This thing is so nice, good quality and so comfortable to labor on…however, almost to pushing stage I felt it wasn’t firm anymore and it began hurting my tailbone. Somehow it was leaking air and deflating while I was on it. I ended up having baby on hands and knees but think I would’ve had her on this cub thing had it not leaked. My poor husband was rushing to inflate but baby was already crowning.

As long as the people with you make sure it’s staying firm and air tight, this thing is awesome.

I didn’t get to use my own but did end up getting to use one in labor!!

I purchased one for my planned homebirth. My midwives and doula were so excited to see that I had one!

I ended up going to the hospital instead but while I was there I got to use theirs! It was great for laboring over. I was in transition when I was laboring leaning over it, and having the additional support while I was laying on the hospital bed was so unbelievably nice. 🙂

I used this while I was in labor during my homebirth, and it was amazing. Much better than a birthing ball because you don’t have to use core muscles to keep it stable when sitting or leaning on it. It allowed me to rest on it between contractions instead of balancing and trying to stay upright while on my knees leaning on it. Highly recommend!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAMAZING! I recommend this for everyone, not only did it allow me to push my baby out in one push(I dropped it down to only be inflated on top part). But it gave be a lot of relief during pregnancy and help position baby better!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThe cub was such an asset to my labor and in delivering my last baby. It allowed me to create the most space to bring baby down and comfort in the middle of pushing through my contractions. Totally an awesome newly designed birthing stool.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersAfter 2 hospital pain free births I decided to have one at home. I was afraid so I bought everything under the sun to get me through.
This was my main tool to transition me till I was ready to push. I gave it to my doula to give this magic pain reliever exposure.
Every time I mentioned it, nobody knew what I was talking about. Every woman having natural birth needs one!!!

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersI’m a birth doula and just took this CUB on its maiden voyage the other day. The birthing person loved to just lean on this while kneeling on a pillow. This allowed me access to give hip squeezes and use the rebozo on her. I highly recommend this product for any doula. The price seems steep, but I assure you that this is an excellent product.

Pump was kind of noisy while inflating.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersI bought the CUB for my midwifery practice and find it is the perfect thing for labor as well as for delivering on if clients wish to deliver upright! I would highly recommend this to anyone who is wanting to have a natural labor as you can use it for so many different labor positions!

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersPurchased this for upcoming labor/birth. Well-made, seems sturdier/safer than a birthing ball. I like that it is useful for multiple different laboring positions. Comfy to sit on just as a little seat around the house, and also useful as a seat during modified prenatal yoga poses (good for rocking and stretching hips).

One thing to note is that in order to place the cover on the CUB, it must be only half-inflated 🙂 Finishing the inflation process once the cover is on is a little tricky without a second set of hands.

As a certified antenatal teacher, I love the flexibility of this product in supporting a labouring Mum in to comfortable and upright positions for a quicker & easier labour. It’s a robust & durable product; a must have for any home birth or birth unit.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have one of these at home I use myself and I also use the cub at work. It is such an amazing birth chair to use. It keeps you upright and it a good position for the baby to move through the birth canal. It is also very flexible and can be used in many different ways. My favourite is for the men to sit behind on a chair so the women can lean back against them and feel supported or get a back massage. But ladies also lean over it and rock their hips side to side to get relief and help turn your little baby.
At home I’ve used my chair to show women how to get comfortable for birth and how to use it in labour. It’s great to store away in a small space and use again when you have another baby or it’s just great to sit on even when your not pregnant.
I use the cub every day I’m at work because it’s so good. We started off with one in our labour ward and had to ask for more because they are so popular to use.
The cub is much better than a ball because it takes away the pressure you feel when the head is moving through the pelvis where as the ball doesnt. Also you can give birth on the cub chair and pass your baby straight up skin to skin if you would like it.
I use a cover on mine at home but in Labour you don’t need it. But the cover adds to the comfort in the house. Having your own at home means you know you will have one for your birth.
I can’t prasie this chair highly enough. It’s my go to favourite thing to use at work.
