I’m one of those people who doesn’t read manuals unless I have to. In this case I didn’t need to. I found the scanner so simply to use straight away, no problems, no issues. Very happy to find it has more than one size of photo scanning facillity, as I have multiple photo sizes. It looks good buttons have a good feel about them.Overall highly recommended, we’ll see how it lasts.

Brought this as a gift. It was very easy to set up and use. The unit is light weight which makes moving the item extremely simple. The viewing screen however is rather small and difficult to see.

Golden Review Award: 108 From Our UsersGood, quality unit, with an easy to navigate on screen interface. Handles plastic 35mm slides (though perhaps not limited to these), both cardboard and plastic. There’s a feeder fr the slides which works via slots at both sides of the unit and a slot on top with an attachable feeder, much like a traditional home printer. The plastic slides seem to be handles better in the feeder. The process is easy. Photographic scans are good and I am happy with the results at 16mp. Recommended.

Golden Review Award: 76 From Our UsersSo far I have used this only for scanning slides. It works very well for 35mm slides. The old 126 slides fitted the device but the scan missed a small area at the top and bottom of each slide.

I found this item very easy to use. I had hundreds of slides from many years ago in the attic and have successfully put them on my computer. Many happy memories.

Golden Review Award: 200 From Our UsersGot this to get out pictures scanned in professional quality. It scans it perfectly and saves all into memory card directly.
On top it has its own digital led display. Makes much easy to see and set to right position.
It scans pictures in 3.5″x5″, 4″x6″ and 5″x7″ by using back slot. Very easy to use, just straight forward, no professional training needed.
It also scanned directly from 35mm film in to the digital memory card.
It came with usb charge cable which can connected directly to power bank, which makes it extremely portable.
Overall great product which easy to use and gives great quality result.
Have a look to my pictures to see real size, hope it will be helpful to decide if it’s suitable for personal needs or not.

Golden Review Award: 90 From Our UsersIt is rather fiddly to use at first, but you soon get used to the various adjustments for different photographs, negatives are very easy to do, paid for itself in the first 1000 scans!.One empty photo box

It scans images to a reasonable quality but not as good as a regular scanner. On this basis I feel it was a bit over priced.

Golden Review Award: 154 From Our UsersI note that the cheaper versions of this device occasionally have complaints. There seem to be two cheaper versions – one at about 60 and one at 90. This one is almost double the price, but you get what you pay for I suppose.

Device used so far with a couple of hundred 35mm positives and some large colour photographs. Results were very good, but some slides slipped out of place in the slide-holder. Occurs with thinner cardboard slides, remedy I have used is to cut a narrow strip of printer paper, cut it into short lengths and fold it like a hinge, then place it over the bottom of the slides before closing the slide. This holds the thinner ones in place. It is a minor nuisance sometimes. Plastic frames don’t do this because they are much thicker, and some of the heavier cardboard frames are exempt also.

Device also does photos of various sizes with very good results. Negatives not tested.

I have had no problems so far with “cropping”, but that could happen if you don’t read the manual.

I would recommend this device to my friends.

Golden Review Award: 126 From Our Usersi have used this to retrieve 35mm slides dating back to the 1960,s. Once i got into the swing of it , it was easy to use, copied straight to a sd card and then input into my computer. I was unsure because of the cost, but now that i have used it, it was worth every penny to get those memories back of my family.

Golden Review Award: 128 From Our UsersMy grandfather used to be an avid photographer and recently he’s lost a lot of quality of eyesight meaning with smaller 10 x 15 prints he really can’t see them. I cam up with the idea to scan them so he can blow them up and look into the detail whenever he wants, he has thousands of images to do, so this machine came to mind. I’m able to scan prints and negatives both just as easily as the other. negatives go straight into the slide and slips inside to be scanned. The standard picture prints sit on the top slot and slide in using the included frame too. There is a small 4gb memory card included but if like me you’re doing alot of scans you’ll want to upgrade that pretty quickly. other than that, it’s a really straight forward process.

Golden Review Award: 180 From Our UsersI like that this is a stand-alone item so I can use it anywhere and then download to a computer from the SD card just like from my camera. Getting started was quick and easy. The main reason for getting it was to scan some very old colour transparencies (1950’s) and I was pleased to find that the scanner slide holder was able to accommodate the thick old-fashioned mounts.

Golden Review Award: 111 From Our UsersHave used it to scan both photos and slides. It is a competent scanner and produces very usable copies allowing editing and sharing. However the slide carrier has serious defect in that the slides drop out of the retaining ‘frame’ when they are inserted into the scanner resulting in a black edge to the top of the image, requiring some subsequent cropping as well as some small loss of content. This could, I am sure, be easily corrected by a small change to the mould tool for the slide carrier. If you decide to do this, please send me the improved version!

Golden Review Award: 155 From Our UsersFound some old slides in the roof dating from the 1960’s and decided to see if I could transfer them on to my computer, I can not believe how easy it is to do and the quality of the pictures – great machine

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI have several hundred slides taken by my father in the 1960’s and onwards. We used to view them on mom and dad’s slide projector many years ago. Since dad died 17 years ago I have often looked at the boxes of slides and thought that one day I would get around to sorting them out. I decided to purchase this film scanner in order to save these slides onto digital media and haven’t regretted doing so. It’s so easy to use and has enabled me to recall so many memories even though I’ve only completed a few slides so far. I’ll be kept busy for a while but it’s so rewarding.
