The instructions are very clear and after trying a few different locations we found we get strong images of garden wildlife, day and night. It’s well made, robust and good value.

Bought this to replace an old failed cameraI I had for many years. This does the jobevery well and is easy to set up. Battery life seems ok for what I use it for and the results even at a standard resolution are very good.

Had thought about getting one for years. Very pleased with this. Close up shots and videos. Night time feeding foxes on the lawn – never thought there would be two of them. Glad we finally bought one. this seems reasonable value.

Thought I would try one of the budget level cameras and was not disapointed. It was delivered with usual Amazon next day speed, easy to set up with some excellent clear video clips, comparing well with top end camera results.
However after about 4 months over the winter we noticed that condensation was forming on the lense fogging the videos. Reporting this to the suppliers they offered and dispatched a replacement straight away, unfortunately it got lost in transit, but another camera was sent and received the following day. Full marks to the supplier.
Having now set up I hope that the condensation problem does not repeat.

I really like this camera, the video is very clear and the detectors pick up movement very well.
Unfortunately, the microphone might as well be non-existent for all the sound we get. If we’re lucky we can hear wind but I am very disappointed that I can’t hear the noises that hedgehogs make. It doesn’t even pick up my voice when I speak just a few feet away. Otherwise I recommend it.

My kids loved the camera taking pictures for the creatures that come to my garden and recording videos of them ,so for the battery You can reduce the video length or video times to save electricity.
You can also use the adapter replace the batteries.i hope my review helps.

I had to purchase quite a few of these over the past year due to animals getting a bit wild on my allotment and this one is up there with one of the best ones. The night clarity is fantastic and quite simple to set up. Really impressed with it for the price.

This camera is easy to set up and use. My younger teenage daughter has enjoyed setting it up and catching photos of the small birds in the garden, including using the provided strap to secure the camera to a wooden post to capture birds on the bird table. The images are very clear. We found it easiest to download the images to the laptop to view, which is straightforward. The camera comes with a 32 mb SD card which is handy. You do need to provide your own batteries (8) but the battery life lasts for a long time.

I bought this to watch wildlife in the garden.
It was easy to set up with clear step by step instructions (paper manual with print large enough to read without a magnifying glass).
Once in place it captured very clear images which I could review on my laptop. It confirmed my suspicions that at present the only overnight visitors are cats coming to check if we have put out food for the hedgehogs who visited in warmer weathe

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersEverything we need is included in this kit, including an 32MB memory card, but we do need to have 8 x AA batteries. I’m using Alkaline batteries at the moment, but they do get used up quickly, so I’ve ordered some rechargeable batteries.
The enclosed manual makes the setting up simple, with easy to follow instructions; but basically it is just add batteries, insert memory card, switch on, and attach the camera to either a tree or wall; strap, and mount are provided.
I have attached a few photos of what I have captured so far; the black and white images taken at night; the colour images during the day. One clearly is my cat who is extra cautious, but still wasn’t aware she was being watched. I had attached the camera to a tree near ground level; I suppose if I want more interesting small birds it will have to be at bird table level. Like everyone we have had plenty of rain in recent days, so I am confident this camera can withstand all conditions. It feels like a good solid construction, with a tightly fitting back, keeping everything inside watertight.
The camera is motion activated, so thankfully not running continuously, so all the images have some sign of movement on them; not expected any large animals in the garden but I would expect to get some squirrel movement eventually.
There is a variety of different settings, which I haven’t played around with yet. To view the camera can just be plugged into my PC or laptop to download all images, and empty the card before setting up again. Even to a novice like myself, this wildlife camera is easy to use; offering an insight to the night, and day visitors to my garden; very pleased with what I have got so far.

Easy to set up, some amazing results

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI bought this camera to replace a Bushnell whose internal display screen had failed after about 12 years.

I carefully went through the reviews for a number of wildlife cameras and selected this one based on positive customer reviews regarding picture quality and customer support.

The first camera I received displayed the unsteady image on the internal display that others had mentioned, although the recorded image when played back on my laptop was very good.

As advised, I contacted the company to report this and was very pleased to note that the customer support, commented on by other buyers, was absolutely brilliant. This was in the week before Christmas but within 3 days I received a free of charge replacement, and this works perfectly.

I have seldom come across a company that gives such prompt and helpful customer support in all my 60 years of doing business! Thank you Ro, and the delivery man who turned up when our roads were so snowed up and icy we couldn’t leave our house. Brilliant!!

On the subject of battery life. The large array of IR leds are bound to make a heavy demand on the batteries, so it is not surprising that night time recordings drain AA batteries quickly. Where possible use a 6V dc power supply that is well filtered to ensure no high voltage spikes are present in the supply, or buy a 6V lead acid accumulator battery, and use that as a rechargeable supply. It will last for a long time and save a lot of money in the long run!

Can’t comment on longevity of the product, but the construction seems quite as good if not better than my previous camera. Additionally it is great that when using a plug in dc supply the camera can be opened to retrieve the SD card without having to unplug the supply first.

Bought as a present for my friend who wanted to capture her spikey friends along the Hedghog highway.
Takes crisp clear images..had few issues to begin with. Possible teething probs. Battery life. However in the main. Great product. Fantastic customer service received replacement camera no questions asked.
    Thank you. Would recommend..cheers

This is a great gadget for capturing garden wildlife or even camping trips. A 32gb SD memory card is also included within the price. A strap to help tie the camera up or if you go camping can use to tie it to yourself.
The camera is also water proof so no worries about it getting wet.
I have only used it indoors at the moment to check the quality and got to say it is definatly worth the price! Setting the camera was easy and quick and there is more then one setting (which is explained in the manual), better to play around and see what suits you the best.
This will be a great product to use when my daughter is on her camping trip!
Pleased with this camera, would highly recommend!!

Great Quality Camera for photos and videos!!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersTo be honest, I did not expect much from this camera given it comes in less than 80 and many times you see lot of specifications and boosted advertisements, but the product delivers not even half of that. But this camera surprised me. It was delivered as expected. When opened it, it came with almost everything you need to get going.

The manual/guide explained everything in plaint English, helpful. The 32GB SD memory card already slotted in (in case you wonder where yours is) and the options to use strap to tie around something or fix on a wall/tree with given tools are great to have. Its IP66 so not having to worry about the rain.

Setting up was easy so I was able to put it to test quickly. There are many settings so you can choose what suits you best or play with some and see which works best.

I was happy to see the quality of the pictures and videos, even the night shots were amazing but felt disappointed when realised that they were not triggered with motion, instead they just took them on the interval I set.

I contacted the seller and they asked for settings of the camera which I supplied. They reviewed and sent me a replacement immediately suggesting there is nothing wrong with the settings so could be the hardware which caused the issues. Amazing. Happy face.

Now I tested the second camera as soon as it came and did it for a long period of time to ensure it meets my needs.

I am satisfied with its performance and customer service I have experienced so I am keeping it.

And yes, it takes up to eight AA batteries to rung longer but can be used with four as well. I use rechargeable ones to save money but may be in next version they can add the solar charging as an option 😉

Excellent pictures and videos plus amazing customer service for free :)

So far I’m happy with it – very good built quality and lots of customizability. I’m using it both to capture photos in my garden as well as a security camera. Comes with 32GB sd card which is probably not enough for most but these are cheap nowadays.

The Assark Wildlife camera looks very impressive and compact.. It has IP66 water protection and comes with an already inserted 32GB SD card. You need 4 x 1.5 V AA batteries. The manual is in many languages and shows all modes of the camera. You can setup whether photos or videos need be taken and in what period of time. The settings are made on the inside panel, the batteries are to be inserted on the right. Before you install the camera, however, test shots should be taken, which you can also view directly on the inside screen. It comes with straps and a bracket for easy mounting in the garden. I’m looking forward using the camera in the garden.

I’ve had many trailcams from very cheap models to expensive . I use them on my farm for wildlife and security and they need to actually work . This Assark is one of my cheapest cameras but I’m really impressed with its performance: great photos and vids and the 940Nm “black” flash (which are normally virtually useless in my experience versus the “low glow” versions) is ok. Build quality is great. Very happy with it. Will buy again.

The Assark Wildlife Camera Is great value. It can run off batteries or a transformer and produces great photographs and video in all weathers, day or night. It is simple to operate using the intuitive menu system so you can have it up and running very quickly. It’s an excellent piece of kit.

Great camera and pleased with it. I was unable to find the SD card at first as everything was wrapped individually so thought it was missing – it wasn’t! It was already inserted in the camera. Would have been better with solar power charger or internal changing. I’m not a big fan on relying on batteries. Barriers not supplied. Still pleased with the purchase and look forward to capturing nature – specially the autumnal changes.

    Great camera! Durable

Great camera for filming our hedgehog visitor.
Lots of options to alter picture and video quality etc. I have all the settings on maximum quality but to save batteries you can reduce the quality settings.
Video length and number of shots taken are user adjustable too.
Easy transfer of images direct to iPhone if you get a SD card reader.

  38. The Manual Staff says:

     United Kingdom 🇬🇧

The quality of the photo and video is excellent so far however I didnt have a manual only an A5 piece of paper listing some of the modes available. I set up as per instructions on the inside of the camera and had a go at setting up the camera. First two days during the day picks up me going to hedgehog feeder but after 11pm at night picks up nothing and I know there has been activity because bedding and feed is gone. I do have video of me putting down feed so the sensor will pick up a human. The timer is off so it shouldnt be that. Photos and video shows hedgehogs coming into their house but never leaving. Have emailed seller and Assark directly to see if they can send me a pdf or if the camera is faulty. If I dont hear back from either I will return the camera. Shame cause it seems perfect if I could get it working the way I need it and for that amount of money I would expect a proper manual in some form. Will do an update in the next few days.

UPDATE: first camera was faulty but the seller sent me a placement which I have set up and used and it is working well. It’s a nice little wildlife camera comes with a memory card which is a bonus and the quality of the video and the photos is excellent. I have to say customer service with this seller has been brilliant nothing was too much trouble. Aftercare is very important and this company go the extra mile.

Picture is clear but when things are within a foot of the camera, the picture is a little out of focus.
Sensors pick up movement from a good distance. Works well from a window as no distortion.
Easy to download from SD card and easy to format SD card.

I’m really impressed with this camera right out of the box. Build quality is very good and despite its many capabilities, the instructions and clear and make using it really simple.

I’ve attached footage from day 1 of use of my fox friend paying me a visit. Picture quality is great even at 1080p. And this camera can record at 4k.

The camera will work with just 4 AA batteries but takes 8 giving it 8 months on standby. Alternatively, a power lead can be used (not supplied).

It takes both video & photo both of which can need reviewed on the cameras screen.

Importantly this camera will take up to 512gb SD card – a must for multiple videos in 4k and not available on many other similar cameras. There’s an SD card included to get you started right away.

It also comes with mounts, brackets and straps to give you the ability to mount the camera exactly where you’d like it. Shoots day/night in a variety of settings including time lapse.

Waterproof and with a year’s guarantee. Great buy, very pleased.

I ordered the Assark Trail Camera from Amazon on A Sunday morning and it was delivered later that day, I also registered the warranty on this day and it was acknowledged early the next day in a friendly E mail. I am a keen photographer with many cameras but I have never had a trail cam. The sighting of an Otter in the river outside our rear garden prompted me to research this type of camera. I liked the specification of the Assark and considered it to be good value. I was not disappointed when I took the camera from the box, it was solid in construction and had a nicely camoflaged finish. The initial setup was easy following the simple instructions in the user guide and I was soon out mounting the camera for its first night vigil.Over the next 3 days it was in a tree, in a bush, on a riverbank and mounted on a shed with the supplied bracket. It was also out all night in heavy rain with no ill effects.
The quality of the photographs and videos are first class ( with the settings at max. resolution)
I am still after the elusive Otter but I know I have the right camera when it does appear.

I have had three other wildlife cameras in the past but this is probably one of the best. The controls are simple and easy to operate. The sensitivity of the camera and the quality of the black and white videos it takes at night are excellent. It also picks up the sound of a fox crunching food pellets put out for the hedgehogs.

Further to my previous very negative review I contacted the company and informed them of the problem. 2 days later a replacement camera arrived and is working effectively. The company have kept in touch since then.
I needed a camera which would operate effectively at about a half-metre as our hedgehog feeding station is very close to the house and this camera is perfect, taking very clear and well-focused pictures.
The only reason is is 4* instead of 5* is that the batteries are jammed in very tightly and have to be levered out with a small screwdriver. Each time I recharge the batteries I do them a little more damage. The makers are looking into this.
If this camera continues to function over a longer period I will be very happy as we are a release site for a Hedgehog Rescue Centre and it is important that we monitor the health of our local hedgehogs.

I have always wanted one of these cameras to see wildlife in the garden so I found this one. It was very well packaged and came with everything I needed to start, apart from the batteries which were not included but I has some in the house so it was not a problem.
The instruction booklet was easy to understand and follow and I easily programmed the camera using the menu function. I set the resolution to the maximum 32MP, inserted the batteries and the SD card and it was ready.
I set the camera in the garden and I soon got over 100 pictures. The resolution of the images is very good and I’m hoping to get night visitors to the garden soon
I can thoroughly recommend this camera if you are interested in wildlife

Amazing resolution, takes action shots very well, and the night time mode is clear. I placed mine in my back garden to see my dog and his hole digging activities. Got a good video of him playing.
Installation was easy, one large strap big enough to fit around a large tree trunk. I put it on my sun umbrella base. Set it to ‘on’ the screen inside turned off, and it was ready to go. It survived outside in 25 degrees centigrade full sun. The video and picture modes tells the temperature, time and date after setting it up in the menu.
It takes eight AA batteries, or a multi power adapter, neither of which are included, so it will not work right out of the box. As the camera will work on just four AA batteries, I would have expected four to have been included. Also comes with an SD card which is an added bonus.
Otherwise this is a great camera, and I would highly recommend it for all your wildlife observations.

Amazing resolution, survives heat, great motion detection & night vision.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI always wanted to buy a motion sensor camera which works during night to capture wildlife movement in my garden and i found this one. This camera supports video and photo capture at one time if it detects any motion. First it captures photo and then the video. You can set the resolution you want(please note the higher the resolution, it consumes more space and also takes time to write).

Supported photo resolution in MP 8,12,16,20 and 32. You can take photos in series(it can take up to 2 or 3 photos).

Supported video resolution : 4K(10FPS),2.7K(20FPS),1080P(30FPS),720P,WVGA.It supports maximum recording of 3-60 seconds and 3-10 mins, you can change this according to your need.

You can even record time lapse videos. Apart from that, you can set up password protection with 4 digits.

Night photos are only black and white.

I will upload the videos and photos taken at different light settings soon with diff resolution.

Pretty happy with the buy and if you are planning to buy motion detection go for it.

I have several trail cameras which give average result in terms of photo and video quality. However, this camera is a great improvement. The light range is more than adequate for our modest sized garden and it picks up the very occasional animal movement (usually a mouse) during the dark hours. The attached photos show the quality of images shot during daylight. The only reason I have given picture quality four stars is because images appear slightly over exposed and pale. This is easily cured with an editing tool in the computer’s photo storage program. The camera does run batteries down; I have it set to record between 22.30 and 07.30 which runs the batteries down from fully charged to about a quarter. Whilst the camera is not of professional wildlife filmmaker quality it is more than adequate for the garden. Recommended.

Had a problem with the camera as it was not working properly but they exchanged it and that seems to be working ok.
    Their Customer Service was excellent.

Great product and easy to set up. Night video of very good quality. Free SD card was a bonus.
Using to capture hedgehog activities for a 10 hour period through the night, every night. Batteries last about a week capturing approx 80 mins of video each night. Excellent response from the supplier and I now have a power supply set up for the camera.

I have used a trail cam in the past but the battery life and picture quality was very limited. I was very very pleasantly surprised at how easy this trail cam is to use. Battery life is very good too.

Bought it for my son, he been recently interested in animals photography. Works well, on good points, strong case, and even you can put lock. waterproof, sensor is quite sensitive so you wouldn’t miss any movements. It comes with 32 GB memory card as free, however it requires 8 x AA batteries, which is not bad as camera don’t use them until its active. Son is quite happy, keeping him busy and pictures are great quality

I’ve had a few wildlife cameras in the past and the last one I had lasted for about 4 years, but it was time to retire it, so opted for this one, why? Well it came with the 32gb SD card, which is great as after 4 years of recording on my old one I imagine that nearing the end of its life too, so saves a few quid in getting a new one.

The motion capture on this is perfect; I use this (like my old one) to monitor hedgehogs in my back garden and it manages to capture them from a good 1.5m to 2m away. The quality of the night time video is excellent, on a par if not better than my old one.

Fabulous wildlife camera for a decent price.

This is my second trail camera and it is a marked improvement. It is much easier to set up and the image quality is much better. I have set it up very close to the bird feeder and it does not scare the birds away, which is good news. It can capture birds in flight well, as can be seen in the second still photo. I suspect, by the traces on top of the camera, that it is sometimes used as a perch.
This camera will make an excellent addition to the armoury of a keen photographer.

    excellent camera

I have often thought about buying a Trailcam. I love wildlife and with a reasonable sized garden I wondered what went on at night. Also, as the camera is very portable, I will take it on holiday. The Wildlife Camera arrived quickly, well packaged and complete with all you need, except 8 AA sized batteries. The camera comes with a mounting bracket, mounting strap and USB lead. It also comes with a 32GB SD card – more than adequate for most settings. The Instruction Manual is well laid out and easy to follow. I set the camera up in about 20 minutes and was good to go. It has options for stills, video or both. Plus a timer to allow recording over specific periods. Playback of pictures is available on the camera screen or via linking to a larger screen using the SD card or USB lead. Results were pretty good. See the attached pictures and video of a hedgehog – so glad to see one of these!
Overall I am very impressed with this TrailCam and can recommend it.

I already have a trail cam on the farm to see where the rats are trying to get into the feed store area but it didn’t last. This new one is great I bumped the video right up to 4k and then changed the photos up to 20 meg.
So far it’s very impressive. Once you work out that off means off, test means you can watch the videos and open menus and the on setting gives you 15 seconds to do a runner before it starts recording. It works in the dark, has 3 movement sensors and I love it. I need 8 AA cells to make it run then it’s great, I will try the time lapse when I get time. Oh and this records sound as well. Great stuff

4k and much better than the one I had

Set my camera up at the weekend and had no idea what to expect. I live in a pretty quiet area where not much happens. Or so I thought! Turns out there’s quite the nightlife when the lights go out.

I thought there would only be shapes but I wouldn’t get to see much detail, but it’s surprisingly clear. I have had it running three nights now in different places as I get an idea where the animals are coming from. We are blessed to have a spacious garden which is an animal playground.

It’s so rewarding buying one of these! It is such a simple pleasure, one of my best and most addictive purchases.

The Assark wildlife camera is a high quality 4K trail camera producing 32MP images and even coming with a 32GB SD card included. The camera features 940nm IR LEDs and excellent quality night vision. It is IP66 rated so perfect for all the elements that the Scottish weather can throw at it and it has a very high video and image quality.

The camera is designed well and the controls are inside the device which is secured with a waterproof seal. With the controls there is a 2.4″ colour screen that allows you to change settings and preview contents simply and easily. The trigger speed is 0.2s so it records almost instantaneously from motion activation.

Overall the device is impressive, it comes with securing accesories and a stand and overall value for money is good.

This is my second wildlife camera. The one I bought before was out of stock so I purchased thus one after a lot of research.
The quality of the video os great, captured lots of birds on my bird table but also whilst I was out on my paddleboard, I wanted to capture jumping fish (odd I know!) I haven’t managed to see them yet but again, it has captured seagulls etc so it will work in the end.

Wanted to keep an eye on the wildlife in my paddock so decided to order this camera.

Came very well packaged and with an SD card which I didn’t realise. Added the 8 batteries and was away. I didn’t realise you had to switch it to ‘On’ to actually capture the images and had left it on setup by mistake but soon realised and left it to take some images and videos.

The motion sensitivity is adjustable so could vary between sheep coming close up or being further away but all photos and videos have been very clear.

    Very happy with the purchase.

    Great quality wildlife camera

We have had a couple of these cameras before to monitor both animal activity and activity by youngsters entering the allotments. The animal shots have ben fantastic and the security aspect very useful to approach parents with visual evidence of their youth entering the allotments. But this purchase is for the grandkids, who will get a delight from monitoring the animal activity in their back garden which otherwise would go unnoticed!

The cameras are easy to use and set up with the type of recording you require, I tend to go with Photo and following Video as I can then decide what I want to use. The allotment cameras have been in use for some years now with no problems and the battery life is good although this will depend on your operational settings. We normally do not want to pick up pictures of allotment holders so the times are set to fall outside of the normal allotment users hours.

    Basically, good trail cameras!

Very pleased with it. We have been using it for a bit of garden surveillance for my neighbours’ and our gardens. Our neighbour caught a prowler recently so we set this up for our piece of mind. It has great motion detection via it’s sensor. Captured footage is top quality – nice clarity 32MP shots, no blurriness perhaps due to the fast capture speed. It has decent range on it too. It takes 8x AA batteries (not supplied). At night also the captures are also very clear. Once we secure our garden with a fence and gate, this won’t be required but I will gift it to my neighbour who would be further interested in capturing shots of the wildlife in his garden.

    Great quality
