The sound quality of these very reasonably priced headphones is excellent and the 3.5mm jack and 6mm adapter make them ideal for use with both my laptop and stereo system. They are not too heavy, and I find them very comfortable to wear, often having them on for two hours at a time during a live streamed concert.
Got them as a gift for my boyfriend ,is always hard to find things that he can be happy with as he is a musician and he needs proper stuff I researched the web a bit and found this as being close to the best .he loves them he says is exactly what he needed plus he uses them all the time so I don’t have to keep quiet and listen to my own music .
Happy with the purchase definitely recommending
Bought these for a project home studio. Fantastic quality for mixing and tracking with, for the price they have really blown me away. I own the more expensive version at work (post production studio) and truthfully these hold up in comparisons to those.
Very nice headphones solid and nice fit
Basic sound good for if you are starting out with music production or anything sound wise
Build 10/10
Sound 7/10
Hi/lows 6/10
I used to have m50x and to be honest wish I bought m50x the sound quality is okay on M30x but if you are wanting a standard pair of mixing headphones these would be a good starter I’m gonna use them till I can save money up. definitely not up to my standards of mixing but good little pair of headphones
These headphones are amazing for the price I paid they have amazing sound quality best I’ve heard and they are amazingly comfortabl3 I’ve worn them for hours at a time and they have never become uncomfortable there light weight but feel like they are very high quality I highly recommend
Bought this for Xmas present so it’s still wrapped up
ear pads feel very cheap and uncomfortable
if you are wearing these for more than an hour at a time probably invest in some better ear pads or else pai
The sound is very clear, you can really distinguish between frequencies and sounds. Great for studio and also listening.
Love these headphones, they are honestly the best I’ve ever used however occasionally, I get a crackling sound when the wire moves. Maybe it’s just my set that are dodgy but other than that they are really good headphones
I bought this for home recording fun, good monitor headphones for both instruments and vocal replay.
Love these! Used for professional work. Noise cancellation could be better but the sound is great.
You don’t need top spec. As you get older your hearing starts to lose certain frequencies. These head phones do a good job
ot very comfortable for long periods of time, clamps on ears. I ended up replacing the padding with much softer material.
Amazing honestly , just one problem can feel too tight after long uses but that the only problem , you can play them so loud you don’t have the wear them
used for home purpose only, excellent sound qualities, very good price.
These were bought as a gift and the recipient is delighted with the enhanced sound compared to his previous headphones. The fit is good and the headphones exclude most external sounds.
I’d been looking for plug-in headphones and the reviews for these were good. I find them comfortable and that the sound quality is good all round for music listening.
Great set of headphones for the price. I’ve been using some Sony MDRs for a while, and while the bass response isn’t as loud, it’s still got a great strong tightness to it, much more suited to music production. Build feels a little flimsy, around the cups, but solid everywhere else. My mum can scream at me for days and I never hear her with this on, but when a ghost knocks on my door I hear it immediately, which is odd…
I never write a review until after 6 months usage. These so far have been good
Owned this headset for a few months and it’s still the best headset i’ve owned thus far!
I have an audio technica microphone so thought i’d treat myself to a new headset (owned astro a40’s before these) and although the astro A40’s are amazing in their own right the audio technica M30X’s surpass them in sound quality and comfort (yes they have leather cushions but that helps with the noise cancelling and doesn’t stop them being comfortable when wearing them for long periods of time!)
Overall definitely a great headset to own!
This was the best thing I ever got. Love i
Questionable build quality, thin exposed wiring from the headband to the speaker units spoils what should have been a quality headphone. Sound quality is very neutral for both highs and lows. Just a pity the build quality couldn’t have been better.
Good product for the price.
Even now, after a few years.
It’s very comfortable
The sound it’s very clear with deep bass
Very crisp clean audio, hearing noises in games that I’ve never heard, like the crunch of foliage under my feet while still bearing footfalls clearly
I find it hard to get headphones that feel well over on my head, but these are great with a good range of sound frequency I had chepare Sony ones before and didn’t notice what I was missing, these are great 100% happy
Had this headset for a few months. Great sound quality and everything. Only downside is that it is extremely uncomfortable. It is very tight. Tighter than my HyperX Cloud 2 and the pads may as well be made from steel as you have to apply a fair amount of pressure to squish it with your fingers. I dont use them much, but when I do. I struggle to wear them any longer than an hour because they hurt my ears and head. Aside from being insanely tight, their isn’t enough padding so your ears will become squished and irritated.
I am not aying you shouldn’t buy it. But just be aware of what you might be buying before you buy it. If you want comfort, these may not be the best for you
Excellent sound quality and noise cancellation. Not used for gaming so unable to rate that aspect.
Got these headphones 2 months ago, Great sound and can hear all parts/instruments of music. love them.
But no use using them to listen to modern pop rubbish as it all sounds the same (and pants) but a good album of genesis….. The lamb lies down on broadway. It sounds so good. I really do recommend this product.
Worth the 50. 🙂
cheers amazon for a bargain!
The audio technica headphones are great value for money. I bought them to replace a set of sony headphones that have been excellent but are falling apart now. The audio technica are crisp and clear. Bass is perfect for me. I use them almost exclusively for listening to music.
I bought for my DJ set, even for an entry level I’m amazed by the quality of the sound and the noise cancellation. I have a gaming headset but is not even close to the quality of this one both in sound quality and noise cancellation.
Bought fro monitoring recordings and recording with backing tracks, works well. Long cable, good sound fits over ears as needed for monitoring
The product is quite light and plastic feeling. However very comfortable on your head and the sound accuracy is excellent. Bought for listening to a guitar amp for practicing and very pleased with their performance. Would recommend for the money definitely!
I bought these to replace a different brand of headphones which had broken after just a few uses. I am a DJ and have found these audio-technica ones really good! They are fairly basic but strong and good enough sound quality for monitoring in loud settings. Good long lead and the cans fold in nicely to fit in the case that’s provided. I highly recommend these.
The sound that’s comes out of these is something else! Definitely worth a buy!
I bought these to supplement my Bose Triport wired. The sound quality is almost equal to Bose, which will always be superior but the fact that they are less than half the price you have to decide if the minimal difference is worth another 100.The build quality is top drawer but they are a little heavy for long period wear.Best value I have seen for price
sounds are detailed and clear. what more do you want?
I liked the packaging and the carry case for the product.
Bought it as a gift for my sister. She is very happy with these headphones, sound quality is amazing.
Very happy with these. I’m not a sound or headphone expert so am sure there’ll be headphones better than these but they’d probably cost a lot more, so for the price they seem great. So in the 52 price range they’re a 5* to me.
Great pair of headphones. Good for the price just overall perfect.
Well I have to take my son’s word for this and he says it’s brilliant. It must be great at noise cancelling as he now can not hear us when we shout him for food!
Item received by date specified. Construction not as robust as I would like, however it is well made. Its a little early to provide a definitive on sound quality, but initial testing would suggest these are going to be good. Not much in sound-stage imaging, but a clean, clear balanced sound from lows, mid-range and highs.
very solid, good materials.
the sound quality is very nice.
good quality/price binary
Bought for guitar practice . Great sound and a great price too .
I was absolutely blown away with the sound quality, listening to music with these is a pleasure. It’s almost like I have new ears, I’m hearing details that I’ve never heard in songs before. Excellent for mixing music, recording instruments, gaming, listening to music as a leisure activity, or simply plugging straight into a keyboard. This is a very good deal.
I have had these Same Audio-Technica ATH-M30X for almost exactly 2 years now, but they have unfortunately broken on me. Something to note is that I am very hard on my tech and headphones i normally buy last between 3 and 6 months, so these are a great, robust pair of headphones. They sound great.
What a great set of headphones. Great controlled bass and smooth treble. A real bargai
I got these headphones for the purpose of sound and music editing, for which I find them ideal. They are comfortable, have a long, very flexible lead. I got a second pair for the recording studio at my work. Robust design, but not too heavy.
Quite light and very comfortable. Very please with purchase and would definitely recommend
I am very particular when it comes to sound quality, wanting tight bass, controlled treble and natural mid tones. Basically reference sounds from speakers and headphones that are rich yet natural, with the minimum of colouration.
But of course these things can come at great cost, in fact the sky is the limit for the audiophile.
So what of these “cans”? Well my previous wired headphones, as opposed to the very popular wireless Bluetooth headphones (to which I have two very good pairs I might add), the leatherette had broken up and the foams are starting to breakdown, after 5 years. It was time to decide just to get new cushions for the Sony’s or bite the bullet and get a new set of wired headphones, and wired was important. But which Brand?
Well I liked my Sony’s but at times the wire was too short. Beats? No thank you, I have tried them and they are (for me) bass heavy and flabby at that. I am sure some like the sound from them, but not me. Personally I think you are paying a lot for the name, when there are better options at a lower price. No, lets investigate.
The sound is very natural. Well pitched mid range, a lovely tight, rich bass, no muddyness here, and clear trebles.
Various sources were used, from CD’s to Spotify and you tube etc. Not tried them on vinyl yet.
One thing to beware of though it the quality of the source, On a couple of reproduction songs the treble sounded a bit too zingy. Not the fault of the headphones, but the source itself. Try with a good source and they shine.
Example track is the very demanding “March of the Celts” by Enya, at 1 min 46 Seconds. There is is a bass note that demands perfect reproduction, and these shine with it. Not perfect but oh so close. Another track I played the quality was that good, you could hear the hand of the pianist hit the piano, something I have not heard before.
There will be better headphones out there, but from a cost point of view these get very close to perfection, nay, these have a sound quality of cans many times the cost.
If you want exceptional headphones and you are are on a budget, you really should consider these. They really are that good.
So far, very pleased with the bluetooth mp3 player. No problems with both the item and the delivery.
Bought these for my son, he loves them, I tried them and I think they sound really good.
Really good flat sound. Great with an electric drum kit. Great through an amp. To big for my phone though, don’t think there’s enough power in my phone to drive them, really quiet. Still a good sound though.
Best set of headphones i have ever had.
Sound is amazing.
They seal around the ears really well so the noise cancellation is great. i found this out when someone came up behind me and tapped me on the shoulder because i didn`t answer them.
Really good for gaming too, easy to pick out foot steps and shot direction.
Good clear sound that reflects what was produced by the artist. Makes listening to music a much better experience.
Really good sound, I use the for editing video so I’m sorry I can’t comment on the gaming sound.
I can say for editing they are a dream to use, feel really nice to wear and light sound quality is fantastic really like these headphones and they’ve been well and truly tested, very happy with them
I was gonna buy the M50 but didn’t want to spend so much money so got these instead. They are very good. The only complaint I have is the cable is a bit too long and I mostly use them on my laptop so I have a pile of cable lying next to it (better than being too short though). Maybe next time I’ll get the newer versions that come with 2 cable sizes that you can swap. The sound quality is great.
I would say this is the best set of headphones I have owned to date. They are not very expensive but the sound quality is totally awesome! Bass is punchy and brilliant, I have to say one of my best purchases this year! I listen to many genres of music and have the headphones connected to a Soundblaster Z soundcard on my PC and with slight adjustments every genre sounds amazing! Thoroughly recommend them!
Great Headphones. Great for producing and DJing. Best headphones on the market for the price.
I’ve had this headphones for more than 2 years now and they’re still working great. Good sound quality too
