It’s so cheap and bright it makes no sense not to get it. Its made of metal and I’ve crashed so often and it held up with just some paint coming off. The grib did start sliding but I super glued it on.
The only issue with this light is the stand for the light. When you ride your bike and go over a few bumps it sometimes tips down and is a big issue at night but otherwise the light is great.
Bought as a very bright light & it definitely is bright & shows up road very well & also drivers see it at a distance, so v happy with it. Would be 5 stars but 4 because it needs recharging after each use & takes a while to do so
The front light is great with a very bright light, several brightness modes plus flashing which when dark is too annoying, better just leaving light in on mode.
Rear light is good not super bright. The elastic mounting strap is okay but seems a bit fragile.
The front light is a heavy lump probably because of battery.
The front light is fine however the back light is a poor design, it was difficult to get the charging cable in and even more difficult to get it out, I had to use pliers, I would not trust the back light to stay on using the rubber band, as the hook is very shallow. Others have mentioned the back light faults and I have to agree with them.
The front light is as advertised, high luminosity and far reaching which is great at full and low power. Back light is also pretty bright and does the job well. One concern is the high temperature of the front light when at full beam. Currently this has not been used in warmer climate however overheating could be a possible hazard. Keep in mind this is not an issue at lower luminosity.
Overall, product works as intended with some possible overheating at full power.
Perfect for when it is dark outside. I can see where I am going. Unless I close my eyes, then I can’t. Cycle with your eyes open. Especially when it’s dark. Get a good bike light. This is a good bike light.
I commute to work by bike down dark twisty countryside paths and this light is more than adequate, great sturdy build and great price, looks like it should be reliable
I bought this light for the simplicity of mounting it on my handlebars with no wires involved. For the price point I didn’t expect exceptional lighting, but my aim was to use it as supplemental lighting.
If you are thinking about using this as your sole means of lighting your way, I would suggest it is only good enough for easy riding forestry roads and cycle tracks where there is no lighting. Beyond that it just does not pierce the dark bright enough or far enough for a reliable sole light.
I ride with a Hope R4 on my helmet, and use this light as a sort of backup/helping light source. I would not feel comfortable riding off road on natural terrain relying only on this light.
It isn’t too heavy, it is robust, it does stand up to rain, and the mount keeps it steady even over some narly sections.
I use this on my bike for commuting into work. It is surprisingly bright, stays solid in the mount and charges easily. The button has a satisfying click. For the money it’s spot on!
This bike light has truly exceeded my expectations. Its powerful beam cuts through darkness, providing an exceptional level of safety and visibility during my evening rides. The easy installation and secure fit give me confidence that it won’t budge, even on bumpy terrains. I appreciate the multiple lighting modes, allowing me to customize the intensity to suit different environments. The battery life is impressive, lasting through extended rides without a hitch. F
We use this for a multipurpose light .in fact yet to use on the bike as it is great at spotting a set of cats eyes 100m down the garden!!!
So great to use on bonfire night or when you have a power cut . Amazing all round
10/10 Pay for what you get.even tho the sky is still light, when your surrounded by bushes and trees it is dark out.fit perfectly on my illegal off road buggy.left it on for 30 hours to check the battery life on it and 2 days later it’s still not needed charge
Was skeptical at first because of low price, needed a light just for blasting around at night and this is brilliant, if you pair this with a battery pack flood light it would be a powerful combo but would highly recommend this. Haven’t really run out of battery life on it and have used it for 1-2 hours, normally just top it up and it’s ready to go. Rear light is also really good
Ideal for cycling through an old railway tunnel/now cycle track. It has a very bright front light with a wide beam, so ideal for my purpose. It also swivles to where you want it and stays in place because it clamps on to the handle bar. I am very happy with this purchase.
The rear light lasts for ages before it needs charging. The front one needs more frequent charging and it takes a few hours to be fully charged.
The front light can be adjusted to intensely bright, bright and flashing and less bright, so it is quite versatile for different roads/conditions. Its strobe-like beam quickly alerts people who walk casually along a cycle path, very helpful indeed!
I would recommend these lights; good value and effective.
Battery life is not as good as I’d expect… I use this for around 4 minutes a day as my bike commute is short and it lasts around 3-4 weeks depending how cold it is. This isn’t bad for me but if it was being used longer it’d easily need a recharge every 4-5 days. Unfortunately it takes easily 12 hours to recharge the battery.
The mount is pretty rubbish, it wobbles and rattles about on the move and I always have to re-adjust the light whilst on the move as it slips down.
Otherwise, I would recommend – it is bright and good enough for what I’ve needed it for.
Pros
The construction of the front light is extremely good.
Very blight good for lighting up the road/ path ahead.
Cons
The mount for the front light can work its way loose, due to the weight of the device, which can be annoying.
Great quality product. Super bright with multiple settings. Easy to install. Great build quality.
Prompt delivery and good price on Black Friday deal. Bought as a gift so not used yet.
Easy to fit, easy to recharge, long battery life and amazingly bright. Unbeatable value and highly recommend
It’s really handy on dark roads and paths with excellent views when on full beam ( sadly it was stolen )
Got this for my ebike for night rides, unbelievable light out if this
My son bought it for fitting to his bike for winter riding.
Brightness is amazing, good to commute in really dark areas…
Great service, quick delivery & just as bright as reviewed. Fab for riding at night on our local Greenway
No dislikes at moment
But for its price its a bloody good set of bike lights ..
Lights up the road really well, great item to keep you safe on those dark nights. I’d highly recommend
It’s easy to charge up
And lights up your surroundings would recommended to byeing this item
Bright – cycling on rough tracks rather than on road – so can see (more than just be seen).
I wanted to be visible on my bike and be able to ride at night too so good lights were needed. I found these to be easy to fit, easy to charge and very bright, especially the front light. I am delighted so far.
Used this product alongside fixed bike light. This light was originally my light back up one if my fixed light was not enough or did not work. This light on its own on low is enough for most cycles. Having used cat eye from the late 1990s to early 2000s this light is like having a battery pack halogen light in comparison. It’s brilliant. It might even be too bright on max for on coming traffic.
Black light is great. Back light lasts well over 20 rides of 30 mins on flashing mode.
Been using 3 months.
Only issue I’d say is front light mount not the best as have to tighten up often.
Best for non bumpy rides. However this is also a handy power bank walking torch.
Worth buying will bear any and all current cat eyes.
The front light is mega bright and perfect for my commute which has country/wooded roads so it’s virtually pitch black and the front light lights up the road cars headlight. However the rear light is a bit disappointing and no where near as bright. But useful to have as it can attach to a helmet for extra lights.
Fits perfect on my mountain bike. Front light is really well built, is nice and bright, and the powerbank is a god send. Brilliant purchase. Well impressed, and a lot cheaper than similar lights from the likes of Halfords. Would defo recommend.
Bought this set after reading many reviews on many light sets on Amazon. The front light is more than bright enough to be clearly seen in the daylight, it has different levels of brightness and two flash modes. It’s made from aluminium and has a nice weight to it. The bracket is adequate and does the job, I did find the included screw to small so used a larger one. The rear light works as it should with different settings including a flashing mode. Overall decent lights for the money.
Really bright lights and last for a very long time between charges.
I was pleasantly surprised with the build quality of the product. Brightness is more than enough for coming home at night. Wouldn’t use for night mountain Biking, the beam isn’t consistent enough. But for riding back from town, it’s perfec
Great, powerful light. I bought this for my escooter. Day after I bought another one. Now every one can see me.
It has got two battery cells. You can change those cells for better ones with more maH.
I recommend that to anyone.
So far so brilliant. Excellent brightness, the battery life seems pretty amazing too. I was a bit concerned about the plastic handlebar mount, but I’ve not had a trouble from it, the light has held in place despite some pretty hard landings. The backlight Emma great too. I already have a back light, so do t attach this one to my bike. However it’s got a really useful clip on the back so you can attach it to your bag or jacket. All in all can recommend.
It’s so good to know that if my son’s phone battery dies when he’s out cycling, he can easily charge it with this light. It doesn’t affect the brightness of the light whilst doing this either. Great value for money, I highly recommend!!
The light is very bright which is what I was looking for, however, the battery doesn’t last long. I use the lights to go to work 4 days a week during 20 minutes and by the end of the week I have to charge the battery.
Good to have varying modes of brightness. I would like the opportunity to purchase an additional front bike light bracket as the lights are used for 2 bikes please.
Had this about 6 months now and was happy with it. Easy install, bright light. The charging ports are poor. There are 2 and first the small one refused to work then the USB port failed. You can unscrew the back cover but there is no way to get the batteries back in as there is a fiddly connection that is impossible to reach. Buy a well known make if you want something that lasts.
use this with my commute bike. It’s very bright and long range. I have a 1km portion to travel that is rural, no streetlight, tree-lined = very dark in winter mornings. As long as you maintain a reasonable road speed this light is ideal. However it does need to be re-charged every evening.
It is a lot cheaper, a fraction of the price of similar items from bike shops.
Rear light is similar, amazingly bright, but needs recharged after every use.
I bought this on recommendation from someone who had one. It is good value for money. I normally get 3x 40mins worth of use on full power in a charge.
Note that it takes about 3 hrs to recharge – it is not fast.
The clamp is playing up a bit. On my bike, it does not stay tight, and the screw is fiddly.
I bought this light for commuting down the dark canal every day! On the brightest setting its great.. I do a 40 min commute and the battery lasts that long with a full charge every eve… Not really a bad point but the light is heavier than I expected.
At 27 for a decent front and rear light, this set is outstanding value for money. It does have a couple of issues: firstly, I don’t believe for a moment the front light pumps out anything like the claimed 2400lm – though what it does produce is focussed very well for the road, with a bright central part to the beam and good illumination all round. Also, the front mount is not perfect and I have been struggling to fit it tightly enough so the light does not slide downwards on rougher terrain. Nevertheless, an excellent road light, and comparable to much higher priced “branded” sets.
Only arrived today, after a few hours of charge I decided to take the light for a test ride. I had it dual mounted with another light (in case the battery went flat or there was an issue). Have to say the output is amazing for the price point. The light it was mounted with cost a similar amount and is no where near as bright. It’s too early to say how long the battery lasts for, but after a few hours of charge and the indicator still showing it wasn’t fully charged, it easily managed over an hours trail riding. I had realistic expectations of what the light might be, perform like etc. base on it’s price and it’s smashed those expectations, it easily performs at a level some lights perhaps 100+ perform at. Will see if it stands the test of time, that will be the only thing that might let it down if the light starts to dim after some use.
Definitely recommended if your looking for a good value trail/commuter light.
Claims to be 2400 LumensI have no way to verify the actual luminosity, but it is really bright and crisp easily illuminating more than far enough ahead to cycle at 30mph. I use stobe mode to be seen and I swear you could see to cycle at night by that alone.
Some commenters reported the light detaching in use and breaking on the roadWell it hasn’t yet detached for me after several hours road use, but being cautious a simple three inch lanyard of fishing line from the metal clip to the handle bar ensures if it was to detach it is going nowhere 🙂
The mounting to the handle bar is not the best, being all plastic and I had to retighten the thumb screw three times as the materials stretched, but it seems firm enough now.
Battery life seems to be very goodhours on strobe.
For the price (about 26 GBP) it represents excellent value for money.
Those who with 5000 Lumen retina melters with separate battery packs obviously out perform it.but then at this price I could fit two or three of these units and still be cheaper..Lol.
Comes with two USB charging leads. Both lights had some residual power for testing but I charged both using USB outlets that are fitted to one of my 13 amp home plugs. The rear light charged within an hour or so, the main light I had to leave overnight so don’t know how long that took.
The instruction sheets are quite brief and are written on two small slips of paper around the size of credit cards.
Fitting is fairly intuitive. The front is supplied with a mounting bracket that the light slides on and clips too. This makes removing it easy. It has 6 functions varying from solid bright through dimmer to flashing and “SOS”. This can be changed to 3 functions, bright, dim and flash.
The rear light doesn’t mout quite so securely and relies on a stretch rubber ladder to hold it in place. It does not mount easily to the rear frame as its mount is not angled. Mounting it to the rear frame would result in it pointing down or to the sky. I ended up mounting it to the rear of my rear luggage frame and put some self amalgamating tape around the frame for extra grip. The rear light has 3 modes. Solid bright and two different flash modes.
Both lights are very bright. I intend to use them mainly as day warning lights, using their flashing modes. But testing in the dark, they are certainly bright enough. I don’t know how long the lights last until needing a recharge. There is a warning light built into the switch of the main light to show it needs a charge.
Not 5 stars due to very brief instructions and less than perfect mounting of the rear light.
But quite pleased with them.
Brilliant lights easy to fix and use. The rear light is adequate although not as robust or powerful as the front which is the main deal here. It has all the settings you expect and comes with a typical rubber band bracket which is good enough but if you’re doing serious mtb stuff I would strap it on with tape as it may come off from the clip. However you can get them as separates for around 7 so no great loss.
The front light is what it’s all about. It has a USB type A port which means you can plug in your phone and use it as a power bank which the 2 x 3200mA 18650 batteries take care of nicely. Charging takes ages. When it first arrived it lit up green but took about 10hrs to fully charge.
I rode down the canal path to a friend’s for a sesh and came back well under the influence and more! Its about a 1 hour ride back and although it’s not my typical mtb route it does pose a few challenges like deep locks and ditches that can throw you off your bike if you’re not careful. No such problem with these lights. They clear a path right thru the dark and also illuminates the surroundings giving you that all important peripheral vision to see and be seen.
It has your typical 5 settings, from full beam to middle and low. Also a powerful strobe and signalling flash. Its solidly built with an all metal casing and clips on and off with ease allowing you to pocket it and carry as a torch. Also has a cool rotation feature which can be useful if you’re stuck in the woods and are looking for a clearing somewhere.
Purchased as a replacement for my daughters basic lights from Halfords and man, are they are great upgrade.
Firstly, the brightness of both the front and back lights are pretty intense when on full beam, they really are something to behold.
We have several bike trails that start at the bottom of our road and two of them have a few tunnels, these lights cut through the darkness so well on our ride this afternoon.
They were easy to fit and recharge pretty fast. It’s nice that they came with a separate usb cable for the front and back light.
The instructions can be a little unclear, but thankfully there really isn’t a lot to learn with just one button on each light.
Once powered on, the main light had a great led to let you know it’s on, however the blinding light kind of gives that away too.
The light does rotate once fitted to the bike, which is a nice touch but I don’t see much need for it.
Overall, they really are a great purchase.
Pros
– very bright
– easy to use
– easy to install
– 2 cables so you can charge both at the same time
Cons
– instructions are a little unclea
