I like the video quality, especially the daylight ones. I don’t like the battery life, I had to buy set of four solar panel chargers on AliExpress, which have cured my problem.
I don’t have any dislikes. The product is well made, easy to set up and works efficiently.
Lieferung erfolgte ziemlich schnell .
ansonsten durchaus empfehlenswert.
These cover our gardens and windows. We have been able to access these on holiday half way round the world. Picture quality is excellent. Easy to set up and install. Instructions are simple to follow.
I’ve been using Moobox cameras and got totally fed up having to charge the cameras every few days. The Arlo 3 pro system is far superior in terms of image quality and motion detection.
The moobox cameras also kept dropping off the network, no such problems with Arlo.
The only thing which can be muted is the beeping when it detects movement.

Hab’s am Prime day fr 500 gekauft ..zum Glck nich fr das ganze ..da ich doch etwas enttuscht bin im nachgang wusste nicht das man ein monatliche Abo abschlieen muss das die Dinger weiter funktionieren..also 8,50 im Monat is schon hart aufs Jahr gerechne
We installed this system a couple of months ago so I’m able to comment fully on performance, setup and battery life.
The pack contains two units and two mounts. One mount is screwed to a wall, and we used that over the front door since the unit screws in, making it a little harder for someone to steal it. The other mount is magnetic and, once attached, you can then snap the unit in place and it’s held rigidly in place.
As for the units themselves, they’re charged up using a magnetic clasp that fits to the bottom. Each unit includes an internal, removable battery and is easy to assemble. I charged each one up, just to be sure the batteries were at maximum before installing.
The cameras are set up and controlled through the Arlo app which walks the user through the entire process. If, like me, you have a Eero wifi system, you’ll need to put it into 2.4Ghz mode temporarily to get the Arlo to recognise the network. Other than this, it was pretty straightforward, though I had to reset each of them by removing and re-inserting the battery during the process.
The product comes with a three month free trial of Arlo Secure which, after the trial is up, is 2.79 a month for a single camera. Sadly, without a subscription, you lose cloud video recording which robs the units of their main purpose. So, that’s a 5.50 commitment after splashing out a significant sum on the hardware in the first place. This is a recent change, I understand, and an unwelcome one.
The app itself works well and makes good use of the Arlo’s ability to distinguish between animals, objects and humans. You can instruct your Arlo to ignore, for example, cats, to reduce the false triggers. It’s pretty responsive, and you can use it to speak to people outside. Each unit has a spotlight that you can choose to disable if it’s not needed.
After two months, both cameras had around 55% battery life remaining, having been moderately active. So, for us, the claimed six month battery life is unlikely to be achieved. This isn’t a problem in our case as the cameras are easy to access, but if they were mounted out of reach it’d be a major inconvenience.
Overall, this is a premium product that looks as though it’ll last over the long term supported by an excellent app.

These are the fanciest cameras I have had- and I have had several mid range ones of varying quality. Is the extra cost worth it?
Well, they arrived very well packaged, with UK and American adapters. Very easy to download the app, and to install the batteries. One camera fixing is the traditional ‘ ball and socket’ and the other is a magnetic cradle. Both work well, but the ‘ball and socket’ one was a little difficult to tighten at first.
Next, no paper instructions included. I know you can download info, or Google a problem, but it is a nice touch I always think!
The on screen app instructions were very clear though. As per usual, the camera works on 2.4 Ghz WiFi so if you have other speeds available, make sure you are on this before you begin to try pairing. The first camera paired really easily, the second took at bit more faffing, but was still quicker than others I have used.
Next big surprise- you need to subscribe to the Arlo site to unlock all the features- the first 3 months is free though, which is a good amount of time to see if you need the playback and storage functions. It does seem a lot of money to pay out, although you can purchase a hub separately for even more outlay.
Once our cameras were in place, we sat back and were very happy to see clear pictures, good colour, and a wide lens. When you zoom in, you lose very little definition which is great. You can choose which category to be notified about ‘ animal’ ‘ vehicle’ ‘person’ etc, so you don’t have to waste battery on something you don’t need. I approve of the cameras identification system!
The two way sound system is excellent, as is the terrifying siren you can choose to play, presumably to give someone the fright of their life..
Also there is a spotlight function, which can be disabled if you want- as we did with our kitchen one. The infra red works very well and picks up loads of details too.
One thing though. The first night we were puzzled to see a foggy night reported back from the outside camera picture, when it was actually a clear frosty night through the window. A bit of online reading to troubleshoot the problem revealed that as the camera was positioned under a grey piece of guttering, this was casting a shadow over the camera and creating a ‘foggy ‘ unclear picture. Earlier models of the camera had a ‘lip’ on top, and that had caused the same problem, but once we had established that and moved it to a different area, without anything directly above and over it, the picture was crystal clear again.
I am very happy with the cameras and would recommend them. 4/5 and would have been 5/5 if we had had no problems with our outdoor camera and a decent instruction booklet. A lot of money, but it is a very professional set up and excellent play back.

Costano tanto rispetto alla concorrenza. In pi alcune funzionalit sono a pagamento in abbonamento. Con tutti questi soldi speravo in un prodotto decisamente migliore.
Best smart camera available – look no further unless you want 4K. The quality is excellent and as far as I can tell, battery life is great even with the light on.
The home security market has become fairly crowded lately with endless companies popping up offering the latest and greatest in home security systems. These range from the very official looking ones with your own hard drive to store footage to cloud based ones like Arlo and Ring.
This set of 2 Arlo outdoor cameras I have found to be pretty ideal for my home needs.
In the book you get two cameras, a charger and two different mounts. One mount is the fancy low profile magnetic one and the other is your typical attachment. Both have their pros and cons but I would have like to have had two of each included in the pack. The magnetic one looks amazing when fitted and it really is pretty impressive that the camera can be held up solely by magnetism. The only downside to this of course is that if you don’t place it high enough out of reach then it could easily be stolen. The other attachment screws into the back of the camera and could also be easily stolen but it would take longer. Fitting the mounts takes no longer than 2 minutes.
Setting the cameras up via the app is a fairly quick and painless process involving QR codes and then you are good to go.
The video quality is really good. The audio is so so but that’s to be expected from these types of cameras. You can set your detection zones for the camera in the app and you have a lot of customisation available. The cameras also have the ability to distinguish whether it’s a person or an animal that’s triggered the alert and it will include that in the text which is a nice bonus. It can also identify parcels/packages which is also very handy.
The delay from camera to app is a bit longer than I would like. At best it’s about 5 seconds but I have seen it go beyond 10 seconds which can be less than ideal when trying to communicate with the person at your door. On the plus side the connection is very stable. I have had issues in the past with other brands not being able to sustain a stable network connection due to distance from my router but these have been very impressive in that area.
The night vision is also really good and you have the option of alternating between night vision or using the light on the camera to illuminate. The light is particularly useful as it’s very bright and acts as security light when detecting movement.
The best thing about the cameras is that they are battery operated via rechargeable batteries. Charging them is really easy and straightforward. Arlo state up to 6 months battery life and while I imagine that is probably a bit lofty I can definitely see them lasting a good number of months between charges.

Buona qualit dell’immagine. Troppo costose, Da comprare solo se in super offerta.
Very robust and easy to to set up and install and the results are stunning and we feel safe. The rechargeable batteries are easy to deal with, the weather proof covers are superb and signing up to cloud recording gives you full effect with the lights and emergency siren on the cameras should you need it. The base station is compact and easy to pair with the router and we are delighted

This double camera kit comes in a really nicely designed box and everything is presented beautifully and everything is easy to access. Inside the box you get the two cameras, two batteries, an adjustable wall mount, a magnetic wall mount, hardware for both mounts and a charging cable with three pins and two pin plugs.
The mounts are more than adequate for holding the cameras in locations that cannot be easily accessed by someone, but they both suffer from the same issue, they are exceedingly easy to unmount the cameras from. So if you place these where someone can just unscrew or with the magnet mount literally just grab it off it, then you need to mount these in a place where they are safe from easy access. Sure the cameras will record the person messing with them, but that won’t help you get the 200 camera back if they walk off with it unless they’re unmasked, or you happen to know who it is. So to keep your investment in these cameras safer, you’ll have to place them out of reach to reduce the chances of a crime of opportunity happening and losing one or both of the camera units. This obviously will make it more tedious to charge them, but the battery life so far has been superb, I can easily see the battery lasting 3-6 months depending on the frequency of motion detection and how often you check the live feed.
The next issue I personally have is that the cameras don’t actually have any onboard storage or the option to add an SD card at all. Though, in the scenario where someone does steal one of your cameras, this can be a good thing as it will mean that they don’t have access to the video that is stored on the device. The bad part is that if you don’t want to pay monthly for a subscription which is 8.99 for arlo secure unlimited the cameras are essentially bricked unless you purchase a compatible arlo base station which will allow you to have local video storage on your home Wi-Fi. Even with this subscription plan, you only receive 30 days worth of cloud storage time for each clip, so you can’t go back further than that unless you’ve manually downloaded and archived the clips yourself from the app or portal. Though, even with the arlo base station you will lose out on few of the AI driven features.
So if you are going to be buying these cameras and are against being tied into a subscription then this brand may not be for you, I personally don’t mind having the limited functionality with the base station so in the long term once my 3-month trial has ended I’ll be looking to purchase a base station and a suitable storage medium. Which adds a significant cost onto the top of an already expensive product.
To put the subscription costs into perspective, the base station costs 108 currently and a generously sized microSD at 512gb is going to cost another 50 or so. The monthly subscription if you have more than one camera, which you will if you purchase this set, is 8.99 a month, so in just 15 months you’ve spent the same amount on the cloud subscription plan. To me, it feels like a bit of a no-brainer getting the base station, but situations and acceptance of yet another subscription service will vary from person to person. Depending on which base station you get you can also use an USB device like a portable HDD or SSD as a storage device which could cut costs down if you happen to already own one you could dedicate to the task of storing local footage.
There is also the additional cost if you need to invest into additional mounting options, as you only receive one magnetic and one adjustable indoor/outdoor mount in the set.
So that’s the negatives and reservations out of the way, and essentially everything else is fantastic with this product. They have great Wi-Fi connectivity and the setup process is basically as easy as can be with the app installed on an android or iOS device. There is also a web portal which allows you to set up devices and access the footage on your cloud storage and check the cameras live, which is a welcome addition as many are only usable through smart devices like mobile phones and tablets. Though, if you want to watch the clips on PC you may need to download them and watch them locally rather than from the web portal itself which can be a bit tedious if you are slogging through a bunch of clips to find something.
When you need to charge these you need to take the camera down and bring it indoors and use the provided magnetic charging cable to charge them from either the provided wall plug or any 5V 2amp USB port you have around the home, even in a pinch you could charge them using a powerbank.
The picture quality is fantastic at all times throughout the entire day from morning to evening, you can easily keep track of important locations and have automatic motion-detection which will keep recorded video snapshots of the event either on the cloud if you are using the subscription service or on your local storage hardware via a base station purchased separately. The audio system is decent, the speaker is a little quiet in my opinion when you activate the siren mode, which kinda defeats the point. However, you can easily hold a conversation through the devices if you want to make use of it as an intercom.
The cloud portal or app gives you a lot of control and settings over the cameras, and I am confident in saying that you can fully control essentially anything you would ever want or need through the provided menus. You can set up zone motion detection, push and text notifications, automatic siren control, two-way communication, device sharing to other accounts and even little things like turning off the spotlight or status LEDs to allow the camera to be much more unnoticeable.
The weather sealing on the cameras has been flawless as they are built very well and no real water ingress points other than the front of the unit which is not only sealed with a tight fitment between the body and the camera insert but also a rubber o-ring. I haven’t had any issues with the weather and these cameras at all and don’t expect too honestly.
I’ve had no issues with losing connectivity or anything with the Wi-Fi, though both of mine are installed relatively close to my home router at the moment, but it has no issues going through the brick walls to reach them. You do unfortunately have to use 2.4ghz with them, and I’m unsure how they would handle routers that run both 2.4 and 5 on the same SSID as I have my home network separated for other IoT devices that require it.
To finish, and I do apologise for the very lengthy review, but I wanted to give a thorough explanation of what to expect if you buy into the Arlo ecosystem of products. You will need to consider and factor in the costs of a subscription or base station with a microSD card or USB HDD and whatever additional mounts you may need to suit the environment you want to use it with.
My issues stem mostly from the ecosystem rather than the individual products as from my limited exposure to their products. From my experience so far with these two cameras the product itself is really well-made, but you are paying a significant price for that quality and either a recurring subscription or another 100+ purchase on top of that to allow you to even use the camera in the most basic capacity after the first 3-month trial.

Impressive little setup, with little being the appropriate summary. Firstly, what’s in the professionally packaged box is
– 2 white Arlo Pro 4 CCTV cameras
– 2 rechargeable batteries
– USB A plug with 3 pin and 2 pin plug attachments
– USB A CCTV camera magnetic charging lead
– 2 different camera mounts – one wall, one magnetic
– Screws and rawl plugs
– Very basic Instructions, plus one Arlo sticker
First things first, the CCTV cameras are much smaller than I had originally anticipated. Each camera measures c.9cm x 8cm x 5.5cm and weighing 225g (without the battery). Size and weight considering, each still feels like a substantial piece of kit. Compact and elegant CCTV cameras bringing with them the latest technology.
Fitting the battery is straight forward, simply press the small button at the base of the camera and the black central unit slides out from the white casing. Fit the battery and reseal the unit by sliding the 2 pieces back into one another.
Initially, I charged the batteries using the charger provided and secondly, downloaded the ‘Arlo’ app from the App Store.
Linking the cameras was very straight forward once login details have been input. Also, you use the app to scan the barcode on the camera for setup. Generally I followed the setup instructions and it proved straightforward.
Unsurprisingly, camera quality is excellent, irrespective of day or night. 2K video imaging detects facial features clearly, passing cats too. Clever little devices that also have an auto tracking feature. Furthermore, you can also enable the two-way audio, hear your guest and speak back to them. 160 field of vision is not to be sniffed at either and neither is the effective integrated spotlight.
The app is packed with features too – resolution adjustment, zoom, length of time the light should remain on, sensitivity, add family members etc etc. Sensitivity adjustment is my most important one as there are a number of cars that drive along my road and I don’t want the CCTV activated with every passing car. Furthermore, too much activity will drain the battery faster. Battery should last up to 6 months, naturally subject to usage. The app can also be used remotely too.
It’s not all good news though, at least not for me
Only one 3 holed wall mount was supplied. Whilst the magnetic mount is very powerful, I don’t think it’s suited for outdoors and that’s where I want both cameras, so I have to purchase one more wall mount.
Also, after setup and activation, I activated the free trial. It’s optional and if you change your mind it’s easy enough to cancel. After the 3 month trial you will be invited to pay a monthly charge of 2.79 for a single camera or 8.99 for a multi camera set up. The other option is to purchase a hub and SD card but that will set you back around 150.
A subscription of some sorts will be required to be able to access 30 days of recordings, cloud based. Without it, you only have access to live footage, which may be enough for some.
Overall though, and so far, I have encountered no issues with the Arlo Pro 4 usage. In fact, I like these CCTV cameras a lot. They’re very effective and useful. Pictures are clear and sound quality is good too. Every aspect of this device works extremely well. It’s very easy to recommend these for anyone looking to add external CCTV cameras.
It was very tempting to deduct one star because of the subscription model, I think the subscription for having more than one camera is very expensive and isn’t made clear at the outset. But, for those that are happy paying the subscription, or plan to purchase a base, I’m sure you will have a great deal of satisfaction from these. Not sure they can be much bettered. 4k perhaps, but 2k works well enough for my purposes.
I am impressed with the smart features of Arlo Pro 4 security cameras.
Setting up the cameras cannot be any easier. I first downloaded the Arlo app from the app store onto my Android phone. After I registered for a new user account on the app, I managed to set up the two cameras in under half an hour with my home WIFI and activated the 3 months free trial of Arlo Secure service plan which is essential for getting the full experience. After the trial period ends, it would cost me 8.99 per month. I can add as many additional security cameras to the same plan.
I installed one security camera at the front of the house and the other one at the back in hard-to-reach locations with the help of a ladder. The Arlo app on my phone also showed me the signal strength of my home WIFI signal in the area where I wanted to install the security cameras to ensure a uninterrupted wireless connection; Arlo says their camera has a maximum line of sight range of 300 feet from a WIFI router.
The kit came with two wall mounts and one of them is magnetic. Once the wall mount was fixed to a flat surface. I can easily adjust the camera’s angle in an instant without the use of additional tools.
In addition to the Arlo app on my phone, I can choose to control the security cameras, manage and view the video footages by logging onto the Arlo web portal called “my Arlo” on my home computer.
New footages are available for 30 days on the web portal, unless I download them onto my computer.
The footages are grouped by day. The footages on the web portal are laid out as thumbnail images.
The day or night footages are very clear, sharp and in vivid colours.
The Arlo app has so many smart features: one of them being the notification function; I can ask for instant notifications when people, animal, or vehicle is detected. I can choose to turn on the camera’s spotlight automatically when movement is detected.
With Arlo camera’s two-way communication feature, I no longer have to deal with door to door cold callers at my front door, but inside the comfort of my own home and behind closed door.
Wild foxes frequently visit my back garden and sometimes use the place as their toilet, with the footages captured with the Arlo cameras which track their movement and frequency of their visit, I hope to figure out a way to stop them coming into my back garden.
I am currently considering getting the Arlo Solar Panel charger for each camera, so I don’t have to recharge the camera’s removeable battery every six months.
I would commend this pack of 2 (Arlo Pro 4 security cameras) to you. 5 stars.
Die Cameras haben was. Schnes gutes Bild.
