We like to make our own coffee to suit our taste not like these pods n capsules which only make what they want you to have
So this is just grea
Works really well. Makes great coffee quickly and allows you to make the drink as big or small as you like, which is great for me and my mega cups.
A great coffee machine, best I have ever tried. Worth every penny.
This machine really does most of the work for you, the built in milk container and adjustable frothing means you can make very tasty and steaming Latte or Cappuccino at the push of a button.
There is also the choice to make your own style of coffee.
Excellent value for money.
Absolutely brilliant machine perfect espresso and americano every time
Can’t find a faul
Fab machine, so easy to use, a bit of a faff to clean but not awful!
Like Costa in my kitchen, never had one before, they are very nice, and this one is 19bar, that’s a lot, so far so good, very happy.
I use this product for making coffee espresso and latte.
Overall the machine is brilliant.
The only disappointment is the writing under the buttons lasted only 2 to 3 days.
I like the hot milk foamier ,I’m still struggling to get a coffee that is strong enough for my tast.
The smell and flavour of a quality cup of coffee at home is a wonderful thing and such an enjoyable addition to my weekend routine, courtesy of Breville’s One-Touch CoffeeHouse. I’ve almost no need to deviate from the automatic settings for latt and cappuccino, although the option of flat whites is there if you switch the frother’s setting all the way down.
The filter arm and handle attach strongly and the adjustable shelf height for cups is simple and well-thought out. The milk frother is a mixture of brilliant and frustrating. Designed in such a way that you can attach and detach a substantial milk reservoir quickly and easily, it enables you to save remaining quantities of milk to store in the fridge without waste. Seriously clever. But when the pipe is in use, it does sometimes result in spillages or over-foaming and it’s a good idea to keep something handy to wipe up with in case this occurs.
Where Breville’s coffee maker succeeds is in making delicious, uplifting coffee a genuinely simple one-touch process. Yes it’s a tad noisy (aren’t they all), and that milk frother can sometimes behave strangely but with a modern, sturdy design, excellent pressure and therefore flavour extracted from coffee, and being so easy to use and clean, it really does perform brilliantly and is a worthy, luxurious addition to the weekend morning’s wake-up-call.
I had bought 2 other machines . I had to send back due to over milking and bad fittings . So my 3rd time lucky with the breville . Makes the best coffee for my taste . Love my expresso . An the flat whites . Good all round machine , for a reasonable price .
Nothing to dislike only downfall is the milk don’t stay fresh long in the fridge in the dispenser container if left overnight otherwise this machine is outstanding just like a cafe cappuccino
Been using this for two months now and we haven’t looked back. Far better and cheaper than any pod machine!
The particular electric coffee pot we have been using for years is no longer available, so we decided to come into the 21st Century and try this model. Our old pot was quite a simple affair really and, by comparison, the Breville ‘Coffee House’ looked a tad complicated to use – I am happy to report that I was wrong.
Firstly, the machine looks very smart, blue being an unusual colour for a kitchen appliance, but it blends in with the rest of the kitchen bits and bobs really well. Also, and very importantly, it is easy to keep clean with very few annoying nooks and crannies. Operating instructions are straightforward and explained in an easy manner.
The machine really does make an excellent cup of coffee. I like a black expresso, long and strong, and this is delivered with minimum fuss. I like freshly ground coffee but ‘pods’ can also be used. I have also becoming very fond of a morning cappuccino as this machine makes the (oat) milk very hot and frothy – no more luke-warm offerings.
Overall, the ease with which an excellent cup of coffee is obtained using this machine surprised me and I am delighted. Highly recommended.
This is a brilliant machine it’s easy to work and tastes amazing
I bought this for my brother and he is happy with i
Does need deep clean cycle run more than the 200 cup recommendation but really easy to do
I bought it for my parents and they love it. They are really happy with i
Best coffee machine I’ve ever used,
it’s easy to use it’s absolutely brilliant,
and the frothy milk maker just completes it
well pleased
I’ve had this coffee machine now for 2+ years and use it daily for multiple coffees. It’s still going strong and hasn’t required any new parts or broken once. My one frustration with it is that the milk frother can be a bit difficult to clean properly, but a dishwasher solves that problem for me!
Excellent quality and makes a damn good coffee to boot!
You have to keep an eye under the unit as this is my second to have a leak, granted this one doesn’t leak as bad as the first but after every 3/4 use you need to check under the unit.
Brilliant little machine that makes really nice espresso lattes and cappuccinos with the touch of a button and they are hot. The only minor gripe I have is the milk reservoir can be a little fiddly to clean all the nooks and crannies but a small price to pay for great coffee
It’s really easy to use and makes a perfect coffee , make sure you clean the milk container out properly.
I live the whole thing and it looks good to my friends all like the drinks it’s grea
This is our 2nd machine made by breville great coffee machines highly reccomended
Very happy with the purchase. But noisy in the cleaning mode but the overall experience been great. Easy to use and make great coffee . Highly recommended
Nice stylish looking coffee machine. Easy to operate, doesn’t take up too much room. The removable milk storage part is great, you can keep milk in it, in the fridge until you need it then just pop it in and get frothing!!
Easy to clean as well
Produces a nice coffee.
simple to set up and easy to use. makes a good cup of coffee.
be careful when knocking out grinds as the filter tends to drop out from the handle into the bin..
This is the first time I’ve bought, what I would say is a proper coffee machine & boy I don’t regret it… Great coffee options, great taste & easy to use..
Good machine.. good price.. easy to use. Make a nice coffee, cappuccino. Is not too big, good size. Thank you
This is just a great coffee machine.
The price of this espresso, cappuccino and latte maker is just 169.00 at the moment and it is way better that many espresso only machines.
The coffee machine comes really well packed.
Inside the box you get everything that you need to make a coffee straight from the box.
You only need ground coffee and milk.
Inside the box you have the coffee machine,2 espresso filters – 1 for single and 1 for double shot.
The coffee machine should also work with ESE pods.
I haven’t tried this option ,but I will try that as well and I will update this review.
There is also a plastic scoop with coffee tamper on the other side, which normally comes with most coffee machines, but I personally recommend getting a proper coffee tamper.
The size of the coffee tamper that you need for this machine is 51mm.
There are also instructions that come in the box and I personally find them really useful.
When I first opened the box I just left them inside as I was thinking that I don’t need them.
After I had a small latte that overfilled my cup and I had to spend time cleaning around the coffee machine I decided to find the instructions and read them carefully.
On one of the pages you can find the size of the suggested cup for the pre-programmed drinks.
In my case small latte is 400ml and my cup was about 270 – 300 ml,which is way smaller than I should have used.
I will upload a picture of this page to give better idea of the sizes of the pre-programed drinks.
There are 6 pre-programmed: Single and Double Espresso,Small and Large Cappuccino,Small and Large Latte.
There are also 2 custom buttons,1 for the size of the Coffee and 1 for the size of the Milk/Froth.
With these 2 buttons you can have you own custom amounts of milk and coffee, which means that you can use the coffee machine with any cup size and the way you like your drink.
There is no button for only hot water so you can’t use the machine to make a tea.
The coffee machine has 2 tanks.
One for the water and one for the milk.
The milk tank has adjustment for the foam ,which is turning right for more foam and turning left for less foam.
The adjustment on the milk tank is also used for cleaning the tank and all the hoses and pipes inside the milk tank.
You need to turn the adjuster to the far left end and then press the Clean button on the coffee machine.
The machine will start pumping steam through the milk tank hoses and pipes and will clean them from any milk left inside.
The milk tank needs to be empty as the steam goes inside the tank as well.
After using the cleaning option I personally clean the milk tank and all the parts with soapy water and I leave it to dry out before the next use.
I do this because there are some places like around the seals that the clean option is not able to 100% clean.
It doesn’t take much to clean them,so nothing to worry about.
I really like that if you still have milk in the milk tank you can remove it from the coffee machine and leave it in the fridge.
Hopefully my review was Helpful for you.
This Breville coffee machine is stylish and sleek and looks good in a modern kitchen. It’s like being in a cafe when you make the coffee and smells amazing. You can use ground coffee beans with this machine or ESE pods.
It comes with a large 600ml milk container than can be removed and stored in the fridge for next time which is a good idea. Saves wasting lots of milk or having to pour it back into the bottle each time.
The machine makes espresso, cappuccino and latte. The milk frother is a great feature on this. The water and milk come out at the right temperature but hot water does spit quite a lot whilst making the drink so don’t stand too close.
The machine does need cleaning before the first use and then after every other use. The drip tray is height adjustable and removable for easy cleaning.
The programmes are so easy to use, just select drink type and cup size and then it’s ready to go.
Makes a great cup of coffee and froths the milk superbly. Well worth the money for a caf quality cupper. The only issue I’ve had was the lettering over the different buttons has come off when cleaning. It gets used daily and we know what the buttons are for so not much of a problems for us. They could improve the quality of the lettering transfers to make the machine better.
Good machine makes good coffee , use the right size cup as i was using normal cups and trying to get a latte and having to stop as milk was overflowing with no coffee yet And i was wondering how this was , i also feel i need to add an extra expresso shot (from same coffee ground ive already extracted) as it was a bit week for me but thats just preference i guess
This coffee machine is just under 200 at full price and 170 at the current discounted price, which I think is well worth paying for such a good machine.
Our office has two similar machines from Sage, which cost almost 700 each, and the only real difference is that it grinds beans, yet the one machine broke after just a few weeks.
This machine does almost everything that the 700 machine does, yet for less than a third of the price.
It’s really easy to use too. Pour coffee grounds into the holder and twist this into the machine to lock, place a cup underneath and then simply select from the preprogrammed options to dispense. Attach the milk frother (with milk inside, of course) and select latte, cappuccino or froth to make a coffee-shop-quality drink at home.
I actually have a Nespresso machine which is about 100 more expensive than this machine and, despite the one taking pods and this taking grounds, there is almost no difference in functionality and this is just as easy to use.
The compartments for water and milk are very large which means it takes a while before you have to refill, so that is very convenient through the day when you don’t have time to refill regularly.
It’s powerful enough to compete with bigger and more expensive machines, and the flavour and quality of the coffee it produces really would be hard to beat.
Nothing is better than waking up and just being able to click a button on a pre-prepared coffee machine, being immersed in a delicious scent of roasted beans and then having an excellent, Italian-style and quality espresso in the morning.
For the money it really is a bargain and I would be happy to buy another if I ever have the need.
This is a good coffee maker that offers versatility in a fairly small amount of counter space, although I think it could be easier to clean and use.
Assembly is simple, with the water and milk tanks slotting into their positions easily. The milk tank is small enough to be stored in a fridge door, so you don’t need to remove and clean the tank if you’ve got spare milk at the end of the day.
The machine looks good. The chrome on the front is fairly fingerprint-prone though it is also easy to wipe off. The body is made of a strong, dark blue plastic that I think looks OK.
I haven’t tried making coffee with the pods because I’m opposed to them on principle – such a waste of materials. The pump works very well with finely ground coffee though. Espressos are similar to my Krups bean-to-cup machine, indicating that the pressure through the pump is sufficient for squeezing out the flavour.
It can be a little tricky to get the portafilter into the slot sometimes. I’m not sure if the thread is a little too small on my machine, but it can take far more force than I’d expect.
The milk frother is great. It generates a good amount of volume and the level of foam is adjustable. See the video to see it working with oat milk. The tubes are easy enough to clean, but what irritates me is the awkward shape of the tank. I understand it’s probably so it can slot against the side of the machine, but the irregular shape makes it tough to reach all the corners.
The controls are easy enough to learn – 1-press for regular (small really) and 2-presses for large. There’s also a manual mode that can dispense hot water or milk in amounts to your liking.
Overall, it’s a versatile coffee maker with a good pump and frother.
Compact. Nice and easy to use, both with the auto programmes (regular or large cup, Cappuccino, Latte or Espresso/Lungo) and manually tweaking, e.g. add more water/milk after programme, or cancel programme at any time. I’ve gone through various coffee machines from Tassimo, Nespresso, Espresso (including Gaggia) and this is the longest lasting and easiest to use machine I have ever had. Some the parts feel brittle (hard plastic) but have stood the test of time.
Dislikes: Could do with a ‘low water’ indicator/light and a place to store the brewing cup/handle.
Recommended for 150 or less.
I haven’t been without an espresso machine for many years, love the flavour but sometimes depending on the machine is can be a be tricky to get that exact taste you are looking for. Very keen to try this, my old machine in 15 bar this is 19 bar and wow what a difference, the coffee come through so smooth and full of flavour. The one touch works like a dream, easy to use and you get consistent results. I wasn’t sure if I would like the milk frother, I’m used to just doing in a metal jug using the machine’s frother but this simplifies the process and makes a lot less mess! Great quality coffee machine, looks good, works perfectly and the most important bit makes amazing coffee.
I just want to begin with a few warnings as many reviewers have already covered many of the good features. Firstly as you can see from my picture, make sure you do follow the instructions given to run the auto cleaning process before making your first coffee. We did and and a piece of plastic and many small debris were flushed through the system into our mug. You wouldn’t notice these pieces in a coffee – please do follow the manufacturers guide here, it’s there for this reason. Secondly, during the auto clean process, the instructions (ref:8:) say that the water flushed through the frother will stop automatically. Again as you can see from an included picture, ours did not. We had to manually stop it and clean up the overflow. Finally, make sure that the machine is switched off before attempting to turn-release the coffee filter handle. It is very stiff and requires supporting the machine with your spare hand, but in the process you can very easily lean onto the control pane activating a setting – if it happens to be the milk frother then you’re in serious trouble.
Overall we didn’t find this machine to be as easy as claimed. The preset options create very small servings even on a double setting.
However, like all appliances that have their quirks, things do begin to get easier as you learn it’s limitations and abilities. The unit isn’t as big as the box makes it seem – this actually was a positive meaning it’s far easier to comfortably fit on the average worktop.
The water container is a brilliant size and leaps above those on pod machines where refilling is necessary for almost every cup.
We didn’t actually find the machine to be too noisy, in fact it was far quieter than expected. Even the milk frother wasn’t excessive in any way. There is an audible thumping sound whilst it’s working though. Again, nothing to worry about, just an observation.
This is a well established and trusted brand which for this type of kitchen use I think is very important to rely on. The machine does do it’s job it’s just that if you’re not serving 60 coffees an hour then a miniaturised version like this isn’t as slick for a single cup every few hours.
BREVILLE ONE TOUCH COFFEE MACHINE, SUITABLE FOR ESE PODS OR GROUND COFFEE ONLY, EASY USE WITH FULL INSTRUCTIONS SUPPLIED. IDEAL FOR EXPRESSO’S, LATTE’S AND CAPPUCCINO’S. EASY CLEAN WITH MILK FROTHER. SUITABLE FOR SMALL OR LARGE CUPS WITH ADJUSTABLE CUP TRAY.
The machine is relatively compact, not too heavy, and straight forward to set up.
After cleaning all the different parts, I followed the instruction to prime the machine. This process does take a while and it is rather noisy.
When making a coffee though, the noise level is acceptable as it is no different to similar type coffee machines.
With the one touch button, you can easily make yourself a latte, cappuccino, or an expresso, and with a knob to control how frothy you want your milk to be.
Alternatively, you have the option to use the two manual buttons for coffee and milk froth to create your own preference.
I particularly like the quality of the foamy milk it produces. The coffee it makes is also of good standard. What I like as well is I can remove the milk reservoir and store it in the fridge. Comparing with the capsules machine I have been using for many years, coffee made from the Breville machine is much hotter, so my coffee doesn’t cool down too quickly, I get to enjoy and drink it at a slower pace.
Should you feel lazy to fill the porta-filter with ground coffee, you could simply slot in a ESE pods.
A couple of things you will need to get used to:
(1) Placing the porta-filter — you really have to push hard to place the filter properly for your first 10 cups I would say. It gradually get a little easier. As noted by other reviewers, you need to be very careful initially when you are pushing hard to put the filter in place, as you could accidentally press one of the button on the front panel.
(2) Remember to point the milk dispensing tube towards your cup unless espresso is your selection. I am really telling from experience.
Some may say why the machine doesn’t come with a grinder, but I guess with a built-in grinder, the size of the unit would become a lot bigger, it is a balance for one to decide. Or perhaps for the unit to remain this size, the choice to make is either a built-in grinder or an automatic dispensing of milk froth, my choice is surely the latter any day.
At RRP 199 I must say it is hardly appealing. At the reduced price of 149, that is much more competitive. I would no doubt recommend it considering all factors.
The only reason I am not giving it a 5 stars rating is, although I like its control panel buttons with the blue light, the unit as a whole still feel a bit plasticky.
Straight upfront I have only used this machine once…Basically, because we have a backlog of capsules for our old machine and need to use them up first!
This machine makes absolutely superb coffee,, and the milk frother is a joy to behold!
Speaking of milk..once we get this bad boy up and running it does away with us having to buy milk capsules at almost 13 for a fortnights supply!
Absolutely love this machine and the coffee it makes!
I will say that its BIG and takes up a fair amount of space on your worktop..But so worthwhile!
Fully customisable and using ESE pods, this is a decent little machine which does have an excellent milk frother built in. It is not an all singing all dancing machine, but I would say it is a step up from entry level machines of this type. I have been using coffee machines for years now and if you do not want to go for a bean to cup model, but want a similar taste, I think you will be pretty happy with this. I tried out the frother just so that I could review it and this part of the machine is excellent. Personally, I prefer espresso and have set the machine up to deliver the cup size I need etc and it works very well. Be careful whilst you are learning to use it as it is quite easy to burn yourself, but once you are used to it, this will not be a problem. At 199 which is the RRP, I would say it is too expensive, but at the reduced price of 150, it is pretty good value.
Whilst I’m happy with an espresso or drip coffee, my wife prefers a flat white or Cappucino. Our current Krups is great for the former, less so for the latter.
This Breville One-Touch (usually have to press a few buttons) is well priced for the features and with a little bit of practice does produce very good black and white coffees.
I really do like the fact that you can take the milk tank off and store it in the fridge door.
It almost goes without saying that with a 19 bar pump it is going to produce decent espresso, where the One-touch scores points with us are the quality of the steamed milk and froth.
Fairly easy to clean assuming you do it straight away and it has a smallish footprint.
At the time of writing 150 seems to be a very good price. It will take loose coffee and ESE capsules.
Had this over a couple of days now and for the price 149 this is by far one of the best machines i have owned, the coffee basket supplied is single and double and the handle fits in great, the milk frother is a bit keen but ensure the spout points at the cups inside wall it wont splatter everywhere, one touch to make the coffee either latte or cappuccino and its made in a matter of 15 seconds, the large option needs a good sized cup bigger than a normal mug, i hunted for a friendsesque type “bowl” mug and its perfect, if you need to top up either coffee or more milk you can press the button and get a top up (manual says it automatically stops but it does not it needs a second press) if i was to list any drawbacks it would be that the glass latte cups do not fit underneath which is disappointing other than that its a great machine
I ordered this as I’ve been wanting a coffee machine for a while and I loved the navy colour so thought why not! I must admit I adore it! It’s so easy to use and customise your coffee! Can use ESE pods or ground coffee. Great taste and its so easy to clean after.
What I like:
-how compact it is
-easy to set up
-the milk frother: great that it can be detached and slides into the door of your fridge. Creat great frothy milk, I’ve been using barista oat milk and it’s worked a treat.
-the amount of foam is adjustable and there is the option to just do foam.
-creates a nice Expresso with a decent amount of head. Great for cappuccino’s and latte’s and I like that there’s the option to have a double.
-easy to clean with the cleaning option
What I don’t like:
– sometimes I have to press the buttons a number of times to get it to register
– it is super stiff to lock the portafilter into place, and the machine won’t let you engage in any actions without that being fully locked.
It’s getting better the more use it gets but it was very frustrating in the beginning.
– I don’t think that the look of the machine reflects of the price poi
I have been a bit of a Philistine when it comes to coffee since I first took up the habit in my twenties. Yes, I was a late developer.
I have always favoured black instant coffee (you know the brand) topped with a dash of cold water to make it quaffable. I’ve tried various fancy coffees, but the faff never really justified the improvement in quality.
My initial experience with the One-Touch Coffeehouse was laughable, involving a lot of wasted milk and coffee, including one foaming milk spill that was reminiscent of the Steve McQueen classic, “The Blob”.
I was ready to gift this to some remote branch of the family just to get it out of my sight, but I persevered.
And now I love it. What a twist, right? I guess the star score gave it away. M Night Shyamalan I am not.
While I will indulge in an occasional milky drink, I mainly use this for Espresso using the custom function which runs the water through the ESE pod until you tell it to stop. I’m not getting the short, sharp shock of a traditional Espresso, but I don’t want it so that’s okay. Hey, you do you, I’ll do me.
I tend to plump up the ESE pod first because it seems to get more of the flavour.
Only complaint was that initially I thought the filter was broken because I just couldn’t twist it into place (also causing an amusing boiling water spill) but just brute forced it into place eventually and it’s been fine since. Either it just needed loosening up or I was plain scared of breaking something. Getting splashed with hot water will get your dander up right quick.
Speaking of which, there are multiple ways to scald yourself with this if you aren’t careful, but that’s not a criticism, per se, because you can ruin your day with a kettle as well. You just have to be meticulously careful. It’s almost refreshing that you’re treated as an adult when using this and it isn’t covered with sensors to see if you’re doing something wrong. Forget to angle the milk frothing tube right? That is going to bite you in the proverbial.
It seems expensive for what it is, but I am completely besotted with this new toy, especially now that I’m back on two cups a day, and not the half dozen I was getting through while getting used to it.
Where do I start? I absolutely LOVE IT! The one touch control means making coffee is simple and intuitive. You can chose from a single shot of latte, cappuccino or latte.
The milk frother is the highlight for me! The froth is light and fluffy but full of richness and creaminess at the same time! The machine is worth it for this alone! Seriously good stuff!
I have a selection of different sized glasses, and the adjustable tray means the glasses are at the perfect height while making a drink.
The 19 bar Italian pump really draws out the flavours of the coffee. This does mean the machine is a little loud, but nothing you can’t get used to.
There is a manual mode, which is good to have, but the pre-programmed touch controls are perfect.
It’s the showcase of my kitchen now and I’m always asking guests if they’d like a coffee just to show it off!
It feels like a professional coffee machine, which is built really well. Highly recommended.
Thank you for reading.
A lot of make-do coffee from eco-doom-plastic podules has passed under the bridge since overwork destroyed our old (competitor’s brand) ground coffee espresso maker and milk steamer. At long last, thanks to Breville’s one-touch coffeehouse coffee machine, I can finally say, “So long, the thin taste of capsule espressos! Welcome back the rich flavour of ground coffee and steamed, frothy milk!”
The one-touch coffee house may not be every home barista’s dream, but it suits us fine. There’s all the modern push-button, hands-free convenience of capsule coffee, with the olde worlde grace and flavour of espressed loose coffee and frothed milk.
The “portafilter” – handle and coffee bucket – needs to be loaded by hand with loose, ground coffee, but the machine will then deliver either espresso, latte or cappucino at the press of a button. The drink comes off the machine fully frothed and super-hot.
Breville’s home robo-barista was obviously made to look as much the part as a blue plastic kitchen worktop espresso machine can. The LED lit, chrome finish front panel goes up and over to a shiny, cup-warming, tramline-textured airplane runway on the “roof”.
I’m not sure how much of the way it works is deliberate barista styling. When it makes coffee it’s quite loud, and it’s wreathed in great clouds of whirling vapour. Atmospheric, true, but it leaves condensation on the front panel, and because steam and chipboard don’t play well together I’m not going to leave it long term on a worktop that’s overhung by a kitchen cabinet.
There’s a huge 2 litre water reservoir and removable, fridge-door-shelf compatible 600 ml milk reservoir, which adds up to the luxury and convenience of push-button espressos, lattes and cappuccinos. Even with skimmed milk the steamed froth is thick, almost chewable. You have to remove the milk reservoir to refill, but the water reservoir can be topped up in place just by removing the lid.
There is a slight issue with the “one-touch” idea, because most of the buttons involve “two-touch” dual use to switch between “standard” and “greedy” sizes.
Our main frothy milky coffee drink of choice is a BIG cup of latte. At first glance the instruction leaflet suggests the one-touch coffee house dispenses latte in either 400 ml or 550 ml. As attached photo evidence should show, the automated latte grande falls well short of the slightly oversize, roughly 500 ml cups we use. A more accurate paraphrase of the instructions would be, “will not overflow a cup of the volume ”
This is nit-picking, though. There are “custom” buttons to dispense coffee up to “americano” volume and add as much frothy milk as the reservoir will stand.
Before use the machine needs to be primed, using the “custom” buttons, with water in both reservoirs. The instruction leaflet suggests you press each button once and the water will run from the reservoir in question for a while, then auto-stop. As another reviewer has pointed out, this works with the espresso water, but the milk reservoir carries on until empty. No biggie, it’s only hot water, but forewarned is forearmed.
It’s a real pleasure to drink coffee made the way you should. At time of review the one-touch coffee house is 149.99, which I have to be honest is a bargain for its winning combination of automation and flavour.
This is quite easy to set up although when “priming” it as recommended by the instructions, the milk frother does not stop flowing automatically. Beware of this!
The machine makes good coffee although it’s noisy.
When you are removing the filter, be careful where you put your thumb, as if you’re not you can wind up pressing one of the buttons and spewing boiling water all over yourself. It would be good if there was some sort of safety device built in to avoid this.
The machine looks quite nice, but does feel a little cheap; I guess for 199 it is an average price for a coffee maker.
The milk frother is ace. I love it. To be honest, I’d get it for the milk frother alone!
