was relatively easy and straightforward. The user manual includes both written and pictorial instructions, as well as diagrams showing the parts list, including fixings. There’s even a printed ruler to allow the ironmongery components to be correctly identified (although this does make an assumption that the user coming to this knows how screws are sized and that M6*16 denotes a 16mm length M6 bolt – a bit more clarity could be added here). The only tool needed to build this is an Allen key, which is supplied.
I was initially a bit put off by the mesh, which seemed quite hard and not overly attractive, but actually when this is assembled, the back is surprisingly comfortable – and the seat pad is really well-cushioned. The casters move fluidly, even over carpet and the gas lift is easy to adjust. The back has a comfortable lumbar support section, which can be adjusted for height, the back rest tilts, and the arm rests can be raised/lowered and moved forwards/back. I was particularly glad of the latter – so many desk chairs I’ve had over the years have arm rests that are so hopelessly low set they might as well not be there. The chair can be leaned back in without overbalancing the whole thing.
Assembly took me about 30 minutes and the end result is a rather good office chair. It comes with adjustable lumbar support, tilt function, height adjustment, 360 degree seat rotation and arm rest adjustment. The seat is comfortable and your body is supported by a mesh cover which enables good airflow. The armrests feature some padding but aren’t the softest.
I’ve included a number of photos as well as a little video of the chair in operation which I hope you find helpful.
My only criticisms are that there seems to be a bit of initial “play” in the base of the backrest that I couldn’t seem to eliminate no matter what I tried or tightened. This meant that if I wanted to sit upright with the backrest supporting me I couldn’t as the chair, with that “play”, has a natural lean back to it. This meant you end up sitting in a more stool like position with nothing supporting your back. That said when I did want to sit back into it, it was very supportive and comfortable.
The other thing is the lumbar support. It’s position in the backrest always seemed to lift my shirt a bit whenever I sat back into the chair no matter what height I had it set to which was annoying.
With those my only gripes, this is a good office chair, easy to assemble, very comfortable when you sit back into it (love the headrest) and constructed with premium materials.
Its a comfortable chair and well built. Didn’t take long to put together. Was also delivered on time and packaged well. I did have a small issue which was corrected promptly once I contacted the seller. Great service.
One of nicest office chairs I have used. I would not normally spend this much but I was luckily enough to review it on vine. The quality is excellent. The back of the chair is high so it supports your head, you can lean your head back and this will help with your posture if using it in the office or at the computer. The backrest curves with your sine giving you support at the bottom of your back. I felt less fatigue using this in just a few days. I loved that everything about this chair was adjustable, the arm rests, the height, the back support tilt and the gas lift system makes it easy to adjust using the levers
I did find it a bit tricky to assemble but I blame myself for not reading the instructions carefully. This is the ultimate office chair which has a premium feel to it.
This chair is extremely comfortable.The instructions are simple clear and easy to follow,I had it built within an hour.The included gloves are nice to have as sometimes working with allen keys can be a bit tough on the hands.Most should be capable of building this with little issue, especially if you have put together a office/computer past – this one is notably manageable.
The chairs breathing Mesh is really nice for extended sittings, without sponge and padding this is very comfortable – more so than the chair its replaced which had a leather finish and a sponge filling.The mesh isn’t elastic but a strong weeve with some room to absorb weight.The resting seated angle at first to me seemed a tad off, sitting back without any adjustment or unlocking the back release there is slight wiggle room and the chair has a tiny angle back to allow some regular movement – After an hour I didn’t have and issue with the little movement and now see it as a positive.The armrest adjustment options are great – with the chair close to the desk I have the armrests extended out a bit to rest my elbows and use the keyboard and mouse without having to lift my elbows.
The adjustment paddle for height and reclining was a little strange for me to work off the bat, but just because I didn’t know what to expect.Unlocking the chair by pulling the lock out lets you take it so far back to a comfortable sleeping angle, Id imagine if I were watching a movie this would be a brilliant comfortable angle .The lumbar support piece is designed well, It can be moved up or down to a position that suits different heights and body builds and its position really effects the feeling and comfort when seated so its great that its adjustable.The neck support is only really noticed when fully seated back, perhaps this is for ergonomics and back/posture health but keep in mind while typing you will need to angle back for neck wresting.
Overall I definitely can recommend this chair, It comes together with little difficulty and everything about it has been engineered well.It did take an hour or two to fully adjust to the chair but Its without a doubt worth the adjustment.I have no issues with any aspect of the chair, perhaps to nitpick I could imagine a bit of a ergonomic neck rest adjustment – even though I don’t have neck strain/pain using the chair.The chair has solid metal parts where it counts and is adjustable in almost everywhere that counts as well(other than the neck but perhaps there is ergonomic reasoning for this).
There’s no denying that this a smart looking chair.
At the time of ordering this was priced at close to 200. For that amount I felt a little unexcited once the build was complete.
The flat pack delivery came in very good condition, the instructions are a single side of A4. The build is fairly simple, even for someone that would normally shy away from self-assembly kits. Everything is provided to you including the allen keys. All the bits are there – which is more than I can say for a fair few flat pack I’ve had the privilege of working with.
It doesn’t take any more than 15 minutes to be done with this quick and simple build. I’m not sure if the following is due to it being a fairly new-to-market product. But the parts looked a bit dirty. Some of the metal parts were oily too.
The chair itself is fairly well constructed in style. It looks the business. It’s let down however, by a few things. The armrests could have been made more comfortable at this price. The hydraulic rise and drop function works smoothly. But there’s not enough ‘give’ either way. Our cheap office chair, that this one is replacing, rises higher and falls lower which we find so useful when reaching for things.
The backrest is pretty much redundant – it slides automatically into ‘recline’ whenever I want to sit back to take advantage of the vertical lumbar support. But I can’t. It turns into an unamusingly, unexpected fully reclined support.
The casters on the base are very good. Especially as we have this chair on the oak floors. They slide without a struggle and relatively silently.
It’s a good enough chair at the right price. But would I pay the current RRP for it? Probably not.

This chair is very much manger like, so sitting in it makes me feel very important 🙂
The first thing to start with, is that the chair is pretty big, so if you are buying it for your home office please be aware about this. I have a small desk on wheels without a cut for the chair, so I was worried I won’t be able to sit close to my desk, but it is not bad at all.
Putting the chair together is pretty simple and one person can do it on its own. The only hard part for me was to put the seat on the leg pole was a bit tricky as I don’t have much strength in my upper body, but I done it in sitting position.
The chair goes easily up and down, as well as it can tilt backwards and forwards. The handle that you use to put the sit up and down, you can push it in to block the back seat as otherwise it will bend pretty far backwards. I discovered it by accident as I tend not to read the instruction properly, but thankfully my flat mate made me aware how to lock it.
The lower back support is very good and fits my spine like a glove. It’s very comfortable and I can rest on it very well when I sit long hours at mu desk.
The arms of the chair can go up and down, as well as sideways. I find that function a bit annoying, but I think it’s just a matter of getting used to. I wish I could lock it somehow.
All in all I think this is an amazing chair made of very sturdy but breathable material that will last a long time.
The chair comes “flatpacked” but is very simple to assemble – intructions and diagrams are easy to follow. Once assembled, the chair looks smart and is very sturdy. The mesh seat isn’t too firm and keeps your legs, and back, cool and aerated. The lumbar support is adjustable and the chair can be reclined easily. The arm rests have a lot of adjustability and can be quickly lowered to push the chair away under a desk to make space which I find is a handy feature. Overall this is a comfy chair that is built to last.
All the parts were well protected in the box and were in perfect condition to put together, which took about 20 minutes. The supplied hex key seemed slightly bigger than it should have been – probably a slight manufacturing fault. Not a problem for me as I’ve got loads of hex keys from previous flat pack kits. It comes with one spare of every type of screw and washer, just in case, which is always helpful. The instructions were east enough to follow, though the diagrams are quite small which could be hard for some people to see clearly.
Once made, the chair is a dream. Superb castors which allow the chair to glide effortlessly around on carpet and hard floor. It’s very comfortable to sit on, and pretty much everything is adjustable to make sure that it provides the right support in the right places and suits the height, build and arm length of the person using it.
My daughter is absolutely delighted with it, and I can’t find anything to dislike about it.
This chair arrived with a slightly damaged box but the chair is so robust, it survived the journey without any damage.
The chair need quite a bit of assembly fitting castors, gas strut and attaching the arm rests, seat mechanism, back rest and the headrest but the instructions are pretty clear and even come with a ruler printed inside to identify the right size screws and washers (shims as the manual calls them).
Assembly took around 30 minutes but once put together the chair is pretty sturdy, quite wide allowing for the larger frame. The height adjust works well and the arm rests can be adjusted for height and angle. The headrest is fixed. The back rest has a built in lumbar rest and is spring loaded, the tension of which can be adjusted using the knob underneath the seat, which allows you to recline.
It’s comfortable and provides good support, seems well made. Price wise it seems on the higher side but does feel like a good quality office chair, which has a 3 year guarantee for peace of mind.
I’d certainly recommend it.

The chair is of high quality and is very ccomfortable.It was easy to put together and the instructions were clear. I had a couple of questions for the vendor and they responded immediately. The mesh seat will keep you cool in the summer and is better than a sponge seat.
