We bought this Casio Keyboard for my 8 year old granddaughter. It is truly value for money with so many features and sounds. I think this is a wonderful way to introduce children to music. She loves her keyboard and enjoys the different features so she is having real fun. I think it is a high quality product especially for beginners. I will also buy from this seller again as the product arrived on time and neatly packed. Very happy with this purchase and highly recommend this specific product.
So far so good & all in good order & as expected!
Lots of fun features. Not a piano, but enjoyed by my son.
As described, perfect for beginners or intermediate learners. Lots of functions and well made and good quality.
Bought for 6yr old niece as total beginner to keyboard, but chose this model after hours of research because it has many of the functionality of a pro level keyboard.
V happy.
Oh, also when headphones plugged in the speakers are silent – that was a major requirement (most makes and models don’t have this that are around this price), as would drive my sister crazy listening to my niece practicing for hours on end. Lol
Great product for beginners, my kids are loved, also condition was excellent.
Well pleased with the keyboard and full size keys. I have had a Casio keyboard a few years ago and sorry I sold it. I have played one before but not having played one for a few years I decided to start again with being self isolated.
It will give me hours of pleasure while I am on my own. As usual excellent service from Amazon team and driver.
Stay safe.
Perfect for beginners or anybody really. Quite narrow which means it doesn’t take up a lot of space which is beneficial.
This was a gift for my grandson who is 7
It was easy to use and was value for money
Ideal for beginner. Plenty of functions to vary the sounds and rhythms. Unfortunately did not come with music stand as advertised
Easy to use, straightforward and suited for beginners. It’s a very good keyboard and I like the different styles and functions. Good buy, especially at this price!
Bought this keyboard for my 12 year old daughter. She started learning just now, she found this Casio to be a good choice and she enjoys playing.
Superb all round. 12 year old son loves it. Only gripe is the headphone jack is not standard size so an adapter has to be purchased separately.
Bought this for my 12 years old daughter. She loves playing on it. Even my 3 years old loves it.
Purchased as a gift for a friend who is a beginner. Had really good feedback so far. It is lightweight, portable and sounds really clear and amazing (according to him) so really happy with that.
Really pleased with my purchase, just what I wanted; lives up to all expectations. Nearly didn’t purchase as a previous review said that it defaulted to switching off after 6 minutes to save energy. What the review didn’t say was by pushing the tone button when switching on it does not switch off, this is actually explained in the manual. So beware reviews!
My son loves this keyboard. Perfect for children learning about music. It serves the purpose of introducing a love of music to youngsters. As a musician myself, I find the intonation is not perfect and the individual key “feel” is not like a piano. The sound is (to state the obvious) electronic.
My Grandaughter’s favourite Xmas Gift. Gradually driving the whole family crazy as it is so portable , she takes it from room to room. Playing it along with a Kazoo really adds to the ambience lol. Great well made keyboard .
Bought for my friend’s son’s birthday, months on now and he still getting the best out of it. Great sound, great build and packed with great features for the young creatives to enthuse and develop their artistic musical interest. Well recommended.
This keyboard is the best one I’ve ever had. It is very light and easy to carry around, it has nice big full size keys and it has some wonderful sounds, especially the strings. I absolutely absolutely absolutely love it!
For very little money, this is an excellent keyboard. I actually bought mine from a separate music specialist shop (G4M) at a slightly cheaper price but I’ve also equipped my Casio with the keyboard stickers as shown in the photo. The ones I used this time are –
Music Keyboard or Piano Stickers 61 KEY SET learn to play faster LAMINATED clear plastic PS1C 61
Unlike so many keyboards promoted as being ideal for beginners or those who want to move on to a more genuine, normal size keyboard, this Casio is NOT be-devilled with massive arrays of functions, options, or fancy displays. In some ways it is quite basic which, for an early learner is ideal because there is not much to distract them. Even so, there are 50 built-in melodies but, very usefully, you can choose to hear or mute the melody and also adjust tempo so that you can practise using just the backing. Or, of course, you can also improvise against it. You can also change the main instrument which plays the melody. The Casio version of ‘House of the Rising Sun’ is especially good and follows very closely the classic keyboard arrangement used by Alan Price in the famous hit by the Animals. The inbuilt rhythms are adequate and are often definitely improved by adjusting the tempo to suit your preferences. The tones vary between exceptionally good – especially for piano and organ – to a few that are not all that useful. But in general the majority of the tones are very usable, it’s just a good idea not to expect them to sound like particular instruments. (Very few keyboards get close to accurate saxophone sounds unless you pay a LOT of money). Theys have a very nice positive feel to them but, of course, are not weighted. The product descriptions on Amazon provide a lot of other information so I’ll conclude by reiterating my first comment … for very little money, this is a really good instrument which, in many ways, performs far better than many of the equivalent entry level Yamaha keyboards. It does have a few weaknesses which would have made me go for a 4 star rating if it had cost, say 150+, but for a price well below 100 I think and hope you will be as pleased with the CTK-240 as I am.
Had very little chance as yet to get really into it but I’m sure when I do I will love it!
This was a Christmas gift for our granddaughter. She just loves it and play 4 tunes already.Just great just what we wanted.
My daughter loved it
1st I bought a cheaper on from toys r us but the quality was poor so I returned it and bought this one and it is good
This Keyboard is good value for money as a basic tool for my little children to explore their creative skills which includes how quickly they could love, learn and abandon or break any item bought for them as they accelerate towards narrowing down their life’s interest / hobbies. The prize enable me to give my children a free run at the Keyboard compared to how stressful it could be for me were it to have been a premium prized version.
Good if you want to learn how to play but will need space
I received this replacement yesterday but my standard headphones will. Still not fit.ive decided to keep the keyboard but does this need another adaptor for the headphones to fit. Please advise.
Really good one of the most popular presents this yea
It’s great. Does exactly what I want from a keyboard. Full size keys and not too long so I can carry around with me and put away when not using. Nice tones to the keys and great that you can play chords with one hand while playing tune on right. Great for a beginner.
This keyboard is excellent quality for money, it includes many useable features and large piano keys that are great for learners. Produces good quality sound, is not to heavy to move around.
Purchased for my daughters birthday. Waste of money as she rarely uses it but the quality is good – build very good and the piano actually sounds like a piano. If you got it on offer like I did then well done but I would not pay full price for it. Easy to use and comes with instructions and a beginners songbook.
My Grandson was well pleased with this.
I am not a music person but this is a decent keyboard for a good price.
I was looking for a cheap keyboard with as many -large- keys as possible, and with this Casio I was completely satisfied!
My daughter loves this item, she is teaching herself to play the latest tunes via You Tube tutorials….best purchase ever!!
very pleased with the Key board it it was purchased for my granddaughter and she loves all the features
on i
Using it to practise choir music. Pity there isn’t a fitted dust cover supplied.
An excellent keyboard! What more can I say….. Highly recommend.
What a great instrument! I expected it to be a bit tinny but it sounds lovely, so many tempos, rhythms and tunes to choose from. The Residents in the Carehome are having great fun with it. They can have it playing loud enough to drown out the fact that they are playing the wrong notes!
Great product. I wanted a keyboard that was easy to use as a beginner but had enough features for advanced users. This keyoard filled the bill.
The keyboard is solidy made with good response from the keys. Volume reaches a reasonable level but would need an amplifier connection to be heard on stage or a large room. There is a good selection of instrument sounds to give variation of performance. My 12 year Granddaughter is using it to learn on and is progressing well. I use it to add different sounds to my (guitar based ) song recordings.
Bought this keyboard to help me in my composition for music theory exams. Perfect for home use.
Excellent value for what you get. I seems like it should have cost a lot more. Quite a good tune from it and lots of options to give different sounds etc.
easy to use good note sound and lots of fun for my 8 year old who is happy banging out the tunes – handy volume control!!
Keyboard arrived on time and in sound condition. The tiny person for whom it was purchased has reveled in it from the outset, especially the songs (played super loud). All told, a jolly product, a fine service courtesy of Amazon and a serendipitous ending!
Product seems great so far however I was really disappointed that the delivery driver arrived with this in the original box with no attempt made at all to cover it. My daughter is only 7 and still believes in Santa but not for much longer since she seen it delivered. So disappointed
Well priced and has many functions. BUT it was bought as a gift and arrived in a box with pictures of contents displayed all over it and my husband opened the door to the delivery announcing” there is a parcel for you here from Cassio” so surprise spoiled. Around Christmas in particular surely Cassio can put their products in anonymous packaging.
I bought this for my daughter because she’s learning to play and she seems love to it! I can’t complain.
Bought this at a discounted ‘Lightning Deal’ price rather than full price, thinking that it would make a good first keyboard for the young musical bods in our house. I checked it out online first, and there are various youtube demos of this keyboard to be found. These suggested that the sound should be adequate, so I took the plunge.
My daughter (and main user) has commented that the first tone setting gives the most natural response, but she is pleased by the range of sounds that she is able to achieve with this relatively inexpensive instrument. It is a pleasantly tactile keyboard, and is robustly constructed as far as I can tell – early days, of course. My instinct had been to hold out for a Yamaha, associating Casio with calculators, but when it comes to it I am pleased with my purchase, and would recommend this product for your consideration if you are in the market for an inexpensive and basic (in modern terms – it still has plenty of bells and whistles) keyboard. At this stage it meets my family’s needs, as none of us are virtuosos!
arrived within plenty of time for my daughters birthday. Happy with the price, and choice from amazon.
the product itself is fine and no problems at all. she doesn’t use all the functions the keyboard itself has, so can’t really comment on those. But all in all, very pleased with this purj
It is a fairly good keyboard most suited for begginers and kids, has a fairly good array of sounds. The only criticism is that it is not
touch sensitive. Otherwise a fairly good instrument.
A lovely keyboard with just the right feel on the keys.
Well worth the money. Would recommend this to anyone taking up the piano but like me hasn’t the room for a full size one.
Why do I have say something. My time is valuable also. If you think this is going to make me appreciate you more you are wrong.
This does far more than I want — I just need to pick out the tune to practise my alto parts in between meetings. It’s hard enough coping with being English in a French choir, I need all the help I can give myself. It comes with an adaptor to plug it into the mains so no need to bother with batteries, and our headphones fit into a plug at the back so I can go over and over the same phrase without driving the household mad. I could probably have managed with a child’s toy keyboard, but this might also be something our granddaughter can play on later.
I love this keyboard loads! It came quicker than expected and had no delivery damage done. It’s a great quality product and I spend hours on it learning new songs. It also came with a song book with easy songs to learn inside. Overall 10/10, amazing!
Fantastic keyboard. Bought this for my daughter’s 8 th birthday and she loves it! We all do! I used to play when I was younger so I am enjoying both her and I using it.
This is the keyboard my daughters keyboard teacher had recommended as ideal for her age group (9 -10) and she is delighted with it. Only complaint I have is not with the product but the delivery – it arrived about 3 days before it was due to and the delivery person put it in my recyling bin which I only noticed as it was keeping the lid open and partially visible – so could easily have been stolen.
Can’t complain about the price though – about 30 cheaper than Argos.
I bought this keyboard for my 12 year old grand-daughter for Christmas, as she has for some time mentioned wanting to learn keyboards. We have found the Casio CTK-240 AD to be an excellent choice both for the absolute beginner, as well as budding keyboard player. It is a well made fully contained instrument, and has a great sound. It is packed with all the features you need to make this both a serious instrument, as well as very entertaining to play. Its features include: full size keyed, fully polyphonic keyboard with split-keyboard facility; really good range of sounds including organ, piano, brass and string instruments: great range of preset rhythms, as well as a good library of popular tunes which you can play along to, or improvise. It also came with a free on-line tuition guide for the beginner. A great instrument for kids and adults alike!
This is my present to me from my husband it is a smaller key board than I though but the price was great and I’m thrilled with it.
This keyboard is perfect for anyone like me who has to accompany singers at various venues. It is extremely lightweight, easy to set up and dismantle, and has an excellent range of tones. For its size the quality of sound and the volume are surprising. Highly recommended as a portable instrument.
