Very excited about this drone – struggled a bit trying to calibrate it for first use reading the manual but it was easy once I used the QR code to download the app, make sure you pick the model from the drop down and you can scroll (sideways) through the ‘quick start’ section. Got the hang of the basics and I’m looking forward to investigating the features.

BIT OF RESEARCH AND FOUND THIS, MY FIRST DRONE CAMERA
Great for the beginner like me with several helpful touches not least Return to Home. Clever beginner limits can be set for altitude speed and distance.
Good camera, best when using an SD card on board the drone and easy to download. Highly recommend as an adult beginner drone as this is far from a toy! Build quality lives up to Holy Stone standards

Recieved quickly and well packaged. Once charged the drone was easy to set-up and link to the hand-held controller and after a bit of faffing (possibly due to the phone or its operator) my Samsung phone. The one button take-off and landing function is perfect and the drone is instantly simple to use for the first flight. After the instructions for the set-up and first flight, the instruction book lacks more details of more advanced functionality (or seemingly a link to on-line instructions) which would be nice however using the associated app it appears that it is simple to set the drone for more advanced flight (further, higher, faster) than the beginner mode that is the initial default. Also the option of a second battery would be nice (although Holystone apparently send one for free if you leave a review – I’ll update the review if it doesn’t arrive!) but the 15mins or so usage appears average for this kind of device. Camera is good quality and gives clear images and I haven’t crashed the drone yet so I’m very pleased so far and would certainly recommend.

This is a fantastic product. For an inexperienced drone pilot, the instructions are detailed yet simple to follow. The drone itself is easy to control and has great features such as ‘follow me’ and ‘return to home’. The camera takes great photos.
    Highly recommended!

First ever gps drone!!! is an amazing little drone easy to control, picture quality is good and for the money well worth it. The only problem I had with it was the battery wasn’t long enough, because once it’s up in the air you want to play longer. Ideally would have been even better if it came with two batteries….

    Good for beginners !

Everything about this drone is good, the build quality is as good as much more expensive drones, the remote control it perfect and it flies really well.
It is suitable for both experienced fliers and beginers.
The camera is good for a drone of this price and can be tilted to suit diferent shots and videos.
I don’t think there is better choice at this price.

Excellent Drone for a very reasonable price, fast delivery and well packaged.

This drone is the best on the market for its value. I bought this as a complete beginner and it’s operating is really simple which has been a great boon in my budding drone career! The battery life is ample, camera recording is of a high quality and the remote is compact and easy to use.

Having looked at several drones and reading other customer reviews we chose the DE25 and have not been dissapointed. It has lots of features normally reserved for more expensive drones. It does every thing it claims to really well.

im new to this and it was quite difficult to find a beginners drone with all the capabilities, the DEERC DE25,
i followed all instuctions which is very important, the Camera quality is excellent, its got all the features that you find on more expensive Drones, GPS AUTO RETURN, HD CAMERA 1080P, ITS LIGHT TO CARRY, FOLLOW ME HOME FUNCTION, GESTURE RECOGNITION, ALTITUDE HOLD, the list goes on, i honestly did not expect such good quality for the price.

I have had the drone for over a month now and been out when I can December 21/January 22.

I had spent some time looking for a few features that I absolutely wanted for about a hundered pounds.

I wanted GPS and to be able to easily buy spares and have a decent battery life and be under the 250gms C0 category and a camera that was at least 1080p.

This had all that and a few things more but because it’s a ‘cheap’ drone, I know it would be a bit rough around the edges.

So, you must read the manual and follow the start up procedure, the calibrations. It does not take long to set up the compass and gyro and then a little wait for the GPS to lock, use an app to tell you if it’s safe to fly weather wise.
The GPS is vital if you want to prevent fly aways and I recommend that you make sure that the app (HS GPS V1) from the app stores has the correct locations for both the controller (home, a blue dot) and the drone (blue arrow shape). If not then you can fly it but don’t use the auto return to home as it will fly off.
The drone is not that stable even in light winds and will drift so a bit of stability trimming is needed at the start but that’s easy.
Because it’s a little unstable keeping position then do not fly it in a small back garden unless you are great friends with your neighbours.
Range, the video on the phone is ok but had a little lag that is noticeable and after about 80 meters out it will struggle to keep the video playing but if you have an SD card (max 32gb)(get a very good fast one not a cheapy) then it records fine. If you do have the SD card then it will record and take pictures even if the video signal is interrupted.
The batteries do last about 15 mins each which is great.
The movable camera is also great but there is no image stabilization so it will look a little shaky especially when descending.
There is no manual exposure, settings is only auto so it will keep adjusting as the light levels change that can be annoying.
As for flying, its a drone you have to ‘fly’ and keep it positioned rather then just leave it there and it will still be there when you look back up due to the slight drift. I’m still learning so this might just be me.
For me I found the controller ok but it seems that moving the sticks very slowly from the centre points can cause a small drift in the opposite direction at first or a slight drift to one side as you move forward.
If you are just starting out like I was then make sure the settings in the app dont allow the drone to go too far, use the beginner mode and set it to low speed and don’t go too high at first. Soft grass is your friend.
As for the controller, hold it up facing the drone so the antennas get the best field of view.
I tried all the mode configurations for the sticks but decided to stick with the most common one which is ‘mode 2’ though it allows mode 1 and mode 3 as well.
I haven’t used the track and route as I don’t trust the GPS fully and I want to learn to control the drone myself.
An interesting choice is to turn off the GPS, this allows you to fly indoors (not recommended without propellor guards and it takes the weight over 250gms) and without GPS holding the position, in this mode Atti, you really have to be able to fly it. Great for training but a bit scary as letting go of the controls will not stop its flight like GPS mode.
Overall I like it as you have to be in control of it all the time, great for training and getting familure with the controls when things start to go wrong.

    UPDATED

After two months’ use, these are my conclusions:

There are quite a few instructions to follow to get to the point where you are ready to fly. Each individual instruction is straightforward, but there are a lot of them.

The app was easy to download and works well.

The controls are clear and the drone is responsive. It flies as fast, far and as high as I want it to. I use it for fun and for taking pictures of the top of the house, local features etc.

You need to be careful to check whether you are filming. There is an onscreen indicator, but you need to look carefully to see it.

I wanted to buy a spare battery and contacted the seller asking for help. They could not have been more supportive. They went out of their way to make sure I was a satisfied customer and I’m not easy to please. They were fast, polite, and extremely helpful.

Given the experience I have had with the drone and the seller, I am very happy to give this a 5-star rating.

Great drone for the money, has many top end abilities. The Waypoint Symbol in the book is like a track but on the phone app it’s a kind of pointer on a map so can be confusing…I thought my Waypoint symbol was missing. I have an LG K4 4G android phone and it works fine. By the way I phoned the Support number, on the app, the other day (America…cost me 14 for two phone-calls…be warned!!) and they helped and told me to always switch your phone to Flight Mode when using the drone! I advised them to put that little nugget in the Instruction Book! To be continued!

Waypoint symbol in booklet is not what you see on your phone screen/app.

It’s a neat bit of kit for the price, I’ll be getting another battery for it as it’s kind of addictive once you get the hang of it.
I fuelled up with real ale one evening and thought I’d be clever and fly it round the garden………
    Flight time: 30 seconds
GPS location: 30 foot up an ash tree
Time taken to retrieve once located: 2 days

This drone is easy to fly, and performs well. The pictures and video captured on the SD card are very good considering there is no gimbal. One of batteries I received refused to charge, DEERC customer service was exceptional and I received a replacement battery within a week. If you can afford a DJI drone, buy one, if not, this is good alternative and will provide plenty of fun and some decent pictures.

A great first or beginners drone, fairly simple to set up and use , very steady even in windy conditions although the camera being a single axis is a bit jumpy at times, but not bad pics and video for the money, read the instructions first and download the app to phone which has a quick start guide for turning on and calibrating etc. Prop guards and a take off pad would be a good addition to this , also the manual is very small and the writing is very small, a large print would be helpful.

Great drone. Comes with the remote control, even though in the product description is written that it is not included. When you connect it to the phone the remote control battery will show low battery level, even if you have fully charged it before. Its confusing, but what you have to do is to follow the steps of paring the drone with the remote control and then it works just great. Very good quality, just learning how to fly. Good quality camera.

Had this drone a week now and have thoroughly enjoyed using it. The instructions are ok, could do with a ‘quick start’ guide for the basics when first setting up.
Camera is very good and gives a fisheye view when up high. This I like as you get more in shot.
Battery lasts 16 – 18 mins, which I suppose is OK.
Drone is strong, had a couple of ‘tumbles’ when first starting and no problems with the kit.
All in All, a really good starter drone for me and I look forward to taking it flying more when the weather gets better.

This is my first drone that i bought to have fun and eventually upgrade to a better drone. however after using for a few weeks now I do not have intention of upgrading as it is a very capable drone with high build quality. I’m very pleased and will be buying again and recommend it to my friends. also great customer service team.

however for your first few sessions avoid flying it near trees or in windy conditions and find a open space to practice. overal if its extremly good value for money and has features that much more expensive drones lack. highly recommend.

It’s an ideal introduction piece for those who want something more substantial than the cheaper and more flimsy ones available. Really handy to have it connected to your phone so you can easily see the images from the camera.
Rotation options on the camera are also very good.

I was a-little wary before purchasing how good this drone would actually be given the price tag, but I was absolutely blown away from the day my son opened up the box at Christmas.
The build quality is superb, very sturdy and folding arms of the drone make it easy to store and transport safely.
The flight controls and beginner mode made it easy for my 10 year old son to master, and within 10 minuites had mastered the basic controls. The features built in such as the GPS and distance lock, and one touch return to take off position are perfect for a beginner and give confidence it isn’t going to stray to far. The 1080p camera function built in provides very clear recorded footage (just a tad shakey is my only criticism) and the stills are also very good. The battery life is pretty good with around 20 minuites of use. A great buy and fun for dad to use also

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWell it took a bit of setting up with pairing the remote to the drone, then calibrating the drone, then awaiting the drone to find the GPS. Then finding a phone to download the app, then logging onto the drone wireless and finally trying to figure out how to get the damn thing to unlock and fly.. But..

What kind of drone at this price has an HD camera, app support, GPS, auto take off and landing, follow me mode, photo and video recording etc etc. My 10yr old son is not the most hand eye coordinated lad, but the thing takes off on its own and hovers at about 5 feet, lands on its own, slowly and the rest was him just getting used to the controls and trying to remember to look at the screen some of the time. What ever you do, DO NOT fly this indoors, its not that kind of thing, I would almost call it semi professional.

As for the range, no idea, but I’ve locked the controls to beginner (others also available as pre-sets) with a 30m height range and 50m distance range, and trust me, its enough for him to fly over the house and over his school and see all the houses for streets and streets. He’s having loads of fun.

I have also told him to make sure he has line of site to it, so this may be why we’ve experienced no communication issues at all and its always done as its told.

Quality is pretty good as well, I tried it in the house and hit the lounge wall and nearly scalped the cat after another crash (hence don’t fly inside, its not an inside toy) with no damage and if we did damage the blades there’s even spare blades included.

    All in all pretty good.

Writing this review to get another freebie battery, but that’s the best thing, your honest about the product and they will send you another battery. Best Christmas present this year for my So

I love this drone. It’s brilliant and so easy to use. Our first flight was on a very windy day. The drone took off and hovered around a metre above the ground. Being in an open field I was confident in testing it’s maneuverability – nothing to crash into. But once it takes off and settles into its position there are no concerns. It flies well and you can thrash it around the place, let go of the controls and it will easily stop and hover. With the device having built in GPS you can be confident that the wind won’t take it away and when you press the home button, or the battery gets low, it will just fly straight back to where it took off from; amazing. The battery lasted well too. I wasted some juice getting used to it, setting it up, starting the rotors a few times and calibrating it, but it gave at least 15 minutes of flying.

Its 1080p camera is good for the job although I couldn’t get it to take photos while filming – you have to stop the video if you want some snaps. It’s not the best of cameras but it’s very good for the money. It’s wide angle lens can be off-putting although you get used to it and the range from the phone to the drone was quite something. I could still capture images and see the live drone view at all times without drop outs.

This really is a very good device. It’s robust, small enough to be convenient and a smart device. While suitable for beginners it had so much functionality and features that anyone would enjoy using it.

    I really do recommend this.

Perfect for beginners like me…. and the return home feature proved it worth within a couple of days of owning it……
First day I flew it, I was flying it around our little garden which I never thought I could do without crashing, and flew it up above the house, landed it but took no photos or videos. So on the second day, I thought I’d try out the video function. It can be rather windy where I live, but I didn’t realise how windy it was that day! It took off and within a minute, the wind had caught it and it went a bit further than intended. I’m blind as a bat and was trying to work out what direction it was going but the wind seemed to keep taking it further away. It disappeared out of site and I wondered how I was going to tell my partner how my 70odd had just flown away. After what felt like several minutes of trying to bring it back and trying to use GPS return, I put down the controller. Told my partner about it, which was embarrassing more than anything…. especially as he didn’t know I’d bought it until it turned up (we’ve had bad experiences with cheaper drones in the past).
This is what made it worth every penny to me…… after admitting my amateurism to my partner, I decided to actually look at the instructions regarding GPS return and realised I was doing something wrong (I can’t remember what, as it was a while ago now, but only just got round to leaving a review!) Thought I’d go back outside and try GPS return again on the off chance it would come back, but I was holding out zero hope….I was also panicking about it plowing into a nearby dual carriageway somehow, so made sure I kept pressing up on the directional stick now and then…..
Then suddenly I notice a glint of the leds right in the distance! Eventually it made its way back, and when it got close enough, I hit emergency stop just in case….. but it landed in our garden! I can’t believe it returned! And I have an 11 minute video of it flying over the dual carriageway, over some fields in a nearby village where it hovered for most of the duration of the video, then flew back! It looked like it was really close to getting tipped over by the wind at some points going by the video footage (I’ll upload at some point if I can add to the review later) , but it made it home after its little adventure! Really pleased with it, and only flown it those 2 days so far due to weather and not wanting to chance flying from our garden again after realising we live under a wind tunnel. I haven’t even tried the other features like live streaming yet or tracking etc, so still got that to look forward to 🙂

Picked this up whilst on offer. Nice fairly simple drone if you follow instructions. Some nice quality photos. Was a little breezy on first flight so little bit of wobble and movement. Love the return to home feature and landed a few feet from take off point. Great pics and vids save straight to phone. Might get another battery but got a good 15 mins flight. Is nice and compact. Old Sima drone had camera but bulky to take anywhere and couldn’t see what you filming, most of time you wouldn’t realise you were filming set up and not flight until you got home. For the price (98) I can’t complain and does the job

Camera quality is great and will be even better once I fit an sd card into the drone. The features on the app are fab and have tried out nearly all of them which is the really cool advantage of this unit, you have time to fiddle with the app whilst the drone hovers in place, overall I’m so impressed

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe DEERC DE25 is a light, manoeuvrable drone that can fly as fast as you would ever need it to. Once you get the hang of it, it is easy to fly and my son (14 years old) was able to fly it. It does pretty much all that it claims to with the only problems I found being its weight and the controller.
The drone is noticeably light which means you do not need a license but also that wind heavily affects it. I would recommend trying it in large outdoor spaces before you master controlling it.
Furthermore, the control sticks are rather counter intuitive. Contrarily to in video games, the right stick controls movement and the left sticks controls rotation and height. This takes quite a bit of getting used to but then it is ok.
Lastly, this obviously is not a professional filming drone so you shouldn’t expect top quality shots. The camera is great for piloting and a few aerial photos but if you want a filming drone, this isn’t the one.
Overall, it is an absolute blast to pilot, and I would recommend to beginners and even those who have experience for great fun flying!

    Good beginner drone

A fun starter drone for those wanting some advanced features of drone flying without the price tag. GPS, return to home, follow me, altitude control and remote controlled camera.. App occasionally shows a battery error on handset but this is just false reporting which sorts itself out- does not detract from experience.

Everything was as expected and delivery was as swift as you would expect from Amazon Prime.

I watched loads of YouTube videos about this drone, so by the time it arrived I felt I knew everything about it. Takes time to set up initially so paitience is required but once you get going it’s total fun all the way. I was lucky that the first day I took it out there was hardly any wind so flying was very precise. It took hardly any time at all (5 mins) to master the basics of forward, reverse and side to side. By the time the battery ran out I was yawing and orbiting.

The return to home feature is amazing and mine landed within a foot (30 cm) of where it took off. I didn’t have an SD card so the footage you see in the video is not the greatest of quality and suffered choppiness over the wifi connection with my phone. I have since got an SD card but haven’t been able to fly due to strong winds in my area. I did set the camera to record while I held it and carried it around and the quality is much improved.

All in all I would recommend this drone to anyone starting out, like me. It’s a great price for the amount of technology in this drone and it’s fairly straightforward to set up and fly. I hope to spend many occasions learning the art of drone flying and aeriel photography with this drone before I dip into my savings to upgrade to anything more spohisticated. Buy it/Have fun.

My first experience in drone technology. After some research the DE25 (GPS) popped up on Amazon as a deal so decided to take the plunge!

It arrived quickly and is very well packaged. One very minor niggle is about the manual, mentioned on other reviews, it is very small and in places I did struggle to follow it, but their Customer Services Team are really helpful and very efficient.

I’ve managed a couple of quick intro-flights to familiarise myself with the controls.so the GPS, return to home and landing control functions have come in particularly useful! The App is easy to use too.

For me this is a great intro drone and looking forward to experimenting with longer, more adventurous flights and to try out some of the other functions as well as grabbing photos and video capture! If you are a beginner, like me, then I would highly recommend taking the plunge!

Impressive first folding drone and good value for money too!

This is the first Drone I’ve owned and I wanted to see if it was as much fun to fly as it looks when I’ve been watching YouTube, but I didn’t want to spend a great amount of money just in case it wasn’t for me. Now I have flown it a few times I’m really pleased with it. It flies really well and is quite stable when in hover mode. The camera is clear with good colour balance and should be good for the odd holiday photo or video, and though the camera is not on a gimble, so the drone only films forward, I still managed a full circle “point of intrest” video shot which turned out clear and smooth. The battery lasts about 18mins and gives a warning when it’s running low on power, but it still had enough to bring the drone into land back at its take off point. Setting up the drone from new was easy after downloading the app from the internet, and once the drone and controller batteries where fully charged it was only a few minutes to link the drone to my mobile phone so that I had a full camera display on my phone and a veiw forward from the drone. The phone fits into a device that clamps the phone securely to the controller. The drone and the controller fold down to a size that will fit into most coat pockets, so getting to a safe place to fly from doesn’t involve carrying any extra bags, though both would not take up much space in a backpack if you’re out for the day.
In summary, I think this is a great drone to start learning the basics with, and for getting to try out some of the camera’s potential. The price point is good and for the money, I think its great value. With features that I’ve seen on drones costing twice as much. I would say for children in their early teens this drone would make an ideal present, and for older people (like me) who want to try out a new hobby without spending a fortune, its a great way to get a feel for the potential pleasures, with many of the features of drones costing many times more on a good beginners to intermediate drone.
I’ll be happy to recommend this to anyone wanting to get into drone flying.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAfter lots of online research I settled for this drone (which is the same as SJRC Z5 but without 5G) and have been really pleased with my purchase. The drone arrived promptly (a big advantage ordering from Amazon and not a 3rd party seller based in China) and was beautifully package. The DE25 looks a feels like a quality item. It is lightweight: Holy Stone (parent company) quote it weighs 242g which puts it under the 250g threshold where you have to register with the CAA, take an online test and pay an annual subscription. I found information from the ‘Grey Arrows’ Drone Club website and the NATS Drone Assist app really helpful, especially when it came to finding somewhere to fly my drone. I was surprised how easy it was to set up ready to fly. It flies beautifully and the GPS features are great. The camera is good for the price but don’t expect professional quality video. Overall this is a great beginners/entry level drone.

DE25 is a small capable drone with lots of features, plenty of power and good battery life. The drone is easy to control and the app with FPV is great, the GPS helps keep the drone still even when windy. Despite its small size it is strong! So much so a random dog bit the drone like a bone, there are a few tooth marks in the body but it still works! I would definitely recommend this drone for ease of flight, features, battery life and strength.

Capable drone with plenty of features

This is a great little drone and falls just inside the legislation of 250g that would require a licence (although I did mine anyway for the sake of 9). It takes a little bit of setting up to get the WiFi on the drone to recognise the phone but that may just be me and my inexperience pairing them. The instructions on the app are easy to follow and controls are simple to get to grips with after a few flights. Batteries last about 10-12 minutes so I bought 2 more which gives a decent about of play time. I also bought a case for it to keep it safe on our travels. It has an occasional glitch with the camera when it goes out of range and comes back in again. The way point plotting works well, as does the follow me but make sure it’s high enough as it has no obstacle avoidance so will run into trees if they are in it’s flight path. I only did this once and it survived the branch to branch crash to the floor from about 30 meters (maybe I was just lucky but it was undamaged). The other thing I was really impressed with was the return to home feature. This is brilliant and works to within about 3 feet from where it took off. Camera and video quality is quite good too for it’s size and the fact you can move it up and down for different views is handy. The app works well for a controlled take off / landing / return to home etc. For the price, this is an excellent little bit of kit and a really great introduction into drones and flying with enough features to keep it interesting. I would recommend this to a new or amateur flyer to play with before spending big bucks on a bigger (more expensive) drone.

Love how easy this is to fly, make sure you get a second battery as it’s a pain to charge and wait before using the drone again. Make sure to connect the app to the Drone through Wifi and not bluetooth, rookie mistake I was trying to use the app and connect via bluetooth until I realized it had to be done through Wifi.
But for a beginners drone it’s amazing, just make sure to get a spare battery.

After trying to learn on a non gps drone badly, I bought this and it’s perfect – was easy to set up and work out how to use it – had 2 flights so far and can’t wait to go out again. The GPS holds fairly well but a tip is watch the wind as this can knock it off a little but not enough to make it hard to control ! The camera and video is good and the return to home feature is a god send ! Good purchase all round !

Really good product for the 150 mark although some niggles around functionality drop it to 4 stars. Easy to set up and quick start on the app is a god send as you need to set the Drone up properly before you fly. This drone uses GPS signalling meaning you get really secure flight characteristics and the ability to return to home if the system detects the battery is getting low. Camera is 1080p but by the time you’ve got the images onto your phone its really 720. Great range for a Drone of this type but Video only really works up to about 100m and not 600m as advertised, but again i bring you back to the price this is only 150 so if you’re just getting started its a great first Drone to build your skills on. The next move from here, in the fold able Drone Market, is north of 500

    Picture and video quality good
When taking video the image can be a bit jumpy, but that is down to my flying skills and the fact its a fixed camera and not a 360 gimbal camera although the camera can be controlled from the receiver to move up or down.

Great drone for someone just starting off it has a battery life of 18 minuets so I would advise getting a spare battery to allow longer use. The blades on the drone are very durable and you receive a few spares in the box which is very handy. The main downside is there is quite a lot of latency between the drone and the app on your phone meaning if the drone isn’t in sight it’s quite hard to control.

I’ve owned several cheap drones, which usually end up virtually unusable.
This drone, however, is superb. It is very stable and will hover if no controls are touched, rather than plummeting to the ground like some of my cheaper drones.
For beginners, the speed is variable but you will soon gain confidence and notch it up to speed 3. Also you can set the range and flight ceiling on the app.
Photos and videos can be recorded on your smartphone or on a micro SD card. Both photos and video are quite impressive.
The camera is on a gimbal which can rotate 90 degrees, from straight ahead to straight down And anywhere in between.
Return to home is very accurate.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI’ll be honest, I like Holystone drones, they are full of features and offer great value for money. As this is my third, I now have a “squadron”, each with its own place on the flight line, from the HS700 for semi-pro photographs to the tiny 110D for fun.

At 14cm x 19cm when folded, and weighing only 266gm (unfortunately just over the 250gm limit for registration in the UK when the new regulations come into effect), this one is going to be kept in the glove box, ready for use at all times. It’s brilliant. Flight prep is really very simple, and from unfolding to take-off takes about 15-20 seconds.

The speed regulator control is extremely useful, not only for beginners, but for more experienced operators flying in confined spaces such as indoors. For beginners the ability to set maximum flight radius and altitude is a definite benefit.

This is one of the easiest drones I’ve used when it comes to taking video or photographs, as the relevant buttons rest naturally under your fingers as you hold the remote, and of course are easily accessible on the app too.
The drone has so many features it is difficult to run through them all in a review like this, but the fun of “follow me” and “hand gesture” recognition is accompanies by the potentially serious feature of waypoint flying — just make sure you have good GPS signal.

Flight time is excellent. I always RTB after about fifteen minutes in the air, but there is still plenty of power left in the battery when I land. The battery power is not only indicated on the app and remote, but also by four blue LEDs on the battery itself.

The only criticism I have of this drone is that the instruction manual is very small, and in places a little unclear.

This is a really great portable drone, which like other Holystone drones is excellent value for money, backed by really helpful, friendly and fast customer service.

Attached video taken on a very blustery day.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersWe bought this drone for our future son-in-law (fingers crossed). This was his 21st birthday present. We has bought him a small drone for xmas and he loved it. He wants to use this for checking on his sheep and his fathers flock also without having to go around the fields using fuel on their quad bike. He wants to do his bit for the environment. These are the very first photographs from the drone straight out of the box. We have permission from our local football club to fly and photograph there so it makes a perfect training area. Watching him I was really surprised at how long the battery lasted, I honestly didn’t expect it to go for as long. But he will need another couple of batteries from DEERC to do what he wants it for. But that’s no problem. The drone is very sturdy and the box it comes in is ideal for transporting it also. It pops in his rucksack and is safe and well protected. The wings/arms come out and pop into place. The props are quite thin so I would suggest using the box until you can get a holdall for it. The controller is a really nice size and very well balanced with the average phone, we used a Sony Experia XZ , to give you an idea of the size. I would strongly recommend getting a shield for it as we had to stand in the shade to see the screen properly, it was a beautiful sunny day and the glare off the screen made it very hard to see. You can get one off Amazon for 7.29

I have posted a selection of the photos took and a very short video just to give you an idea of the camera. You can see on a couple where the drone wasn’t steady the shot has what you would say a little camera shake on it, while others are a lot more sharper. He is a total novice as am I tbh so a lot more practice is needed. We will post update pictures and video at a later date.
I am very impressed with the quality of the drone overall and for the money I think it is a really good buy.

I hope you find this review useful.

I bought this drone to take on holiday to the Maldives and it was a brilliant choice. The drone is very sturdy, has altitude hold, and so easy to fly that my 11yo son used it too. Most import the battery life went for around 20minutes which is rare for a drone in this price range. The camera can work straight ahead or for ground shots which is amazing too. All in all, I would thoroughly recommend this drone to anyone who want a easy to use, easy to set up drone which has brilliant battery life, you wont be disappointed. 10/10.

I am not a very experienced flyer, hence this model seemed like the ideal combination of being big enough to stay on the air and small enough to not being intimidated. Turns out I was right. This drone arrived swiftly and well boxed, Inside was well presented and the instruction manual is very indepth. The drone is well balanced and well made, the plastic on the arms is thick and strong, the body is thinner but not flimsy. I charged the battery and it took 2 and a half hours, as stated in the manual, and the controller took 1 hr. It flies well, the GPS calibration is easy and connecting to the app went simply too. It holds its position really well and the return to home function worked every time. Also the tracking and follow me functions worked pretty well for a toy/hobby grade drone, not perfect but good. The camera is ok, it is 1080p and it does record to the onboard SD card slot if you use a class 10 up to 16gb card. All in all I’m very happy with it!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe drone turned up a well built and well packaged boxed, very impressed with that.
The size of the drone folded is great and the remote folded up is also small. Incredibly lightweight which is great for poping in a bag to carry about with you but does mean slight wind can make it differcult to fly. I flew it straight from box and it handled well with tight turns and manoeuvres. But like i said the wind picked up to about 5mph and it started moving off centre.
Overall i wouldnt say this a beginner drone as i feel you need a bit of experience with drone flights but this is a well built drone, and great drone to take out and about with you. Oh and the camera on it is very good quality and the fact it saves it directly to your phone is a big plus!

I really love this drone for many reasons, not least it’s incredible size. I enjoy a bit of mountain biking and I’ve been looking for a really high quality drone that I can fit in a backpack without success until now. Then I found the DEERC DE25.

This is a phenomenal drone, packed with all the features you would want or hope to find in any high end drone. It flies beautifully and the battery life is incredible for a drone this size. I really don’t know how they do it. Equipped with GPS and auto return makes this a safe bet for the beginner and the quality of the 1080p camera makes it an interesting buy for the more experienced flyer in search of a shot. This drone has all the features to make that possible.

This is a truly amazing drone and it’s exceptional value at this price.

    I would buy again.

Golden Review Award: 29 From Our UsersWe already have a HS200D which is a great little drone, but having learned to fly it we wanted something a bit more sophisticated.

The DE25 is in a different league, mainly because of its built-in GPS system. This keeps it stable in flight (even in a breeze) and also brings with it several features such as ‘Point of Interest’ (circle) flight and automatic ‘Return to Home’. There is also a ‘Follow Me’ mode, ‘Waypoint Mode’ (preset flight path), hand gesture control and many other features. The ‘Return to Home’ triggers when the drone’s battery is low or if it loses the signal from the controller. This certainly gives a bit more confidence when flying as a relative beginner.

The drone comes very well packaged and includes a spare set of rotors, screws and a screwdriver (see pictures).

The fact that both the drone and remote control unit fold up is a real bonus. Both will fit in a coat pocket when folded, so it’s very easy to take the drone along with you wherever you go.

The attached video is from the DE25’s maiden flight which was just a quick test. I sent it up in the front garden, triggered the ‘Point of Interest’ mode and it flew round in a perfect circle. I then pressed the ‘Return to Home’ button and the drone automatically landed very close to where it was launched from.

The downloadable app installs to your phone and communicates with the drone via wi-fi. This enables you to see live on your phone what the drone’s camera is seeing. A useful feature is being able to change the camera angle from a horizontal view to vertical from the remote control during flight. Videos and photos can both be recorded with a simple button click and are recorded to your phone and also to an on-board SD card (not supplied). Image quality is excellent.

The app also gives lots of information about the drone such as height and distance from home, vertical and horizontal speed, GPS information and battery state of both drone and controller.

All in all, I’m delighted with this drone and would recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersThis is a superb wee drone, fits into your jacket pocket ready to unfold and fly. An HD camera makes it decent quality photos. Small compact and actually fits in my jacket pocket 😉 Great design as it saves walking with a huge drone in your hands and everyone watching 😉

Remembering you are paying less than 200 for this drone, it has to put it into a catagory of great learning drone. Yes it is small so not as easy to fly in a little wind like the video shows (5MPH winds) but it handles it well.

This drone for me is a must have for learning on 🙂 I cant say enough good about this drone. I strongly recommend it as a starting point. Lies inbetween the cheap rubbish and the expensive pro stuff. Fills that gap well.

Hi, welcome to my little review of the DE25(GPS)…. where do I start!! Well, very well packaged, great size, easy to setup and easy to get phone connected via WiFi to the drone, we have vision!!! … at this point I will mention that I had a little problem starting the motors, it said they were locked!!
Anyway quick look at the manual ( you know what us guys are like) and we had motors fired up and up up and away…

I have to say this was very stable straight out of the box and was a pleasure to fly, camera image was good, live view is great with no lag to phone or controller and very responsive.
Plus all videos and pictures saved straight to my iPhone.

Took it up about 20mtrs and felt very comfortable still responsive and doing everything I wanted it too.

I am really looking forward to getting this out in some wide open fields and giving it a thorough distance and height test.

I Let my 7yr old son take control and he had no problems at all.

All in all a great little drone with amazing features that I will thoroughly enjoy getting used to once I’ve mastered it, it has active track, GPS, return to home ( which worked a treat) and you can create a flight path for it to follow based on a map, although I’m yet to try that as I think I may need more space to get the most from it.
