Works perfectly as indicated with Dewalt red laser. Outdoor 75 feet away in daylight where the bare eyes could not even detect a glimpse of the light.
It allows me to use my laser level farther than I can using just my eye. I mounted it to a 2 inch wide 5 foot aluminum ruler making quick and accurate measurements a breeze. I use a Dewalt laser level that is, of course, compatible with this detector.
Well engineered and robust, can take knocks and drops. You need it when using a red laser during daylight. I would recommend
Brilliant and at half the price of new. In fact it was new from what I could make out, just the packaging a little damaged, but who keeps boxes.
I don’t need a rotary laser and this works with the Dewalt laser I already had. I was able to get a read up to at least 120 feet from my laser. It is sensitive to harsh sunlight though. In the late afternoon, you need to shield the detector window to get it to work. I just put my hand above, enough to cast a shadow on it, for it to work. One gripe, sticky rubber pads on the clamp sound like a good thing but if you are sliding the unit up or down a rod while getting a read, this is a hassle. Just cover the rubber with a little blue tape or even better, the loop part of velcro and it makes it much easier. It is extremely sensitive the closer you are to the laser but for what I was doing, this wasn’t a problem. Used it to grade sewer and rain water collection lines, made it a piece of cake.

This is absolutely spot on! Really helped a lot with the levelling of the ground to prep for concrete. Bonus is that it was a LOT cheaper than anywhere else

Excellent set out a 1600 sq meter wooden building with two floors movement from one end to the other 3 mm so very pleased indeed. Well worth the money has saved hours of time.
