Bought this hedge trimmer as alternative to my corded Black and Decker hedge trimmer – this Bosch cordless unit was very easy to use – did everything i wanted it too and has a very good battery life.

Took a punt on this based upon other reviews. Needed something light & cordless. Does the job and does it very well. Battery life is very good. Makes very light work of our hedges, Berberis and verigated holy, Absolutely plows throw the “smaller” hedges and bushes.
THIS TRIMMER IS EASY TO USE AND REASONABLE LIGHT WEIGHT. I HAD NO TROUBLE CUTTING A 15 METRE LONG HEDGE WITH IT. MY SON WAS SO IMPRESSED WITH THE RESULT I ACHEIVED, HE BORROWED IT TO TRIM SEVERAL BUSHES IN HIS NEWLY AQUIRED GARDEN.
Was firstly concerned that the box looked pretty beaten up when it arrived and I was worried the blade might have been bent, took photos of the packaging just in case it needed to be returned. Examined the blade and all looked ok.
This hedgetrimmer was purchased to replace my old seized petrol machine, I had no great expectations but pleased to say it cuts through my hedge like butter, the anti -stall function works like a dream, I’m very pleased with it.
The single battery does not have enough capacity to finish the entire hedge so will need to invest in a second battery.

Like all Bosch products there is at least a standard level of trust associated with the brand and this continues to be true with this product. It is perfect for medium sized bushes, and got through branches as thick as 1.5cm no problem. Light weight enough to not tired you out. Managed to do my entire garden without draining the battery.
All I can say is Wow!
I have a large hedge and I was dubious the battery would last, but this trimmer cut through it like a hot knife through butter!
No snagging at all and it’s sooo manoueverable to get in all those awkward bits around gates, etc.
Cutting the hedge is no longer a chore and I’m sorry I didn’t buy this trimmer years ago!
Can’t praise it enough!
This trimmer is so easy to use. It is light making it easy to manouver, relatively quiet, has a good length of cut (55cm) and supplied razor sharp as I found when greasing the cutters before use. The 2.5Ah battery did both sides of a hedge about 40′ long with a height of between 8-10′ comfortably in record time. The top will have to wait until I put the platform up. It’s a shame it can’t be used with one hand but the safety triggers require to use both hands. Don’t know battery life yet hence 4* there. Otherwise, I wary of going cordless but have been seriously impressed with this tool. It takes Home & Garden PBA batteries (avaiable as aftermarket relatively cheaply).

Really pleased with this hedgecutter. I used it to cut a hedge which is about 8m long and 1.5 high. I fully charged the battery before starting and cut my side of the hedge and the top. A few days later I cut my neighbours side on the same charge. After finishing the battery only took around 15 minutes to charge back up to full.
I found it cut the hedge really well and was light enough to manoeuvre around without any fuss. It’s also far safer using a battery hedgecutter than a corded version.
I’ve also got the Bosch 18v combi drill which comes with a pair of 18v 1.5 Ah batteries. The hedgecutter has one 18v 2.5 Ah battery. I swapped the batteries around and both worked with the others battery so if this is a concern for you when buying into the Bosch 18v system you need not worry.
Cuts better than my much heavier petrol trimmer. Took me a while to figure out the last 10cm are for cutting through small branches. Cuts through very thick privet. Did 24mtr hedge 3mtr high and still had charge. Recommend for people who like a lighter machine. Glad I bought it. 5 stars all round
If my husband can use it then anyone can! My hubby loves it and has become quite a handyman lobbing branches off the trees and bushes in the garden. The battery powers is good and can be recharged quite quickly. Can’t fault the product!
Haven’t tried yet 100% but it is solid and yet very light. Holding is perfect and it allows nice cuts for long time.
Only used once so far but initially impressed! Light weight, manoeuvrable and easy to use, battery even lasted longer than I thought! Would probably only use it on young growth for hedging, pyracantha etc. and use my corded more powerful one for anything more substantial.

Habe keinen Vergleich zu anderen. Da ich die Passenden Akkus schon hatte wurde es diese Bosch Heckenschere. Mit Akkus wre mir das Gert aber eindeutig zu teuer gewesen! Ansonsten bin ich sehr zufrieden mit dem Gert, ich schneide damit meine Koniferenhecke. Die Astsge Funktion an der Spitze ist dabei sehr hilfreich fr strkere ste.
This trimmer have proved to be considerably more effective than I was expecting for cordless device. Clearly not as powerful as corded version but even with 2.5Ah battery, my arms grow tired before its battery runs out (and that not because its heavy either!).
Did as expected..it cuts out frequently with branches getting stuck between the blades, and is not suitable for any heavy work, but fine for a basic garden.
Easy to use light battery lasts long enough too do my large hedge very impressed
