I’ve had this around 2 years and it’s the best phone I’ve ever used.
I work doing outdoor activities so I’m often kayaking, hiking, swimming in the sea or biking. This phone stands up to all that. The rugged, waterproof casing shows virtually no marks and the screen has only a couple of light scratches – I never bothered with a screensaver. The wrist strap is handy for not dropping it off a cliff or into the sea.
I also have an open car with no roof or windscreen and it’s handy to use the S88 Pro on a mount for satnav etc.
The biggest plus is the battery life. No more worrying about running out of power. No more car chargers. You can run GPS, Bluetooth, music etc all day and it’s only going to use 25-30%.
Going away for a weekend? Don’t bother with a charger.
Downsides? Well, it’s massive and very heavy. I’d say after 30 months the battery perhaps doesn’t have the juice it did but it’s still impressive. I don’t like how the extra side buttons that can be set to do different things (like open the camera) cannot be turned off so you often accidentally open an app when you’re doing something else.
We have an S55 & an S59 in our household and they’re equally bomb proof so far.
I’ll hold on to this until Doogee have a similar phone that uses 5G.
Appears to be very robust but as a consequence it is really heavy and very thick , don’t drop it on you toe like I just did
My wifes new Doogee S88 Pro phone. That’s her in my pictures enjoying it and she thinks it’s her best yet.
Simple to set up. Connected seamlessly to our home WiFi network and net speeds are excellent. Updates were downloaded and installed in a couple of minutes. She uses the fingerprint feature to log in and it works every time.
The processing speeds are instant and the touch screen including the screen keyboard response times are immediate.
Image quality is very good. No lag, pixelation or freezing on any video clips. Plenty of space for installation of additional apps.
Battery charge seems to be slow draining so she’s happy with that.
As with all Rugged phones, this is well protected with the now obligatory phone casing which is exceptional quality, in my opinion.
As for value for money, I challenge anyone considering a new phone purchase to try it before splashing out loads more money for another with an equal spec.
Both my wife and I recommend this one.
Rugged and waterproof as stated, side fingerprint not much use though, face recognition ok but stick with p.i.n for security
Great phone, good price, I use it as a phone for my work as a courier,.can deliver 200+ parcels and still has 50% battery! Never managed to get it lower then 30%! In a day and that was constant use for like 17 hours! Had a doogee in the past which was a bit of a put off but couldn’t be happier with this 1 thanks
This phone is amazing.
Its a little heavy but you expect that from a rugged phone with a big battery.
Its quick, tough, loads of memory for apps and music, it does everything you want from a phone without compromise.
Usually rugged phones lack performance in some way but this one certainly doesnt.
The battery is very impressive.
I used to charge my phone daily but with this beauty its once every 3 days.
Camera is also awesome so a very big pat on the pack for Doogey from me
It’s worth noting the specs as they’re a BIG step-up from my last phone; 10,000mAh battery capacity, IP68 rating, Helio P70 CPU, 6GB RAM, 128GB ROM, 21MP + 8MP + 8MP AI triple rear cameras, 16MP front camera and the latest version of Android OS preinstalled.
It’s a little heavier than your typical smartphone due to the fact it’s a rugged phone and offers incredible levels of protection compared to your Samsung and iPhone’s.
At less than 250 this is a great deal, especially when you consider it’s 4 times cheaper than the newest smartphone from the more popular brands yet has the same features.
I was looking for a phone that would always be ready to work, regardless of whether it is flooded or buried underground, phone that I will not worry when is dropped accidentally. I use it in difficult conditions quite intensively, I browse the Internet, write e-mails etc. Never gets stuck or lagged, everything runs smoothly, the camera takes good photos, the battery is great last 5-6 days on single charge. You have to get used to the size and weight, which is why it is not a phone for everyone, but for a selected group of people

The phone battery life is fantastic. 40% after a long day using it for work.
I like the fact about rugged phones that them are well protected. First experienced them when had it for kids as other phones did not last them long.
Got this well advanced rugged phone as my work phone. Due to working with purchases as well I needed to have NFC function where I will be able to link my work payment card. This one has NFC function so was ideal.
It also has security protection which can be chosen fingerprint or face reconciliation. Due to some manual work and cuts or bit dirty finger wasn’t quite good option so personally choose face recognition which works spot on without any issues.
On back it has 3 different camera lens which include ultra wide angle lens as well.
As a battery capacity also quite advanced as it has wireless charge, fast charge and reverse charge option which phone can act as a battery bank and transfer charge to an other phone which has wireless charge option. Big battery capacity which last 3 days on normal use and over a month on stand by.
Overall brilliant well protected phone which equipped with latest technology.
The spec is good with a Helio P70 processor, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of Solid State storage. The read camera features a triple 21MP camera and the front camera is 16MP, meaning amazing quality pictures and excellent quality selfies.
The phone also benefits from dual sim card compatability meaning you can have two numbers on the same phone, or as a lot of my polish friends do, have their British number and Polish number on the same device to save carrying around two phones.
The phone isn’t overly heavy but it is designed to be used in a more hands on manner, the case provides a good degree of basic protections and the buttons are all strong and of good quality. The screen is respsonsive and the Android 10 operating system works well and without delay. Overall a great phone for the money.
