Bought as a gift for my nephew it kept him and others amused and they enjoyed playing it. Seemed to be easy to understand how to play it and it looked good. Everything worked no problems. It was really good value aswell and delivered quickly.

It’s the modern version of the 1970’s Frustration Game. Google it if you are young enough not to remember Frustration. We have had hours of fun playing this with the Grand Kids. Golden memories of happy care free times. Value for money and would defo recommend.

However even though the plastic popper had a piece of protective cover on it, after taking it off it was still a bit scratched. But apart from that a very good product.

Trying to get a few games that I can play with the grandchildren when they visit. My children had something similar so I’m hoping it will be just as popular with their kids. The board isn’t as sturdy but the dice flips nicely.

Fantastic game brings back the best nostalgia from years ago. This generation probably won’t know about this but it’s highly competitive and very fun had lots of good memories on this.

The “Race To Base” boardgame from DIVCHI is a cheap and cheerful version of the classic “Pop N’ Hop” aka “Home Run” game for young children to have fun with.

The rules are incredibly simple. A game of luck with a little knocking your opponent back fun involved, as you race around the board to try to get back to your base as quick as you can.

The quality of the game is excellent. The board is made from a very sturdy hard-plastic which can be wiped clean etc and is ideal for taking away camping and the like.

The presentation is equally as good, with strong vivid colours all over the board and the pieces. The die pops nicely in the centrally dome. There’s little in this that can get easily damaged to be fair.

As a young child I remember playing a version of this. I loved playing it with my siblings on raining Saturday mornings. Now my young niece loves playing it when they come visiting.

Plenty of fun to be had. A well-made version of an absolute classic introduction to boardgames.

I played the original Frustration game as a kid and loved it but their newer version isn’t the same and I don’t like it. This item is almost a carbon copy of the original, albeit under a different name and it is definitely more up my street than the branded version.

The rules are simple, you have to get all your counters around the board and into their matching homes before the other player. Landing on another player sends their piece back to the start. the dice is inside a clear plastic dome which you “pop” to roll (no chance of losing the dice in this game!).

It’s nostalgic, and I was pleasantly surprised to find this was more like my childhood memories than other versions. Would highly recommend.

I prefer this to the newer version of the original game

This is a great game for all The family. The game is for up to 4 players, we’ve played it a few times now and everyone loves it especially my young daughter. It’s good quality and well made. Easy to follow. Really impressed.

This board game is basically an updated version of Frustration. It’s brilliant to have such a simple game that multiple younger kids can be involved with and where they can’t lose the dice!

Having said that, I do agree with other reviewers that the game is a bit flimsy and I don’t hold out much hope for it lasting a long time with younger kids, especially with how desperate the kids are to push the middle dome to roll the dice!

    Updated version of frustratio

I’m surprisingly happy with this considering you can’t buy much under 10 anymore. I had this game (called frustration) in the 80’s. It’s pretty much the same. It’s sturdy, came complete, dice clicker works fine and pieces all fit fine. I purchased tor my 5 & 7 year old to play and what I like about it is they can just get it out the cupboard and play without needing a grown up or someone to set it up. I would recommend

This boardgame is probably intended for younger players (or parents and children) than any nostalgia tripping adults but its a fun, simple game without a lot of complex rules to remember or apply during play. You just roll the dice and move the counters, aim to reach “home base” first with the most counters. I’ve heard it said that there are different strategies that can be applied to ensure victory but honestly it is a game that seems to have more to do with chance or luck than anything else.

The board, counters, dice dome, are all of decent quality and its easy to set up and put away again, I love it, although I love the older incarnations of this game too, Ludo it used to be called. Fun game, good product/version, recommended.

So it’s fun and the games can be competitive

Kids and adults can play together.

This is basically a copy of a well-known board game we have but we get this as a Christmas present for a friend’s daughter. The plastics used are on the cheap side and it is very light. The underside is a not-so-thick piece of card, which is held in place by a couple of tabs on each side. It does feel a bit flimsy. The counters are fine and there were no issues using the dice popper part.

Our friends young daughter was very pleased, so thumbs up from her.

At approx. 25% cheaper than the branded version it is good value but given the small price differential, I think I would go for the branded version.

I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful. Thanks for reading.
NB. For a sizing guide, squares in photos are 1cm.

Reasonable quality and great, fun game.

This frustration based dice game is easy to play and set up. The game arrived boxed and in perfect condition. It’s fun for older kids to play but the theme can be a little boring after a while in the age of iPhones and ps5’s. I find a special sort of board game is required to grip the attention of kids these days. A decent price though for a rainy day activity.

Fun for all the family as it’s simple to grasp game, a race to the finish line.
It has a ludo vibe to it with the addition of a few new rules and variations.
It also has a vein of snakes and ladders throughout it with you possibly being sent back to the starting line if another player lands on one of your pieces.
Not a big raucous game but a pleasant one with some genuine excitement involved.
The popping dice is a great addition, helps you keep the dice with the game rather then them getting lost.

This Race to base is Perfect size for travel, and big enough to play at home too! We love the dice.

it hours of fun with family

remember playing as a child so bought for my kids. Just as fun as ever

, my little one enjoyed it as much as we did all those

changed a bit since I was younger, but its still a really fun game & the introduction of the genie is a good idea, however, we make our own rules about how it’s used

    Hours of fun with family

Great reproduction of the game “Frustration” even including the popping dice in the centre of the board.

The premise is simple get your coloured counters out and around the base and back home without encountering issues with other players.

    Inexpensive game and highly recommended

This feels cheap (which it isn’t), and I can’t see the cardboard base onto which the plastic game surface is stuck lasting long with a determined fiddly child. I tried playing it with a just-4 year old, who was entertained by the dice-turning clicky thing, although she got a run of about six ‘4’s, then endless ‘1’s, but the actual game didn’t hold her attention. She was happy arranging the coloured pieces in families, and did some counting, and moving around the board, but she them announced that she wanted to win (her bigger sister will determinedly throw a dice over and over until she gets the number she wants and ignores all accusations of cheating) so not being able to “fix” the dice annoyed her. She then only wanted to play families with the pieces. So not a great success.
The dice clicker did give some quite stubbornly long runs of returning the same number, which became annoying. I’ll try again with her 6 year old sister, and with a 9 year old lad, and see if they enjoy it more, adn update if it’s more of a success.

We love this as it is obviously based on the old game Frustration which we all love and grew up with.

Firstly the colours are lovely and vibrant and it has excellent graphics – both of which will appeal to young children.

The counters that you move are also colourful but what surprised my is the dice in the centre popper is also colourful – nice touch.

It’s well built and all the family will enjoy this

Great for playing games with the grand kids

In this day and age where computer screens are king and all things electronic rule the pastime landscape, I was genuinely surprised to see this old board game up for review and what a fantastic blast from the past this turned out to be.

It would appear somethings have changed in all the years since this once popular family board game first came on the scene. The board and its plastic manufacture are of a somewhat more flimsy construction than the original product but otherwise, everything is as it was back in the day, with the rules governing the game exactly as first published.

The idea of the game is quite simple in that, to complete the task, each player must endeavour, through the use of a single dice, to advance their four counters, clockwise around the board, to their final resting place of safety, but I’m afraid that’s where the simplicity ends.

With up to three other players advancing on you, any one of your counters could be sent back ‘home’ to start all over again at any time. The concept might be easy, but getting your counters all ‘home’ to secure victory, is anything but. With all four players involved, this game can become delightfully manic and the source of some real family or friendly fun.

In summary, there’s potentially hours of fun in this board game and to that end, the 9.49 asking price seems like good value for money to me. However, having said that, I feel that they could have strengthened the plastic casing for the game, but as it stands, it’s a little bit on the flimsy side.

I remember this game from the early 90’s, when it was called ‘Frustration’. Exact same rules and just as I remember. This board seems tad flimsy, but it’s still good value.

I was looking for a simple board game to play with the grandchildren. This fits the bill perfectly. The rules are uncomplicated and the game moves quickly — very similar to Ludo. The board is quite substantial and should last well. The dice is concealed in its own dome so it will never get lost.

I would have preferred a better storage box (one with a removable lid rather than a side opening) and a container for the playing pieces.

The eight year-old enjoyed it and we will certainly be playing this regularly.

This is standard Frustration game, I really like the board , I love that it’s so colourful and bright.
I’m not a great fan of the dice in the dome. It very often turns the dice to the same side / number as it was on originally. But its good as you will never loose it.
    Thw rules are standard:
Roll 6 to get out of house
Keep going round till you reach the base
Roll exact amount to get in and finish game

This is good game for all ages , fantastic for Christmas or weekend in .
I would buy again and I would recommend
I hope my review and photos were helpful

    Great game
