Beautiful quality curtain at a bargain price, wow, I’m absolutely amazed by the quality of the materials used. I bought the longest curtain W52″xL108″.

Unlike some of the other reviews, I had read the description and one curtain is what I needed. It’s not meant to be 100% blackout curtain which also says in description, 85% is an acceptable quote. The description is accurate, you can’t go wrong with this product, I definitely recommend it. I received this curtain and an hour ago have put it up and came on here to review it straight away because it’s an amazing buy and I don’t think that some of the other reviews have been fair when it’s them who read the description wrong.

Thank you for my beautiful curtain x

This curtain is perfect for what I needed it for – which is just to cover our windowed back door for privacy. The size was exactly right and it fits perfectly to the door. The fabric is nice and lightweight but not sheer. The colour was as expected.
However, I have taken a star off just because I don’t think it’s right to describe the fabric as ‘blackout’ when it definitely isn’t. That’s fine for me because I don’t need it, but if you’re reading this hoping for blackout curtains, look elsewhere.

I was looking for a door curtain and came across these. 5.99 for a curtain! It was a no brainer.
I got the silver grey because it was the cheapest, would go with my room and would be no big loss if it wasn’t right.
Well the curtain was lovely and soft, long, thick and looked great up. Was very happy with it. So happy that I immediately bought 2 more to hang at my windows in the same room to match.
They are not completely black out as they are not lined and mine are a very light colour, however my room is significantly darker than it was with my cream unlined faux silk ones. Also, it’s considerably warmer. Have been able to turn the heat down a notch or two which is great.
Can’t comment on washing them yet, but the label says they are machine washable at 30 degrees.
    Well worth the money.

Bargain of the year so far!

Great purchase for our side door which is original wood and glass rather than pvc/double glaze to keep draft out and avoid losing heat through window. Kitchen seems warmer since adding it and haven’t had to put the heating on as much even with plummeting temperatures.

Not complete blackout but dark enough on our shady side of the house, not sure how it would hold up under direct sunlight if that was your motivation for buying.

This is better than I expected, its silky soft, perfect colour match (I bought the dark red) it’s the perfect size to my measurements and blocks out alot of light.

There is a slight hue of light that does come through but it’s a really dark hue and works on my front door to stop sun coming through the glass, being in a terraced house it’s needed.

It claims to be thermal and I’d expect the thickness it has, to do just that but it’s not super thick, I needed this to gather behind the door and not drag on the top of the door, it doesn’t do this, which is great.

Arrived on time in climate friendly packaging. A decent weight so it doesn’t blow too much in a draught, but not too heavy to hang on a bamboo cane across the door.

A nice curtain, I have this at my porch door, and it certainly is a blackout. My one had a flaw in the material, which went right across the curtain, but by no means spoils it. (I have bought expensive curtains in the past with worse flaws!!). This has made a difference in my lobby so far, so I expect come winter I will be in the dark, and warm! And as it is lightweight, its so much neater when opened at the side – no bulk getting in the way!

I bought these curtains for my conservatory, to manage the sun when it glares in from about midday.
They certainly do block out the sun very well, I am very pleased. It is hard to know if they reduce the heat too but every little helps.
The material feels very nice, is of good quality and looks good too. The only very slight criticism i have is that they are not very thick or lined, aspects which tend to give off the air of quality; this doesnt affect the black out or thermal elements.

This single curtain panel is perfect for what we needed, although slightly expensive for what it is. It appears to be good quality and is very similar to Dulux Gentle Lavendar in colour. I know this because we have this on one of the 4 walls in our youngest’s frozen theme bedroom. This was a perfect colour match.
I’ve used it to replace a brown wardrobe curtain and I’ve sewn a frozen scene to the front of it.
Our little one is delighted with it.
I had to take the hem up as it was too long but this was the closest length for what we needed.
    I hope this helps.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPurchased this product to hang on the inside of the living room door to keep the heat in and the cold out. Bought a curtain longer than the doorway so it trails on the floor and keeps out the draughts. It works wonderfully well, no draughts get through it even though they get under the door. You can put your hands either side of the curtain and notice a big difference in temperature. We were dubios when it arrived as it was so lightweight but we are won over and seriously considering buying another for the door to the staircase in the kitche

Lightweight but very nice feel to the fabric. Colour as advertised and very neutral. Ordered beige. Hangs well for a lightweight material, could be fuller, however in mitigation it doesn’t obstruct the door when folded back. Did not give complete blackout however that wasn’t my prime reason for the curtain, it does a pretty good job of reflecting heat back into my hallway. My front door is double glazed for all of it’s height. Overall good value for the money, if you want complete blackout then I would say you need something more substantial.

The curtain itself is really good! Compared to all the home stores it’s a quarter of the best price available… Really good feeling material and cuts out all the light so yeah it would work very well for the bedroom…
However, I measured the window and bought one to cover it…
Then by the time it’s on the rail it’s folded and only covers half the window… So I’d need to buy 2 for full window… Thankfully it is only for the office so I’ve took it off the rail and pinned up the corners…
    That’ll do.
So yeah I guess… The material measures are correct… But to cover a window, buy 2 if you want to get it right!

Very very happy with this, arrived so quick!

We have very high ceilings and always have difficulty in buying curtains off the shelf. We now know where to get curtains from!

We would have to buy 2 single curtains as they are door curtains, but for the rooms it would be sooooo much cheaper way of doing it.

We have blinds that filter the light, not blackout ones so these would be ideal.

    Will defo order agai

Overall good value. It’s very light weight, I would have preferred a slightly heavier – medium weighted curtain for the door – the description of the curtain is that it’s ‘thermal’. I’m using on a front entrance doorway to keep draft and cigarette smoke out, to be honest I can’t tell the difference but at least there’s one more barrier.

It’s a good drop length for fitting above a door frame. The ring top is very convenient and the diameter is pretty large so I was able to purchase a non screw curtain pole to fit this above the door.

I went for the “Mustard” colour to fit in with other aspects of the room decor and I sorta wish I hadn’t. In the pic it looks a bit more kinda gold, but in person it’s not a very pleasing colour to me. However I think that’s probably pretty unique to this colour; blues and reds and greens and so on won’t look like they came out of the wrong end of an unhealthy pet if the hue is slightly different from what you envisage :/ In every other respect I couldn’t be happier — in contrast to what a couple of other reviewers have said mine were remarkably un-wrinkled despite being packaged up; I didn’t even iron them and they look fine. And they look like they cost a lot more than they did. So yeah, buy with confidence, but perhaps be wary of this particular colour.

  56. FaeReichert says:

I bought two of these to help keep the light from the room I sleep in. My bed is right next to the window, so these were bought to make the room as dark as possible.

The rings at the top were easy to fit onto an old rail, but normal fitting would have left large gaps around the edges. I was able to fix this by slipping the end ring over the wall mounting bracket instead of the rail itself, which brought the curtain right up against the wall, shutting out the light completely.

There’s still a lot of light leakage at the top where the rings are attached to the rail, and to fix this you may need a pelmet, or similar construction.

I noted that the material was not 100% opaque, but it was fine for my window which is east facing and shaded by a tree. I reckon if you had a south facing window with an open view to the sky you might find these curtains letting in a wee bit too much light.

My plan is to get some decorative curtains to put over these ones, so that these act as liners, which I’ve done before.

  57. CurtisROOM says:

I bought this door curtain for my sons bedroom which is an annex. The door and smaller window are together so I required a door curtain with a smaller 54″ drop curtain that matched and all the shops I tried sell curtains in pairs except door curtains, so I would have otherwise had to buy a PAIR of 54″ drop curtains to get ONE. Also few curtains matched the door curtains in colour and/or style, so there was almost no choice.
For this reason the Deconovo curtains were an excellent bargain, far cheaper than the curtains available locally with a choice of colours AND the door/window curtains matched EXACTLY.
The blackout works perfectly as my sons room is now dark with the curtains closed and gives him total privacy.
I am very happy with them in terms of price and quality. They are the exact same colour both sides, so the rear of the curtain looks as good as the front.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThis curtain is great! I had bought some smaller curtains for my windows in the past so knew what to expect material-wise, (but these were cream so still let some light in as you’d expect) This black door curtain is amazing though with no light getting through.

I’ve attached some images but its quite hard to make anything out as my walls are also very dark! You can see the daylight through the small window though which just shows how good this curtain is.

Its very lightweight and although I cant comment on the thermal properties just yet, I can say it aborbs a lot of heat from the sun and transfers it into the room so it might be pretty good.

    Great blackout curtain.

I bought the one panel to brighten up our box room, which has a very small window. I didn’t want to spend a lot as it’s a spare room that we only use occasionally so thought “this will do”. I was wrong – they’re more than just OK! Cannot believe how good the quality was and, in fact, I was so impressed that I immediately bought another one (should have bought a pair as the two look so much better on our small window but never mind). Even buying two separately was still unbelievable value and the mustard colour is gorgeous, looks like a more expensive yellow/olive hue. The material is a lovely silky cotton material, almost like sateen, with a slight twill texture to them. Will now be ordering another set for our living room as the mustard exactly matches our pillows and lampshade (which was a funny yellow/green hue to begin with) – I’m ecstatic at the accidental match!

They were easy to iron too, a must do unfortunately as they got a bit creased in the packet. But such a minor detail for a fabulous set of curtains.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI reconmend these.
I got these for a bedroom I mostly just wanted the blackout and I wasn’t expecting the thermal aspect to actually work, but I was pleasantly surprised when it did, I no longer need the windows open or a fan on the room stays nice and cool even in the hot weather, and it’s very dark at night which I love plus blocks out most of the light during the day.

    Fantastic

I bought this curtain in black, as I live on a busy city street, with bright street lighting on all night – I was really struggling to sleep as a result. This curtain makes my room very close to pitch black at night, problem solved!
Excellent value for money, the material is light but still thick enough, and it feels of decent quality. Light will still leak in from above the window, as with any curtain (when you don’t have additional material to close off the edges), but it improved my situation MASSIVELY, and I can now get a proper night of sleep. Worth noting is that if you are shift worker and need to sleep during the day, although this curtain will certainly make the room considerably darker, it is not likely to completely black out the light – something much heavier would be required in this instance.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI purchased this door curtain to use at a doorway that’s between my living room and kitchen. The door itself we removed to allow a more open plan space, but it’s nice to be able to pull a curtain across in the evening for a more cosy look whilst relaxing in the living room.
I was drawn to this particular curtain for several reasons- the style and colour (I wanted a silky fabric, black out, dark grey curtain) and of course the price was appealing as it’s fairly cheap.
I’m impressed by the fabric of the curtain- it’s as silky soft as it appears in photos, and is front to back the same silky soft. It isn’t lined though, which I think let’s it down in blackout quality- there is small spaces between how the material is sewn that allows light to shine through.
My biggest qualm though is that it’s sold as being 94″ long, which it definitely isn’t. I bought this one to replace a 90″ curtain I’d been using at the door way until I could get a better and longer replacement, and it’s actually no longer in length at all. I’d say it’s 90″ max length, so that definitely makes it not as described, and something to be aware of for those who do require the longer length.
It is lightweight enough when attempting to hang it, we experienced no problems with it weighing the pole down like we’ve had with previous curtains, and I do think it’s a nice enough quality curtain. Like mentioned I’m mainly disappointed in the length of it. The blackout aspect isn’t as important as the length to me.

  64. BillyHansen says:

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe royal blue is an vibrant colour but has a subtle tone. It gives the panel a sleeky sheen style and drapes eloquently.
The panel material has a smooth texture and blocks the light out. However, I do not think any curtain can truly be given the term “blackout” because I literally would be expecting the room to be absolutely pitch black. The panels do considerally dims and blocks out natural daylight from the window. The room does hevaily become a darkened room. The only time light can emit through if you have gap of the daylight not covered by the panel.

I think when you are making purchases then the term value for money becomes a subjective definition because your needs define the meaning of the word. For me – my critictism is the price. It feels slightly extravagant to be purchasing a polyester product when I could be getting cotton material elsewhere for that price. However the productivity of the product is what won me over as it does block the light out that I ended up buying the second panel in order to cover the gaps where light was emitting through. I cannot confirm or deny the claims if it is thermal insulated material.

    Recommended tips:

    1) I also purchased curtain extension pole that you can place between gap of walls. It is so convenient to do as it means no drilling or screwing and to my surprise the pole is very sturdy and stable. The one I purchased has a metal pole with white plastic caps on the side. The only criticism I have is what plastic caps make the metal pole look tacky. So if you do need to buy curtain extension pole then I recommend the following in the link I copied and paste below because the whole product is metal which will compliment the panels and give it a eloquent look. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Frenessa-Stainless-Extendable-Telescopic-Curtains/dp/B07RZNVJQZ/ref=sr_1_22?keywords=curtain+poles&qid=1576877210&s=kitchen&sr=1-22

    2) I suggest hanging the curtain pole 1 or 2 inch away from the wall. This will help the panel curtain to open and close smoothly with no pressure of pulling the material.

    3) hand the curtain extension pole few centimetres above the window frame or better still closer to the ceiling wall as it will help to increase the darkness in the room.

    The product is good

So first off I just want to mention that this item only includes 1 curtain panel which I found a bit odd. Anyway…. They’re surprisingly very good at keeping the light out during the day time. In fact sometimes I’m not sure if the sun is still out or not unless I open them for a peak. The material isn’t the best but it is thick and lightweight, I’m not a fan of how it feels but it is soft. I can imagine these lasting quite a while. The fabric isn’t lined but it’s all the same colour on both sides as well which is good and its fab quality. Overall I would recommend. They’re cheap and do a great job keeping the light out. Almost forgot to mention, they’re really good at keeping the heat inside too. I usually have my windows open because I like the fresh air, but as it’s nearing winter it’s getting quite cold now, but just closing the curtains does heaps to keep the warmth in and still give me the fresh air that I like. I’m really happy with them.

I’ve had a curtain over a little doorway in my bedroom for years to block out light, and while it’s done the job ok, it wasn’t completely blocking out all the light. And with some trees cut down letting more light through, I needed something better.

I got this as it was decently priced and had good reviews. Put it straight up and over the last few days it seems to have been doing the job ok. It seems to block out all the worst of the light (just a little gets through around the edges). Still to see what it’s like with the sun shining in directly.

I actually bought a second pair for curtains for my windows too (just waiting to set them up).

Overall they seem to do the job well, so would recommend them.

  67. Julie Vadnal says:

Bought two panels for my daughters room to try and help with the insufferable heat. We bought the light pink or baby pink colour. Because the material isn’t black itself and instead a lighter colour it doesn’t 100% block out the light but it does massively reduce the light coming in. So 5 stars for that. I do also think it has helped some with keeping the room cooler during very hot days. My only complaint is that the baby pink colour is more like lavender not pink. Disappointing.

These definitely do not scream luxury curtains but they do the job well and for the price I think are worth it. Perhaps a temporary fix until I find the time to buy better quality ones. Would recommend

Golden Review Award: 32 From Our UsersThese curtains are the perfect solution to blocking out the sun that bursts through tall windows or mostly-glass doors, as well as provide a thin barrier to the elements, all for a competitive price!

I have 2 of these single, black curtains to cover large, log cabin doors, and they block out both the sunlight and cold drafts exceptionally well considering the price (*see image to see how well these curtains block the sunlight).

They aren’t as thick as more expensive alternatives, but for the price, they are excellent and more than adequate for typical English sunshine.

Golden Review Award: 39 From Our UsersI was cautious purchasing these curtains as often times, the low price seems to reflect the low workmanship behind the product. This naturally doesn’t apply to everything but to curtains, it often seems that the stitching or colouring or sizing is always somewhat ‘inconsistent’, for lack of a better word.

So, how do these Deconovo Blackout curtains fare?

I am pleased to say these are very good quality. They won’t block out the light *completely*, especially if your window is directly exposed to the sun but they do a very impressive job at keeping out the light (I say this as someone who purchased the black set).

The stitching is strong, consistent and sturdy. The material feels thick yet quite lightweight and ironing out the creases (due to the way they were folded in the packaging) didn’t take very long at all. For the price, I really can’t complain and these more than delivered on what I needed them for.

Impressive quality for the price indeed.

My son usually wakes oober early and I am aware it’s because of the crappy curtains we have up in his room so I took the plunge and purchased two of these for his window. Not only was he warmer but he woke later because there was no light streaming through. They’re light enough for him to open and close and hang nicely on the metal curtain pole we have which is a cheap extendable one that can’t take much weight . They feel beautiful and you can tell a.temperarure difference upstairs in the house after having two of these curtains put up on his window and also kitting our bedroom window with a pair. Thermal aspect is spot on and I have no faults for the blackout either. We ordered blue for my son and it Black’s out the same as our silver ones for our bedroom. Would definately buy again and if my daughter’s inherited thermal curtains go i will be purchasing these for her large windows. Amazing item . And I will be recommending to friends and family

Golden Review Award: 55 From Our UsersBeautiful quality curtain that has been an absolute godsend in my very cold house. I have storage heaters downstairs but the heat gets sucked up through the loft hatch and out through the roof but having installed this curtain at the bottom on my stairs, I can be toasty downstairs and see my breath just the other side of the curtain. I never thought that it would make this much difference but I’m amazed at how fantastic this is. Great length, pretty sheen and feels so soft. No tie-back included but I don’t need one anyway.

Golden Review Award: 96 From Our UsersFantastic curtain. (52 95) Delivered on time. Super soft. Very light, being held up by non drill curtain rod. Needs ironing before being put up. 2nd picture with light on behind curtain, definitely blackout! It really is keeping warmth in too from backdoor. I highly recommend this curtain !

    Perfect in every way!!

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersVery impressed. I got the baby pink and it’s a beautiful colour. The length is just perfect for our house. I ordered them for a single door and one had been enough to cover it but I like more how curtains look having them on both sides when they are tied back so, I ordered two. But because the material is so nice and light it doesn’t feel too much at all. It feels like a material that won’t gather dust but you can wash them anyway. They completely black out our bedroom.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersI spent a lot of time reading reviews about black out curtains and eventually opted for these ones and I’m very glad I did. They are super soft and match my dcor and they do a fantastic job of keeping out the light, the picture doesn’t really do it justice. They really are fab, I also liked that you buy them as individual curtains, I have a very small bedroom that one curtain fits perfectly. Very pleas with my purchase, I would deffo recommend these curtains

Very good at blocking out light and very soft to the touch

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersBought 2 for the inside front door (has glass panel). Dogs could see shadows and car headlight when it’s dark and was sick of them barking all the time. Now it peaceful thank goodness, They could have done with being 66″ wide but hey ho they do the job well till the summer comes and I can take them down. They have cut out all the light and shut the barking up so do the job well enough, they are bit short but my pole is too high as had longer curtains up before these, if you want light cut out these are great, don’t know about draughts as we have a porch which is double glazed and these were for the inside doo
