Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is ideal when you are sat outside with a chill and don’t care what it takes, you just want to turn the heat on and be warm straight away this does just that.

No messing around just switch it on and it works, it has a couple of heat settings for lower or higher heat depending on how cold it actually is, don’t forget though, don’t leave the cable coiled up and if you have to use an extension lead make sure it is fully extended as the cables themselves will heat up with the power they draw through them.

Putting it together is really easy, basically like a metal lego style each piece just slots in to the next and the base is heavy enough that it won’t topple over, we have a cover over it to keep it outside and it hasn’t knocked over at all even in high winds.

We’re very pleased with this heater. Assembly was easy and it’s an attractive addition to our balcony, extending its use for more months of the year.

Very pleased with my purchase. Ray to assemble and gave enough heat for a chilly summer evening bbq. After looking at similar in our local garden centres, this was by far the best value at such a good price.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersSurprised at how much heat this put out (and wetting myself how much the electricity would cost!) but considering it was on 3 bars a good 4 or 5 hours was about 1.50 which was well worth it to keep grandad warm in the newly converted car port to garden ‘room’

My family enjoy a good evening chill out session in the garden during the summer, some nights are colder then other so we tend to always have a small heater on. This has been so nice to have I’ve had it on a few times already and It’s not even summer yet. I will make good use of this product over the summer. Great quilts and perfect size keeps the seating area in the garden warm. It’s not a big heater but it’s super hot. Great quality and great value for money

Great product easy to assemble although diagram instructions very small. Took photo with phone and enlarged. But excellent all round. Very happy with purchase recommended to friend.

It is a great addition to our garden, especially useful in this cold season and when you need some fresh air outside and enjoy wine and movies, this electric garden patio heater gives warm. Easy to use and it is weather proof so no need to move indoor but I do suggest to cover it when it is not in use as it is electric.

Easy to use, works on a (very long) pull cord. Chucks out a fair amount of heat in the immediate area.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThis had the usual poor instructions especially regards the attachment of the heating head to the top pole. The parts list was not clear either. It was left to me to figure it out; There is one pole which has the crucial part hidden within it. It is a smaller and non rounded pole which pulls up and allows the heater head to form a union with the top pole. The pole has adjustable height but I found leaving it unincreased but using all three poles was the best for a seated party.

The heat settings are basically quarter heat, three quarter heat, full heat.

This is achieved by the settings operating that proportion of its heat bars. The pull cord seems ok but I decided to leave mine set on 3 quarter heat and use the plus as the on off switch just in case.

This could have been better designed for portability by having wheels on one side of the base and having the pole holding screws integrated in each poles sides rather than having them as loose screws which must not be lost and need a screwdriver for (included but still a faff to have to save somewhere).

Nonetheless if you want to move it in the car to someone’s garden I leave one section of the poles unscrewed and this allows quick separation for fitting it in the car and seems stable even without screwing that section in.
Obviously not with children around if that were the case I would not leave it unscrewed.

This is a very good and reasonably priced garden heater (or conservatory or even house if one was needed for emergency use.) I found I was able to sit out in winter in the daytime using it and had it not been there this would not have been possible it does make a big difference.

I found out that this electric patio heather is much better then gas one, easier to use and do not need gas bottle, refill and connection to it. This one is very wasy to use and is very effective

We live in a static caravan so wanted to heat up lounge quickly on a morning. This was much quicker and warmer than the electric fire with three heat settings it is totally controllable. We have the added advantage that inthe summer we can use it on the patio

We use this recently for a neighbourhood street party and it surprising how much heat this throws out particularly on the second setting.

The base is nice and heavy so stability is good and it doesn’t take long to put the pieces together.

About the only criticism that I would have is that the cable isn’t that long and so you will need some kind of socket or extension relatively close to this heater in order to use it.

  13. Anonymous says:

This is a decent patio heater, with a ridiculously short cable for some reason.

This was very easy to assemble, although you’re better off using your common sense than looking at the instructions which are dreadful. You just need to bolt the first pole onto the base, then 3 more on top of that, and then the heater itself.

Then you’re good to go, and it’s incredibly simple to operate, 1 pull on the toggle for 800W heat, a second pull for 2000W, and then a third for off.

This is the first patio heater I’ve had, and it is pretty stable, but it does concern me that it will fall over in higher winds, I guess it’s a trade off between portability, which this has, and being as sturdy as possible. This is very easy to move around.

What absolutely amazes me is how short the cord is, it only goes 3/4 of the way down the pole, which means you need to have an extension cord hanging in mid air. I just can’t understand it.

Something that it says in the booklet provided that I couldn’t find in the listing is that it can be used indoors, so mines going to live in the conservatory to make that usable in the winter, rather than risk it falling over outdoors, especially as it’s so easy to take outdoor if I need too.

It is very quiet and really warms up the space. We get together with our guest for lunch and eat on our patio. This weekend was cold so we used the heater to keep us warm. was surprised how well this heater works. It has allowed us to entertain outside on cold Covid nights. I am so glad we got it when they were still easy to come by. Worth the investment Very impressed.

This heater took a while to arrive and I was glad when it finally appeared. It comes in an unassembled state in a large box and needs assembly with a screw driver.
The instructions are not very clear so the build took over 30 minutes but no mistakes were made.
This heater is very large. It has a generously sized base that is sturdy enough to provide plenty of stability. There are 2 heat settings and both give a good amount of heat. It is set up to warm our garage for work outs and a few minutes is sufficient to take the chill off. We have also used it outside and it certainly helps keep you warmer in the cold. The height helps because the heat is above you and directed downwards.
Though it is waterproof, we do not plan to leave it outside. Not confident with an electrical product being left out in the elements, though a cover would be ok on it.
The only slight annoyance is that the power lead is quite short – it only reaches 2/3 down its height so any extension lead used must run upwards to meet the plug. Not sure if this is designed deliberately so that the plug doesn’t make contact with wet ground but it is a bit of a nuisance.
Plug aside, this is a sturdy heater that works well and is currently selling for a reasonable price.

The patio heater comes in quite a few pieces which need putting together. Was simple enough to do in about 15/20 minutes. Although we did have a few screws missing from the pack so needed to find some extras that would fit. Once put together it stands just over 2m in height. It seems quite lightweight, which is handy if you need to move it from one place to another, but definitely wouldn’t reccomend leaving it outside in windy weather, as it could quite easily get blown over. It has 2 heating settings. Pull the cord once for low power and pull again for higher power. It heats up pretty quickly, giving out an adequate amount of heat. The power cable is quite short, 1.6m, meaning you have to have an extension cable unless you’re really quite close to a plug socket. It does work well, getting warm quite quickly. Ideal for a small group, just would liked to have had a longer cable.

This is a generally good quality patio heater. I noticed a few minor issues when putting it together though. I had a slightly rusty screw as well as one that looked split/damaged (see my photos). Neither effected construction or more importantly use and safety.

The base is good and heavy though has some thin metal on the outside ridge which isn’t finger friendly if you are picking it up by that.

Build was easy and took about 20-30 minutes and you will need a Phillips screwdriver. The included instructions don’t tell you where to put the cable tidy brackets so I did end up with them not attached at the end of the build! I’d recommend making sure you put them on the 3rd and 4th tube as you build up.

The good news is the heat generated is great. There are two levels you can select from and it’s instant the moment you pull the pull cord. First level, the inner ring glows and second level heats up the outer ring as well. There’s the odd “ping” and “ting” as the outer metal head heats up and that gets very hot so don’t touch. The pole is fine though and there was no heat transfer to that. I did notice a faint burning smell on first firing it up but outdoors you wouldn’t have a problem and I’m sure this will disappear with use as it settles down.

My main problem with this patio heater is the plug cable length. The provided cable is way to short and doesn’t even reach ground level. You’ll need an extension cord or a wall socket mounted up high and close to where you want the heater placed. All that means is there’s less room for manoeuvre unless you use an extension cord and then you will have to worry about the waterproofing of that (which it probably won’t be), if using outdoors.

If you don’t want a gas heater and have suitably placed plug socket, this is a good heating solution. Also as it’s electric it means you can use it inside if desired (though it goes without saying that safety should be always considered). However for me it’s let down by that short plug length and I will have to use it with an extension cord making sure to wind that up and put it away when it rains.

Two Levels Of Heat Output & Generally Good Quality... But What Is That Short Cable Length All About?

There was a slight delay in the delivery of this product but it finally arrived. It is actually bigger in size than I expected. It requires some effort in building it up. It took us about an hour. It has a very heavy and large base which is great for stability. It is over 2m tall so can radiate heat over a large area. We have a hot tub (pandemic purchase!) set inside a large summer house. Even still though in the winter it gets a little cold In the room. This patio heater gives fast instant heat. There are 2 heat settings. The heater is fully water proof so no need to worry with it being close to the hot tub with water splashing about. It does not come with a protective cover but not an issue for us as it is kept under cover anyway.

Finally with this patio heater we get to enjoy our garden patio all year around rather than for just a few short months in summer. It is really sturdy and stylish and has two power settings. I usually start on the lower setting and then turn up later as the cold sets in. It also creates a light source which is handy and is quiet while running. A great product and I am really pleased with it.

This is a well-built and outstanding heater. It has a modern and elegant look and heats the room instantly. It came well packed to protect it from any transportation damage.
It was very easy to assemble. Each piece was well-made and looked durable. It fixed well with the other pieces.
Unlike the previous heaters that I have used, the base is strong. It makes the heater more stable and protects it from flipping or knocking over.
Another amazing feature is that it makes no noise. That’s what I always wanted.
The power cord is of a good and reasonable length.
    It is sturdy and flexible.
Furthermore, the heater comes with 2 different settings. 800W and 2000W. I usually have it on 800w.
The heat is comfortable and relaxing.
It is waterproof and dustproof. Therefore, it is ideal to place on my patio. Me and my partner enjoy the long winter nights comfortably with this amazing heater. I am always warm and cozy as soon as I turn it on.
I love the simple cord pulling design to turn the heater on and off. It gives a contemporary yet modern feel simultaneously.
    Overall, it’s a well-made and excellent heater.
    Recommended.

I ordered this heat lamp for my deck area as I still like to sit outside even though it’s colder now.

It’s very easy to assemble and has a good solid base so it’s not going to blow over in inclement weather.

However, it had a very short plug lead so I have to use an extension cable in order to use it.

The base of it is also huge and cumbersome so it cannot fit neatly behind/pushed under my patio table and has to be positioned behind a chair which is a little annoying.

It gives out plenty of heat if you’re sat directly underneath it and really does keep you toasty warm.

All in all, I definitely recommend for those chilly nights.

Very sturdy and easy to assemble

I have this set up on our top patio and it tends to get a lot of wind and rain up there, however after setting this up we placed it outside straight away right before a storm and it has not moved an inch.

The base on it is the vast majority of the weight that holds it down, so it sticks in place but best of all the water doesn’t affect it in any way. We had it plugged in for a good 6hrs outside while we enjoyed a winter BBQ a week ago and it kept us toasty and warm the whole evening.

They do use a decent amount of powers o if it’s on an extension lead, make sure it is fully extended so as to not overheat the cable, but other than that it does the job it needs to and really quickly.

I’ve also invested in a cover too just to be sure, although I’m not sure it’s necessary and you do need to wait for it to cool down before covering it just for safety.

For me there was a bit of a wait on delivery but it was worth the wait. We have made use of this lamp over this weekend as it has been pretty cold outside but we wanted to relax in the garden. The heater came dismantled in a large box, it was well protected and came with the instructions to put together. It was easy to install and we had no problems at all when building. All you need to do is put the steel pipes together with the screws. The length of cable is ok, I did need to use an extension lead to allow us to be further away from the plug so it would be good if it was a little longer but this is personal preference. The cable is secured to the side of the heater to ensure it is not in the way of the heat. The pull cord provides the on switch and allows for you to go through the heats as needed

The light itself has a good sized head that provides a nice amount of heat. Due to the design it fits nicely with our chairs without taking up too much room but this doesn’t effect the amount of heat you receive. The light gives of a warm orange glow which creates a lovely atmosphere. It heats up nice and quickly too which is a positive.

The waterproof aspect is good as it is protected from light rain however i did order a cover to protect against the elements when it is outside and not being used.

This is a high-quality, robust, patio heater. Unlike most heaters this is powered by electricity rather than gas. The downside of this is that you’ll need a suitable power socket to plug it in to and it might be more expensive to run. That said, gas cylinders are not cheap, especially when you buy the first one and have to pay for the physical cylinder as well as the gas, and it’s a bit of hassle getting the gas replenished. Furthermore, the cable with the heater is quite long so getting power to the heater probably will not be a problem.

The heater comes in a very large box and requires some self assembly. This is not helped by the awful instructions but once built the heater looks good and is robust. It also doesn’t take up too much space for out-of-season storage. The unit has a heavy circular base and despite its two-metre plus height is quite stable and should be able to survive summer storms. It is water resistant although I wouldn’t use it in wet weather or leave it outside over the winter.

In use the unit produces heat more or less instantly. It has two power levels selected by pull cable. The two halogen heaters project the heat effectively and the height of the unit means that the heated elements are above head height. There’s a pleasant warm white glow form the elements which provide a bit of lightening as well.

Overall I like this product, including its reasonable price. Limitations include the poor instructions and I guess the lack of more comprehensive weatherproofing – electricity and rain/water do not combine well!

In sum, a strong four stars.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersDONYER POWER Electric Garden Patio Heater

I don’t know if there was an issue with my order but this did take a couple of weeks for it to arrive, despite the listing stating this was in stock. But I received it eventually and I am overall quite happy with what I received, it does come in rather a large box but is well protected for shipping.

The heater is supplied in kit form so a certain amount of assembly is required, this I found to be quite simple and straight forward. Once assembled the heater stands 2.16 metres tall and 50cm across the base. I was pleased by how sturdy this feels once assembled, the base is very heavy so it’s quite stable when placed on a level surface, it’s unlikely to tip over if hit by a gust of wind. The cable length is 1.6 metres from the heater, this is clamped to the side of the heater to prevent it dangling. The heater unit itself houses 2 x halogen elements which when switched on provide an orange radiant heat. There is an esy to reach pull chord that will cycle through the power and heat settings. There are 2 heat settings available 800 watts and 2000 watts.

What I particularly like about this is that it is weatherproof, the heater is rated IP24 which means it’s ‘Protected from water spray from any direction’. Personally I wouldn’t chance leaving this in the garden open to all weathers, but it should be perfectly safe on a covered porch or patio. Or for occasional use in the garden. It should be fine during a light shower whilst having a barbecue but it is operated by electricity so I wouldn’t leave it out too long in a heavy downpour.

I do like the orange radiant heat from this, we placed the heater near our patio chairs, we had to move it further away as it was quite hot even on the 800 watt setting. It is lovely to have a bit of heat on those cool evenings.

I’m very pleased with this, instead of going into the house when the air begins to cool, we can now just switch on the heater then we are all roasty toasty.

Thank you for reading my review, I hope you have found it helpful.

The weighted base allows it to maintain its stability and heat up quickly. Pulling the switch once is low power, pulling the switch again is high power. The heating effect is good.
However, its cable is too short. I don’t want to use an extra socket to connect the plug of this heater, so I think the cable of this heater is too short.
It has 4 combined steel pipes in total. What I want is to assemble all 4 combined steel pipes. Because that height will be more secure. However, if I assemble them all, there will be a distance between my plug and the socket. But the height of the three-section steel pipe will make the height of the plug and socket just right.
It is of high quality and easy to assemble, just fix each section of steel pipe with screws. The heating is fast and the heating process is silent.

    Heavier base, faster heating

Fast delivery, good packaging, everything is packed very neat and practical. The heater is heavy, comfortable in shape and very stable. The power cord is conveniently long so that the heater can be installed anywhere. I placed the heater on the terrace on the ground floor, the heater fit well into the interior. I love that it is vertical and does not take up much space. It looks very nice and gives a sunset light effect, creating a cozy atmosphere in the room. Heats up quickly, economically compared to other heaters. I am pleased with its aesthetic appearance and heating functions.

Although the heaters do what they are meant to, they are labelled as IPX rated with no additional number and I am told shouldn’t really be used in a commercial setting particularly in this litigious world we all live in. The sellers and Amazon should make this absolutely clear in their advertisements when stating waterproof.
