I have been using the Stone Pro for Thunderbolt 3 for a few weeks now and I am very impressed. It is very well designed and looks great on my desk. It is very easy to use and has all the ports I need. The power supply is very powerful and has enough power to charge my laptop and four other USB devices. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a great way to expand their workspace.

The Brydge hub is a serious investment, but worth the money. Does what it says on the tin.

I am using this docking station with my M1 Mac mini as a hub to help manage a dual monitor set-up, external speakers, two connected hard drives (back-up / storage) and an ethernet connection. A thunderbolt cable is included in the box, and everything is very well packaged.

The design perfectly compliments the Mac mini (and any mac for that matter) and is compatible with both Apple OS and Microsoft/Windows products. The build quality is great, being made from aluminium, and feels like it is constructed to a high standard. You can choose to rest your MacBook on it as a slight stand, or it is small enough to sit neatly in the corner of your desk (or hidden away).

Transfer speeds to/from my hard drives (both SSDs via USB-C) were fast and reliable. No issues with my monitors (both USB-C) and having an ethernet connected I also noticed great network speeds. I also appreciate that the SD card slot is on the side, but would have welcomed a USB-C port on the side as well for easier access to external hard drives, etc.

Overall, very little not to like. For my needs, it works perfectly. I enjoy having everything connected in a single place, and can finally have 2 USB-C monitors connected to my Mac mini simultaneously (as the mini only has one USB-C/TB and one HDMI output).

This is a powerhouse of a dock, with plenty of ports. It’s ideal for connecting multiple devices to a laptop, many of which have few built-in ports. I’ve been using it mostly with a Windows laptop.

It works well and performs exactly as expected, adding good functionality to the computer while keeping all of the cables neatly organised.

It does get surprisingly warm when in use, and I tend to keep it away from the laptop to avoid any issues with overheating the PC itself. The power supply is a little noisy, and also prone to producing quite a bit of heat.

That said, it is a very sturdy, well-designed piece of kit, and very useful to have.

I’ve bought this after a few rounds with various other vendors, none of which we’re able to give me two external monitors on MBP 2020 with intel.

This worked out of the box using a thunderbolt to display port and a native display to display port.

Not a flinch, boot up, straight into two external monitors at 1440p each.

Would recommend this dock 100% for what it does, it’s worth the money.

I leave mine behind the mac as it does get warm, but that’s about it.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe Brydge Stone Pro is their top-of-the-line Thunderbolt 3 docking station that is designed for the MacBook user in mind. It has a modern & sleek zinc (not aluminium) unibody design with a space grey colour, 11 port I/O and 180 watt power supply, this dock can handle many different use cases and configurations to suit, running everything through a single cable to your Thunderbolt 3 equipped laptop.

In terms of the I/O, the dock features 2 x Thunderbolt 3 (one is reserved for connecting to your laptop) (up to 5K @ 60 Hz), 1 x DisplayPort (up to 4K at 60 Hz), 3 x USB-A 3.1 ports, 1 x USB-C 3.1 (10 Gb/s), 1 x SD card (SDXC UHS-II), 1 x 3.5mm Audio in/out, 1x DC power port and a Gigabit Ethernet port. It comes with a short Thunderbolt 3 cable to connect the dock to your laptop (you might need to purchase a longer Thunderbolt cable depending on placement), and a 180 watt laptop styled power supply that is used to provide 87 watts of USB Power Delivery to charge your laptop as well as power any other connected peripherals such as phones/tablets/hard drives/displays etc. Speed of all my peripherals is as fast as possible due to the 40 Gbps bandwidth of Thunderbolt 3, so there are no concerns to slowdowns here.

One important consideration to make is the output to displays – the dock is able to drive two 4K 60Hz displays through the Thunderbolt 3 & Display Port, but it can also drive a single 5K 60Hz display through the Thunderbolt 3 port. If using this dock with multiple displays, this does not leave any room for connecting any other Thunderbolt devices such as thunderbolt based storage devices or higher speed networking (unless your device has Thunderbolt passthru’s), so it is important to consider the types of devices you’re going to be connecting.

The main issue I have with this dock is that it can get hot sometimes, even without anything too taxing attached to it. All I have attached to mine is ethernet, 3x USB dongles, and a USB-C to lightning cable to charge my phone, and it gets hot fairly quickly. The design of it is built so you can rest your laptop on top of it to raise up your MacBook or similar laptop, but with how hot it gets combined with how hot my MacBook can get on the bottom, its a recipe for heavy thermal throttling which will drastically reduce the performance of your CPU, and in turn reduce speed under load. I also checked the PSU and dock for any coil whine noise, the dock itself runs totally silent but the PSU does emit a slight bit of coil whine, but behind a desk on the floor its not noticeable at all and well within tolerance for these types of things in my opinion.

Overall, this is a good dock that just gets a bit too hot for my liking whilst in use. If kept off to the side on your desk it is not really an issue, but I certainly would not advise resting your laptop on top of it unless you want reduced performance and longevity. In terms of port selection however, this dock is certainly one of the best in class that I have seen/used, and can see it being a great solution for a variety of setups. Thank you for reading my review, if you found it helpful feel free to let me know below.

    Thunderbolt 3 multiport hub.

I was sent this in return for my honest opinion on it.

This is a handy little hub, you have 11 ports to connect hard drives, dual displays at 4k, a single display at 5k, have your ethernet directly sourced through the hub, use and access your memory cards, charge multiple devices, iOS and Android and more. Just connect to your laptop and go.

The design is quite nice, it definitely looks like that of a Macbook style. It’s well made, a little weighty, sleek and stylish. The size is roughly 21cm x 8.5cm x 1.5cm, this goes thinner at the front.

On the hub you have a mic/sound audio port, usb c and a ports, ethernet port, thunderbolt 3 to computer port, thunderbolt port, display port and SD card area.

You have a 160cm long, AC adapter power box, which plugs into the hub, then you have a 175cm long, UK plug adapter that connects to that, giving you quite a decent bit of length before your hub. Honestly I think maybe a little more than needed but it’s still good for just incase. You also get a european plug and a small thunderbolt cable.

This is a nice build and it works fast too. It’s quiet when using but it does get a little warm after prolonged use. I like the quick access to everything in one place and I definitely like the tidiness of it all. I think a power button on the box, would of been useful for myself but this isn’t the end of the world.

It is a clever and handy little hub, I would recommend it. Fantastic for dual screen displays, my monitors work perfectly through the hub. The ethernet provides a better internet connection, for if you don’t have a port on your laptop. You may need to install the drivers, this doesn’t take long. I do quite like the design, the efficiency and the versatility of it. It’s a little more than I thought it would be but I’m hoping it does last a decent amount of time.

    Handy, versatile and efficient.

    2) riscalda molto, secondo me troppo

Entrata riempiendo tutte le connessioni e sembra reggere input e output come solo i prodotti a marchio Apple riescono a fare.
