Dry:Soon Drying Pod Dries Clothes Quickly and Efficiently

Dry:Soon Drying Pod

Product number: 53211

Move over radiators and tumble dryers: the Dry:Soon Drying Pod’s in town, and it gets clothes dry so quickly, quietly and efficiently, there’ll be no more draping need-them-dry-now laundry over radiators ever again.

Fast, efficient clothes drying

We sold a version of this incredibly efficient electric clothes dryer a few years ago, and Lisa, our Home Buyer and in-house laundry expert, is delighted to bring back this updated version. Costing just 15p an hour to run, it works the same way, blowing hot air through clothes on hangers to dry them gently but oh-so quickly, but has been developed to make the job faster, quieter, and more efficient than ever.

A lot of hot air… but in a good way!

Getting your clothes dry much faster than most electric airers, and far more gentle on fabrics than the rough and tumble of a conventional tumble dryer, the pod has a fan built into the base that heats air up to 70°C and then blows it up into and dries your clothes. Perfect for shirts, blouses, linen clothes and delicate fabrics, but comfortably able to dry thicker fabrics like jumpers and denim too. When we put it through its paces we found that lightweight fabrics dry in less than an hour, while jeans took around 2 hours. And while you might think that such an efficient fan would be noisy, it runs quietly and discreetly at less than 52 decibels.

Dries up to 12 items at a time

Just pop your garments on hangers, hook them onto the rail at the top, fit the zip-fronted fabric cover around them, then switch it on. There’s room for a dozen hangers inside and, because your clothes hang straight down while they dry, they’ll have few creases and need very little, if any, ironing.

Good-looking, lightweight and easy to store

Most clothes airers are designed with utility rather than style in mind – but why shouldn’t you have both? The retro-styled, tripod design of this lightweight aluminium pod sets it apart from most airers, but it’s far from a triumph of style over content – those three legs keep it really stable, while helping to keep the weight down too, so it’s easier to move around.

Timer function with auto shut-off

The optional timer can be set for up to 3 hours, and will automatically switch the fan off when its time is up, freeing you up to get on with other tasks around the house – or even relaxing! And if you want to check on progress, you can just switch it on and leave it running until things have dried to your satisfaction.

Dry:Soon Heated Airers: a revolution in laundry

When we introduced our first heated tower airer in 2008 we knew it was a winner, but we weren’t prepared for just how quickly it would race to the top of the bestsellers’ list – or how long it would stay there. Since then we’ve not only developed our Standard range but also introduced a Deluxe range, a Drying Pod and in response to customer suggestions, added a selection of handy accessories to make them the best airers ever.

Versatile

In addition to the Drying Pod, we offer a wide range of designs and sizes with folding shelves that can be positioned to suit your needs: you can dry T-shirts, socks or larger items over the rungs; lay delicate clothes flat to avoid stretching, or hang sheets and big towels over the top without them touching the floor.

Convenient

Made from light yet robust aluminium, Dry:Soon airers are easy to move around and fold down for storage, ready to be pressed into action throughout the winter months, or whenever the weather isn’t cooperating.

I always had a tumble dryer, but this is so easy to use and store away keeping the house decluttered. Dries clothes in less than two hours, and that’s a full load

    Brilliant!
(I think it cost 21p per hour to run)

Bought this for my son’s Uni dorm room.
It’s a good size, he says it’s quite loud as its in a small quiet room (like a constant hum) so studying when machine is in the same room he actually could be distracted. But in the everyday living space or living room it wouldn’t distract TV watchers too much, and for more busy spaces the motor isn’t to loud.

The heat is really warm and it’s just brilliant. We think it’s a great idea, though the legs don’t lock into place like you would expect.

I kicked a leg by accident because it was sticking out and it toppled, I had to hold it up (it is extremely light so no problem) I just needed to slide the leg back into place and it was standing perfectly again.

The legs ‘fix’ into place kind of unevenly sometimes but it doesn’t fall or stop it from working.

For 89.99, it is extremely flimsy but it does actually work!

It took about an hour to dry a few vests and a pair of jeans and jogging bottoms and then hung the trousers and jeans upside down for a further 20 minutes (to dry the hem/ankles) and they were done!

I have the Dry:Soon airer which I have had 5years and love especially in the winter months. I had been using a Lakeland Hangeraway for tops etc which worked but it isn’t heated so after some consideration decided to get this! It’s brilliant. It’s blows heated air into the pod (only will work if the cover is on). Mechanical dial goes up to 180mins. Only draw back is that the dial is at the bottom and it’s not lighted so need light if turning on in the dark. It’s cut down on the amount of ironing I need to do which is a bonus as I really hate ironing! I ordered through Amazon instead of Lakeland website as it was Prime delivery! Well worth it!

I used to work with a woman called Lisa C-S and she was full of hot air, so it seemed like a very apt name, the only problem is that my Lisa is very proficient and is exceptionally good at her job where as Lisa C-S was not.

With having 2 teenagers, my laundry baskets are always full. I have been struggling to dry the clothes, without unsightly airers, overloaded radiators & the electricity bills climbing.
So I invested in this Dry Pod. It’s great!!!!
Quick to set up, Cheap to run & dries clothes quickly. It’s used on a daily basis, and I regret not buying one earlier.

I thought it would be easier to assemble and put away but it’s not. The legs are a bit wobbly. But it does work well and it’s cheap to use. I don’t like leaving it up but it’s a pain putting it together when you want to use i

Was a little apprehensive how good this would be …sometimes have to put tops back in to dry arm areas and don’t overload, I do 1 wash at a time, but has definitely helped with drying laundry in these cold months and much cheaper than a tumble dryer. Would definitely recommend.
