We got this as we wanted more control over what the kids access to the internet. With this device we can manage their internet time across all devices from firesticks, games consoles to phone and tablets. The key features for us are the ability to set focus time which allows them access to the internet to do homework but blocks things like social media and gaming. This is especially great for my son who would sit at weekends and play to the early hours of the morning if allowed but with his bedtime set we know all he’s devices will stop working at the required time. You can also set time limits which work across all devices and will block the internet when exceeded. I know all this is mentioned in the description but as a parent using it on a daily basis i wanted to give my view. We have recommended to friends and family.
Amazing product. used to have the circle service built in the Netgear Router and I was subscribed to it. Since Netgear is not a router I can trust anymore, i replaced it with an ASUS router and went ahead and bought the Circle Home Plus second generation device and believe me I got a lot more than what was on offer with Netgear.
I have full control of the traffic coming through my internet. Kids hate it but parents love it. we know what they are doing at all time and even when they are using 4G or 5G on the phone and ipad outside the house.
You have full control on games, time, website, social media and much more. You can block, give access, partial access, time the access to an application like You tube (Ours is 2 hours per day) and much much more.
I am suing everything that is in the product description and very easy to setup and manage. I have seen some people struggling with the setup and all they have to do is call the support team and they are amazing.

This is also much more granular than V1 in that I can set times by APP as well as type for example you can have unlimited school apps, 2 hours gaming , 1 hour youtube and 1 hour tiktok and it will stop them when each runs out and you can “reward them” based individual access need IE 1 more hour of gaming or more overall time. It warns them 15 minutes before there about to run out of time or a type of time.
Good content filtering and some good categories prefiltered based on Teen or child. You can also set it so any device added to wifi is quarantined until you add it to a category or automatically added to “home category” IE bypasses circle.
The mobile piece is easy to add and it sets up an non removable VPN connection on there phone, which will also show the location of the device – so wifi or 4g they are protected.
Other cool features are “forced off times” and verable bedtime for weekdays and weekends.
A massive step-up from Disney Circle V1 > And its now enforcing habit change (which is harder to manage in 10+ year old kids when they have an IPAD or phone) this controls them perfectly > as they can work for and “earn” different types of “internet time” >
Only one feature missing , which would be REALLY helpful right now in a pandemic with children at home
– The ability to limit a category by a time from say 9-3 NO GAMES and only school site available
It cant be that hard to add and would be a killer feature. As although I can control how much game time they have during the day I cant control WHEN they have it.
Ive tried all the child content filters and even missing that killer feature this is still the best and easiest to use
If your kids take there wifi device outside of the home they’ll need the VPN installed on them too (android and IOS) and this then even works when using other peoples WIFI!
Can give this product enough stars > but please development add that killer feature and stop the kids using games /social media during the day
