This was bought as a gift for my parents to replace an ageing machine. They love it and say that it is really easy to use although it does take up quite a bit of room compared to some soup makers

I love this soup maker! So easy to use. Takes 30 minutes to make delicious soups (plus pasta sauce, curries etc). I cook soups while I’m cooking dinner, it is so convenient. Also just click blitz with hot water and it’s clean (you just need to either clean straight away or fill it with warm water when finished making soup, if you leave it, the veg dries on and is hard to clean).

I have made great soups and stews in this soup maker. I noticed other people said about the top coming off and I did see this when I overfilled it, so my fault but I find that if you leave the top scoop at an angle the air gets in and the top does not come up or off. My grumble is where the glass joins the bottom you can get food stuck if it has rolled down the side.

Very useful to make normal soups. But if you need any specific soups like Indian it won’t be good

Having previous bad experiences of soupmakers by MR..two had cutters shear off, one the heating control failed, I was initially hesitant over this.
Quality of manufacture is good and the cutter structure gives confidence, Easy to use and to clean & the results have been excellent.
Only downside is that is heavy and its height makes it difficult to find storage space in a cupboad though it looks impressive on the worktop.

I like the way that you can see the progress of the soup. With the “gentle stir” facility you can give it a stir at any time in the cooking cycle. Then there is the “blitz” option for making the soup as lumpy of smooth as you like. With a saute option it makes this “gadget” very versatile.

I haven’t yet opened the box up but this is replacing one that broke after a good few years of use. Very good soup maker, also makes smoothies and sauces etc. The delivery could have been a little quicker, but I did receive a very quick response when I messaged the sender.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersAt nearly double the price of many other soup makers it takes a bit of a leap of faith to spend the extra, so is it worth it?

From the moment you unpack it you can see that the Soup Maker Plus lives up to the usual Cuisinart standard.

Robust and yet compact it’s easy to find a space in the in even the smallest of kitchens, yet it still produces an impressive 1.7l of piping hot soup.

Previously I was juggling pans and a blender to make soup, now it’s a simple “one pot” process.

One feature I find particularly handy which is missing from the majority of other soup makers, even at the Cuisinart’s premium price point, is the ability to saut.

This makes it a true “one pot” device cutting down on pot-juggling and cleaning.

Speaking of cleaning, this is another area where the Cuisinart product excels, the self-cleaning function means that even this chore is reduced to nothing.

So, are there no faults at all, not quite. The first “issue” I encountered was with the supplied measuring cup, when washing it in warm water for the first time all of the measuring increments came off. Not a great problem for me as I don’t use it, but a bit irritating if you do.

Problem number two is more of a design flaw – there is a maximum level indication on the body, however it is almost impossible to see, so I’ve ended up having to put a small piece of black tape over it, again not major, however it looks unsightly and could have easily been made more visible.

Would I then recommend the Cuisinart Soup Maker? Yes, without hesitation, if you’re after a well built, quality product which looks good and produces fantastic results, then look no further, it’s err, “souper”…

I had another one of these soup makers for many years. It did finally give up the ghost but it was constantly used for many years. I think it is fab which is why I have bought a replacement.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy first Cuisinart Soup Maker stopped working properly after 7 years’ regular use. The boil feature was the same as the Simmer feature, so the soup was taking longer to cook. After 7 years the Teflon coating I think was worn away. I purchased a second Cuisinart as I was very happy with it. There a couple of changes to the new version, it Saute’s and the Stir option stays on until you switch it off. Neither new function is a problem. You also have to switch the machine on again when you are ready to blend, which is my only niggle about this new version. Personally, I preferred it in the original Black; the Silver coloured base makes it look a bit cheap. I would still recommend and would purchase this Soup Maker again.

This is my third soup maker. Had an Andrew James one that was excellent and lasted about 4/5 years. Them bought a Tower one which lasted until guarantee had expired. Bought this one and yes it makes nice soup but the jug is extremely heavy.

Tried a few before this one. They didn’t heat well or were too flimsy.

I like my appliances rugged, (as if they were built by Cyberdine and sent back from the future).

    This one is large capacity,

    Does hot and cold,

Heats and chops like a beast (don’t leave your Ital stew cooking on high and walk away!)

The glass jar is BPA free.

(Although there seems to be some kind of non-stick heater at the bottom — would have to ask Mark Ruffalo what it’s made of…)

You can unscrew the jar from the chopping base making cleaning easier. But watch out for them blades.

Only thing, some other models have an auto-blend program. This doesn’t. But it’s better to come back and have to blend hot veg yourself, than have tepid veg soup blended for you.

All-in-all a well designed, sturdy unit.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is amazing! Best soup maker I’ve ever had, and I’ve had many! It’s solid, sturdy albeit a bit heavy. The STIR function is brilliant, no sticking on the hot plate. Have made three batches in as many days and it does more than just soup. Can’t recommend this enough, it’s become a must have in my kitchen now : – )

Golden Review Award: 48 From Our UsersThis is a BEAST, it’s heavy, extremely well made, if anything it’s over the top in the manufacture, but, that isn’t a criticism at all, in fact, it’s a major positive. It’s so very easy to use, and, you can adapt pretty much any of your existing soup recipes for this machine.

First impressions are, it’s heavy, do not expect this to be a lightweight device, it isn’t, but, that gives it a serious feel, it doesn’t feel cheap like the others, or has a quality feel to it.

Ease of use. Well, my partner used it yesterday to great effect, chop up the ingredients a little, whack them in, hit saute and leave it, then, add fluids, leave it for 25 minutes, stir (using the handy button), then, at the end, pop onto setting 2 to blitz up your soup. Have to admit, it was DELICIOUS.

Cleaning is indeed easy, very easy in fact. Once you’ve done and emptied the glass Jug, pop some water in, with a tiny amount of fairy liquid ( other cleaning solutions are available lol), whizz it up a little, rinse out and that’s it, nothing could be easier.

All in all, if you want a “proper soup maker”, one that blitzes, blends and makes a lovely soup, do not look any further, THIS is the one you want.

We would definitely put this as a highly recommended

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersSo easy to use and makes great tasting soup. Easy to clean too but the only down side is; after it’s cleaned there’s always a smell left in the glass jar. I’ve soaked it and put it in the dishwasher but the smell doesn’t go away. But it doesn’t bother me as I use it for soup only.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersMy only quibbles are that at 5’2″ tall. To add extra ingredients, I either have to take jug off base or stand on something! The jug is also rather heavy, but I suppose it needs to be strong. Excellent for making soup. I find it a bit of overkill for making individual smoothies and hard work for finely chopping veg (my dog has allergies and I have to make up her veg separately). I had hoped that I could do all three things with one machine, (not at the same time) but I’ve ended up buying a nutribullet for the smoothies.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersHave used this soup maker loads since I purchased it, all I will say is, buy appropriate recipe books to suit this style of product as not all soup makers have the functions this model has…over all money well spent, it is heavy, solid and very well made, cleaning is simple, and nothing has stuck to the heat plate or burnt, and simple to use functions

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersMy wife has been looking at soup makers for a while and after reading the reviews she took the plunge and this one. She has other Cuisine art equipment and has always been satisfied with the brand. This is a solid bit of kit, very easy to clean and is a breeze to use. My wife is over the moon with it and rates it as one of her top cooking aides.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis soup maker was purchased just before Christmas. It is used each week to make 5 servings of various soups It is very easy to clean, although some people think otherwise but I don’t know why. I have used a cheaper make which on three occasions over a very little time failed because the heater couldn’t cope .For me this maker does everything I require and is well built.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersHad one for 4 years now, Cleaning was difficult until my mum said put brown sugar the rougher larger grains, and put it in to blend, then add a good blob of washing up liquid and a a tiny amount of water to make a paste Blend it for 30 seconds. Add boiling water and heat up for a few mins on high. Then rinse with hot water several times. I only do this after several uses, or after making a curry from scratch.

Golden Review Award: 34 From Our UsersIt is very good for small batches and simple to adapt to whatever ingredients you choose. The only downside is that you cannot detach base from glass top to make it easy to clean. At some point I suspect that however careful I am to soak it there will be food which, even with the bottle brush I use, will be hard to shift. I have already let drips of soup run down the outside and into the screw thread. I assumed that, like other bits of kit, it would come apart for easy cleaning- I was wrong.

Golden Review Award: 34 From Our UsersReally pleased with this product. It is so versatile and easy to use. Don’t understand the review from someone else about the ‘hot’ blending not being adequate; I blended on the first setting (of two available for hot liquids) and it was perfect with no dangerous overflow of boiling liquids. I bought this after returning a cheaper other brand one that didn’t work and decided to upgrade. It is worth the extra as its functionality is far superior and you can set each programme item independently instead of being locked into a ‘programme’. It is very sturdy and solid and the jug is very tough glass. If you are looking for a soup maker all in one that you can also use for other stuff (eg risottos) then this is the one for you.
