This is a great piece of machine. Never used a dryer before but this has priced useful in every sense. No longer drying on radiator when the weather is cold and wet. Only issue is, the WiFi doesn’t support special characters so I haven’t been able to connect it as I don’t want to compromise my Internet security over a washing machine convenience.
(June 2022). In less than a week I see this thing is selling for 550 – Wow. If this is a taster for inflation, I am worried. Our last Candy had lasted 11 years without a hitch (3 washings a week I guess). So I like this budget brand. The machine is being used in a holiday let.
(Update Jul 2022). One unexpected “design feature” I didn’t expect is that when the condenser is filled at the start of a drying cycle, a torrent of water runs down the inside face of the door and can soak any clothing sitting up against the door – see vid. The get around is to ensure you have made a space with the clothing in the drum or start the cycle empty, let the water run in, hit pause and open the door. Alternatively, start the drying sequence until the water has poured in, hit pause and then add your load. That is a bit of a faff though.
Pros
Quiet induction motor. Not as quiet as our 750 Samsung but way better than brushed motor machines. Very quiet when not spinning.
Intuitive dual menu system – a cinch but the icons are a bit cryptic to begin with.
10/6 kg capacity – super capacity for two double beds worth of laundry in one go.
Very good balancing system for uneven loads – a huge step up from the previous model and even the Samsung ain’t fool proof.
Quick release lock that doesn’t keep you waiting for a couple of minutes after the wash has completed. GREAT when you want to get the next washing on.
Good range of wash durations and user-defined temp and spin speeds. User are settings better than the Samsung on this point
Cons.
Only one IMO. Dryer function is OK for fluffing towels but I would not use at capacity to dry anything. For one thing a three and a half hour cycle burns a lot of electricity for a damp end result. GET THE STUFF OUT ON A LINE. However the Samsung is just as bad.
WiFi!! Sorry not a feature that stands out as a killer “must have”‘ except if you are a CIO or don’t get out much.
Like everything else, shop around but if there is a big price gap between Candy and the prestigious brands, don’t be snobby and make an investment.
Love this, so easy to install and easy to use.

Very simple to use, phone connectivity makes it even simpler to use functions with additional programs aswell, dryer works very well too, very quiet even on 11000rpm spin full load,dryer noise level almost silent.
Item is fab only one downfall had to get installation refund as they were not allowed to take off plug as it is sealed one to fix to socket as my socket is under sink,and have feed through wire and had to install myself. Washes in eco power in around 35 mins but drying takes 2hours 20mins which I don’t mind.

I have never owned washer/dryer in one so it was quite new thing to me. It was easy to figure out how to set it up (unpacking was harder), same with WiFi set up. I love the layout that is much different from my older washing machine, easy to access control panels. When using extra whitener I usually put it in powder tray and never in 10 years it has been empty, now it finally was and no tray cleaning before black clothes load. It has perfect size for our many dirty clothes that needs constant washing, clear control and easy to chose programs and best bit was short programs as I don’t have patience to wait hours to finish (that usually ends with wet clothes forgotten in drum few hours or worse – all night). Also love that it weight the load so its not overstocked with heavier gar ments. My favourite part for dryer is that I can choose how dry I would like my clothes, so don’t have to go and check them during drying cycle. Haven’t tried all programs and all functions yet but loving my new washer/dryer. Definitely recommend it.
