Braun a quality brand well designed is reasonably quite while in use. Body is plastic so always a fear of damaging if any part dropped during cleaning. Pleased with product i make daily carrot juice. I am a big fan of amazon services but i bought this from amazon warehouse came in bad condition was disappointed thus time. Overall product is good.
Absolutely amazing!
I’m always worried about the negative reviews, but that was my best purchase!
Beautiful design, not so noisy as some of the buyers said(not more than other I used before), easy to assemble, easy to clean, easy to use. I definitely would buy it again!
This is fast, efficient and does the job. The froth separator is a bonus as you get a good clean juice as a result. There is a lot of cleaning up afterwards but that is simply because the fibre from the fruit and veg travels all around the unit. However, it comes apart easily and it takes just seconds to rinse it all off/wash it and leave it to dry before reassembling. Braun have made it easy for you to see how to take the juicer apart and click it back together quickly and easily. It looks confusing when you first see all the parts but it is self-explanatory as to where it all goes!
Great value for money, durable and reliable. Was weary about buying low end of a “brand name” but most cheaper alternatives had really bad reviews. It all comes down to the quality of the motor and that’s where cheaper brands will skimp. The quality of the plastic mouldings is superior to most of the cheaper import alternatives. Ours is used abou 5 days a week and seems to be holding up well. My advice, spend the extra 30 and buy this instead of the cheaper alternatives and it’ll last you. This is extremely easy to clean and reassemble.
Very pleased with this juicer, it is easy to use and importantly, easy to clean. Easily assembled ready for use. I would recommend.
I’ve been looking for a juicer for quite sometime and this was a perfect buy. Its easy to use and clean. I make juices every other day and have no problem using a variety fruits. Its great that it takes whole fruits so no chopping up fruits needed. Makes juice I’m seconds and froth free. Easy to wash and clean out. Great purchase.
This is the 2nd Braun Juicer I’ve purchased over a period of years. It gets used everyday and is fab, easy to clean, easy to use, takes all kinds a f fruit and veg and is very powerful. I’ve tried more expensive and cheaper juicers but this one is the best, I would definitely recommend
The only drawback is peeling the fruit, particularly oranges and mangoes. but the results are wonderful.
All upright Juicers are prone to trouble. This model works perfectly and is great value for money!
An excellent product. Great for juicing certain fruits and vegetables.
Quick and easy nice juice. Very easy to clean just under running water.
The apple juice I microwave for a minute because I’m allergic to apples, that makes them good for me. It tastes warm as well cooled down just amazing. Or try oranges with a bit of carrot, best juice I’ve ever had!
Love this juicer much more powerful than my previous one.
Nice wide feeding tube so you don’t have to chop your fruit and veg up much.
Works much better than a centrigual one I bought previously, and very easy to clean (I don’t recommend a centrifugal juicer, as it doesn’t produce a smooth juice)
German technology! Enough said. A pleasure to use and clean. Highly recommended.
Very easy to assemble and use. Very powerful motor – juice is ready in seconds. It has two speeds for soft fruits and another for the hard fruits. I really cant fault this machine. I love it. I gave it four stars because it has only been a week since I started using it so still early days.
Amazing how much juice can be extracted with this machine, very impressed
Was a Christmas present for my Son-in-Law he is very pleased with it using it every day
It does exactly what I expected of it. The only downside, which is obviously common to all such juicers, is the amount of time it takes to clean every piece after use.
Had this juicer for 3 years now and it is still going strong. Comes with a superb cleaning brush and is beautifully designed in build. If I didn’t have this in my kitchen I would feel like something was missing.
Had a Phillips HR1861 before that unfortunately broke so had to get a replacement, looked at the newer Phillips models but didn’t really like the looks of them so bought this. Had it a month now & used everyday, so far happy with it as it’s almost the same as the Phillips I had before, toyed with the idea of buying the J500, but as J300 was a little bit more powerful than the Phillips I had before thought it would be fine & it is.
This is a really excellent juicer. Previous one burned out (quite old and not Braun). I have only juiced apples and it works better if apples are not whole but quartered, saves overworking the motor.
i’ll keep it nice and short. I love this juicer.
Overall we are well pleased with this juicer. It is an efficient extractor, leaving quite dry residue, and is sturdy enough to suggest it will last well. Only one minor point to mark it down one star: the residue ends up getting distributed over multiple pieces so cleaning is not as quick as it could have been. But it still doesn’t take more than 5 mins to disassemble, clean and reassemble, so not bad at all.
love it, it’s just perfect, quick to use and quick to clea
Excellent product, just wizz through vegetable and it is easy to clean and keeps all the juice mess contained, no leaks or issues. Not noise and absolutely the best juice which is separated from the foam, making this very tasty and easy to use.
I’ve had this juice for over a year, used pretty frequently and it works just as good as the day I baught it (considering the Phillips juicer I had before blew up after a few weeks and the arm broke off after a single use)! The design is sleek and it looks good on the kitchen counter and after a couple of uses I can say with honesty that I can thoroughly clean and re-assemble within ten minutes which is brilliant (literally take apart, rinse and wash in warm water and put back together) which is fantastic compared to some juicers. The big jug included is useful for catching whatever amount of juice comes out and it’s super easy to juice whole fruit and veggies without the need to cut first. My only gripe is that the pulp is very wet leading me to believe it could be better at extracting the juice. Overall very happy 🙂
Absolutely excellent – easy to use and easy to clea
After a lot of online research and reading reviews, decided to give this a try. So far it has proven to be the best choice. Juice jug and pulp container is just the right size for family of 5. I love the foam separator, it works perfectly and separate almost all the foam from the juice before it goes in to glass.
Disassemble > Clean > Assemble is very easy. It’s durable and solid so you don’t have to worry about breaking anything while cleaning it.
Highly recommended.
Excellent poweful juicer. I am giving it 4 stars because there is a lot of cleaning involved after use. Too many bits and bobs.
my laddie and his girlfriend loved this prezzie as theyre both gym obsessed health freaks
I’ve owned a Matstone 6 in 1 and also cheap Cooksworks juicers. The Matstone was good but only lasted a couple of years before breaking down. Matstone were awful for customer service and offered no help. The Cooksworks juicers were cheap and cheerful but left the pulp with a fair amount of juice in it.
The Braun is similarly a centrifugal juicer but is well designed and leaves the pulp fairly dry. Easy to clean, assemble etc and it looks good. It has a large pulp bucket and a nice big jug. Best of all it has a massive chute which allows you to put in whole fruit and veg e.g. whole apples, cucumbers, beets etc. Used in conjunction with a sturdy hand blender, you can have the best of the whole fruit or vegetable by mixing your smoothed avocados etc with your juice and some of the good pulp from the juicer (it’s all good but apple pectin is really something you especially want to consume for soluble fibre, so I put that back into my smoothie/ juice)
Time-saving, good design, easy to clean, and if you hurry to Argos they have it on sale now for 49.99. [Oops, I also see Amazon selling it for 49.99 this month – see the side bar. Braun want 84.95 for it)
This machine that makes light work of pretty much anything you would ever want to juice. The arperture through which you load your fruit cocktail is pretty large, so very little much chopping is involved. And, boy, is it quick! From whole to liquid in seconds. And from the first taste it is obvious why you would want to ditch the cartons. Tomatoes juice, fresh from the fruit with cucumber is just about the most refreshing drink ever!
Update-December 2014
So, after juicing carrrots, tomatoes, limes and cucumbers I can say that the juicer is great for producing juice,it squeezes every available drop out of everything. Two drawbacks, and to be honest one that has resulted in my having left it alone for the last couple of months, is the mess. Every time you use this the entire inside of the machine gets covered with pith and pulp and it takes ages to get clean. I guess that wouldn’t be such an issue if I were making juice for an entire family but for a single person (or at least me) it’s too much time and trouble.the other is it’s fairly big footprint. For a small kitchen, with limited counter space this just on the wrobg side of too big.
Now this is a great product. It does what it says on the tin and it does it very well. Size was a bit of a surprise: it’s much bigger and bulkier than I’d expected. But it’s also very sturdy. Easy to put together and easy to use. It’s also got some bells and whistles such as an anti-drip spout and a filter to minimise foam. The fresh juice tastes great as well – but then you’d expect this (setting aside the issue of the quality of the fruit).
The downside, because there always is one: sometimes it’s just too much hassle to make your own fresh juice and, if I’m honest, often expensive. Yes nothing can beat the flavour of fresh juice but it isn’t always the best option.
I have been juicing and blending things for quite some time now and have to say this machine is pretty spot on at what it is designed to do! It looks great with my matching black counters and adds a touch of class to my kitchen, although it is fairly bulky so if you plan to store it away for any length of time you may need to rethink!
The assembly was extremely easy, to be honest i didn’t even read the instructions, the whole thing just clips on and off like nothing and is very easy to put together once washed. I did machine wash this the first time to no adverse effect (it is machine washable afterall) yet it did not seem to get all of the pulp out from my oranges, therefore i have always hand washed the appliance since. Not a big problem anyway as it is so simple to remove!
The ferocity of the machine shocked me to be fair, as before i had always dealt with lower wattage machines, this one juiced an entire orange in a second or two! The “pulp” that comes out is extremely dry as well, indicating that the juicer really did juice the entire fruit! Oh… and it tastes delicious!
Overall a pretty impressive product to be fair, it can make a ton of juice as well, so very adequate to impress anybody with your “home squeezed” orange juice. Not that i have rather!
When I received this juicer I had to take a second closer look very quickly at our old Braun juicer. They were scarily similar. Usually I’d say this is a bad thing, but our old juicer is 15 years+ old. We’ve used it a lot and it never stopped working. So in my eyes Braun is already onto a winner.
This juicer is sublime. Fairly quiet, super easy to clean – and even comes with cleaning implements to get to those hard to reach places. So far so good.
It makes pretty great juice too.
I went on a mammoth juicing session and made everything from celery and apple juice all the way through to beetroot, brocolli and peach (perhaps skip that one, it wasn’t my finest creation).
This will handle pretty much all fruits except for super fiberous ones and comes with a handy guide to tell you what, and what not to use in it.
The cleaning – which is so important in a device like this really was super easy. It all comes apart and I reckon it takes 5 minutes to clean.
The juice is crips and pure and the pulp always has little moisture left in it.
A sublime machine and subtle evolution from years gone by. Well done Braun.
I was sent the J500 – so I will write a short review here & go to the other model to write a full review.
The juicer is excellent – does a large amount of fruit before it needs cleaning out. It is easy to clean.
Although I was expecting the J300 juicer, this review is actually for the J500 which I received instead.
First impressions of the juicer were very good — it’s an attractive looking machine — although it was larger than we were expecting. Assembly was straightforward and we were soon juicing away. The anti-drip spout is very clever and useful, although the anti-foam filter doesn’t really seem to be all that effective!
The juicer comes with a double-ended brush to help clean out the pulp from all those annoying little nooks and crannies and, thanks to the ease with which you can disassemble and reassemble the machine, tidying up after use is pretty straightforward.
The only real problem is the instruction booklet — there are no recipes in there at all. Checking Braun’s website does bring up a range of recipes, but the major issue there is that the ones specifically for this range of juicers include fruit and vegetables that the booklet says should not be used with the machine. So — who do you believe? (We weren’t prepared to risk it)
Fortunately, there are lots of recipes out there and we’ve had fun drinking fresh juice mixes that don’t have any added sugar or artificial flavourings and preservatives.
This arrived quickly in rather a large box.
Once the packaging removed I was left with a professional good looking product. It appears well made of high quality materials.
The intake is quite large so you do not have to chop things up much or at all to place them in. And once in and you set it too work it squeezes them very well, producing a good deal of liquid from the items.
It flows into the glass well without spillage and leaves you with a healthy refreshing juice.
Overall very impressed.
