I like a low powered microwave for baking mainly as it’s cheaper than putting the oven on and takes 3 minutes to bake a scone pizza base or sponge pudding (plus standing time)
I ordered this one specifically as I’m disabled and had to be able to carry it from box to worktop – which at 6kg I was easily able to do – Think I would have struggled with a normal one at 10kg.
Nice looking microwave & works fine so far – Prefer a pull handle to a door unlock button, and prefer a manual to digital as the beeps of the latter drive me mad! Just a little ding from this one when a cycle finishes – perfec
I bought the red one to brighten up my kitchen it looks good and looks more expensive than it was. I’ve only used it a couple of times and it seems goo
I recently purchased the Comfee microwave oven and I have been extremely impresses with its performance. The design is sleek and modern and fits perfectly with my kitchen decor. The controls are easy to use and overall I highly recommend the Comfee microwave for anyone in need of a reliable and efficient appliance.
I love it, it’s really easy to use because I can use it fully and never read the manual. I especially like the 30 seconds button, & that the turn dial to the left starts at 59 minutes but quickly runs down to whatever you need and takes just seconds, turn it fast and it goes down in large chunks and turn slower it goes down in slower 30 second chunks. If you need to go back up just turn back the other way. Best feature. I’ve had mine a year now working great, no rust. & you don’t have to worry about the review saying it needs handles because the open button is ‘sprightly’, there’s a whopping great handle right down the door and it pulls open and push closes, I’ve never used a button, or nearly lost a fingertip note to self, don’t read other reviews
Looks great and effective. Do NOT let your husband try to cook an egg in it. Picking bits of egg shrapnel out of the vent is not fun.
I also appreciate the thin user manual… nothing more frustrating than having to read a 200-page novel on operating a new appliance.
I ordered this microwave on the 5th and got it on the 20th because it was reduced. Its a lovely looking microwave and the pictures don’t do it justice also it is a really good microwave that heats up really quickly. The only little thing I can fault is the red is lighter on the back compared to the front but that’s just nit picking. Its a lovely microwave basically and I would recommended the next day delivery as I made the mistake of buying this one at a reduced price of 61 instead of 75 and had to wait 15 days which they did advertise ,but I didn’t read the offer so it’s my fault I didn’t get it until the 20th. All round lovely microwave.
The reason for the 2 stars is that the front of the microwave is a nice shade of cream, but the surrounding metal is a pukey shade of green. Would of sent it back if it wasn’t the worst time of year to be without one. I’ve managed to hide some of it with some of my kitchen utensils
Got this to replace my 26 years old microwave. I don’t like the clock showing the time all of the time. Unnecessary as it’s just a drain on our overpriced electricity. It’s a light unit, and compact which is perfect for my small kitchen. The defrost function is handy – especially when I’ve forgotten to take stuff out of the freezer. I always set the time manually. Turn the knob left and then turn right to get the minutes and seconds that you want. Door is easy to open, although as my work surface is slippy it’s sometimes needs to be held with both hands. However 95 percent of the time it only requires one hand. I usually wipe the door and interior with a damp microfibre cloth as it does create a lot of steam although I always find that microwaves produce a lot of steam. It’s very quiet and the rotating turntable is excellent. I would recommend this microwave especially at the low price.
I love the look of my new microwave but the plate does not fit onto the centre that turns it very well and stops turning at times. I would have given a 5 if it worked properly.
Perfect if you don’t have lots of space but it still takes a dinner plate etc lots f diff settings etc but after a few times using I got the hang of them ther review had mentioned it moves when opening door but I found if I put a tea towel down under it it was fine it didn’t move when I opened door I would definitely recommend
Got this on Prime Day for about 60. It is – as others say – a beautiful light blue which matches our kitchen decor perfectly. It is NOT green in any way.
It is a TARDIS. Small on the outside but meets all requirements on the inside: dinner plate sizes & microwaveable rice especially.
Instructions are easy to follow and the buttons etc simple to use. The handle is not metal but is perfectly robust.
I love it!
Perfect size for a small kitchen. I wasn’t looking for some huge microwave and also wanted one that wasn’t steel or black looking. This is a perfect fit and match for our kitchen. It does take longer to heat things up due to its power rating but that works fine for me.
Duck egg blue not green! Quite light weight, when you open the door you need to put your other hand on the microwave so it doesn’t move. Looks great and great value otherwise.
Arrived on time and well packaged. Lovely design and colour. Only used to reheat a few things so far and had to use a few buttons more than really necessary but once you’re used to using it it’s easy enough.
This is a good product. Looks smart, but if you don’t leave the door open, it stinks the next day. This is fine but the light stays on. If you’re not bothered about that then defo purchase.
Just taking a while to get used to settings and not a dial. Very elegant for a microwave. We got the cream. Looks grea
Does what it’s supposed too, looks great, very fairly priced. Love it.
In use for about 3 months now and I still love using it and having it in my kitchen.
I bought it purely for its design and color and I have to say that anyone who sees it for the 1st time mention it. 🙂
It works as well as you would expect, not the most simple microwave as it has some further sophisticated settings but it is very easy to use.
You can see through the front door and it lights up inside when it is in use.
The clock / timer is of bright blue light and is always on.
The color is duck egg not minty if you wondered, I have attached pictures with different objects near it so to give you an idea.
This is a basic microwave but if you don’t use all the features of the more expensive ones, why pay for them. It is much smaller externally than our previous one but it is large enough for a full size dinner plate so no problems. It is a bit strange setting the power rating and the timer with a knob but it’s OK once you get used to it. Can’t comment on reliability but a previous model was a Which Best Buy. There are comments below that say the light is on all the time, ours isn’t. There is also a comment about handles. Ours does have a handle and you use it to open the door, not with a push button.
Works well. Looks nice. Only down side is that the inside light is on permanently even when not in use. So we turn it off at the plug socket to save electricity.
Great retro microwave in cream looks nice snd matches everything else and fits my large plates in aswell
I wanted something to match my kettle and toaster that was smart, easy and not too big and this is perfec
I like this microwave, it’s smart , easy to use and does what I want it to , without fuss !
In fact could do with a couple of handles. The microwave is simple to use. Just give the timer knob a quick twist. You soon learn were to turn it to and can do it with your eyes closed so to speak, and as it’s 700 watt the cooking instructions for most ready meals is a quick four minutes, stir, then four more minutes. So it’s a quick turn of the knob, stir and another quick twist of the knob and it’s done. The microwave looks small at first sight but it’s a bit like the TARDIS inside. My large dinner plate fits in easily but looks as though it doesn’t, but it does. Very quiet and economical, BUT the thing needs a couple of handles! The door swings open so quickly and firmly when you press the ‘open’ button that it can give you a quite good rap on the knuckles and, when you close the door carefully, it snaps shut so firmly that it could easily give you a right good nip on the fingertips. Perhaps not suitable for the very elderly. Overall a jolly good buy. But needs a couple of handles.
NB. The photos on the top of the review page are NOT of the Comfee 700 watt microwave but of some other microwave that has handles.
Works nicely as a microwave, what more do you want? Has buttons and a knob, which means it’s faster to program and I have more confidence in use. One quirk is that to use the knob to set the time, it’s often necessary to turn the knob a bit backwards before then turning forwards. This is in the manual
What a lovely looking microwave, not only easy on the eye but easy to operate.
Set up is as easy as unbox, unwrap, plug in, place the turntable and plate and away you go.
The cavity is a good size easily holds a dinner plate or packet of rice with room to spare, with the internal light allowing you to check progress with ease.
The controls are a piece of cake to operate, one dial and five buttons.
Turn the dial to the right for the auto cook modes, to the left to set the timer, press start and off you go. The timer does start at 90 mins so in theory you have to wind it the whole way down for say a 6 minute cooking time, however a little trick is to turn it slightly left then right and the timer goes up from zero instead.
The button with the waves sets the power, adjust with the dial, press start to save.
The raindrop button is defrost modes, defrost either by weight or time, adjust with the dial and of course press start.
The clock button adjusts the clock or the handy kitchen timer, as usual adjust with the dial, set with start.
The button with the square clears, pauses and stops.
The start button, well I’ll let you work that one out yourselves.
Most importantly how does it cook, very well, it’s quiet, all the food came out piping hot, evenly cooked, with no hot or cold spots.
The turntable rotates as expected and is steady.
The door opens and closes with a satisfying clunk.
I debated between cream or green, went for the green, it’s a bluey type green, looks great with the contrasting black of the writing.
Overall impression, it’s great.
Am I pleased, you betcha.
Don’t usually get 700w microwaves so still adjusting but does the job, easy to use.
Both items do the job they’re supposed to do – kettle boils quickly and microwave is easy to use.
Got this so I wouldn’t go insane over a complicated interface when I just want to warm up some soup.
It’s nice and simple
Everything’s a big dial and it feels sturdy. I’ve had no issues with it yet and my elderly parents didn’t need a 10 hour course on how to use it either.
We wanted a basic no frills microwave oven. This is perfect. Easy to use. Does the job beautifully. Highly recommended at a great price too.
It fits in really well with our kitchen decor. It’s very easy to use and the instructions is simple enough to follow.
It fitted in my kitchen just right, perfect colour and easy to use
Does exactly what it says – a perfect compact microwave
I bought it as it was a Which? best buy, and seemed very good value.
The positives:
1) It heats the food well
2) Its a good size
3) Its fairly simple to use
4) Its cheap
The negatives:
1) the ventilation seems to be poor. Condensation quickly builds up. However, you can leave the door ajar afterwards, and the light doesn’t stay on.
2) It emits a faint unpleasant smell when in use. But its faint enough it doesn’t bother me.
3) The timer dial doesn’t allow any precision with shorter durations, ie below 2 minutes
Excellent quality for the purchase price lovely colour would recommend
My elderly mother has very low eyesight and memory problems so I needed a microwave she could use easily. This ticks those boxes. She has learnt very easily how to use it and because there is a raised indicator line on the time dial, she can use the timer even if the minute markers are difficult for her to see.
The one issue I have with this microwave is that the glass plate and turntable ring are very unstable, and come off too easily. They are also fiddly to put back in place, which my mum can’t do. This means that unless I am there to rectify it, if she used it again, the turntable would not function properly.
But in the whole, a decent microwave for an elderly person.
Product very good.
I was out with note on door instructing delivery next door. Did he? No! Left it on my doorstep for 2 hours and lucky for all it was there when I returned. Not an uncommon practice unfortunately.
WHICH Best Buy. No advanced features, but heats well and evenly.
Needed a microwave so checked Which and this was listed as a best buy
