Purchased as a surprise birthday present for a friend who is a very good carpenter. Turns out that this is a very good box of tools according to my pal, who knows what he is talking about, made all the better by the shape of the handles apparently. Don’t know how long it will last or if there are better options etc., but he is certainly impressed and has produced some very impressive wooden bowls using the tools.
I liked the adjustable length of the tools and the size ( medium) is perfect for turning small items(pens).
This came packaged very nicely, it has come in a well made wooden case. The tools themselves I am yet to use but I will give an update once I have used them. Out of the box I notice they have been machined very nicely. They seem very high quality and the tips are of course very sharp. Looking forward to using these in the future!
At the time of writing I have used mostly the round and square tools. Both seem effective, though I have mainly been turning pen barrels from ash.
As I didnt have a way of sharpening traditional tools I invested in these and found them to be extremly good.
My first use of carbide turning and pleased with the results. Although I’ll continue with my conventional turning tools and use in combination. Good to know I need not visit the sharpening station as ofte

Everything in the package is sharp out of the box, as well as solid, sturdy and durable, and so far the set has been used for a variety of different woods without skipping or slipping a single time, thanks to the clean edges all round.
Using this for over a week now and am happy with the results. The unit itself is weighty but not too much to drag. Good grip to the handle. Included are sixty extra sandpaper patches which are held securely held in place by hooks and loops when attached. Five differing degrees of grit from coarse to fine and in my opinion are effective. Fairly simple to use when you get into the swing of it. Very satisfying.
Overall I’m happy with it and think it’s good value for money. There are way more expensive ones out there. Recommended.
It is a good product bought at fair price provided with perfectly shaped inserts. These wood-turning tools are fantastic and always make clean cuts. Now I can sharpen by staying quite far from griding. wood-turning tools did come as said with all the tools mentioned and have very sharp blades. This carbide wooden turning is provided with 2 aluminium handles which help to get replaced by simply turning the handles left and right. It has a manual to follow which allows in case of need. These tools are powerful and rust-free bcoz of stainless steel.
I decided that it was worth it. I ordered the full set of carbide chisels including the handle. They arrived sooner than predicted and inside the delivery box, each item is contained within it’s own wood box.
