My mouth dropped when I saw the machine in in parts in the box. However, the assembly was straightforward enough as the parts are well machined. It took 45 minutes.

The machine is sturdy and works well. Rather heavy to move. The pulley works through a heavy tape connected to the magnetic drive. The display for time elapses, rows pulled and distance rowed is reasonably accurate.

The chief drawback is that there are 16 exercise levels, but none of them really challenging, even though I have only been rowing for 6 months. I am already on level 16 after three weeks of use.

A good buy if you only require light exercise.

I bought the machine for my grandson who is a rower and he is very pleased with it.

Easy to assemble although one of the pre assembled bits was the wrong way round – simple enough to rectify.
Am 6ft3 and 17stone and no issues with the machines size or performance

I wanted to get a little fitter than I was because I knew I’d lost a lot of strength and mobility over the pandemic lockdowns/restrictions and my job as a tour guide is quite surprisingly physical – BUT I have long-standing joint problems (old sporting injuries are catching up with me now I’m in my 60s). I did a bit of research and asked some knowledgeable friends and the answer was plainly an ergo/rowing machine. I only have a small home, and live alone, so I needed one that I could put together myself and which wouldn’t take up too much space.

After a huge amount of checking around, reading reviews, etc I decided on this one and I’m really pleased with it. Assembly was very straightforward (I’m female and 65, by the way). The main component is pretty heavy, naturally, but fortunately it’s all put together in such a way that you don’t really need to lift it much if at all.

It’s much more substantial and well-built that I was expecting for the price, the seat runs smoothly, the 16 different tension settings allow you to choose the level you want/need for what you’re trying to achieve and the whole mechanism is surprisingly quiet and it just makes a muted ‘whoosh-whoosh’ sound, so you won’t drive the neighbours mad. It doesn’t have many bells and whistles, but I didn’t want them anyway. The counter records distance, strokes, time … that sort of thing … which is all I needed.

I use it every day on one the middle settings, sometimes twice a day … it’s something you can do while you’re waiting for dinner to cook … and within a comparatively short space of time I began to notice a marked improvement in both my arm and leg strength and, most importantly, in my core strength. I was a little unsteady on things like step ladders, for instance, but I spent a good chunk of yesterday up a pair of steps installing heat and smoke alarms, and I had absolutely no problems balancing at all. I can’t attribute that to anything other than the rowing machine.

And the bonus is that it has castors on the heavy and can be tipped upright and stored in a fairly small space, so it can easily be moved out of the way and stored in a corner if I need the room for anything else.

For the price it’s quite remarkable and I unhesitatingly give it five stars across the board.

Bought for adult family of 4 – heights range from 5 foot 4 to 6 foot 2, heaviest is just under 17 stone.
Used in dining room, very quiet, cannot hear from next room even with door open! Stored up-right in corner, takes up barely any room, don’t really notice it’s there.
    5 stars all round

Very easy to build and store. Very comfortable seat and a smooth rowing action. Lockdown seems to sending the prices through the roof for these but I would definitely recommend getting one.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI was advised by my Physiotherapist to try a rowing machine to help with my Psoriatic arthritis and chronic pain. As you can imagine these long term conditions do not fit well with intense exercise. But my health professional was concerned about my lack of exercise that gets my heart working. I tried a number of exercise machines at the rehabilitation centre and the rowing machine fitted my needs best. This rowing machine arrives packaged well and needs assembly. It’s relatively easy to assemble in about 30 minutes. I need help to do this because I have arthritis in my hands. The first thing to note is the machine is of high quality and assembles well. It can also be stood upright for storage. I leave mine set up so it’s easy to just use it. The instructions are very clear and there is a brief guidance on use. There is a LCD display that shows various counts, kilometres, calories and total counts. There is a control knob to vary the pull and it goes up to a total of 16.

It’s a well made machine and works really well. It might not suit a seasoned rower but is idea for someone wanting to get fitter. The fact that I’m sat down greatly reduces the strain on my arthritic joints. The adjustment knob allows me to set it to my ability depending on how I’m feeling that day.

I knew I would be someone that wouldn’t attend a gym regularly do to my condition. The cost of the machine over a few months makes it a good investment over monthly gym fees.

I’m very pleased with the rowing machine and since using the machine have lost 5kg in weight. I was already following a healthy diet before I got the machine.

So I would recommend the rower and think it’s a superb machine to get fit on.

    Superb rowing machine.

Bought this rowing machine for home use as I have stopped going to the gym due to continued pandemic closure of gyms. Great machine and easy to assemble. A bit heavy box when it arrived and once the box is opened the packaging easy to remove and assemble the machine. Good instructions to follow. Good value for money as a home exercise machine and easy to store upright as well when not in use.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis rowing machine seems well constructed and the customer service from Dripex is excellent. It is not, at present, appropriate for users over 6ft tall as the slide has a limited run, although Dripex assures me that this is clearly indicated in their description. As with all models in this price range it does not allow a full forward reach at the catch and therefore is not appropriate for training as an oarsman on the water, but it is a good machine for those 6ft and below who wish to exercise their arms and legs.

Overall good product. Works as expected and provides good resistance at mid to higher levels. Works well for me and my wife (I am nearly 6 foot and my wife is just over 5 foot).

Had a couple of issues with wheels but seller dealt with these issues brilliantly – fast and polite response, and replacement wheel provided which has resolved the issue.

Would definitely look to purchase other products in this range in the future.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI’m a bit of a chunky lad so was looking for a machine with a good weight limit.
Found this one that was in my budget and with a 110kg max weight…. I’m just over at 112kg…. just tried it out and rather impressed with how solid the machine feels.
Build quality is good…. instructions are good too…. it doesn’t have 5 different sizes of screws and bolts to mix up and comes with tools.
It doesn’t fold but has wheels at the end to push around and designed to stand on its end.
For someone like myself who wants to get fit and work off some extra pounds i think this is a good machine and a good price too.

    Good solid sturdy.

Great machine. Now use it every day. Give you good work out for your legs and you arms. Also hopefully your mid region. Excellent and prompt customer service. There was an item broken in transit and it was immediately rectified and the replacement part arrived promptly. Thank you. Good value for money.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe item was well packed and even survived intact after being thrown around by the delivery guy. Straight out of the box, most of the components seem to be reasonable quality apart from the foot rests, which seem to be very “plasticky”. It was very easy to assemble – I think it took 30 mins from opening the box and this included the time spent figuring out the instructions, which contained a couple of errors. I haven’t used it properly in anger yet, so i cant really comment on the durability of the item, but i may post an update on this in a couple of months time.
