Purchased these as a present, the are really good quality and when the hand weights are screwed into the extra bar, to make the bar bell they are able to hold the weights. Good purchase
Ignore any negative reviews. I am overall very pleased with this kit. Strongly recommend wiping the steel barbell tube over with a rag moistened with clean oil when you receive it to prevent any possibility of light oxidisation. I got traces of very light oxidation on my tube after a few weeks which I polished off with Brasso Duraglit before applying a very light protective coat of oil. Kit arrived in an intact and well-packed cardboard box (well-handled by the Amazon couriers).
BIG BAD THING:
I personally don’t mind but the weights do not weigh what they are marked as (only by a few hundred grams each) but as these are my first weights I don’t mind I just want to build a bit of muscle but some people might that’s why I’ve highlighted it. However the weight of the bars and stoppers make up for the weight lost I believe. Also the weight grouping of the weights are close so it could just be my scales. As it’s costs 80 I am a bit disappointed that’s why 4 stars only.
The weights weigh: 16.236kg or 16236g
The connectors and bars weigh: 3.579kg or 3589g
So totally it weighs 19.825kg or 19825g
So overall it’s really close and considering the connector which not everyone will use weighs about 700grams it’s only about 1kg off which I’m fine with.
I can’t upload as many photos ( I did one for each separate weight) so I uploaded one per weight but I weighed everything right and all the weights where within 100grams of the marked weight.
The 2.5kg measure 14.5cm length and 2.5cm depth
The 1.25kg measure 12cm length and 2cm depth
The 0.5kg measure 9cm length and 1.5cm depth
So there surprisingly small which is good
These weights are excellent for home work outs they are very sturdy and its nice being able to adjust the weight depending on the muscle being trained and I like that you can also do barbell exercises but then take it apart so much easier to store away. It will be easier to go up in weight in the future as you can just buy iron plates the only thing I will note is trying to do barbell RDLs at shoulder width grip is difficult because the barbell is at each side in the middle so I have to do dumbbell versions for those which is fine. For barbell glute bridges the barbell pad may not fit due to what I mentioned above but I use a small pillow which first in nicely.
The product is well-built and feels like it will last a few years or more. The handle has a non-slip grip making it comfortable to use. I got the 30kg version and it exceeds my needs for now.
Weights were better than expected. Build quality was excellent. Solidly built; metal weights are much better than plastic-coated ones filled with sand/concrete and more compact. Fasteners hold the weights snugly. No funny smell, no oily coated mentioned with other product. Well worth the price.
Initially had a panick as I forgot it was missing 2.5kg plates, until I realised I bought the 20kg ones lol! However, these are perfect for what I need anyway. Great plates and the extension is a nice touch also. The build seems really good quality also!

It seems to be good overall. It would have been practical and more helpful if it came with a box (considering that these are being ordered for home gym and a box just makes sense)
Only down side I can find to these are the grips on the bars, they are really rough on the hands but other than that really good weights and would recommend to anyone.

My first time buying dumbbells for use at home and I am very pleased with the quality of these dumbbells. They are the correct weights, the barbell bar which comes with it is also very solid and can withstand the weight of the dumbbells attached to it. The locks at the end of the dumbbells screw on perfectly and do not come loose. The only reason why I gave this 4/5 was because one of my dumbbell bars was uneven however everything else about this set was perfect and this is a very high quality set. I think that the only downside to this set is that the handles of the dumbbells are a bit rough and so I bought a pair of weightlifting gloves to protect my palms from burns and blisters.

The end caps and the connecting bar all fit tightly with a low tolerance and can be easily screwd tight enough that nothing moves or wobbles. The end caps have a rubber fitting that prevents scratching the plates and also offers a snug fit, you shouldn’t find them coming loose unless you want them too.

Beginner here, weights are sturdy and easy to assemble/dissemble. Nothing bad to say about them.
Forget about the cheap rubbish and rather pay extra and buy this instead. Very well built and solid kit.
Grips and weights are quality but highlight is the linking bar which quickly and easily transforms the two dumbbells into a barbell; fabulous set, ideal for beginners and regular users.
This combo weights set has been one of my best buys on Amazon. I am super impressed with the quality & versatility of this product.
I have a small multifunction room that I want to do some fitness training in. The ability to lock the dumbbells together with the connecting bar is a fantastic space saver that means I can now have the functionality of both types of bar in my room.
I don’t think the design is unique, but the quality is what really impressed me. It is very sturdy & secure, & it wouldn’t look or feel out of place if it were to be in any decent gym.
It was a tiny bit fiddly to attach all the bars together when I had weights on both sides of the dumbbells. However, I can’t see how it could have been designed differently & it is such a minor niggle that I wouldn’t take a star off for it.
If they did want to make it any better, the only thing that would have been great would be to have some heavier weights available.
I’d highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a compact, versatile, weight training solution.

The box that came with is good for me, when I finnish my routine excersice all I need is to put them iron cast the way the were pack original and keep them safe and easy to store.

I have recently started gym and decided to get a dumbbell set for the days that I feel too lazy or do not have time to go to the gym but still want to workout.
Firstly, the weights are made with some great quality cast iron. There was no rust or chipping on the plates and I am confident that they are very durable.
The set comes with two bars and it is easy to switch between using it as a dumbbell for arm curls or as a wide bar for exercises such as squats or bench press.
The grips on the bars also make them comfortable to hold. No real complaints about them.
Overall, a quality set and good value for beginners.
This is a nice set of weights, that generally feel of outstanding quality – with a couple of points that let them down a little.
Impressive is the small box it came in, I have used my signature measuring item, a drinks coaster, to demonstrate the size.
The minor letdowns:
The insides of the weights are not as smooth as the outside and I ended up with a little metal splinter. It made it hard to get them out that way, and I wouldn’t really lift them by the inside. I did think about turning the box upside down and cutting the box open. Of course – do this carefully!
Even though the cast iron is stunning, there are places with ridges – I don’t know if it’s just this set but they didn’t feel to the standard that I believe the manufacturer would want. A little picky yes, but they are 70
When screwing one of the dumbbell pieces into the middle tube to make a barbell – wow, the squeaking noise. I hope that sound soon stops. It might not bother you, bothers me. The other side of the same bell didn’t do it.
The grip, I am personally not a fan of. Although I understand from the description there’s a specific reason around the grip, etc. This will very much be a matter of preference.
There’s no questioning this is a quality and innovative product. And if those few niggles that just stop it from feeling like a really well-rounded product were addressed, this – even with the cost – would be an easy five-star product.
In my view, it’s just shy of that, even though I think these are excellent.

Great set of weights you get 2 lots in one you can make it up into 2 dumbbells or 1 barbell.

If making a var bell you have 3 poles 2 woth handle grips which are the 2 outer bars and one for the middle to join them which is a plain metal bar.
They 3 bars just screw together then you add you required weights on each end and then there is a screw cap to keep the weights in place.
The dumbbells can be made up using the 2 bars with handle grips on you just add the weights to each side of 5he handle then use the screw caps to keep the Wight in place
Make sure you screw the cap on tight so the weights aren’t loose and move around.
This is a very easy set to use so simple to put together basic but effective. Smaller weights to start off small and can build up to the larger weights in time.
The grip on the handle is compdotable to hold none slip it’s all wipe clean I just use a damp cloth and a dry towel if needs a clean down after a work out.
Breaks down small for easy storage when not in use.

If you are a little short on space then this dumbbell set from Amonax could be ideal.
The weights are made of cast iron, feel well made with no rough edges and are far better than the plastic ones. The dumbbell bars are made of stainless steel and have a nice rubberised grip on them which is comfortable to hold and also helps to prevent them from slipping in your hand. The weights are held on via stainless steel spinlock nuts, which feel pretty smooth when screwing them on and they also have a nice rubber washer, which helps to grip the side of the weight to prevent it unscrewing by itself.
You also receive a handy little extension bar which has a screw thread at either end, allowing you to screw the dumbbells onto it, turning it into a set of bar bells.

I really like the design of this product from Amonax. We only have a small house, so being able to turn the dumbells into a barbell by simply adding a screw on extension is really handy and saves a lot of storage space.
The bars and weights all seem to be of good quality and I like the non-slip grips.
The description mentions that you get an included workout guide, but there was no paperwork or guide included in my box.
I think value for money is pretty good for a cast iron set of weights, although I have noticed a couple of identical sets which also include a hard plastic storage case for a little less money and if I were buying a set, I would choose the one with the case over this.
This set of 20kg weights is a perfect starting point for beginners looking to strengthen themselves at home. They come surprisingly well packaged for a set of weights, inside the iron plates protected in a hard foam packaging which protects everything in shipment. In the box you get 4 x 2.5kg plates, 4x 1.25kg plates, 4 x 0.5kg plates, 2 x dumbbell bars, 4x spin-lock collars and 1x chrome barbell connector. The cast iron plates feel of good quality and are painted nicely, they also have a shiny coating applied to them and feel a lot smoother to touch than my other plates.
The dumbbell bars have grips attached to them that make them comfortable to hold, so you won’t need to buy a set of weightlifting gloves to use these (unless you want to). The barbell connector is a really smart addition, it lets you screw in the dumbbell bars and convert it into a barbell which I think is really innovative and great if you’re short on space. The only downside to this approach is that you are limited with how many plates you can put on the bar, but as a starter kit I’d say this wouldn’t be much of a concern. This barbell will let you put on all the plates and give you more workout choices for your routine rather than just using dumbbells alone.
Overall, for a beginner this is an ideal set of weights, and once you get stronger and the weight starts becoming easy to lift you can easily order some 5kg plates since these are widely compatible. Thank you for reading my review, if you found it helpful let me know below!
This set, whilst slightly pricier than a few other similar dumbbell kits is good quality, is well finished, look nice and are easy to use.
The set arrives in a box packed with polystyrene. To get at the bars, you have to remove the 2.5 and 1.25 kg plates, then the polystyrene insert can be removed.
The bars are chromed, with a hard rubber handle, which will keep the chill off, on cold mornings.
The plates themselves are painted grey, and have a shiny coating (until chipped, I guess) which look smart; and are secured with collars which screw onto the bar ends – these are relatively slim, compared to other sets, but have a continuous thread to secure the weights – an inferior set that I have has a longer collar sleeve, which has fewer metal threads, but a piece of plastic tubing as a spacer; this is a nice detail where they have not cut material and manufacturing costs for safety.
In use they’re solid – the plates do not move when secured.
I tried the centre barbell attachment, which attaches to the dumbbell bar threads and secures with a grub screw – I’m not sure of how strong this would be if you added more weights, especially if you wanted to do heavier barbell work, but for the 20kg supplied they will be fine.
In all, a good quality starter set.

I was actually surprised that this package was so small when it arrived and had to check what I’d ordered before opening.
This item is really well packaged and nicely presented. The weights are solid, not filled and the dumbell handles screw into a centre bar to create the bar bell which is a really good space saving idea.
My package didn’t come with the user/workout guide and the dumbell handles could be more moulded for better comfort although they are anchored in the centre of the bar to avoid play in the weights and unbalancing during use.
Other than that this appears to be a quality hard wearing product.
This is a really good versatile set of weights, enabling a range of loading so many people can use them or you can work their way up to heavier weights.
My husband used to have a lot of weights but he got rid of them some time ago because they took up so much room, but with these, they all can be easily dismantled and put back in the box when the workout is finished. He’s monopolised these since they’ve arrived!
The weights are assembled into either a pair of dumbells or a barbell and weights are added or removed depending on the amount you want to lift, meaning they’re suitable for beginners or other members of the family (like me).
The cast iron weights in the set are: 4 x 2.5kg, 4 x 1.25kg and 4 x 0.5kg. There’s 2 short bars, each with comfortable and non-slip cushioned grip pads and 4 collars to secure the weights.
The short bars make the pair dumbells or you can screw on the extension in the middle of the two shorts which creates the barbell. There’s no slipping of the weights either. The whole lot can be taken apart quickly once finished and put back in the box- no storage nightmares! I think there was supposed to be a manual included with exercises but I can’t find it. It might be downloadable, but that makes little difference.

Very impressive set of dumbbells. You get 2 dumbbells with 10kg of weight on them (3 separate weights on each side so you can adjust the weight as necessary), and you get a weird joiner thing so you can change the 2 dumbbells into 1 barbell.
The handgrips on them are a nice smooth plastic, not slippy but just stops your hands from scratching up while you are working with them. The locks on the end, to hold the weights on, secure quite firmly and don’t come loose while you are doing curls (something that has happened on other weights I have used in the past).
Even the joiner bit seems solid, and once you have screwed it together it works perfectly adequately for a lightweight barbell. I can’t really see too many people using it, but it is a nice addition.
Overall, I am very impressed with these weights, and for a relative lightweight like me this is all the weight I will need.
These arrived well-packed in a single box (though using expanded polystyrene – not very green…), and are very easy to set up for whatever weight you need – there are 4 x 2.5kg, 4 x 1.25kg and 4 x 0.5kg, so can be put together in a very wide range of combinations.
The locknuts are good, and cleverly include a rubber washer on the inner surface that grips against the weight disc when the locknut is tightened – this should prevent the nuts from loosening and is a more elegant solution to the issue that some I’ve seen.
Size-wise, these are great – they are much more compact than the plastic coasted cement cheap weights I’ve had for years (see attached photo for a size comparison of the same 7.5kg weight!)
The one aspect I’m slightly concerned about is the screw-on bar to convert from dumbbells to barbell. Although the thread fits securely, basic physics says that if you have weight further away from a potential point of weakness (a longer lever), the more the potential for failure. However, I suspect I’ll only ever be using these as dumbbells anyway.

The iron rod is adjustable and can be easily extended.
Due to 3-pieces iron rod, weights can be attached in different rod length and combinations. So, the weight set is even suitable for beginners.
Easy to switch weight amount on the rod. Came with 4 pieces of 2.5 kg, 4 pieces of 1.25 kg, 4 pieces of 0.5kg. Thus, a good combination of weights can be put on the rod based on our requirements.

There are four spin lock collars which secure the weights. The dumbbells can be connected to the dumbbell connector for a short bar bell. The grips on the dumbbells are good as my hands don’t slip.
Overall, this is great quality dumbbell set. Ideal for beginners such as myself and my hubby to tone up. Easy to use, simple to set up and can be stored stored away under the bed or in the box.

The weight plates are made from cast iron, which is an extremely hard iron and carbon alloy. This means it’s durable and the weights all look great. They are smooth with the amount of weight labelled on them. I haven’t had any issues with them chipping. Similarly, the dumbbell bars, connector bar and spinlocks all feel durable and well made.
Putting everything together is simple. You grab a dumbbell handle, slide on the weights you want and then cap each end with a spinlock. In this configuration you can do barbell exercises such as shoulder presses or curls or lateral raises, etc. Then, should you wish to use your weights as a barbell, you simply screw the connector bar into one of the dumbbells and then screw the remaining dumbbell into the connector bar. The barbell is now set up and perfect for narrow or wide grip curls, raises, squats, rows, etc.
The only real downside of this type of barbell is that certain grips won’t be available and because you have the weights around the shoulder area, you won’t be able to do certain exercises such as full range of motion presses as the plates will hit your chest early.
Overall, this is a really good quality and versatile set. By having the connector bar, you have both the ability to do single arm exercises and two arm exercises, which opens things up considerably.

Easy to switch between weight amounts and from barbell to dumbells, so it’s very versatile for whatever exercise you’re planning to do on the day. Max weight you can fit on a single dumbell is 15KG(pictured)
If you have spare weight discs they’ll probably fit on these too as I used another brand’s discs as well as these ones to take it up to 20KG on the one dumbell and it wasn’t an issue getting them on and off which is a bonus.
The dumbells are fitted with firm rubber grips which are comfortable and don’t feel slippery when my hands get sweaty.

There is a middle part that enables you to screw lock the dumbells into a Barbell, allowing for a greater range of exercises for you to work on. A nice addition.
You can tell this will last you a few reps, the quality is great because usually you get a metal handle on the centre but this is like a mix between rubber and a high quality plastic.
Before when using the metal type I’ve actually cut my hand open, which isn’t very motivating at all.
The thickness of the grip is easy going on the joints, it doesn’t feel like it’s pressing into the hands, which allows for those extra reps and sets, meaning quicker progression.
The weights themselves have a strong lacquer coating on them, allowing for quicker loading and therefore lifting, again adding durability and saving you time.
The locks stay in place. I’ve used these for cross-fit training with a lot of reps and sets and the locks didn’t move at all, which is a bonus!
A definite 10 out of 10, highly recommend!

This cast Iron 20KG Dumbbell set arrives packaged very well and safely. It’s a heavy item and the box is well supported to avoid it opening during transit. Inside you’ll find the styrofoam packaging housing the weights in a very well packed order. All items were protected and free from damage.

The weights are cast iron and very high quality. No loose or sharp/exposed edges, fully smoothed and rounded to ease with picking up each one and a central hole cut out to slot onto the bar.
The bar itself is strong and the 2 dumbbell bars can screw into the silver metal bar allowing you to make a long bar. This means packaging the product down is very easy as you just unscrew, using less space than required to store safely.
The clips screw on to keep the weights in place. It can be a pain to screw on and off but this is the safest way to prevent injury or weights slipping.
Dumbbells are comfortable t hold with the padded grip and you can make out each one for a total of 8.5KG + the weight of the dumbbell bar.
Perfect for heavy rep exercises and multiple home workouts.
At 80.00 this is a little pricey, compared to other sets on here, however, these are cast iron weights as opposed to the cheaper products available. A good quality set made to last.
