Digital Ultrasonic Cleaner – DK SONIC 3L 120W Sonic Cleaner with Heater Basket Digital Timer for Jewelry,Ring,Eyeglasses,Denture,Watchband,Coins,Small Metal Parts,Record,Circuit Board etc(3L,220V)
Only used it a few times but it has done a good job. It fixed the carburettors on both my petrol mower and the strimmer by removing the blockage. Cleaned up an Amiga mouse PCB which was surprising as to how much grime came off. Cleaned my wife’s jewellery which came out all bright and shiny again. Very happy with it.
My first point is that the capacity is not 6 litres as advertised – not unless you fill it beyond the “fill line”. That said the tank is big enough to take the carburettors I wanted to clean. I was impressed with the job it did and the carburettors came out looking like new. Time will tell just how reliable it is as a lot of the ultrasonic cleaners on the market seem to fail quite quickly. For the moment, I’d certainly give it 5 stars.
I bought this ultrasonic cleaner specifically because of its transducer design and its heating capacity. I have used it to deep clean my heavily egr gunk contaminated swirl flaps and the injectors to my BMW E60 520d. At 60 degrees Celsius and full wave cycle and a good quality ultrasonic cleaner it worked like as you can see in the photos to strip all the dirt on 16 year old injectors at 171k miles. Honestly they looked like new after the clean and despite being a chartered mechanical engineer and having studied metallurgy including doing research I would struggle now to identify the age or mileage these injectors have seen and done. The photos speak for themselves – what an outstanding end result. Next will be my Ford Focus injectors and the Shimano Ultegra chain set ! They do a 30l version which is pricey but might be a great solution to heavily caked egr gunk inlet manifolds. I don’t delete egr valves but rather clean up after them as they help heat up the engine quicker and keep my cars within the emissions standards on NOx and soot build up on my dpf.
Rebecca Workman Tara Lerman Sara Gagnon and Kate Butler says:
Used this machine for making liposomal vitamin c and found it to be perfect for the purpose as it has an independently adjustable heat control. I had a query for the suppliers and they replied very quickly. The 3 litre tank is nice and spacious yet the machine is compact. I would recommend this product and this vendor.
OK what is there to say about this type of machine, hopefully it is a given that it works, so I will say a few things about its functionality.
First off it was extremely well packaged. No damage and nothing missing. Instructions were as we have come to expect from stuff from Chinese manufacturers. Basic and in passable English.
Two things that did surprise me. Firstly how fast it heated up to the temperature that I initially set (45 degrees), using water straight from the tap so whatever temp that was. Other reviews were stating it took forever to get up to temperature but not in my case. I can’t say how long it took but not long! As for noise, then I was also expecting it to be noisier than it was. Bearable, but I wasn’t in the room with it whilst it was doing its stuff. As for results? Well for the first attempt I used a mixed bag of things like steel watch strap, gold bracelets, jewellery etc and just using nothing more aggressive than clean water with a quirt of fairy liquid in it, then the items came up clean. Particularly the watch strap that had ten years of accumulated grime in it, then great results. Am I happy with my purchase, well yes at the moment. Nut I have only used it a few times, so the real test is how long it last before it breaks down. If it breaks down.
Very well built with a large capacity. Bought for my father who’s in to metal detecting. Removes 100’s of years of dirt from the stuff he digs up. The large tank coupled with high quality drain tap is brilliant! Only complaint is that it can take a long time for the internal heater to get the tank up to temperature
Not a complaint, just a heads up – although the primary frequency is ultrasonic, it does emit a high pitch noise whilst running due to harmonics & other physics madness.
This arguably a commercial/industrial machine so expecting it to be silent in operation whilst in runs in the corner of your living room whilst watching Avant Garde French cinema is an absurd ask, but if you’re using it, some music/headphones wouldn’t be a bad shout if you’re using it in a domestic setting.
I’ve had this just over a month now. I use it for “deep cleaning” xbox controller shells and PCBs as part of refurbishing them. As such it’s had a fair amount of use. Generally I’ve been happy with it and it speeds up the cleaning process no end. Good points are that it seems reasonably sturdy and seems to clean well. It’s a bit noisy but no more so than others I’ve seen. The bath gets up to temperature reasonably quickly however that’s where things go a bit awry as the thermostatic control, on mine at least, is next to useless. I certainly would not leave it unattended while heating. The only other negative is that the display is pretty much unreadable unless it’s in the dark. this is no big deal for me as I use the same cycle each time and it remembers the settings. I’m glad I bought the 6 litre version as anything smaller would have been unsuitable for my primary use. It’s quite expensive but compared to genuine “professional” units (Crest etc.) which cost more like a grand it seems reasonable value. I don’t regret buying it.
This machine is high quality and works very well. I have bought this for cleaning classic car part and in particular smaller parts such as Carburettors etc. The cleaning action is fantastic my only slight critisim is that the instructions are obviously translated into English and have lost some of the accuracy/meaning in doing so. However I managed to overcome the few points I had questions about using the internet so no problems. This would be ideal for all sorts of applications such as jewelry or other industrial cleaning applications.
Bought to replace a similar item that had burnt out, I have found the DK Sonic 6L ultrasonic cleaner to be a far superior item. Right from the first de-gassing I could see the difference which immediately gave me confidence in its performance. Of course, it’s important to use the correct cleaning solution as I use the cleaner mainly for refurbishing automotive parts (carburetors, fuel injectors, brake parts etc.) but I have found the DK Sonic to produce excellent results compared to my previous cleaner. Highly satisfied and would not hesitate to recommend DK Sonics.
So far i am greatly impressed with this. Its my 3rd ultra sonic cleaner and is the best. My 1st broke after a week and second lasted nearly 3 years with daily use. But none of them performed like this machine. You can see the water moving and it has a heater and it can run for 99mins rather than 9 min cycles.
Brilliant device also it is dual ultrasonic explaining why its so efficient. Brilliant buy. Just hope it lasts.
Good quality, fair price for size — bought it to clean keyboard keys and some metal parts that get very oily and greasy and it works flawlessly.
I love the industrial look of the machine, I specifically didn’t want something that was just a plastic sphere. The instructions were clear, and the machine is easy to use. The price was in a fair price range for a 60W 2L cleaner — especially considering there was Prime same-day delivery on this item for me!
Tried it on a few carburettor bits so far. Just water with a drop or two of detergent. Seems to work well and certainly loosened grim from hard to get to crevices. Only down side is the UK mains lead supplied was simply awful. After first use the earth pin fell off – yes you read that correctly! Fortunately I had a spare. You will need one with an IEC (kettle type) plug at the other end – the one supplied will be rubbish and fit only for the bin. Five stars for the cleaner. No stars for the lead.
Bought as a present for m y son, who is restoring a motorcycle, it arrived well packed and in timely fashion. It is early days to comment on the deeper topics of reliability etc. However it has been presented and he has carried out his first few tasks. He is delighted and sent me a photo of the fluid condition after the first Carburetter had been cleaned. It was filthy so certainly the cleaner is doing its job. He is well satisfied, therefore so am I. In fact I am considering obtaining one myself. Thank you.
I bought this product to safely clean some electrical and plastic machine components and I have very impressed with the results. Obviously different cleaning agents are used depending on the item being cleaned but so far it has been excellent. The drain tap makes emptying the tank very easy and the unit itself is very easy to wipe clean once used. The fact that it has worked so well I have now expanded the range of parts which are cleaned using the unit.
