Had an issue with the first one, I Emailed Gigi and she sent a brand new one out immediately and once it arrived I sent the old one back. Top class service.
I have set this up in my van to see out of the back whilst driving, Image quality is great front and back cam. Was easy to set up. I had run the cable through the roof and the heat damaged the cable (live in a hot country) they sent me new cable and rearview camera. Since no problems. Although this product wasn’t for me and I returned I found the customer service to be excellent. They replaced camera with another option for me . yet to try.
The rear camera is a chore to setup if you want to hide the wires, but it looks really good in the end. The review asked for a rating for the night vision, which is surprising considering it seems to have none. All lights at night blow out the camera. But the fish eyed lens gives superb vision during the day and can see further than my wingmirrors.
Really good camera and had it fitted easy enough. Great peace of mind for filming in front and the rear. And also the added benefit of reversing camera which works well. Really glad I bought this and am extremely pleased with it.
But what was brilliant also was the costumer service. I needed help with a couple of things with it. Firstly they were very quick to reply and also went above and beyond in help.

This system consists of a mirror/ front camera/ main unit, an integrated 12v transformer and power lead, a GPS aerial, and a small rear camera plus necessary cabling. The front camera attaches to the existing rear view mirror, and the camera is on the right hand side appropriate for RHD cars.
I got this version when I bought a cabriolet, which doesn’t have a particularly clear view through the plastic rear screen, and if anything worse once the top is down. I have mounted the rear view camera just above the number plate, and although it was fiddly, it was not that difficult to run the cabling back to the main unit. So I now have the screen display the view from the rear camera full time. The image is clear in all lights, and in fact there is less vibration visible than when the screen is turned off.
It records seperate video files for the front and rear cameras. Image quality is good, with licence plates clearly readable.
I have had a problem with the connection between rear camera and main unit, and the seller, Toshare EU have replaced it within three days of me contacting them – excellent service. New unit working fine.
Edit: Just had another message from the seller, Toshare EU, checking if things are stil OK. Very impressed with their customer service.

The quality of this unit after many months is superb. While in normal mirror mode, the reflection is perfect. The on modes are excellent too, with very clear images and recordings.
The sixth star would go to customer service, who quickly and very kindly fixed an issue I had with the product.

After a lot of searching and comparison I chose the Auto Vox V5 Mirror Dash Cam and it was the perfect choice.
It arrived quickly and was very easy to both understand and fit.
Sunlight reflection was an issue until I realised that as it is not a mirror, it is a screen the rear view mirror that it is attached to does not need to be pointing where it always was, it can be moved to the correct angle to view without any reflection.
Initially picture quality was perfect and I was very happy.
After a while the picture quality deteriorated and I suspected that moisture had got into the unit as it was positioned below the rear numberplate.
I then contacted Kacey at [email protected], a very helpful and capable employee. She took on board my problem and arranged for a replacement camera to be dispatched to me quickly and after fitting it my camera quality was back to 100%.
I believe that the moisture ingress problem has been overcome by Auto-Vox but I put a small amount of clear sealer around the wire entrance area just in case.
All in all 5 star product with 5 star service, I recommend it.
Spent a while researching what camera to get and I’m over the moon with this unit. Very easy to install. The customer services is brilliant and got back to me very quickly. Build quality is very good and the images seem clear.
This is the second vox I had , first one had for a few years with no issues, bought the v5 for my car and fitted in under 30 mins much improved from previous version , love the duel view, I have bought another and arrives today for my second car.

Picture quality is excellent and very easy to use, don’t really need any instructions just play around with it a bit, the touch screen is great and night vision very impressive. I drive with the rear display on all the time, much better rear view than a mirror. I drive a T5 campervan so mirror view often very limited, camera view much better. Really impressed with customer service, I fitted my camera about 6 month after purchasing, there was a problem with the camera I contacted Kacey at customer services and a new camera was ordered for me without any issues, I was also kept informed by Kacey of delivery times etc. Couldn’t ask for more from the customer team, very helpful, all in all a very satisfied customer.
I always find it difficult to write reviews but this deserves one, my brother recommended it, I purchased it at 10am and it arrived next day at 840am, very quick delivery. Had it installed the same day and what a great camera, easy to install, easy to use, excellent picture quality, covers a wide area – if the worst happens, the reverse light function is amazing, (put car in reverse and rear camera comes on mirror to show what’s behind), can be adjusted with a swipe down on screen to see lower down to the bumper so really see how close I am.
All of our family have these now and no issues whatsoever.

I like the picture quality most of the time, but the only drawback Ive found is that if another vehicle is following you at night, or if the low winter sun is in the rear facing picture the whole thing is whiteout with no useable picture.
I installed this in a swb van, there is plenty of wire for the reverse camera. It records front and rear cameras, but I have the display set to rear permanently. The only slight gripe I have is I can’t adjust the parking assist lines, they are fixed, so not always useful, especially if the camera is not central in the vehicle. Screen is clear, it’s nice having a rear view without the possibility of glare from a car behind. Very good product.

Had this professionally installed but still had problems occasionally with the mirror just cutting out. Car start/stop air con and other factors seemed to cause the unit to do a controlled shutdown. A message to manufacturer support resulted in a new firmware version (not on their website) installed it and it’s been perfect ever since. I didn’t get on too well with it as a reverse park camera so had a separate one installed for the kenwood stereo on the car.
This product as a dash cam and also rear cam is excellent , the video quality is amazing for the price and played back on my I pad is very good with the date and time all recoded a must if your involved in a accident, now for the big down side , the mirror also functions as a mirror when the device is turned of , so when it’s on especially on a sunny day you get half mirror/ camera and also vehicles seem twice as far away as in the conventional mirror and the quality suffers on sunny days , a good feature would be the ability to turn of the mirror, but still continue to record, as the mirror is quite functional even though it’s a dark smoke , and the finger prints show up a lot when it’s switched of
Great build quality and easy to fit. I fitted to a LWB Transit and wired in to the reversing light, all with no issues. Image quality is excellent. The only down is the GPS is around 2-3mph out (Low) no biggie because I have a speedo 😉
This product is useless on a very wet day as camera completely obscured by rain water and you have to remove the mirror to see out back window !
The original camera turned out to be faulty but Joanne from Auto vox was absolutely brilliant at looking after me and solved my problem, she was always quick to respond to my emails and that’s what I call fantastic customer service.

This camera is easy to install- mounted on your rear-view mirror, and is very secure when correctly in-place -the screen quality when having the screen on is good, but I prefer to have the screen either on driving mode, where most of it is dark except for a small indicator or have the screen powered off so I can focus on other aspects of driving. The camera quality is great and due to the rear/front combo, I’m happy that I’ll be able to use the camera footage successfully in the event it is required. I’ve not yet had to save any footage however I am confident in this unit.
I initially did have a unit which arrived with a fault, but thanks to the support of Joanne over at Auto-Vox, I managed to get a quick replacement of the unit, so all is well!

I wouldn’t normally spend this much on a dashcam but having had a couple of cheaper ones (including a similar mirror one) that had issues or failed I decided to go for a more expensive one.
This one has a very nice quality feel to it and arrived in good time and well packaged. Instruction manual is basic but all you need and there are plenty of installation videos online.
This mirror has a number of nice features including :
Nice clear image and it doesn’t make the mirror view too dark (unlike a previous cheap one I’ve had)
Adjustable parking lines in the rear camera view
Anti glare with nice bright full size screen
Good quality 1080p Sony sensor with anti overexposure (a problem on a previous mirror dashcam)
One of the few available that has an adjustable Right hand front camera so you get a better view of the road ahead
Waterproof rear camera (I had one that failed due to water getting in)
GPS speed recording and tracking
All the usual dashcam features such as loop recording and parking monitor etc
Very easy to fit with a couple of rubber straps to attach it over your existing mirror, although I haven’t properly wired it all in yet, will do that when it’s warmer!
Overall a very nice good quality dashcam I would recommend it over the cheaper models. After all if you look after your car (as I do) it’s a small amount of money to have some level of protection after an accident or someone driving into it when parked up
Our VW T6 camper had poor rear visibility and with a bike rack it was almost none. This is an ideal solution giving great vision day and night.
I had not done much in the way of car mods for many years, but fitting this was pretty straight forward – the biggest challenge was routing the cabling (see Akuoly Fish Tape for easy feeding of cables through tight spaces).

It`s fairly easy to fix it in place, but for a perfect job be prepared to spend a few good hours to do it. I have hardwired it to the fusebox as I already had the kit to do it but works fine plugged into the cigarette socket as well
It took me more time to fix the wire connecting the rear camera but I`m happy it comes nicely under the door rubber seal so it`s not visible and in the way.
The rear camera is fixed on the exterior, just above the number plate as the car is a hatchback and the vision was not so great from the interior angle.
As it`s fixed on top of the existing mirror, it`s actually acting as a rearview mirror, only that`s an image from a camera and not a reflected one. It took me a few days to get used to it but now it comes as natural.
Image quality is beyond reproach, with a wide viewing angle on both cameras, enough to capture almost everything that is happening around the car.
Parking guidance is a big pro for this device as we live in a crowded parking space area and being able to squeeze in for a parking space is crucial. It`s adjustable from the screen so I am totally in control of the distance left between the cars at every moment.
The display can be used to show recordings from either front or rear cameras or a split-screen with the two. Night vision is clear and the recordings are detailed. I.e. a number plate can be easily read.
GPS function comes in handy as well, especially as it has the timestamp and actual geographical position of the car in case of an insurance claim.
In big lines, happy about it, about its performance and truly recommended.
Easy to setup and the front and rear cameras mean can have stored video of your route and any incidents recorded for insurance claims.
Installing was easy with cables routed round inside car without any drilling of holes or other difficulties .
Product support very good also if any issues during installation.

Very happy. Picture quality is really good both cameras. The reversing camera feature is really good. I haven’t wired up to my reverse light but with a swipe of the screen, the guid lines pop up and the camera angle automatically dips. That’s good enough for me. Mounted the rear camera to my number plate. Had to drill a small hole in the bumper for the cable. Ran the cables under the side panels and under the head liner. Was a bit unsure of getting this product but really glad I did. Would recommend
I bought a Boscam wireless reverse camera from the same supplier, great product but issues with fitting. After contacting Customer Service the problem was sorted by Joanne without any fuss, I was even compensated for my out of pocket costs ( I had paid for professional fitting, even though it wasn’t really necessary.) Being extremely satisfied with the purchase I wanted a similar reverse cam for my wife’s car and after looking at options went for the V5 mirror type with built in dashcam. The product arrived as expected with quality packaging. Being of an age were I tend to use garage services the tradesman fitted all the bits in around 50 minutes. My wife has now been driving around for a week or so and after a day to get familiar is now very happy with both forward and reverse cameras. We are both very satisfied with our purchases and would be happy to recommend, great product and top customer care
Does everything we expected of it, the only problem was “items frequently bought together” on Amazon, the hard wiring kit didn’t fit the camera, I had to order another one. But now it’s fitted I am very impressed .
Very easy to assemble and install. Everything was well packaged and secure. The instructions are in many languages including English and the cables are 6m for the video and 3m for the cigarette lighter. After having read the instructions, installing the rearview mirror is easy and once the cameras are live, the quality of the images is very good. Night vision is very good, you will have to run your finger in front of the camera to see clean.

I purchased this for our Skoda CITIGO, as A. we want a dashcam and B. the CITIGO has reversing sensors but no rear camera. The unit arrived in a timely fashion, and is a very high quality item. Well packaged, all required cables included. I’m leasing the car so can’t make any holes in it during installation, but the way this simply straps to the existing mirror is very ingenious. The extending camera peeks around the side of the existing mirror and has built-in swivel so it can be adjusted to take a better forward picture. Installation is straightforward as long as you’re vague;y handy, the hardest bit being the routing of the cables around the headliner, etc. The recorded dashcam images seem of a sufficiently high quality. I was also very impressed by AutoVox’s technical support (provided, in my case, by a lady called Joanna). I wanted to run the mirror off normally, relying upon its reflectivity for the rear view, but still have the dashcams recording. Joanna helped me configure this setup, responding to my inquiry within 24 hours. How many UK companies would do that? In summary, a very good piece of kit.
his was a replacement for an older blackvue model. This is more compact and the video is very sharp during the day or night. take some fiddling to get setup and wire but once done it does a very good job. care must be take as to how and where you rout the wire and it is also advisable to but a hard wire kit for the job.
To start with the packaging has a upmarket feel and this carried on with the product fair to say it seems very well made.
Anyone with a basic mechanical skill can fit just make sure to take your time and be methodical instructions are good. Once fitted i thought i would give it a road test the GPS is a really nice function giving you your speed which is handy. Quality of picture is excellent number plates can easily be read and i am really impressed by the night quality. Its the first time i have had front and rear camera on a display seems very neat and tidy especially having the back camera double up as a reversing camera.

In my opinion this is a very good bit of kit. I love the fact it is a touchscreen and you can move the picture around which comes in handy when using the reversing camera. The Digital Speedo is great especially if you don’t have one on your car and as this is easily in view it makes it easy to see. The picture quality is great and the camera function is easy to use. Another thing is that it’s great is when driving at night because it is a black screen the car headlights behind don’t dazzle. So all in all I would recommend this to anyone great product does what it should and can’t fault it in any way
Only issue I have with it is that the touch screen is not very sensitive but overall perfect product.
Great product, once the wiring is done it’s just works.
The images are very sharp day and night the screen is large enough and has got a high resolution.
Put the recommended highest speed Class 10 64GB MicroSD car in, works perfectly.
The boot up process is very fast, couple of seconds, when put in reverse the rear camera displays immediately in full screen, optional to display the front and reverse cameras when driving, touch screen is accurate, easy to playback the recordings.
Wiring is long enough, mounting is simple with the provided rubber staps for the display.
This is my second unit after having the M1 Pro in the other car.

Quite a remarkable product, i decided to get this instead of a standard dash cam and i’m not disappointed. Looking at the box it comes in you know your getting a quality product and it looks great. I was going to get in someone to fit it but after watching countless tutorials i decided to do it myself. The camera just simply clips on to your existing mirror with supplied rubber straps and the 3 leads connect at the top. If you can feed the cables straight into the roof lining at this point they can be hidden very easily which is what i did. The power lead routed to the cig lighter, the GPS to the dash in the corner and the reverse camera lead fed along the floor near the sill, this was the most time consuming part of the job. Connecting to the reverse light was easy once i found the correct wire and fitting the camera to the back of the car was straight forward. I have had the camera in for just over a week now and love it. One or two buyers have mentioned the camera can be a little darker than they would have liked and its not as bright as daylight but this wont cause any problems. All in all a great bit of tech that has the wow facto

Very good quality product, takes a while to install due to hiding all the wiring but worth the effort. The mirror itself is great, easy to operate and would prove invaluable in the event of an accident. The fact it also can be used as a reverse camera and my wife’s new car did not have one was what steered me to this product but it is so good in every other way I am really glad I chose this product.

Purchased AUTO.VOX V5 mirror dash cam recently and has been the best dash cam I have ever owned. It was very easy to install and operate. High resolution Sony lenses and display mirror are excellent. The SMART touch screen mirror displays and records both front and rear view cameras. It looks very classy and in driving mode shows speed, time, date and when connected to reversing light parking grid lines. It accommodates very high capacity micros SD card. The powerful GPS is extremely useful. I installed the rear camera to the back window as I had previously purchased an excellent AUTO.VOX solar wireless digital reversing camera from Amazon, which has its own high resolution display. The mirror dash cam already provides this facility. I am very pleased with this purchase and strongly recommend AUTO.VOX mirror dash cam, which can be used as evidence in any accident disputes, which my cheaper dash cams failed to provide. In addition, AUTO.VOX has one of the best customer service, which provides accurate, comprehensive responses in perfect English and resolves any enquiries rapidly. It is also important to note that the rear view camera shows and records an unobstructed view of the road behind without obstruction from passenger and luggage.

Brilliant. Bought it for a motor home. All I needed was an extension cable. Two days by amazon prime Rear vision now perfect.
The product itself is easy to install out of the box and very easy all around nothing complicated to fit. After installation I noticed that the reverse camera wasn’t working checked my cables and everything and unplugged and plugged back in then it worked. I believe the connector I have isn’t the best and sometimes it will change from front to back without touching the screen itself, I think the connectors should have been better or screw in type to avoid this I may chase a replacement connector. In all the camera is very clear and the functionality is very good for what I need.

Customer services got a hold of me because of the bad review and were willing to help out in any way, they replaced the cables and then a full new kit until i was happy, service alone was superb!
I fitted the V5 into my partners 2005 Honda Civic. I purchased the hardwired kit also, which annoyingly didn’t work, so that was returned with a full refund. I purchased another hardwired kit and installed it all in an afternoon, including the rear camera.
The results are fantastic. Great video quality and sound, with a very clean install it made it look very slick and not like some cheap alternatives.
Aside from the initial failed hardwired kit, I had issues with the downloaded software, but after numerous emails back and forth with Joanne in customer services (who is amazing), the problems were resolved.

I chose this camera to replace my earlier X1 version which i have had for a few years and all i can say is, this camera is not like any other mirror camera. I would say price is pretty much justified because of the quality and features of the product and excellent customer service.
Camera has wide almost 11 inch display and covers my entire rear view mirror. It sits nice and flat and holds on to the mirror with the very strong rubber straps provided.
Camera which is set on the right hand side of the unit for use here in the U.K. can be adjusted either to view the front of the car or to use the rear camera for a rear view .Picture can be turned off with the tap of the screen to make it an ordinary rear view mirror with or without lane guidence if desired. Because of the large screen the picture looks so pleasant and clear and is perfect for use in my pickup truck, especially if i have items in the back.
Rear camera is a work of art as well. Camera provides wide field of view behind the car and the picture is incredibly clear. One feature I really liked the most is the picture can be scrolled up or down to see even more area behind the car. The rear camera can be used without connecting read power cable but, if someone wants to use it as a reverse camera then power cable needs to be connected to the reversing light cable so when you put car in reverse then reverse guide lines will come on.
Overall a perfect mirror camera for recording any problems you might encounter on the road.
This is my third Vox camera kit. I like the idea that they provide a reversing camera function as well as front and rear high qualify video recording, stamped with location coordinates from the GPS antenna that comes with the kit. This was very useful just a few weeks ago when I was hit by someone using their phone whilst driving.
This version (V5) is much improved on its predecessors which tended to pick up a little glare in video mode. The rear camera view turns on when reverse is selected or by using the controls on the mirror.
I had mine fitted for 50 by a guy that has a tow bar fitting business but now fits quite a few of these cameras.. There’s not much too it, but I’m a bit nervous about removing the headliner with all those plastic clips. The fitter told me that Vox was the best make on the market.
Apart from the glare problem on the old X2 model I’ve had no problems with any of the kits I’ve owned. Just make sure to rinse any dirt off the external camera before wiping to avoid scratching the lens. I learned this after ruining an OEM camera on a previous car.
This product offers great value for money and I will definitely buy another when its time to change my car.
Only missed out on 5 stars as the camera/ screen sometimes freezes. Which can be annoying when you have a picture on the mirror and can’t see anything !

So I got a 12 year old Micra with a very small rusty rear view mirror and wanted to have something that allows me to see around in a big screen. Very easy installation. We replaced the wiring for the rear camera with this and hid away within the trims of the car. Setting up the cameras is all done on the mirror dash camera.
The display on the main camera is clear with a good HD image for front and back cameras. The interface on the main camera is user friendly. Overall, for the price this is great as you also added benefit for a highly sensitive G-sensor and a parking monitor which takes a bit of getting used to but really aids in parking up.

Great quality product and finish to the mirror, very easy to install but the hard part is hiding the wires! I’ve done loads of research as I have a vw transporter and this is by far the highest regarded and respected recommendation, I was a bit skeptical however I can honestly say its amazing, I can now see behind me again and it has loads of great features. I managed to get one on a lightening deal and hard wired it very easily to ignition live, I don’t have to remember to turn it off or on now!

Easy to fit and install.
Powers on when I turn the ignition so I dont forget to turn it on or off. My old one i use to use the cigarette lighter wish i had known about the hard wire kits then. Every thing is automated once you set it up. The only time you need to do anything is if you have an accident and want to watch the footage.
I have just bought a new car and have transfered it across into new car took about 2 hours to uninstall and reinstall. Too many people making dodgy claims nowadays to now have a camera in your car.
Received this morning and managed to easily install it in under an hour.

Likes: A very clear image of behind my Vivaro van, with a MUCH wider view that if I had a rear view mirror alone.
Forward and rear facing cameras, which in event of someone hitting me, then blaming me for being in reverse (even though I was stationary, twice that’s happens and I had to take 50/50 on the insurance) I’d have proof now if it were to happen again.
Dislikes. Not having a rearview mirror proved to be a bit of a pain to instal. I bought two sucker type phone holders. The first could only be mounted centre, where all the buttons and connections are, so that was no. So I got a piece of wood, sorta like the size of a rear view mirror. That works, the only problem is now its a little front heavy so it droops!
Ideally faced slightly toward you for best view, but then the forward facing camera takes a slightly left heavy view, even with the front camera positioned max to the right.
Cable routing was a bit of a challenge too, but that’s the nature of it and no slight on this unit in particular. If you have very long van, (Sprinter, LWB Transit or the like) you may need to get a ride rear-view camera extension cable as the one that came was just long enough. I have a LWB Vivaro which isn’t a long van compared to the aforementioned ones.
So if you’re a van driver and considering this, I totally recommend it. But get a rear-view mirror for it to mount on.
I bought this to replace a standard dash cam on my Lotus Elise. I needed the addition of a rear camera for parking and rear view camera. I works really well, the screen is very clear, its easy to navigate the menus and they are easy to understand. The reversing feature is really good with parking lines that you setup yourself. The only thing I would comment on is that it attaches to your existing mirror and in this car it has some vibration. It’s not caused by the attachment to the mirror, it makes the existing mirror vibrate slightly. Its probably due to the car type and I expect it would be perfectly OK in a standard car.

Very easy to install, it’s a good quality unit with excellent customer back up, I did contact Joanne at customer services to ask a question about the reference to the hard wire kit, so just to be clear Joanne explained it’s the hard wire kit that you need to fit if you want the parking mode to operate without flattening your car battery
Spent hours and hours looking at all the available options. Selected this one as it was for a right hand drive car and the specification was, I think, better than the others. It seem to arrive before I even ordered it, yes it was super fast delivery. The experience of unboxing was like opening up a new iPhone, it was packed in a quality branded box and wrapping and before I even saw it I knew it was going to be good. And yes it was, this dash cam was looking like a high quality product, if only iPhones were the same in price relative speaking. I fitted the unit to my transit custom and made some brackets for the screen as my van is not fitted with a rear view mirror. I enjoyed every minute of the installation process as it was easy to fit even with the hard wire kit. Powering up was a big moment and all was absolutely perfect, this thing is awesome! Apart from sorting my memory card so it’s Fat32 everything was very straight forward. And even formatting the memory card to Fat32 was easy enough and took no longer than 5 minutes of research and downloading. I have now set the time and date etc and got it adjusted just how I want it, and have to say this is the best pound for pound item I have ever bought on amazon. It works just as I hoped, recordings are perfect, playback function easy to use, constant rear view image is perfect (main reason I wanted it). The rear camera even adjust itself when you select reverse. You may be getting the message I like this unit, you would be right. Perhaps you are a little undecided like I was, don’t be just buy it !

A must dash cam if you drive a van or don’t have a large back window, if you do you will find yourself returning to the basic rear view mirror. The rear camera makes it look like cars are much smaller therefore are further away but are actually much closer, the screen turned off makes an ok mirror but looks tinted. You must download a “ease us” partition manager for Windows to format the sd card at fat 32 otherwise it won’t work windows, as windows does not give you that format optio

The product features are excellent and the installation went pretty smooth. Rear view camera was a bit difficult, but that is vehicle specific. My biggest complaint is that the screen is quite dark, even at highest setting in sunlight especially. Also, the mirror is too reflective and can sometimes make it difficult to see.
It takes a while to get used to the constant picture feed to the rear view mirror, but the difference is amazing, no more struggling to see between the rear head rests, an unobstructed view of the road behind is far safer. Highly recommended.
I am NOT an electrician or a mechanic – so was debating whether to get a qualified professional to fit. BUT… In just 2 hours, I removed all the panels from the boot , panels along the drivers side to the side panels on the dash (to hide the wires). Threaded the the wires through. When all was back in place – it was like buying a new car with the dashcam already fitted.
This equipment is 10/10 – picture perfect and in widescreen. Visability 100%. Easy to use. Worth spending that little bit extra for a professional dashcam.
Delivery was spot on.

Also there is not enough movement on the front lense and it points to the kerb too much.
I understand that the mirror can be tilted to any angle because you have the rear camera but most people want to use it as a normal mirror when off like me and to do that, the camera lens needs more moveme

The auto vox v5 is even better than the x2 with added features such as the split screen.

Had a problem with the mirror rebooting itself after a year of ownership ,spoke to Kacey at autovox who very quickly sent me a firmware update to try ,and was patient whilst I waited for a long journey to check out the update , unfortunately it didn’t cure the problem so got back in touch and was sent out a new unit overnight that works great .fantastic customer service from Kacey who sent several follow up emails checking on progress
Cameras fore and aft, with a split screen option for the display. Manually adjustable Parking Grid Lines (many thanks for that, as I’ve never managed to line one up properly before). Plus, a decent ‘Parking Monitoring’ system, which I’ve tested by rocking the car – worked well. Yes, bump my car and I will seek great vengeance !
All of the bases are covered by this device. The controls, displays and functions are very good, installation is straight forward. All works as it should.
Odd ramblings:
No SD card supplied, but I’m not about to deduct a star for that. It can take a 64Gb micro.
Video taken of either ‘Parking Monitoring’ or ‘Emergency’ functions, is write protected. I like that.
One of the German reviewers said that it is possible to lose the PGL, when adjusting, by dragging too far off of the screen. Caution is advised, otherwise you’ll be hitting the factory reset.
All in all, well pleased !
The new anti-glare coating helps you to see the screen in bright sunlight, however still will washout the image in a convertible.
The streaming rear view capability is great for trucks or other vehicles without a clear line of sight to the back of the vehicle. Be sure to plan the routing of the wire prior to installing so you are certain there will be enough.
The installation is relatively simple with the right tools (Trim removal tool included) and wiring plan. There is only one connection to the reversing light wire (which doesn’t have to be made for the rear view camera to be operational). Everything else is plugged into a 12v car outlet. I found the mini (not micro) usb power cable clunky and oversized. I ordered a separate 10′ cable and ran it to a USB adapter in my cigarette outlet.
Very easy to install the rear facing camera. Picture quality is great.
great camera… I think an issue is with the memory cards you use.. you’ll beed a class ten or it won’t record properly
Like this as it worked with no issues, have the rear camera inside the car so tried a couple of positions until I was happy with that. Have it wired up to switch the camera on when reverse is engaged and has worked every time. The forward camera quality is very good and the rear quality still looks good. Much better than my old camera and I don’t worry about leaving this one in the car as its more conspicuous.
I’ve done a pre fit test and am delighted with the outcome. I am looking forward to fitting the entire system next month.
The kit arrived on time and well packed with a premium feel to both packaging and components.
Imagine how stupid I felt when during installation I trapped the plug from the reversing camera lead in the rear door of my VW T5, effectively amputating it!
After much searching for a replacement, I thought it was worth a shot to contact Auto-Vox customer services and see if I could purchase a replacement, without having to buy the complete unit.
Imagine my surprise when I received a prompt response and an offer of assistance and a very reasonable replacement arrived just a few weeks later.
The mirror is now fitted, working perfectly with great image quality, I use it as a rearview mirror as the van has no rear windows or parking sensors – superb!
If you are in the market for one of these don’t hesitate, not just a good product but excellent customer service – what more do you want!

I have read a few 1 star reviews and they have been offered a replacement, I just want to say if the SD doesn’t have high enough bit rate you would have read write issues.

All round picture quality is very good, although the statement of the anti-glare screen is true, the plastic around the edging of the screen is not, so at night when cars are behind you, you get little floating orbs distracting you in your peripheral vision. The second problem I have found is that when a vehicle is behind you, all you get in the video when you play it back, is light burst and that is it, until the person behind you stops right upto your bumper.
The last downfall about this camera, is that there is no hardwire kit for it and Auto-vox does not supply one, even on their website., you have to order a hardwire kit and then also order a USB kit on top of the purchase.
I’m thoroughly happy with it. Touch screen could be slightly more responsive but it really is quite a lot better than I had expected. I’ve yet to actually view any dash cam footage so I’ll reserve judgement on how easy that is and what the quality is.
Though the first one got from Autovox had screen freezing problem, Autovox took additional measure to fix the problem, I got new one that works absolutely perfect.
I have fixed the rear camera inside the car in rear window and it shows everything perfect from 3 feet distance(honda jazz 2018 is my car) . Very nice

Better mirror that the standard Smart Car, and installed in a Bentley Turbo R.
They seem to have fixed the issue with it messing with the DAB radio.
