This is the second wireless camera I’ve bought and have been really happy. Easy to set up and install plus works really well. The app is good too, allowing all your cameras to be easily accessed in one place too. Also like the fact there is no subscription like other products.
Product has been in use for a few weeks now and no issues. Easy to install,great value for money. Easy to amend sensitivity and area to cover for motion detection. Clear pictures. Only gripe would be the app which isn’t the best – Cloud Edge -updated android version of original app due for release at end of year apparently.
I had no experience of these cameras, bought this one to try. Excellent product, needs to be charged before use. Fairly simple to connect to wireless network and phone. Using the remote pan and tilt facility I was able to mount it and cover both front and back doors due to house layout (Not at same time obviously). Easy to remove for recharging, may add solar panel later for charging. Time will tell regarding reliability but 2 year free warranty seems very reasonable.
As I have a corner house I needed a pan battery powered camera and this one ticked all the boxes (have been looking at loads of different models for the past month). This one I can see the lane far right, my cars center and my garden far left, also the kids love it when I’m working and I can speak to them via the camera. Although I haven’t yet attached the camera to the outside wall of the house, I have got everything working and am pleased with the clarity of the pictures and pleased to see the sensitivity of the motion detection is much greater than I thought it would be.
Overall, I am very happy with the quality of the camera after seeing the results on my phone. Well done.
Bought this to replace a fixed wireless camera in which the battery had failed after a couple of years. I’m well into my eighties and had no problems installing and coupling up the unit. That app on ios was excellent and appeared to be almost the same as Cloudedge. The extra bonuses for me were the tilt and pan as well as free access to a basic cloud account. What’s not to like!
This is easy to set up, super easy to screw to the eaves of the roof due to the bracket which others do not have. I purchased a seperate solar panel and it keeps it topped up a treat. I’m that impressed with this camera I have bought another one, solar panel included, but from Ebay this time…..I would highly recommend this camera…..
This camera came well packaged. It looks well and was so simple and easy to put up. Very secure when in place and very easy to unclip to recharge. The picture quality is good day and night. Easy to install the app which has worked with no issues and is installed on more than one device. Would recommend.
I bought this after giving up on a Yale camera which was impossible to set up. This was an easy set up, easy app and clear picture. Sound is good too and you can switch motion detection on or off. Knocked one star off because you need to take the entire camera off to recharge which is a bit annoying but worth it for a cordless camera
I have two of these now, both have solar panels and they have been absolutely great. My phone pings when they sense movements and records photos and several seconds of video. I have use the voice communication button many times to talk to family at home from work, and delivery drivers. I will definitely be buying more. Great seller, great service great product.

Had this security camera for over a week now and so far quite pleased with the results especially for what I paid.
First thing I had to do was charge up the camera indoors and install the app on your phone. I should point out that I was forced to use the CloudEdge app as the default COOAU app you were directed to in the instructions no longer exists on GooglePlay (if using an Android phone) The CloudEdge app appears to work though and does everything I would expect it to
Using the app you could then measure the wi-fi signal to your camera and you were advised to do this when selecting where you were going to install the camera outdoors. A strong wi-fi signal is required although where I have it installed I’m getting about 70% signal which is fine.
After initial set up on my phone by installing the app, I can connect to the camera live feed from my phone and even rotate the camera from the phone (PTZ) albeit quite slowly. Note this can be done from anywhere your phone has access to internet so doesn’t even have to be at home. As well as live footage you can view any footage recorded when the motion detector has been triggered.
The motion detector can be configured from the app and so far there has been a few cases (out of probably 50 or so) where it hasn’t picked up people in its range. By default, it is set up in the app to detect human sized objects only so I’ve tried switching this off to see if this improves the hit rate. In addition, you can change the sensitivity of the detector so I guess it may just be trial and error to find the sweet spot.
Battery life has been OK. I’ve lost about 15% in a week although I was probably looking at the footage more in the last week than I would do normally (footage is watched on the app using micro SD card in the camera). I would say 4 to 6 weeks it to be expected rather than the 4 to 6 months stated although the figure they’ve stated may be based on over 90% wifi signal at all times. The 4-6 weeks recharge is fine for me though and you can always buy the solar panel for it if you don’t want to have to recharge it ever
I currently have the footage being recorded to the micro SD card only although there is the (paid for) option to have it uploaded to the cloud if you want extra security from having additional copies and in case the camera itself gets stolen. I have put the camera out of most people’s reach, as advised.
At night the pictures are in black and white but the image is still good. Once motion is detected the in-built light will switch on and the image changes to colour. There is an option to have the light on all the time at night although I suspect this would drain the battery much quicke

I bought two of these for my daughter’s home as she lives alone. Very easy to set up, the instructions are clear and they are excellent. She can operate both cameras from her phone, zoom, tilt and turn and voice contact. Very good colour resolution as well.
She does have a small two bedroom house and excellent broadband connection, how they would work in a large property I couldn’t say but for her, brilliant.

I have only one query which I can’t satisfy/resolve myself. Within motion detection I’ve created an alert plan, to reflect recording & receiving notifications during nighttime hours. For some reason my camera, does not seem to record outside of these hours ? I would’ve assumed it decided 24/7 but I just adjusted when it “alerted me” please could you advise ?
I had ordered and installed this PTZ camera on my great experience of having purchased one the last year as well. This is for my front garage and main door view monitoring. Indeed, both the camera set up and functioning are super easy. Added to this are the superb innovative and high quality features such as clear night vision, motion sensor, double-alarm, memory on cloud, two way audio exchange and multi-user sharing help control, operate and monitor the camera for greater security alert round the clock. The battery is also powerful and last very long with just one charge. On the top of everything else, it is wireless which saves enormous time and is easy to set up on the wall under just 15 mins. The pan and tilt function is seamless. Overall, I am glad that I can now monitor my garage door, use the tilt and motion function to check the front door and my garden passage door ! Great unit !
This is the fourth COOAU camera I’ve bought. The main reason is that the others have all worked exactly as I wanted; and I’ve had no issues with them, so there was no reason to look elsewhere. A key advantage of brand loyalty is that they can then all run on the same COOAU camera app. This camera has high-end features and looks super-smart — a great deterrent to any would-be burglar.
The camera arrived quickly and was packaged very neatly. Setup instructions are clear and fixings are included in the box. We decided the best location to site the camera, so then it was down to configuration.
I have installed a number of smart devices on my WiFi recently, most of which used 2.4 ghz rather than the 5 ghz standard. All the others required me to disable the 5 ghz on my router for installation, although I could re-enable it once things were working. The COOAU camera worked first time without this fiddling; and as I had already installed the COOAU software, the installation was completed literally in a couple of minutes.
There are a lot of software settings to play with, simply by selecting the camera in the COOAU software, then setting the options as required. We are wall-mounting ours, so we tested the camera (hand-held) and software options before final installation. We were very impressed by the daylight picture quality and the range of the pan / tilt / zoom. We tested the night vision, too, which was great. I’ve included a video of this to demonstrate. (We downgraded the picture quality to reduce the file size).
All in all we’re very happy with our purchase.

This camera has many fantastic features including 2k resolution, night vision, lights, microphone and also a new siren alarm which can be played remotely from the app when needed.
I have been using this camera to monitor the front of my home as there has been reported damage to vehicles in our area and this provides the extra deterrence as well as safety when it comes to protecting your items.
I really like this camera. I have bought other battery operated cameras from the same brand because the cameras are reliable and are well made and the battery life is second to none. This camera like the other Cooau cameras is so easy to set up. It is a breeze and pretty self explanatory once the cloud edge app is installed it is one of the easiest to set up I would say and very intuitive.
The quality of the materials the camera is made out of are solid and the product itself is well made. Also the image quality is very clear and the sound is pretty good too. There is this very useful LED spot light that comes on in the dark when motion is detected. The light is bright and directional according to where motion is detected. The battery lasts a very long time.
The camera can be left without worrying about having to charge it up all that often. The design itself is elegant and simple. The SD slot is placed in a good position and it is very easy to slip an sd card in and out and there is a covering to protect the card itself. The fixtures as good and make it flexible to fix the camera up anywhere. The camera can move in different directions which is another excellent feature.
Also I have found the support from Cooau is very good. They reply quickly and make every effort to sort everything out so one is in good hands and I have no hesitation in recommending this camera.
I don’t often leave reviews but in this situatin I feel I need to. COOAU products in general I have found to be reliable, easy to set up and good quality. The reason for my review is to compliment COOAU on their brilliant customer service. I have been dealing with a representative called Fairy, and they have been so helpful. From the moment I reported the issue and they responded very quickly, we then had a few more emails and they always responded within hours of my messages. Throughout the process they were clear and concise with the checks they were doing, and providing advise on what I could try at my end. Finally they have resolved the issue by sending me a replacement device. An absolutely brilliant service and to be honest very refreshing with all the poor customer service currently out there. The COOAU security camera is a great device at an affordable price. The device uses a rechargeable battery for power that lasts for many weeks without a recharge.
The setup process is simple and easy and due to the device being battery powered it can be setup in minutes anywhere without wiring or hassle as long as you are within range of a WiFi network you have access to.
The device captures 2K Video and has 360 PTZ capabilities. It’s IP66 rated so perfect for outdoor use, even here in Scotland and it features a Spotlight, Siren and two-way audio.
Once setup on your phone using the mobile app, you can access a live feed of the device, you can enable PIR Human Detection so that it alerts you on your phone when someone is in the vicinity, you can set it to sound an alarm and you can talk to people from your phone via the camera.
Price is fair and reasonable for the quality and functionality provided and overall I think it’s a good value for money purchase.
I bought this camera recently I am really pleased with my purchase.
I have bought a few number of cameras for my home & this has by far got the best quality in terms of clarity. The 360 degree motion is also very helpful to keep all areas around it secure & to be able to see everything that is going on. The camera also comes with motion detection where i have the choice to be alerted at my own set times of the day where i possibly wouldn’t be expecting anyone to pass by the camera. This helps further as it allows me to quickly be able to respond in case of burglars. Lastly, the camera also has night vision which is to a high standard & shows all surroundings very clearly.
I would definitely recommend this to other people looking to buy a high quality camera for security & surveillance.
Having already bought 3 Cooau cameras and operated them for a number of years, during which they have proved reliable and easy to access, choosing this product was natural. In addition, I have found that the Cooau customer service is quick to respond and very helpful, even with minor queries.
This camera comes with a charging cable (but no charger); like most people, I have bags, literally, of these already, so that didn’t cause any concerns. It also comes with screws and plugs, which I didn’t use. A micro SD card (max size is 128Gb is supported) is required to be purchased separately; I used a Class 10 Full HD video spec card, which is working well. The enclosed set up and installation leaflet is easy to follow and sufficient but also has a QR code to download a more comprehensive manual if needed. There is also a QR code to download the Cooau Cam app, in fact one for Android and one for iOS, but these are easily found in the relevant stores as well.
Once installed, the camera is easy to access and control through the app, and this also allows selecting and setting a host of user preferences. I have left most of these “as is” and only tweaked a couple. The camera has been in use for around 3-weeks and I have had no issues. The camera comes with a little bracket that allows it to be mounted either on a vertical wall, or on a horizontal surface with the camera below. Both then permit the camera to be slewed and rotated through two axis. Motion detection along with event recording is working well. Battery life, as far as I can tell so far is looking good.
Points to note – the camera doesn’t work with Alexa etc, but only through the Cooau apps. I did find that my existing app does not support this new additional camera. I contacted Cooau and they informed me that the Cooau Cam app, and the Cloudedge app will support both camera types. As my existing cameras are attached high up on the outside of my house, and are working fine, I am not inclined to look at consolidating them into one app right now.
This camera was bought to serve as a “front door” cam but I haven’t been able to install it in that position due to on-going building works. However, I have installed it in my garage where it makes a great addition to my existing security system. I will relocate the camera once I am able to do so.
This is my second camera from this company, the first one which is still on sale on Amazon(older model) was the best after trying 4 other security Cams,i have had for a few years, the quality of it and the excellent battery life of old one was impressive and the best out of 5 so I was tempted to get the newer model.
This Camera is bigger and better, it rotates and has improved picture quality, i also noticed that the motion detection is more accurate and sensitive ,it picks moving objects earlier than the old camera did.
The images are clear day and night ,it gives you the choice of only triggering al alert on your phone or switching on an LED light(Very bright, had halos around my eyes after accidentally looking at them) or light and Siren which is very loudly old camera only triggers phone alerts so this a marked improvement as a deterant to intruders at night.
I think I would always now go for one that can tilt ,motorised as it gives you the option of checking all the surroundings and the is minimal lag if any between the command and response(also depends on your network speed).
I have one criticism of the design of the base to which it attaches, it is a click on so you have to press it hard to clip on and pull hard to pull off( you will have to do this every 2-3 months to charge it, my old camera lasted just under 3 months)now if you are doing this on a ladder or from a side window it is awkward and you may just drop it while pulling if it slips ,i would suggest a click mechanism that operates by pressing a plastic leaver that releases the camera from the lock then it clips on again and that will make it so much more user friendly ,other than that this is a superb qualit camera from a company that I have tried from before .
Had to contact Cooau support as camera stopped functioning after moving (up to that point was very pleased and have 2). Fairy in Support went through standard troubleshooting but in end arranged a replacement which came within a few days. Very happy and would definitely buy again and support very responsive and supportive to achieve the best outcome.
Only reason gave overall 4/5 is due to fault that developed and needed a replacement, however support would remain a 5.

Brought these camera to replace an older system and so far we are very happy with it and intend to get one more to place in our back garden .
Simple to mount externally and so easy to setup and configure , no cables required.
Do recommend if you are looking for an easy to DIY fit and self monitoring on the app.You can also subscribe to a cloud service which will keep all your video data safe . Once the free trail for storage is finished , 7 days trial is free , I will subscribe as I think it’s value for money . It does not came with a SD card .
Love the 360 rotation which allows me to scan around the front garden , as I have a side entrance as well . This feature is very usefull ,in special after your house has been burgled and you are a bit paranoid and feel insecure all the time , even when you are away .
Clear picture and video , day and night . You can costumize motion detection zone , it does have two way audio .

I needed to replace a damaged camera and was looking for one that had a motorised swivel option. This looked the best option. Set up was a breeze with very easy to follow instructions provided in the Cloud Edge app. This process took less than 2 minutes – add another 10 minutes for the installation and hey presto, one fully operational camera.
Video quality is excellent for both day and night vision with excellent distance resolution. Although there is a cloud based video storage option, I opted to use an sd card which was very easy to install and will provide adequate storage space. All in all I am a very happy with my purchase.
I have been looking to replace my front of house camera for a while but wanted a camera with better picture quality and a “nice to have” was a camera with PZT functions Note this is only Pan and Tilt and not Zoom.. Having used the Cooau doorbell for a few months which I have been happy with I went for the Cooau 2K 360deg camera. I have been using this camera for about a week now.
The camera is smaller than expected and while plastic feels well made. The image quality is great, much better than my previous one.
In the box, you get a USB cable, screws and wall plugs, a sticky guide for drilling holes, a bracket and the camera plus the instructions. Setup is about as simple as it gets. Make sure your phone is connected to your 2.4GHz wifi, download the app and follow the instructions. Setup takes about a minute, and you are ready.
I have a 16GB SD card in my camera but there is also cloud connectivity to store photos and video if you want that extra security. One of the great features is that you can set up an alarm area. What this does is places a grid on the area the camera is looking at and you then mark off what part of the area you want to have monitored for monition. My previous camera just had motion detection on everything in view so people walking past could trigger it off so took some playing about with settings. Now I can exclude the footpath.
PZT is a great feature as I can look directly down at the door if needed or can tilt up if I want to see more. Something I missed when reading the spec and other reviews is that at night 2 lights come on when motion is detected to illuminate the area so if anyone thinks it’s a dummy camera are going to be mistaken.
Night time quality is pretty good too and an improvement over the last camera.
The charging port on the camera is at the back and has a cut out in the centre of the rubber cover to allow just the end of a USB cable to be plugged in while keeping it watertight. I am planning on getting a solar wall mounted charger so I don’t have to get the ladders out every once in a while to charge.
Overall the quality is good, setup and installation was easy. Picture quality is excellent.
Very easy to set up, just point the camera at the code in the app and that is it you are ready to go! Wall mounting is simple just 3 screws to fasten, really like the option to pan the camera which you can do via the app on phone to have a look around. I already had 2 cooau cameras but this new one is a great improvement with the panning. Picture and sound quality are good, for night time you can choose full colour or nightvision option. Very good human detection as it does not pick up vehicles unless someone gets out. Would recommend these cameras as you can build a complete security system by adding to the app whenever you like. I have always wanted to get a wireless camera that was easy to operate and install, this camera was well packaged and easy to read step by step instructions, I have a wired one that is not that good picture quality not good but this one was so easy to install picture quality first class and I can turn it 360% from my phone which is great for me to can keep an eye on my car at night while its parked up at night and during the day I can see who comes in the gate or at the door and speak to them without having to get up to answer the door if I don’t have to. The speaker is very clear you can hear everything. I also the motion sensor especially at night it beams a very bright light if someone or something comes within a certain location. I am so happy with my purchase and have peace of mind that my property is protected when we need it to be, I would recommend this camera to anyone looking for a wireless camera
I have had quite a few different security cameras over the years and I am really impressed with this camera.
Set up of the camera was very simple and straightforward. Unlike other cameras, there wasn’t even a requirement to connect the camera directly to the wi-fi router itself with an ethernet cable, which was a bonus.
To get started you need to download the Cooau Cam App on Android or ISO which took a few seconds. Once installed it was just a matter of following the on-screen instructions, which were simple and clear. I chose the option of connecting the camera to wi-fi by showing the camera lens itself a QR code that was generated on my smartphone within the Cooau app, i simple lifted my phone to the camera lens and after a couple of seconds the camera read the QR code and played a tune to acknowledge it had registered. It was all complete within a minute or two.
Once connected to the app and wi-fi all that is left is installing the camera to your wall or ceiling. Supplied in the box is a packet of screws and wall plugs and a drill screw guide (see attached images) to make installation a breeze. Don’t forget at this point to also install your micro SD card if required (maximum 128GB) before securing to a wall. It is best to ensure your sd card is a high quality, class 10, for maximum performance.
Once thing to note in terms of installation, a USB cable is only supplied inside the box and no wall plug. The USB cable is quite short, but can be easily extended using your own USB cable. A simple USB wall plug is required to complete power to the security camera, should you wish to have a constant direct power supply.
Once installed, the app itself is responsive and displays a clear HD image from the camera (see attached images). I love the fact this camera has ‘PTZ’ functionality – enabling you to rotate the camera left and right, up and down from the app itself.
One key feature about this security camera in particular is it has a built in battery, allowing you to monitor your property without a constant power cable. According to the manufacturer, upon a full charge, the battery can last 4 to 6 months, depending on usage and the amount of security alerts, although I am yet to confirm this. The app will alert you when the power has reduced to 20% automatically. This option is fantastic for those who do not have access to a constant power supply nearby and who can simply charge the device once and then leave it for a few months. The camera will still need to be connected to a wi-fi signal, regardless whether a constant power supply is provided or not.
Overall I am very happy with this camera and love the fact it includes two key features, PTZ functionality and an included battery for easier installation.
Having had Cooau Security Cameras in the past I decided to upgrade to this latest model. Once again Cooau have done a fantastic job with this camera. The picture is unbelievably sharp, very impressive. The PTZ function is great as is the new spotlight function. You will notice that I have the Cooau solar panel connected to my camera, this is available separately and doesn’t come with the camera. Also you’ll need to buy a MicroSD card. The app is extremely easy to use, and setup is simple. If you’re looking for a great quality, feature packed security camera, this is it.
The camera is impressive, in its build and its functionality. What really sets it apart from others that I have used is the quality of the app. It made setting the camera up very easily. Controlling the pan-tilt-zoom through the app was very easy. The quality of the picture is impressive, even at full zoom, and the WiFi connection is stable. Two-way audio is also clear and responsive.
Motion detection alerts are timely and accurate and the overall quality of the picture is impressive. It was easy to mount the camera. The battery life on it seems very good so far as well. For outdoor use, but we are using it indoors for now and I will look to purchase another for outdoor soon. Very impressed with it overall.
I took this video in total darkness. The night vision is amazing. It can more or less pick up all the letters on the Snellen eyechart. It also has a function to put the light on the camera which is very powerful and that allows the camera to pick up colour where its totally dark. It also has a keypad on the app that allows you to move the camera from side to side, up and down and adjust it to your desired position without having to go and mess around with the camera. I’d recommend using the cloud edge App as that’s got a few more options and worked much better for me. The camera has the option to take snap shots and to record video and then to share it from the saved album via methods like WhatsApp, email etc which i love. The day time recording is excellent and has the FHD option and it accepted the maximum capacity micro SD card (128gb) which you just need to format in the APP after inserting it. The intercom on it works perfectly and is clear enough to make out the voice and the motion detection is spot on and has always picked up on the slightest motion. Also there’s a feature which I love where you can select the area you want the camera to pick up movement from, eg for my garden I’ve deselected all the area of the sky as i didn’t want it to give me alerts for every bird that flew by . There’s also an alarm function to scare of any intruder and it can be activated from the APP and it’s very loud. The mounting bracket is very simple to put onto and to take the camera off from to charge it when required. It works pretty much like their doorbell app where it will record when it picks up on movement that way it saves battery and you can view live footage through the app at any point. You can view the charge left on the battery through the APP. So far I’ve used it for over a week and the battery has hardly gone down. Although if one was to use the light function and excessively view live video then I’d expect it to go down faster. Remember to fully charge the device upon purchase and to set it all up with the WiFi before installing it onto the wall as initially you need to be next to the router to set it up.
Easy to install and set up – less than 30 minutes from out of the box to being fitted and connected. The instructions provided are clear andeasy to follow as is setting up the wireless connection, just ensure the camera is near to your Wi-Fi Router when you do this. Great picture quality, both day and night and a big improvement on a previous COOAU wireless camera which this model has just replaced,. In particular the nightime colour (aided by the built in spotlights which can be set to come om automatically) is really clear.
The camera position is easy to control remotely using the app, allowing you to rotate the camera position and angle and the App itself is fairly intuitive and has lots of easily adjustable settings including the sensitivity of the motion detection to avoid lots of false alarms – worth experimenting with this until you are satisfied. SD card is easily fitted to store video/photo (there is a Cloud storage option that is free to try for 7 days) and you can adjust the duration the camera records after being activated. To avoid the need to re-charge the batteries mine is connected to the Solar Panel from my old wi-fi camera but note this isn’t included but there are various power saving settings within the App to prolong battery life.
The device can also be shared with a partner via the App either as view only or with full control so they can also recieve alerts, view video/photo footage and check the camera and there is a Voice Intercom on the Camera controlled via the App which allows you to speak to someone at the door (or warn somebody off) and an alarm/siren that can also be set to go off automatically if required.
Been using for about 3 weeks now and no problems or issues – Would definately recommend over some pricier wireless outdoor cameras.
Easy to install and set up. Great picture quality, day and night time and a big improvement on a previous COOAU wireless camera which this model has just replaced – ability to control camera position from the App also a bonus and motion sensitivity much easier to control. I saw this new COOAU camera pop up on Amazon a few weeks ago, but it had no reviews. The listed specification seemed to fit what I needed it for perfectly, and since I have used their camera’s before with good results, I took a chance and bought one. I also ordered a separate 32gb micro SD card for it (the spec says it can handle up to 128gb if required). They both arrived the next day, as I have Amazon Prime, and the packaging was all in good order.
I opened the box up and found the camera inside along with a charging cable, mounting bracket with screws and a manual. I read the manual all the way through before starting.
Firstly, I installed the SD card. I fixed the bracket to the Garden wall which is where I want it to go. I then downloaded the COOAU App onto my phone using the supplied scan code, which installed with no problems, you just have to follow the onscreen instructions. I then turned the camera on.
The setup instructions are very easy to follow, and I was able to get as far as scanning the QR code the the phone offered up very easily, but after that It would not actually connect to the camera. I tried for quite a few times, before looking at the instructions again and reading that the camera + router + phone need to stay close together until after they have made the first connection. I was trying to connect from all the way out in the garden lol. Once I realised this, they connected instantly, and I was then able to move the camera out into the garden location where I needed it to go.
It has been working brilliantly so far for over a week now, and I can log into my phone at any time to see what going on in the Garden, even when I am not at home. The camera records any human movement it picks up onto the SD card, so you can scroll back to see older videos. The battery level has not moved yet, so it looks like the battery will last 4 to 6 months as they say it will. The picture quality is great even if turned down to SD quality, and the SD card has hardly been touched yet.
All in all, I am very please with the camera and would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a new one. 10 out of 10…

I really satisfied with this wireless camera, the most important that you can moving the camera throught the app and in 360 degrees remotly, the 2 k gives a high quality picture, the rechargeable battery lust long. I highly recommend this Wireless camera.
Needed an outdoor security camera for the rear of my house. I had used this brand in the past so decided to choose this model. I wanted one that can be controlled via a mobile app and also has the ability to move 360degrees giving an overview of the whole garden. This camera does just that and you are also able to use an intercom facility to either talk to someone in harden or deter people who should not be there.
Setting up is really easy using the app and you can also add any other cameras you have so you can view the total perimeter of your property.
Fitting outside again is very easy depending on where you want to install. You fit the rear bracket and then slot the camera to it and it slots in place. Once installed you are set to go. You can install an SD card to record any alarms when it goes off.
You can also use this during the night and the images are very good and clear. You set how sensitive you want the alarm to go off and also times you want it to record activity. The enclosed instructions are very easy to read and make setup very straight forward. I decided to make sure it was fully charged before installing but you should have this up and running it less than 30 minutes. You can also fit a small solar panel to keep the battery trickle charged.
Overall very well worth buying and I would definitely recommend.
I’ve had a number different products from this company and I’ve always found them to be great quality and very reliable.
I bought this solar powered camera and fitted it at the front of my house to keep an eye on my car as I live on a busy road. It’s really easy to fit with clear instructions and doesn’t take long to set up using the app onto your phone, there are loads of different settings to customise it to your personal preference, l especially like the joystick in the settings so that you can rotate the camera right to left and up and down from your phone.
With it being solar powered there is no need to worry about charging the camera when the battery level is low, picture quality is very clear even in night mode and you can zoom in if needed. The numerous features make this a stand out product for me for the price and I would recommend to anyone
I own a few of Cooau’s products and this is by far the best yet! installation is very easy although it took 2 attempts in the first place so bare with it! settings are simple and straight forward and once set the cam gives great picture quality, the ptz part works a treat with full pan and tilt I’m still seeing how long the charge lasts for as I’ve only just set it up but I dare say it wont be a let down…

This my third security product from cooau. High quality packaging and easy to follow instructions. Although Cooau suggested to you use there own app, I already had a camera and doorbell in the Cloundedge app and just added the camera. The app just talks you through the setup.
Easy to use, just need a decent micro SD or pay for cloud storage
Very good build quality and easy to install all fixings included.
Excellent colour pictures /videos day and night and full 360 control from your phone. Added bonus of flood light and siren on motion detection.
Zones can be added or removed via the app and a wealth of other options available
Too early yet verifie battery life, but my other Cooau camera battery lasts for months. You can add solar charger if needed.
As with all battery cctv cameras this does not record 24 hours, but instantly records on Human movement detection
Very happy with product and good customer experience
so i was sceptical because looking for a cctv system that was relatively maintenance free once up, brought this mid spring and attached it to the drain pipe on corner of house its very light nothing some zipties and bit of gorilla glue cant handle, let it charge up on a usb before putting it up, once up and connected to the solar panel ( try to put solar panel so it points towards where the sun is at its highest point to ensure you get the most sunlight each day ), and it works a treat recharges the battery to full with no problems so far even on quite a cloudy day, ive only had one instance where it was wasn’t charging due to being to dark, but its not that much of a problem as the battery is capable of lasting a weeks with out anyway, the picture is clear, and i can see a good amount detail up to 40 metres out from front of my house which is enough to get perfect images of the little quad bike riding ##### so the old bill can seize them, but i can see further, its got zoom and a handy speaker built in so i can bellow at delivery drivers who are to lazy to close the gate after them, all in all a very good well built camera and best off all the camera just unscrews when you inevitably need to recharge but id say that would only possibly be once a year at most, and the camera is sensitive the app notifies me the second someone steps into front gate very impressed will buy another to cover the back yard and that hooks up to the same app
This is my second Cooau camera we have the doorbell camera which has been great. We decided to purchase a security camera for the back.
We bought this 2K HD security camera and have to say we are really impressed with it. The installation process was quick and easy.
The camera is stunning so much better in high definition and a great viewing angle. The night and day vision is very clear.
It connected to our wi fi very easily. The signal has stayed strong and reliable.
I like that you can turn the camera around on the app to look around at different angles.
It has a siren that will go off and lights flash if the alarm is triggered. You can have the alarm set for a certain time so it’s not going off every time your out the back.
All in all a great security camera
I recently purchased this camera to upgrade my existing door camera and have been thoroughly impressed.
As for installation, it was a breeze with the new bracket design, and pairing with the app was quite easy.
I’m impressed with the clarity of images, it’s really good. Compared to my old camera, the image quality on this is super crisp and I was able to clearly read the number plates of vehicles that park nearby.
The AI human detection works like a charm 🙂
Last but not least, the ability to move the camera remotely is something I’ve dearly wanted but now I finally have it. In my old camera, there were times when I was away and would have liked to pan around when some alert triggered, but that feature didn’t exist. Now, I finally can!

This camera is great as there are not wires you just charge it and place it on the wall same concept as a doorbell but in a security camera. I have used and set up a lot of security cameras but COOAU is one of the easiest nearly plug and play the minute you install the app you click to add a device a barcode is shown you point it to the camera and viola that was all, it literally takes 2 minutes to set it up. Charge it and place it to the preferred location. The camera comes equipt with night vision and led lights which trigger and open when movement is spotted. The quality of the video is great too as long as you extract it from the SD card. The videos attached are taken directly from my phone so you won’t appreciate as much the great quality of the video. COOAU app has great capabilities to unlock the full pontential of the discrete camera. Overall a great discrete product with great capabilities, recommend it.
This is a great wireless camera, I’ve got a few different cameras from this brand and they all work really well so I keep coming back! And feel it’s always worth writing a review on. This latest design is much sleeker and more modern looking with better video quality and features, it also has spot lights which is an upgrade to the previous models. I’m not sure on the battery life as of yet so time will tell, but on my other cameras they normally last a good 3 months or so till I need to charge them, although with a solar panel i have on one it’ll go for a good 6 months or so. The solar panel can be purchased separately for 20 or so, but its definitely worth it I’d say to save on the charges!
The best thing is that these cameras can be positioned any where around your home, office, garden etc with no wiring in, providing you have a decent WiFi range so they’ll be able to stay connected. Once you’ve set the cameras up you can access them from anywhere you like around the world via your smart phone.
The packaging is always very good and boxed well also arrived very quickly which is always nice.
Overall theses are a superb camera which you won’t be disappointed in by purchasing.
Ok so it arrived Saturday and by Sunday morning it was fitted and working. Easy install on the building and very easy cloud edge installation. Picture quality is excellent, both in daytime and night mode. Make sure you charge up the battery before use. Overall excellent value for money and definitely recommended.
Superb CCTV camera with all the features as described.
It was easy to set up and install with logical instructions and extremely easy installation due to the solar panel charging and WIFI connection.
The only things which would improve it are having an iPad application (larger screen viewing) and recording to independent cloud services (Dropbox, AWS etc.). Otherwise, it’s a great buy!
Would definitely recommend this camera! My only issue is the solar panel doesn’t charge the camera, we have to keep taking the camera down to recharge the batteries
Positives: solar power keeps the camera constantly charged, daytime picture quality is clear in HD mode.
One thing I would like to have is the ability to adjust the detection zones.
Set up my camera yesterday. So easy to install. Once set up was complete installed it on the wall. The ease of use ability is great. Great little camera and all from the comfort of your sofa. Highly recommend this product, but, make sure you set it up as per the instructions. Get the best possible place for signal. The night vision is amazing, the day vision is equally as good. The motion settings are great, especially when you can tone it down to a certain area of coverage.
After having some technical issues with the first camera, it did take a bit of effort to get resolved, but once I had spoken to the right person it was resolved within a matter of minutes. I opted to have a replacement rather than a refund because when the original camera worked it was brilliant. I love the pan function, if I wanted to view the areas which are not directly in front of the camera I simply use the button. I can set the sensitivity level and night viewing is very clear. Really good product.
Having used the camera for several weeks I can confirm complete satisfaction. Very easy to install with solar panel which was fitted to slate tile with epoxy resin and the camera fitted to the facia below. Most impressed with the ease of swipe moving the camera and stretch zoom with fingers on iphone screen. I’ve now installed a 2nd camera and solar panel in the same way on other side of house. The solar panel solves the old problem of getting a power supply to the camera.
Was a little cliche at first, but once set up it works fine app works well with many options of play back and camera movement via WiFi.
The range is good to the router which is about 25 ft away.
This is my second purchase from Cooau and I am delighted with it. The service received and the quality of the product itself really are first class. For me it started with the opening the box experience – it’s well boxed, as you can see – I have installed it to monitor our front gates which are remote from the house – it’s discreet, invisible where it’s placed and the set up and App based control is easy to install. It’s really useful as I have no remote power so the solar charger is invaluable. Picture quality is super – so now I have both front and back of house very well covers.

We were looking for a reasonable price cctv unit and came across this one & took a chance,I am so glad we did the picture quality is great as you can see from photo added,plus it tilts up/down & side to side so you can view from all angles,the added audio is great as well as I can speak to the family while in the garden from in doors.Highly recommended for anyone looking for a camera that’s got all you need at a reasonable price,very easy to set up as well .
A good security camera that’s easy to set up and install. Not quite so good for wildlife which was my main reason for buying but it will detect larger birds on full sensitivity. Picture is sharp but moving. objects are not sharply defined.
The camera is good at picking up human movemebt and the ability to ‘steer’ the lens is a very good feature. The image quality is good enough to recognise people and will show wildlife within range, giving regular alerts.
The solar panel power source seems to work well (so far), All in all, I am quite content with my purchase
This is a very neat well made Wireless security camera that does the job well. I needed an easy to install, solar powered camera to cover my large garden and back doors. I looked at lots of more expensive cameras but decided that this camera could do the job and I was not disappointed at all. The picture quality and 2 way audio are very good. In addition I can scan the whole garden from the app with 350 degree rotation. Great price too. If you went with this camera you would not be disappointed.
Fantastic camera, crystal clear images and great motion detection. Was really.easy.to install and even came with 2 spare capped screws for the mount just incase you loose one. The included solar panel was a great addition. We only use this to record at night but acts almost like a ring doorbell during day. The speaker onboard is loud and clear and it integrates with our other cloud edge cameras seemlessly . Motion detection takes a little dialing in but leaves a lot of customisation at your fingertips. Wish they had a black version but the white dose actually provide a very visible deterrent to anyone who wants to try to miss behave in its range. All in all a great buy
Been recording all visitors to the door, I can check before answering and long into real-time video from anywhere. 128GB memory is one of the largest in this price range meaning no need to delete every few weeks. All in all a quality feature packed camera that does everything I need it to do. I’m buying another for the back of the house.
This is my second Cooau camera, the first was a standard one, needed greater coverage and it is great to have a tilt and turn that doesn’t need plugged in. Good build quality, well packaged the instructions are in good English and easy to follow. The app is seamless, adding this second camera is as easy as scanning a QR code. I can now control the camera from my phone including the tilt and turn. The first camera has really good long battery life so I expect this one to do the same, hopefully the solar panel will keep it topped up even longer. The image quality is excellent on HD and audio is clear at both ends.
