Product was delivered quickly. Some difficulties with adhesion initily, use of white spirit is needed to clean the walls and waiting 10 seconds before removing pressure helps a lot. Tend to use more strips than reccomended for security. No removal of wall paint observed.

Exactly as described. No catches. Follow the instructions and they will work perfectly fine.

For any concerns about their effect on paint once removed, I removed 2 on a wall painted only 11 days prior and there was no disturbance to the paint.

Great for using on walls and not leaving holes for hooks that need to be filled. Doesn’t leave any residue on painted wall after removal.

After having a nightmare trying to get flags and other fabric items to stay up with blu tac, I tried these for them and they work like a charm! Although I can’t vouch for their effectiveness with heavier items.

I also wouldn’t recommend using them to stick up posters or card (this mostly applies to ones designed for that purpose though) as one time I used them and it bent a print rather badly/ripped it.

Great for tapestries and other fabric items.

Since moving to a new house we have used these loads. No drilling, no mess, easy on and easy off, If you use appropriate size and amount then I’ve had no issues with adhesion. And when you move stuff? no holes to fill and decorate. Maybe don’t hang a priceless Van Goff on them? but everyday stuff then they fit the bill.

Really good product but so expensive for what they are. Remember that you need two pairs minimum for each picture, a pair in each top corner of the frame, or if it’s slightly heavier you need four pairs per picture. Gets expensive quickly.

I used a pack of 12 to hang up 3x 30x40cm Ikea Ribba frames. According to the instructions I could have only used just 2 strips for each frame. However, was really concerned it might fall off and therefore wanted it to be extra secure. It does the job. However, because the Ribba frame edges are thinner than the strips, I was not able to take them off the strips, press them in and leave them for an hour as instructed. However, still seems to be fine at the moment. Way better than using nails or ruining walls. It is quite expensive but this is definitely the way forward. Will be using these for future frames too.

I have used these to put painted canvases up in the hall; and framed photos my partner took up in the front-room — it is soooooo much easier than having to hammer about with nails, and put marks into the wall. I initially put the framed photos up incorrectly but because you can move these with ease I was able to move how I had them on the wall without difficulty. I love them, I’m buying some more as I have more framed photos to put up — and I’ve recommended them to my family

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHaving used these strips for multiple projects and picture hanging I have found them after time to be unreliable.
At first they are extremely adhesive and hold really well , after a few months I have found that they tend to lose that adhesion and peel from the walls, causing items to drop off.
I never use more than the recommended weight while using these strips and very often use upto 3 or 4 on any given picture / canvas frame, they work in the short term but my comments above should be something to bear in mind if hanging valuable items of wall art etc

I love these strips and use them for all my pictures and canvas paintings. They stick well even to wallpapers and textured walls. Sometimes I use two or four sets depending on weight or wall type. Bought these on deal of the day at 5.99 so great value.
Easy to remove, which I was happy about as I started to repaint the dining room last week, no marks and no stickies left at all. I was even able to reuse some due to their stickiness on a flat painted wall.
Perfect if like me you are in a rental accommodation. I love having family pictures and art work on my plain walls.

  48. Anonymous says:

Okay, so – the supplied instructions make the process unnecessarily confusing. Simply make a pair of strips, sandwich them together like velcro, take off one side of paper to stick the strips wherever you like on your frame or mirror or whatever, massage the strips quickly to warm up the adhesive then remove the other side of the paper to press the whole thing onto the wall.

Bought these for a lightweight a3 frame, I cut the strips in half lengthways as they were far too wide (my mistake for not getting the narrow version) and for this I definitely only needed two pairs of strips. Honestly, even just one pair cut it half would’ve probably been enough. I also put up a full length IKEA mirror that weighed 10lbs (4.5kg) and used 3 pairs of strips due to its length, might’ve been overkill but rather safe than sorry. The hold feels very secure but time will tell.

The main warning I’d give, is be certain where you’re putting things before you start. These are very strong and you’re not able to put them up and move them around. Have someone help you by holding the frame or mirror on the wall for you to decide where you want it, mark the top and sides lightly with a pencil or something so you are confident to put it up the first time. Simply ripping the strips off the wall to reposition them will most likely take a patch of your paint off as they are NOT designed to be removed this way.

Used with plastic screening on the vinyl window frames of a rental property. Work very well to hold the screening securely. Can unhook and reattach the screen material easily (pull or push in firmly to the hooks/loops) to adjust the window opening. Note that after time any Command hooks will remove paint from surfaces (from drywall etc). Using on vinyl or metal is safer.

Use with plastic screening for quick fix; exactly what was needed

The instructions on the back are pretty poor, they over-complicate what is a very simple matter. I have used these to stick up some canvas prints on newly painted walls, and they have worked great. i have not tried to remove them, so can’t comment on this feature. Overall, I would recommend. Like everything, use some common sense regarding what weight to hang off it. Anything you stick to a wall will come off if it’s too heavy.

This is fantastic, I saw the mixed reviews and was very worried about some of my frames (which were custom made and I would have cried if they smashed) but all my frames have been hanging for three weeks without any issues. I would stress that you need to follow the weight guidelines and the instructions!! I tend to not read instructions and almost put it on wrong, you have to wait for the wall strip to set before you attach the frame! And the strips come off nice and clean even on our water base painted walls.

I have really hard walls and struggle to make a decent hole without it going horribly wrong. I would normally be suspicious of something like this as you wonder how it can possibly hold a reasonable picture up. Let me reassure you that I have now used these strips several times with no problems – they really do the job. The secret is that you do your homework and buy the appropriate strip to suit your size and weight of frame and then ensure you use enough of them to cope. Now my go to method for hanging pictures and even clocks and smoke detectors
Real easy to use., peel press on and press to wall, take off picture and then put pressure on remaining strips, reattach picture. , need to move the picture elsewhere, take off wall leaving strips on back of picture, get some more strips to cosy up to the picture strips and put in new position, you’ve then only used half the strips again.

I was recommended these by a friend who swears by them but after reading the completely polar reviews I was really torn. However after biting the bullet and trying them out, I’ve realised all these negative reviews are likely by people who did not follow the instructions at all and man handled the crap out of them. My only problem i had was 1 out of 6 strips not adhering fantastically well to the wall but i imagine that’s down to using vodka to clean the wall, as I didnt have rubbing alcohol.

  88. MayaStovall says:

They work! They’re a little fiddly to use, seeing as you have to line up their position on the frame additionally to where you want it on the wall, but there’s a reasonable margin for error.

Be careful with smaller frames as you can end up having the strips slightly visible from certain angles.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI must admit I have never seen these before and bought some out of curiosity after reading many positive reviews. On the face of it they looked very much like Velcro strips but actually they have lots of little plastic pins with heads arranged in such a way that they lock into each other when pressed together. As a result you only get one type of strip in the packet and not a pair like hook and loop/Vecro. They also have a bendy foam strip on one end that’s used to easily pull the strips apart from each other.

They actually don’t feel overly sticky/tacky but this means that the ‘drag’ potential is much lower with these strips and their surface area strength is going to be quite high, so, they are more likely to stay where you put them. Apparently they can be removed from paint without causing any damage. I’m inclined to believe this but haven’t left any of the them on a painted surface for long enough to verify these claims.

They are available in various sizes and also available in black which wasn’t obvious when I purchased my first pack. You so get several more strips in the Medium size strips pack (20x) compared to only 8 in the Large size strips pack. There difference in size between the strips themselves is not that significant though.

I also managed to use these to attach a Leap Motion controller to a HTC Vive Pro and was able to remove the strips without leaving any tacky residue on either. Definitely not what these strips are designed for but proves they have other potential uses outside of mounting pictures to walls!

    Pros:
    – Easy to use
    – Very strong
    – Beats drilling holes
    – Available in different colours and sizes

    Cons:
    – Far less strips in the Large strips pack

    Excellent mounting strips

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe two part velcro idea is brilliant, it holds the hanging object in the direction it needs to hold, but it can still be separated easily. to remove form the wall temporarily, or to relocate.

I haven’t tried the damage free removal part yet, I get the impression the pads are not re-usable after that. However the 2 part nature of these would mean you only need to replace the wall half if you want to relocate a picture.

I used these to mount two 6′ high movie cutouts on the wall. Once everything was prepared, it was really easy to mount them on the wall, the pads stuck first time and where I wanted them, and there were no “false sticks” along the way.Peeling the backing was easy too

They are a little pricey though, I used the whole pack on my cutouts, you could probably hang 6 small A5 framed pictures with these, or 3 medium sized A4-A3 framed pictures. You could also mount 12 flat objects, such as letters or numbers

This is a great item and I managed to stick pieces of wood to the wall. Does exactly what is says. BUT, be careful! I did not realised this was a and and subscription item until I received a packet in the post without me ordering it.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI love command strips – I had pictures around my flat for two years which stayed perfectly secure on these strips. I doubled up on a couple of heavier frames – I don’t know if this was necessary, but it made me feel a bit more secure about them. None of the strips had any problems over those two years. Then, when it was time to take them off, I followed the instructions and they haven’t left so much as a mark on my white walls. Brilliant for renters – really recommended!

Love command strips now. Won’t use anything else! So easy to apply and use and can peel off without pulling off paint and then can reposition. We repositioned 3 times with one picture and it still stick fine.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have used two each on some small lightweight pictures (20 x 20cm) over my bed (eeeekk) and so far after a week of hanging I haven’t had any fall on my head during the night. Hehe 😉

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI use 2 medium picture hanging strips to hang 30x40cm wooden frame pictures.

Easy to set up and they hold fast on pained plaster walls.
