As advertised. Works. Crystal clear picture quality, and bright enough even in glare from the sun. I use it to plug into headless servers requiring occasional maintenance, and to work on the train, so no comments on gaming with it. But it’s a fantastic and reasonably portable screen.
I got this as an easy to travel with monitor to work from home initially, it’s fantastic and will be extremely useful for site visits too. It’s not too heavy, easy to use, the stand is great and sturdy, extremely happy with this. The quality is fantastic, the sound is good too!

I recently picked up this Aztine 15.6″ Portable USB C monitor, and it’s been awesome. It works great as a second monitor for work, giving me the space I need to stay organized. Plus, the picture quality is really good.
When it’s time to relax, I use it as a screen for my PlayStation 4, and it works perfectly. The gameplay is smooth, and it’s easy to take with me when I travel.
Overall, if you need a monitor that is a great size for extending your desktop or playing on the move I’d highly recommend this one.
This is a great monitor for the price and for specific uses. I use it with a Fire Stick as a small TV on my desk for while I work. The picture is pretty good and the brightness is acceptable (but not great) I don’t think I’d use it as a gaming screen though, it’s a little dull. The sound is a quiet and tinny, fine for some background noise but not immersive as a main screen, you could use headphones though.
In summary it’s pretty good but not amazing, at this price point thought it’s decent and beats a tablet that can’t accept a HDMI input like this can.
Work wise it’s easy, plug and play and for gaming there is a tiny bit of screen lag but it makes the graphics of games look smooth and runs well.
Only down side is the stand, if like me, you try to angle it on the window ledge next to a sofa, the stand tends to slip as the wires will be on the way. Other than that, this is a great quality mo it or that can be used on the go if you’re working in different offices or sites or as a gaming monitor for none intense games.

I brought this to replace an old bulky monitor I was using as a second screen. The stand works really well and have had no problems with it staying up. The screen was easy to set up, literally unbox and plug in. The fact its portable is also a winner as it means it can easily hide away when not in use.

I brought this to set up my old consoles on and and it works really nice has a nice clear picture and works for what I needed it for.It has a nice HDR mode and a nice clear picture it’s quiet loud and it’s the right size for what I needed it for.I had to buy a stand for it but a standered tablet stand works just fine for it.Its light and compact and would easily fit in any 17″ laptop bag of you need to take it out.
Monitor works as expected. It can be powered direct from a usb c port on my laptop so pay not always needed. If only using usb c to usb c cable can’t achieve full Hd but if using HDMI as well picture is superb. Would recommend and buy agai

Well, I have been trying to find something that is lightweight, simple to use and is at a reasonable price.
I stumbled across the aztine monitor and, well, this thing is ace! Quick delivery, which was next day. I plugged my Xbox into the monitor and away I went, the picture on a 4k test motion picture was great, the gaming experience I had was brilliant, crisp, and quality picture.
And all for 77 (I got it while on offer at88 and then added the 10 off discount) AMAZING!
I cannot recommend this little monitor enough, the thing is exactly what I need.
Pluses – cables galore, everything you need to plug it in link it up and get going. Comes with cool case it stands up on and also 2 yes 2 years warranty!
Down sides – this would be ace if there was an option of the monitor being chargeable to be able to really take this anywhere and use it, and not be near a mains socket to maintain its power.
I also looked on Amazon to find something more sturdier for a case or protector but cannot find anything, maybe having this element of the product to purchase would be good to keep it free from being damaged.
Other than that I am extremely happy with the product and will be using this daily.

This monitor is an excellent stand-in for a full sized desktop monitor of equal size screen.
It comes in a solid protection case which folds out to produce it’s ‘stand’
The monitor comes with a 5 volt power supply which has a reasonably long cable.
( I have plugged this monitor into a USB port and the laptop provided the appropriate power – you may be able to do this – if it works it has enough power, if not – it just means you need the power supply.)
The screen comes with 2 x adapter cables to connect to HDMI and Display Port respectively.
* The connector on the monitor side is ‘Mini HDMI’ so make sure you have a port for that.
Picture quality when first switched on can be bland but simple changes in the monitors internal settings through the rocker switch produces a great screen display!
Big bonus for this monitor is it comes with built in speakers which are good enough for personal use but not ‘display type’ volumes.
There is an audio output socket where speakers can be attached.
All in all this is a value of money purchase, whether it is on a promotion or even full priced.

I bought this for use with my laptop as I need multiple screens to do my job successfully. It has the cables you need in the box but you will have to attach two to your laptop. This can make it a little messy. But for the price it’s a good size, and good quality screen with a magnetic case.
This is my fourth purchase of Aztine products over the years which have always been reliable. I also bought a lot of Aztine monitors for the company for advertising and design.
The picture colour is bright, brighter than other brands I’ve tried in the past, like 2K resolution.
Everyone said mobile phone compatibility issues, in fact this monitor supports my Samsung mobile phone and friend’s HP notebook, as mentioned in the user manual a large number of device models, but I don’t think it’s a monitor input problem, because the mobile phone or notebook Type -C port must support Typc-C full function, so it has nothing to do with the display, it’s really good, I highly recommend

This Is simple to set up and compatible with many brands there’s a detailed list you can check , it works well with my Sony Xperia 5ii , there is a note that you need a mini HDMI cable if you use an apple product .
What I love about this monitor along with its size is it’s lightweight and it’s very thin 0.3 inch profile . (There’s more weight to the adjustable cover case stand which is a nice black colour )
When using with a phone you need to adjust the screen brightness to 50% or lower to cancel out any flickering .

The screen is good and everything works well, however, it needs to be plugged into the device (obviously) and into the power socket, so you end up with a lot of cables around you. It’s ok for the price, but if you can afford a screen with a built-in battery, go for that one. Otherwise, the quality is good.
Once I read the instructions about where to plug everything in, it worked great with my Mac! It was easy to adjust the brightness also. The way the magnetic case folds to be somewhat adjustable is so much better than other case-stands I have used before.
The main drawback is that the weight listed is somewhat misleading and only accounts for the actual monitor, not the case, which is almost equally heavy (total about 2.7 pounds together). Still portable, but a significant extra weight when carrying other computer equipment when travelling. I got a plastic portable stand to use with it instead when I travel.

Brilliant monitor, looks fantastic and is compatible with almost everything. Got this to use when on the go or when hanging with my friends during a gaming session. Easily fits into my bag along with Ps5/Xbox, No longer need to lug around a big monitor.
This particular item (probably just a problem with mine) has a slight defect that applies gentle pressure to a small area of the bezel. As a result, on a completely black screen you can make out a vaguely lighter patch right at the edge of one of the corners, which is not noticeable at any other time. A little disappointing, but it’s honestly not worth sending it back over because I’m getting daily use out of it and it’s really great.
This portable monitor is perfectly fine at home and in the office but the sound quality is not what I expect. If the manufacturer could update the sound system. it would be good news for the future buye
I bought this screen to give me the option of a 2nd screen for my MBPs while on the go, or hot-desking in the office.
I’ve tested with both a 2019 (Intel) and 2020 (M1) MacBookPro and it works out of the box. Simply connect the single USB-C to USB-C cable between the screen and the MacBook, and within a few seconds the screen displays. Note: On the Mac, initially, the screen will look grey and washed out, simply disable High Dynamic Range in the MacOS display settings and the screen will come to life (This is a MacOS problem and not a problem with the screen, I’ve had to do the same on my other monitors)
The screen and resolution are perfectly clear enough to code on. I tested a few YouTube video clips to test, these also looked perfect fine.
As for the sound, it’s ok. Probably on par with a cheap bluetooth speaker. It works, but don’t expect to be blown away.
I’ve also tested with the Nintendo Switch, as I was curious if it’d work. I did spend a little time reading through the Q&A section getting mixed answers. Does it work with the Nintendo Switch? Yes. You’ll need power plugged into the screens ‘power’ USB-C port (either via the supplied cable and plug, or via a power bank), and then plug a USB-C to USB-C cable into the screens data USB-C port, and you’re good to go. Just to note, although the charging symbol was displayed on the Nintendo Switch, I saw a small amount of battery drain, so I don’t think this will keep the Switch charged (like the dock does), however I suspect you’ll get a good couple of hours of ‘portable’ play, on a lot larger 1080p screen.
For the price, really good value.
A second screen while you are travelling by work is more than welcome, so I regret a lot not grabbing one of these before. This one is easy to use and the quality is amazing – I have used and abused of it since the purchase and have had no issues at all – so, very happy with the item.

I am enjoying being able to watch films from any angle as the viewing angle will not affect my viewing experience! It has excellent image quality (19201080 Full HD IPS Screen Display) for gaming, watching films or even streaming your favourite series on netflix. sometimes you want to plug your phone in and see it on a bigger screen!! Have no worries peeps, this thing works in landscape and portrait!! Which makes it so versatile!! extending your phone screen also means that you can wathc and play movies or games on a real sized screen while on traveling. One great thing for me is that gou can connect your devices to monitor through Type-C or HDMI cable to play nearly anything through it… including your ps5!! I use this to extend my screen to read academic papers as I’m writing, and for general multi-tasking when I’m away from my office.

Sturdy, apparently good quality screen at this price point. Settings menu does take a while to get used to.
My major gripe is the diabolical case, where one needs PhD in origami to figure out how to make it stand and not collapse while it is supporting this quite hefty screen.
Had to spend extra money on a longer power cable and hdmi cable. This would be fine if it’s going to be right next to your device, but if you were buying it for a 2nd or 3rd monitor for a desktop pc you’ll want longer cables.
When I did get it up and running the next day though it looked fine, I would purchase another one in the future
It is a nice screen and very reasonably priced. It is excellent when connected to USB C as then the power and picture is supplied all down one cable, meaning nothing else to plug in, the picture is bright and sharp, but I haven’t used it for gaming. I still have not gotten it to work any other way even with VGA and USB-C to power it. Also don’t forget that if you have a device like a Surface Go 2 with only one connection you then cannot use USB tethering at the same time. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tablet and it doesn’t work with it either. I find the sound quality inferior to my Surface Go 2.
I would only buy if:
1. You have a device with a USB-C connection.
2. Ideally you will mostly use Wi-fi and/or have multiple connectors on your device.

My expensive 16″ MacBook Pro has had 2 screen based problems the latest apparently because of a cable but because it is integrated with the screen not worth bothering to repair again.
I bought this so I can continue to use the computer. This screen looks good and works instantly with the USB connection.

Clear image, and a thin bezel. The stand is very handy, and I’m using it as a third monitor sitting on my desk beneath my other two that are on a monitor stand. Will be useful for travel as well, as the stand folds over to cover the screen.
It’s powered by USB-C as well, so you can actually power it from your phone if you ever feel the need!

Excellent second monitor (well third for me) I use this monitor with my gaming rig to display my pc current loads on GOU and CPU and also display the temps. It works excellently and looks so cool!
My partner also has used this as a second monitor for her laptop when studying in coffee shops (requires being plugged in to use). This comes with a plug put a power bank can easily run this device for hours.
The picture quality is excellent for the money. Crystal clear picture and very responsive. The monitor has built in speakers but like most devices phones and tablets these are just enough and won’t blow you away but still handy on the go!

I had 2 monitors at home but needed one more. but I did not have bigger desk so I decided to go for a portable monitor and I am glad I did it. this thing is so small and portable. the screen is wide, full hd. The screen is matt so light reflection is also not an issue.
it comes with mini hdmi to full hdmi, USB C to USDB C and charging cable. I connect this using provided USB C cable to connect with my PC’s thunderbolt port so I dont need to connect external power supply to this monitor. it comes with a flip cover which is magnetic and which also provides as a nice stand.

The USB-C (Thunderbolt) cable from the monitor plugs directly to my Book’s USB-C socket offering a single cable solution. The USB-C cable provided with the monitor is full function and any alternative USB-C must support Thunderbolt as noted by a thunderbolt symbol next to the monitor’s USB-C socket. A USB-C power delivery (PD) charging cable may not work.
I needed to use the HDMI cable from the monitor to my Surface 5 Pro and iPad Pro. The Surface Pro has only a mini-DisplayPort so an adapter (mini-DP to HDMI socket) is required. The iPad Pro’s USB-C port can connect directly with the USB-C cable from the monitor; but I was hesitant to use this configuration for a long period since it drains the iPad battery. So with the iPad Pro I used a USB-C hub with an open HDMI socket in the iPad and the HDMI cable from the monitor; the hub provides power via a DC USB-C input. Each time the HDMI cable is used on the monitor power needs to be supplied by the USB-C power input on the monitor. Though I can only use the iPad with the monitor in mirror mode, it does provide a wider screen for viewing videos.
The speaker on the monitor is ok, but is not of the audio quallity coming from the PC. I selected the audio from the PC when listening for a long period. The brightness and clarity of the display has been good for text and great for pictures and video.. The OSD seems finicky; it may be me turning the wheel while pushing to select.
The magic cover is adequate, but needed to be setup per the instructions with the front flap folded back toward the monitor to help keep the monitor from sliding down. The cover makes it easy to pack the monitor and move.
What I needed was a monitor that can be used on my different PC platforms and is portable. Aztine portable monitor provides me an good cost effective solution. The customer support has been excellent; they quickly addressed a hardware problem. They responded within a day given the time difference. They reached out before dellivery of the monitor giving me a contact should problem arises and comfort that they tend to satisfy.

I got this as I’m going to be working from a relatives house for a few days over the Christmas period and as a software developer having 2 screens to use is must really so I plan to use this alongside my 16″ MacBook pro’s retina display.
I’ve only briefly tested it out today at home but so far I am quite impressed, the clarity of the display is very good and the brightness is perfect, would definitely be very usable in a well-lit room.
The size actually matches the MacBook’s 16″ display quite nicely and doesn’t look out of place next to it.
Works well with my Nintendo Switch (non-oled) via a dongle which is a bonus, and initial input lag tests are acceptable for a portable display (but don’t expect to win any e-sports matches).
I also tested it with my 2017 ASUS Rog Strix gaming laptop and again it works very well, being detected instantly and giving a good clear image.
Having both micro HDMI and USB-C for connectivity makes it very versatile, I could well see me using this as a HDMI monitor for my camera equipment.
The case makes it easy to prop-up the monitor in 2 common viewing angles but the magnets on my unit feel very weak and I suspect they will not last forever.
The OSD is a little cumbersome in that you have to long press for brightness controls otherwise you just get the volume adjustment, there is also no other controls besides brightness and volume.
I believe this type of OSD is common among these portable monitors though so I imagine it’s par for the course.
The included wall adapter is horrendous, please don’t use it and supply your own (or draw power from the device you’re connecting if applicable)
Overall very happy with my unit.
This screen is very portable and is great to use with a laptop in this work from home era. I can power it with my laptop USB and then use the hdmi cable for the signal, so no additional power supply is needed.
Picture and sound quality are not the best I have seen, but this is what you would expect for the price.
I am a IT professional and I sometimes have to travel for my work. At home I have a big monitor however for travelling and staying at hotels it wqs really horrible earlier for me so thought about giving this monitor a try by checking nice reviews about it.
Now I can say this really is a must have for me. It is very lightweight and definitely a good quality screen. Comes with a nice leather style cover that looks nice.
This can be powered by a phone that is just unbelievable. I connect it with my Huawei work home and watch movie even without connecting it to any other power source that is the best thing.
It has really doubled up my work productivity so definitely worth it for me.
I would say give it a try and you would love it.

I’ve been browsing the net on one screen and watching Netflix on the other and the picture really is top draw for a monitor this size. I thought I would have to attach external speakers as the monitor is so small that I thought the speakers may not have been any good. Well, I have absolutely no need for the external speakers as the dual built in speakers are more than capable of delivering an excellent sound.
It comes with a nice magnetic case that doubles as a stand, but I prefer to use the tiny little stand you can see in the attached photos. It is tiny and only meant for a phone, but as the monitor is so thin and light I have absolutely no problems sitting it on that. One of the best features is that if you have a laptop or device that has a full function USB Type C port then you only need to have the one cable connected and that will not only power your monitor but also pass the video and voice over it. My laptop doesn’t have a full function port so as you can see in the photos I had to use the supplied HDMI cable for the video and sound, and the USB C cable (also supplied) for the power.
This is well worth the money and it shows that you can get absolute brilliant picture and sound at this low price point and still have a top quality build using lightweight but durable materials. If any doubt then just give it a try is what I would say, as with Amazons comprehensive returns policy you are always safe guarded if for some strange reason you didn’t think it was as brilliant as I think it is.

Excellent device, can be powered up with an power bank and hooked up to any HDMI device using the HDMI to mini HDMI cable. Very useful to increase productivity using it with a laptop. How have I managed without this all this time! 5 stars *****
The quality of the display is more very good ,than what i expected. It is soo compact and its wort every penny.

Auch gut: Eine Schaummatte zum Schutz auf Reisen liegt bei.
Das Bild ist nicht total brillant, aber schon ziemlich gut. Man muss sehen, dass dieser Monitor einen guten Kompromiss darstellt: Die anderen in dieser Preisklasse haben entweder nicht diese Auflsung oder sie sind 2-3 cm dick und wiegen an die 2 kg – Inakzeptabel, wenn man das Gert auf (Flug-)Reisen mitnehmen will.
Dieses hat die hohe Auflsung und ist schmal und leicht – mit Falthlle 1170 g.

I use a laptop while working from home and love the portability that it provides. I am not fixed to a room or desk and wanted a portable monitor that occasionally when I need a second monitor then I can have it handy and not take up too much space. This display ticked all the boxes. It is a good size of 15.6″, the bezels are not too thick and it is also not too heavy to carry in a laptop bag. Connecting it to a Windows laptop is straight forward — plug and play. The screen quality is good for working on spreadsheets and also for playing some online games and watching media. The magnetic stand and screen cover is easy to use and protects the screen. I am very pleased with this screen and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a portable screen.
Fantastic portable monitor which makes my laptop into a dual screen. It’s perfect when I’m staying in a hotel or away from my normal set up. The monitor is lightweight, compact and easy to view from different angles. It comes with a portable case/ stand which is great. I didn’t realise the USB C port also power’s the monitor as well as transmitting the display so no need for a power cable anymore. I’ve used this constantly since purchase and I’m very happy with it.
Just to add, this is excellent for using with my PS4, makes it very portable and able to use in places I normally wouldn’t be able to. Picture quality is good and very playable as a temporary screen on the go.
I was very pleased that the screen came well packaged and arrived safely. On unboxing you see a very clean white exterior box which literally feels empty.
After removing the styrofoam you are blessed with this elegant piece of glass in a gorgeous velvety feeling magnetic cover.
The screen is huge. That’s what she said. No literally that is what my wife said. She was right. The size of the view area is bigger than most laptop screens. The slim design makes it easy to handle . The casing allows you to prop it up and position it to your liking.
One side has your POWER usb c slot the other side has a usb c as well. Very important that you don’t confuse them and get it right.
Comes with the hardware needed to connect hdmi to mini HDMI, usb c to USBC and the power cord. Super easy to set up. Just plug in and play.
For a 1080 display it is by far the best I have seen and/or used.
Overall I think for the price you are paying for a super super light weight portable video screen this is definitely a great if not greatest option. I tried it out with extending my laptop screen worked fine.
Then tried making it a external screen for my DSLR worked fine.
Lastly, used it to make wider and bigger my phone screen and worked easily.
If I had to say anything to help make this design better it would be to add the ability to cast your screen onto it. Even though being plugged in results in better data transfer, I would be ok with a second or two lag to be wireless.

I use dual screens for work and it was a hassle transporting screens around when working at different branches or staying in hotels. This compact screen fits in my laptop bag, is light weight and allows me to continue to work with dual screens anywhere I go.
I’m using this as a ‘confidence monitor’ attached to an ATEM Mini Pro for live-streaming church services. I have it laid flat on the table beside me so it is not as visually intrusive for people in the congregation as a more traditional upright screen would be. It enables me before the service to set the sound levels will reasonable accuracy and, at any point while I am conducting the service to check with a glance that what I want to be on screen on the livestream is, and that the next powerpoint slide is ready for when it is needed.
I’ve been using it only for a week but so far I am very pleased with the screen. The first time connecting it the image was slightly blurry but I tried adjusting the settings and it got better immediately, very easy to adjust and adapt to your needs. I’m also impressed with the time of response, previously I was using a desktop monitor and it took some seconds to duplicate screen or move folders from my laptop screen to the monitor, but with this screen it’s done instantaneity.
The screen is slightly wider than a laptop but very easy to fit in a rucksack. As you can see from the photos it is about as thick as a pen. Weight wise it is about the same as a laptop and feels solidly built. The monitor comes with a cover which also serves as a stand. The monitor is great as a second monitor for working and in this capacity you are not really using it to its full capacity.
The new use I found for it was even better the sun was out, we were having a few drinks with neighbours but a Euro match was on. This monitor provided a great solution with a few additions

These are all things I sure most of us already have. You can power both items from the power bank creating a truly portable solution for the garden or camping. You could carry all these items in a small bag and set everything up in a few minutes and be enjoying portable hd quality TV.
The picture quality is great I’ve watched bbc iplayer, netflix etc and it’s as good as my full size TV. The sound is good without being crazy loud but if you want to annoy the neighbours you can attach a portable speaker.
This is a great device for work or leisure.

The screen was packaged really well. It came with a variety of leads and a power supply. This is a great solution for me when I want to watch something in the garden or when were away in the caravan. Rather than being cooped up inside.
It has mini hdmi, USB C and 3.5mm connection. I purchased a mini HDMI to HDMI adapter and was able to run my firestick on it. The added bonus is I can power the firestick and screen from Power Banks too. So I can totally go off the main grid.
The picture is really good, as you would expect with an HDMI feed.
With the firestick having bluetooth, you are able to bluetooth another speaker to it if you need more volume. Alternatively you can use the 3.5mm speaker connection.
There is a folder cover type thing which you are able to keep the screen covered and clean. It then make part of the mount.

My eyesight has been deteriorating over the years and my main grump is using my phone and struggling to read stuff and enjoy watching videos on you tube or Netflix and as I am into entomology I often miss the very small items on screen. My son popped into my office and found me about to throw my phone in anger and after talking he suggested buying a portable monitor like the one he uses alongside his laptop and it would let me see what was on my phone but at a much greater size equal to or bigger than some laptops. That was the day things changed and we popped onto amazon and started browsing. Eventually we decided on this monitor and it was duly ordered.
It arrived and even before opening I was impressed with the packaging and was excited to see what was inside. The monitor was extremely well packed and it came with all the cables I would require and a cracking case that also worked as a stand. It was so slim, modern and being made of aluminium it was so smooth and felt really well made, and that pleased me. I plugged it in using supplied cable n plug, set it up on the case/stand, and plugged my phone in using USB C cabled supplied. This was truly amazing, the colours and the clarity were brilliant and I was on cloud nine. I watched one of my videos and I could follow everything clearly now and was so looking forward to showing my son, and thanking him.
My grandson popped in holding his switch as always and asked if I could plug that in and I was sure we could as it had correct connections.and there we were for the next 20 minutes playing games. It is so easy to use, just plug and play and it even has twin speakers on the side, and with a headphone socket so as not to disturb people around you.
Making use of my portable heavy duty powerbanks, this will be truly portable and when on holiday or travelling it will go where my phone goes, wonderful.
For the money this was a fantastic buy.
I have been looking for a large portal screen for a while now that was in price point. This 1080p 15″ monitor is perfect for my needs. Whilst working for home, and very little space, I needed something a lot smaller than a normal monitor.
Picture quality is as you’d expect for the spec with nice clean imagery. The USB C connections are great, and allow a number of connections.
The only, slight downside are the steaks are quite quiet. However, as this was actually a bonus, I haven’t marked it down from my point of view. The fact they’ve crammed speakers into this compact unit is great!
The unit is made from metal so is nice and sturdy. The magnetic fold out case is also a nice touch, giving you two angles to choose from.
I’d recommend this to anyone requiring a portable screen. Well worth it!

I use this for my xbox one s, the monitor is so good! Lightweight and easy to carry around. The good thing is that it doesn’t take up much space on my desk and once I’m done playing, I can easily store it away.

Nice quality, sensitive touchscreen. Maybe a bit expensive vs. Other brands but came reccomended, so I am happy.
Now in July and with the summer holidays which is now going to be in the UK camping and not abroad we wanted something with a bigger screen for family movies and playing the family switch on (4 way Mario cart is the best with the family).
With these two thoughts I started looking and couldn’t believe my eyes when I found these portable monitors which can be powered by no more than a 5v USB socket. This meant we could camp in the field with no direct power source other than a charged Switch and Power bank to power this. Price wise it was more than I was looking to pay, but given I will use it for work I decided to buy it.
First impression were good. It’s light and thin. It very similar to an Ipad type device by design and feel and comes with a flip over cover to protect it, and also act as a stand, which to be fair looks nice but is a little tricky to get into place to hold it, but once you have the hang of it work great.
It comes with a mini HDMI to HDMI lead which is what I’ve used for it to connect to a) my home working docking station to use it as a spare screen as a test and b) to connect it to our switch.
It also comes with a usbc cable, which I’ve used to power it via a spare USB slot on my laptop and also by my powerbank (as shown in the photo’s)
I understand, but have not tried it, but you can also used the USBC for video as well, there are 2 usbc ports on it, which mean you can use one to power and one for video. A nice little addition I think.
In terms of performance, it was plug an play and powered on as soon as both video and power are connected. The colour is good and bright, a little washed when compared to by LG monitor, but that was 4 times the price and powered by mains.
There is a small wheel function switch on the bottom which which you can push to flick through some usual functions like brightness, contrast, input and a few others. all of it works as seamless as you expect from a high end monitor and it feels robust and well made.
It has speakers, which as you would expect are tinny with not too much base, but are perfectly adequate for movie watching or playing minecaft and I probably won’t use them for work.
I think when I put this all together, I’m very pleased with the purchase. I works great and will I’m sure be fantastic on our summer holiday, but more as a long term investment will be very handy for my working away from home. A great bit of ki
With the working from home I was really missing the double screen setup. Came very nicely packaged with a C to C cable, it was literally just plug in and play, works as a charm. Great display quality and responsiveness. The plus is that is quite lightweight like a tablet and comes with its screen protector, so can just put in with my Macbook pro in the same case making it easy to transport.
The screen is sharp and clear. 1080p on a 15″ screen is the same pixel density as my laptop. Works fine in either portrait or landscape, no autodetecting so you have to change it in the OS if you want to rotate it. Had a detection issue initially (defaulted to 640×480), but it has been at 1080p since. Good viewing angles, colors stay consistent even viewed quite off center, it claims to be IPS and looks the part.
14.5″ wide by 9″ tall and 1/2″ thick with the case on. Weight is about 2.5lbs also with the case – which you need, as it is the stand as well, but the case is just under 1lb of that. Compares very well to trying to carry a full size monitor. The case is a protective full wraparound, magnetically held in place front and back when on, it is pretty secure from falling off completely, but does not provide any bottom cushioning when vertical in portrait orientation in a bag, so keep that in mind. My laptop bag has some cushioning under the inner, should be fine there.
As a stand, the case does a good job as long as you set it up on a flat surface and have the case on the right way – one side is the inside and is softer, greyish, and grippier, and the other is more black and slick, and if you put it on backwards it looks like it is attached but doesn’t work well at all. Confused me for a bit the first time I took the case off and put it back on wrong. Otherwise it is a fairly standard magnetic tablet case / stand. It is ONLY attached by magnets though, so pretty easy to disconnect unintentionally if you are twisting it at all while moving it in the stand position.
Connectivity is primarily USB-C. It has two ports, one is power only, the other is signal or both signal and power. My Latitude E5570 can provide power over the Thunderbolt / USB-C connector using the same cable as the video signal. So just the USB-C to C connector in the bag and quick to connect / disconnect is perfect.
The micro HDMI cable and separate power supply and USB A-C cable for power will be useful a few times a year when traveling for fun and I want to bring this with the xbox – but that won’t be a primary use, and holding a controller while staying at the right distance for this to be functional would not be perfect.
It has a speaker. Volume and quality compare poorly to my laptop speakers, this is more of a checkbox feature. I have no plans to use them.
It also comes with a plastic screen protector ready to install. At this size it is nearly impossible to get one of those on without bubbles, and I tried but was unsuccessful in avoiding those. But I don’t see any real need for it anyway – the case protects it for travel, and this isn’t a touchscreen to carry around, no matter how tablet like it looks.
Overall, it is meeting my need for a travel monitor quite well. We’ll see how TSA treats it the next time I hit the air, and how it holds up over time, but this is very good and quite affordable for what I needed today. Only issue is I keep trying to treat it like a touch screen, which it is not, but I’ll get used to that in time.
