- 1. The pump works directly by the sunlight. Please tear off the plastic film protection on the surface when first use.
- 2. Since there is air in the solar pump when first used, push the pump completely into the water to drain the air.

Not the best in the world but what do you expect for the money. Only work in bright light.
Works quite well straight out of the box but does seem to need a little brighter direct sunlight than a similar product we already have but not at all bad for the price.
A good little fountain. The four straws which keep it centrally placed are very effective. The sideway spray option avoids the container loosing all its water in the wind.
I usually have to buy a replacement every year but for the price and joy i get from watching the fountain it’s worth it… Maybe the quality has improved and it will last longer…. Time will tell….
It was considerably smaller than the 2 I previously purchased it will look rather odd when I put it in my pond. Make sure you check the diameter before you purchase.
What a great little water feature. Only thing to watch out for is to keep an eye on where you have lit it and top up the water as it does get through a lot. Various sprays to choose from. Great little solar water feature, good value.

It’s a cute little fountain for my bird bath, but it needs full, uninterrupted sunshine to work properly. Even a little cloud overhead will reduce it to a small, intermittent splutter spurt!
Would be great in hot, sunny countries!
Keeps the water in the pond airated and is an attractive feature. You do need to keep the filter clean every now and then to keep it squirting to a reasonable height.

Aslong as its un direct sun light it works well. Make sure whatever you put it in is big enough to collect the water as itll drink more than a geordie on a night oot in the toon.

Great wee fountain! When it bursts into life it’s like it’s celebrating some sunshine in Scotland!!! Had to use lower nozzle as wind blew higher fountain out of bowl and we had to keep refilling.
Basic only works when sun shining on it but for the price it’s ok.
Lovely little water feature with good accessories, the only disappointment being that there was no suction on the bottom which would have really helped in my shallow bowl.
As a solar powered water feature though you must be aware that this does only work in full sun – it does not store any solar energy therefore it stops working as soon as there is a cloud over the sun or when the sun starts to go down and the angle no longer shines on it. To save the battery i make sure i take the item out of the water and put in face down in the shade so it doesn’t continue to try to work with no sun. Its a simple thing that gives me a few hours of pleasure on a sunny day when i’m sat outside.
I read some bad reviews on this but decided to go for it for <10. I laughed so much when I first tried it as the poor thing just dribbled out on the overcast day. But my goodness it makes up for it when the sun is out. If you're fine with this being a fair weather fountain only then I'd recommend. The attachments give a really lovely selection of effects. And yes it needs full sun to be fully effective but if you know that you can sit back in the sun and listen to the gentle sound and it really looks lovely. I'd buy again for sure. I love i
I have got this in a bird bath and looks lovely in the sun with a water fountain feature. When it is windy the water runs out and you have to keep topping it up (depending on the type of container you have it in). The birds love sitting next to it on hot days and love taking a dip but the only thing is that after this any debris gets stuck in the fittings and it has to be cleared before the water starts flowing again. Looks great in full sunlight especially on non-windy days.

This is so easy to put together I love it ,great price works beautifully.
I love this fountain have had it for 6 wks now and it has been working very well even on overcast days the various heads all work well.

An ok product which is pretty good for the price. High jet settings means a swift loss of water from a birdbath. Would do well in a small pond.

Nothing to dislike but people should realise it is solar and needs Sun to work.
I used this for my bird bath. The tall fountain parts emptyed my bird bath very quickly. I now don’t use the accessories just let it bubble from the unit. That is fine.

This fountain is small enough to fit my birdbath nicely. It gives an amazing display when the sun is out. Nothing really when there is no sun as it works on sunlight.
It comes with lots of attachments so you can create lots of different types of fountain displays. I love it. I just like to hear the gentle tinkling and splashing of the water.I find it so therapeutic. Watching it as well is nice. The fountain heads easy to change. It works straight away if there is some solar power around

Very simple to assemble with good clear instructions. Jets get easily blocked. Using our in a bird bath.
This is a fun but cheap product, it works best in the full sun as there is no battery so relies 100% on there being sufficient light to convert to power. Looks great in full sun but I find it quite funny in low light levels.
Keep your expectations realistic bearing in mind the price. Cheap as chips but lots of fun.

I love these little solar fountains. I bought two. One for bird bath and the other for a small pond. They are really worth the money. Even when not sunny they trying their best to pump water. Sooo cute.

These things are an enigma. They have a host of attachments except the one you actually need.
If you’re putting it in a pond then it’ll be fine but if you’re using a bird bath or similar then it simply sprays too high and/or too wide for the bowl to catch the water. Even the one that sprays sideways rather than upwards sprays it too far. If it had an upward tube attachment with the nozzles pointing down from the top it would fix this problem. A transparent tube like this would create an interesting optical illusion.
Currently I’ve just slung it in a deeper barrel to give the sound of running water in the garden. I’ll eventually find a decent home for it.
Works really well , came with lots of attachments, so you can have water high and wide spread if you want to but had to use the smallest one as my water bowl isn’t the widest, cut draws to help (easy to do but they did come longer) For the price this is the best one I’ve bough

Very pleased with this – nice addition to a small pond. Only downside is that it does get blocked by silt occasionally, but this is easily cleaned. Does need direct sun to perform at its best.

This is the third solar fountain that I have owned and easily the best. It has different nozzles for a variation of sprays – I love the multi-way horizontal one shown on the picture. It works even on cloudy days. It has 4 bars to help keep it central in a pot. Excellent value for money.

My wife wanted this, I thought it wouldn’t be up to much, but actually functions a lot better that I had expected.
Ironically, for me anyway, the smallest nozzle projects the water the highest.
Like with most solar devices no idea how long this will last, but for the price a bit of fun for the summer, you can’t go wrong.
Once the sun is out it spays quite high maybe 8″. As soon as the sun goes in it stops.
Do it doesn’t retain ant solar energy just uses the immediate sunlight.

Good little solar fountain. Initially bought for a bird bath but bird bath had a raised bit in the middle so it wouldn’t work. Filled a pot with pebbles and used it on that instead. Very easy to set up. Took a couple of hours to fully charge, was initially giving intermittent spurts but once fully charged it worked well.
brilliant started working as soon as I took it outside before I had even put it in my bird bath !!

Even on a cloudy day the pump works and when the sun shines the spray is quite impressive.
The video shows it under test, it will require anchoring so when its fitted into my birdbath it will be centred in the bowl doesnt move about so much.
You can’t go wrong at this price and it works! A choice of fountain sprays. Occasional cleaning of the filter with a soft brush needed to clear the passage. Shown on Gardeners World! Fun and effective.
It seems to silt up with green slime from the water and needs cleaning regularly but otherwise, utterly brilliant.
Works brilliantly, comes with 3 diff spray heads that are simple to switch out…..
Looks great when it sprays and the birds and bees luv it…..

It is stated in the instructions that the product needs to be in DIRECT sunlight in order to work. If a small shadow or cloud covers the sun then all you get is spluttering, (living in the UK, when isn’t a cloud over the sun!) It floats on the water, so when working it will float to the edge of whatever it has been placed in and bingo, shadow. BUT, when this product is working it is great. The fountain is lovely and the sound of the water is beautiful. Would buy another.

It started to work as soon as the sun came out and at the moment it looks great in a large flower pot until I
find a bird bath I like. Will probably purchase more when I have suitable containers.
Works great in direct sunlight, as stated before but, still trys to work when the clouds go over. The fountain itself doesn’t make a sound, only the water tricking. I like it.
Works great when full sunshine however too well when windy so fountain blows water out of the bird bath! Best not use high fountain nozzle and its fine
Fountain is a good height so make sure you have plenty of water in your bowl.
I love my little fountain, be aware when strong winds blowing, water flows out of birdbath.
Floats well. Works as I thought. Only strong in strong sunlight but I’m happy with that. Didn’t see much difference in the heads though.
