Bonsaii DocShred C204-C Paper Shredder’s simple features make it easy to use and perfect for your home & small office. The shredder works as expected. The collector bin has a handle which makes it much easier to empty than our previous shredder.
I bought my Bonsaii shredder when my old one packed up. What I noticed: 1. The Bonsaii is much quieter. 2. It’s much faster. It eats paper. 3. The shredding mechanism doesn’t get jammed. Hopefully these benefits will last for years.
The easy lift handle made it perfect for arthritic hands to lift the heavy motor in order to empty the box.
Got all my back log of shredding done quickly and relatively quietly, the shredder just ate the shredding no problem and didn’t have to worry about removing the staples. I had a lot of old Christmas and Birthday cards to do as well as old bank cards and loyalty cards. Not a problem. I would definitely recommend this product. I wasn’t aware of the lubricating and sharpening sheets so I have to try these out.

It’s the old saying, you get what you pay for. My old budget version gave up the ghost without being hammered. This although more expensive is far better quality and more robust. Does the job without constantly overheating. Very satisfied.

Good size with a carry handle and a large bucket for catching your shredding, but above all it’s the quietest shredder I’ve ever owned and takes your paper and plastic cards easily in a smooth action.
This Shredder was bought to replace my previous Shredder which stopped working after only one year. Unlike the previous one this one is quiet and up to now running smoothly. Another good feature is an indicator light if it starts to overheat although I give it regular breaks anyway. I am having a clear out of lots of old paperwork so it will get plenty of use over the coming weeks.
Really pleased with this shredder. Very quiet in operation. I only feed a max of 2 sheets at a time and it copes admirably. The window at the front gives me good warning before it is full.
This one fits the bill perfectly. It cuts into very small pieces, with less dust than my previous model.
Forward and reverse, in case it get stuck and an overheat cut-out.

We are now a two shredder family with his & hers. Could not stick the inquisition about any glue on my paper that I was shredding. Last night completed ten years of letters in a pile. Shredder with the use for 4 minutes wait for 40 minutes worked fine even with old credit cards. Over the moon that I have it to myself.
Got this to replace an old shredder and it’s great to use without having to keep stopping to clean out the teeth. Only use it once a year but works for ages without getting hot.

This has replaced a Fellowes shredder which had been next to useless since day one. I had persevered with it and even purchased special oil as advised by the retailer, but it still struggled with one sheet of paper let alone the six it was supposedly capable of. Having decided to never buy from the manufacturer again I took a chance on the Bonsaii. On opening the packaging the shredder was smaller and lighter than the failed Fellowes but from first use it has been excellent. It is dramatically quieter and faster and can cope with two or three sheets without issue. I know it will handle more but I think it works best without overloading it. It is perfect for normal household use or small home office. The bin is smaller than the Fellowes but at least it works properly! There is a useful handle on the top to remove the cutting head from the bin, but it would have been useful to be able to lock the head in place to move the shredder around by the same handle. So far this appears to be a good purchase, only time will tell on the long term reliability.

The shredder arrived quickly and was well packaged – no damage. It was easy to install and use and is extremely quiet when used!! Very happy with the shredder under my home office desk.
I used it for 1 sheet at a time had it on say 30 mins and it cut out no warning. Went back on a few minutes later though.
Works really well although I don’t put anymore than 2 sheets at a time. Fairly quiet compared to others I’ve had. I like the reverse option when it gets jammed up, which has only happened a couple of times.
Very quiet operation and cuts into small pieces. Ideal size for home/ office. Pleased with my choice. Oddly, nowhere on the instructions does it mention the need to lubricate the cutters, but on the manufacturers website it does.
Neat unit, easy to use but doesn’t take too many sheets at once and would suggest not using for more that 10 mins at a time as it does get hot. Can get ‘clogged’ up in the teeth but this can be cleared easily with care (advise you unplug first).
Overall, for household use, this is a neat piece of equipment, easy to use and value for money.

I would say that the only issue, like most of this type & price is that if you have a lot of paper to shred, you may have to give it 10minutes to cool down very now and then as they cut out when the motor gets too hot.

I was a little disappointed with the size of the shredder, but thats my fault for not checking dimensions before I ordered. The overall review is that im pleased with this shredder. As long as you dont put too many sheets through at once it shreds efficiently. Its is extremely quiet, which is the main thing I like about it.
Bonsaii 6 sheet Shredder
So far has proven reliable but is prone to occasional blocking up when used continuously. It does cut out as expected to cool down but seems quick to recover. However I was giving it a tough time clearing a home office of many confidential papers etc and it did the job and is still fully functional. Its done better than the previous 3 cross cut shredders Ive had. Its also the quietest by far.
I haven’t done a great deal of shredding as yet, but so far, so good. It’s compact, and fits nicely beneath my desk without getting in the way. It has a handle on the top which I like, although it would be useful if the top blade part could be secured to the bottom bin part, so you could pick the whole thing up by the handle. As it is, you can only lift the top blade section with it. But, as a shredder, no complaints.

Shredded 4 years of old bills-statements in one session.Found it not ro noisy,used for around 3hrs.with no problems.A bit noisy toward the finish,more than likely due to the length of use in one go.Pleased with this. After an hour or so seemed to start to whine constanly.have left shredder for a while,hope the whine was caused due to amount of use in one long session.

Needed a cross shredder fast as moving, and my old one decided to give up the ghost after nearly 12 years of use. Saw this and after reading reviews thought that will do. Have now used 2 days running and so far so good, have 3 bags of recycled shredding. Not overly noisy, no more than expected usual few shreds caught in teeth and need help at end of shredding to keep it clean (remember to switch off first). Generally pleased with it and at least the job is getting done. Would recommend this one especially for the price.

Works exectly as intended. Have run it straight for ages with no overheating and haven’t had a single jam. For the money it’s fantastic. Only improvement would be to be able to lock the lid in to make it easy to pick up from the handle.
I use it for shredding personal correspondence and at the moment due to working from home in the current situation work papers.

It’s a very decent inexpensive shredder that will deal with all the shredding the average person will need when clearing out a few rooms from their house. The noise level is good and I am still able to talk to family while shredding. I’ve filled up a couple of big rubbish sacks full of shredding and it’s still going nice and strong. Handles paperclips like a charm as well.

I bought this (6 page shredder) due to working from home and needing to be able to shred confidential notes. It was also something I’ve wanted for a while to shred old household paperwork and this is perfect for both.
It’s not too big so doesn’t take up much room. It has a decent sized collector however and is very easy to use. It’s much quieter than I though it would be. It feels very stable, is of good qulity and very good value for money. Would definitely recommed this.

Bought this to shred hard copies of old photos after being digiok but sed. In use it works but as the media is 160gsm, the quoted 6 sheet throughput – more than 3 at a time usually ends up in a jam.
In use it is quite noisy and the crosscut action makes the whole thing shudder! However, it doesn’t appear to have a detrimental effect. The top has a handle (that folds out of the way when not in use) so that the bin can be easily taken away to empty when full.
The shreder eats credit cards with relish and because it’s a cross cutter, (P3 rated) this is a secure way of destroying sensitive documents and those pesky credit cards.
Despite being inexpensive compared to some of the major brands on offer, I found it perfectly adequate for my purposes.

This is slightly smaller in “bin” capacity, though much quieter in operation. So far, the motor has not tripped out due to overwork/overheating, but that will only be a matter of time. The interesting thing then will be how long it takes to cool down, reset itself and carry on cutting.
We like the lifting handle on the cutting head – and the fact that it’s a cross-cut variety, so all your A4 sheets are reduced to small (secure), fragments. The (3x), warning lights are another simple but useful feature. Good kit.
Not a bad machine, but does overheat quickly, and then cuts out for about 15 minutes or so, still not bad for the price.
Although I have only used this a few times it appears to do the job as long as you do not exceed 3 sheets of paper. I tried 6 sheets once and the shredder all but jammed so I wont be doing that again.

After too many months and years soldiering on with an old shredder that clogged after every 10 sheets this one is a blessed relief. Have managed to clear a big backlog of shredding quickly, hassle free and relatively quietly. I haven’t experienced a jam yet so that may well alter my rosy view but so far I couldn’t be more pleased with it.
This shredder, we bought it 1 week ago, have used it twice, have filled 3 large sacks over the time we have used it. It has never over heated. We have used it for over 3 hours and has not stopped working. I bought a Fellowes 1 about a year ago, Fellowes 1 overheats after 3mins, and once it has overheated, next time we used the Fellowes shredder after 30 seconds it over heated again. Bonsai shredder is 100 times better. Buy Bonsai, for a good little shredder at a good price.
It’s brilliant, works a treat, if you treat it nicely will keep going for ages, by nicely l mean don’t shove too much through at once and not too quick, take your time and take a break now and then….
This is good shredder for home use. I haven’t had any issues of overheating or paper being stuck till date. The best thing is the cris cross cut. Would definitely recommend.

i personally fill that this i not going to last as long as my old one that lasted years this one judders and to me don’t sound quite right .but it going to have to do. as i don’t do much shredding any more its ok But i Don’t trust it at the moment . just have to wait and see .

I ordered this one without much hope, but it’s been a fantastic little machine.
The trick is to not shred more sheets simultaneously than the spec, and to work in smaller batches with breaks rather than keep it in constant use.
I’ve done a huge amount of shredding recently, and it hasn’t overheated once. Haven’t seen a warning light at all so far.
Highly recommended.

This was advertised as being suitable for shredding credit cards too, but the instructions that come with it say not to use it for that, which was disappointing. I had a lot of old business cards to shred, and it coped with those 2 at a time, and was a lot quieter than my old one…
Actually great shredder but having only had it a couple of days it has developed a very annoying whine. I have contacted the enquiries email on the product and I am waiting to hear from them but I might have to see how it goes.

The sensor for pulling the paper through is sensitive (which is good) meaning it will easily detect a single receipt and shred it. Everything that has passed through its teeth so far has been completely obliterated and turned into minuscule pieces of paper making it very secure.
Can’t comment on reliability yet, other than I have put it through its paces by filling the bin in a couple of hours (a lot of shredding) and it did not overheat or grumble once.
I found this shredder excellent quality, nice compact shape and has a great handle for lifting off the top. Very quiet in operation, maybe slightly slower to shred but not a significant issue – we’re all in too much of a hurry anyway these days!! Would definitely recommend.
