I like how it Heats & toasts quickly. Croissants balanced on top & set to about 2 works very well. Bagel toasting setting toasts on one side only. Easy to clean.
Not the cheapest, but well worth paying for it. I bought it because it was recommended by Which?

My previous toaster was a bosch and the features were probably better than the dualit, it lasted me 8 years and only died because my granddaughter set it a light.
This is the first Dualit item I have bought and it works fine but nothing special. It is lightweight and doesn’t feel too sturdy. Yet to find a toaster that toasts evenly and this is no different. I like that you can see how the bread is toasting without popping it up. Quite happy with it but I wouldn’t pay full price.
excellent toaster we mainly use same loaf type bread so once i set my browning preference up it’s perfect toast time after time it seems a well made unit looks nice and being able to lift the bread to check when toasting for others without it switching off is a boon it’s still early days as yet but so far well pleased with it
just hope it lasts as long as our last dualit did

Dislikes (minor): the rotary knob to setting the browning level feels a little cheap, it can be knocked off its setting easily; the toaster did not come with a browning/toasting rack (which allows you to brown buns on top of the toaster) – our solution was to use the old one from our previous Dualit.
Having had several weeks of uneven toast, the old toaster went out the window, literally. I decided on a Dualit 2 slice lite as I trust the brand having had Dualit products throughout my life ( though not the previous toaster).
The toaster arrived next day, simply but effectively packaged and was duly unboxed and plugged in.
We toasted 6 slices of thick farmhouse bread which were all, evenly, a golden brown just with the default setting. These first ones fed the birds in the garden, but the following ones fed me, and I was happy. Instead of white and dark brown colours (on the same side of the toast) with a chewy consistency, they were pleasantly crisp, warm and even. Success! Happiness!
My partner is chuffed as well, her crumpets and potato scones come out perfect.
The finish of this toaster is excellent, and it’s a solid build as you expect from Dualit, is easily cleaned, and toasts very quickly- a real bonus.

Bought this as a replacement for a more expensive one from a different company that had lasted 7 years so no complaints with its life but this one is much better. It toasts more evenly than our old one and much quicker. The colour blends nicely with our kitchen dcor. My only minor disappointment is that you have no indication of how near to the end of the toasting cycle it is.

I liked the button for toasting bagels but it seemed hard to get it to toast evenly both sides when that’s off. Well built but some models from this manufacturer may be better at odd shaped and larger slices.

This is the Which? Best Buy toaster. It’s excellent. I toast massive slices of the bread I make (tall and thick, and cooked from frozen. A bit disappointed with the grey; it’s lighter than I expected, but a minor issue.
Toaster Shopping isn’t an exciting task, but the time comes when your (random generic brand) trusty toaster finally decides to call it a day after 5 years of service. Not ideal!
Some friends recommended this would be the perfect opportunity to invest in a Dualit Toaster.
I’d never considered it before but I suddenly came across a wealth of positive reviews regarding the build, ease of repair and the overall amazing reputation of the brand. I’m happy to say that these reviewers weren’t wrong!
It is extremely easy to use, satisfyingly light weight whilst not feeling flimsy, and most importantly – it makes really good toast! I’m very appreciative of the large slots to accommodate for slightly larger slices of bread, and the fact that it covers the entire slice(s) of bread (our previous toaster always left one side of the crust slightly uncooked).
Honestly, I know that you, like me, will look at the price tag and second think it. But, I would much rather purchase something that will last and do the job it was intended to do. It looks great too!

So far so good. Evenly toasts the bread. Nice wide slits which helps to toast thicker bread. It could be a little deeper for bigger slices. I like the bagal setting; also good for toasting buns for burgers.
Overall we use our toaster more than we ever did with our standard toaster, so quite happy with purchase.

Only had it for 2weeks like the style of the toaster got it a bit cheaper looks brand new despite the box not being sealed and a bit of packaging missing hope it last as long as a Bosch toaster which lasted 5years

I am very pleased with this toaster. This replaced my very old toaster that I realise now hasn’t been very effective at toasting. I consulted Which before buying this and it hasn’t disappointed. Easy to use, good at toasting.
I mean we’re not talking about a Hi-Tec gadget, it’s just a toaster and as such it does a good job toasting so far. Evenly golden bread and pretty quick if you don’t like hanging around waiting for your toast to pop.

+ I bought this along with the compact Kettle which matches and it looks lovely in my kitchen, both stylish, classic ,so I can take them anywhere if I move as I rent and would probably go with anything. As with all appliances these days with the brand I though it would feel slightly more quality and heavier but it’s quite light, but is a quality item. The most important thing is it accommodates bagels etc. well, and toast very well and evenly no soggy parts just lovely golden toast.

The Dualit 2 slice Lite is a great little toaster! I love everything about it. It has style and presence with its chrome and glossy black exterior and it makes toast just how I like it – an even all over golden.just. No heavy dark brown for me thanks.
So easy to use..there is a frozen button which I don’t use as I always cook toast from frozen anyway.
One top thing I am happy with is that when the toast is ejected – the toaster itself switches off!
Plus a very good booklet comes with it. Not a pamphlet or square of paper with unidentifiable pictures and print that hurts the eyes. No, a comprehensive booklet!

Can’t comment on how well it’ll last but it looks good, works well and I like the bagel toasting feature.
The cream toaster looks great in our kitchen. No one puts their toaster away after use, so worth having an attractive one. Dualit is reliably functional and stylish.
This is a great little toaster. It is well made, compact and has a quality feel to it.
No frills or gadgets to go wrong, and I’m lead to believe the spares are readily available and it is easy to fix.
It has enough power to toast quickly.
The 1% that stops it being perfect is the slot it’s about 3mm too short for usual loaf, so I have to trim that before it fits.
Otherwise it is perfect.
Set the timer – make your toast – why does it seem so difficult? Finally, this toaster provides consistent performance – something you would think would be easily achieved and yet so many toasters give inexplicably unpredictable results. Also, it will take full-sized slices of bread – all at once, without having to turn the slice around to get full coverage – this seems such an uncommon feature. Easy to set up and easy to clean. Well worth the little extra.

We were dubious about buying this because of the price. We needn’t have been. Makes good toast and keeps crisper than most. Love the feature that allows you to check the colour of the toast. Got this for our caravan and now considering the 4 slice version for home.
It dropped a star by being 1cm too small to fit Warburton slice bread without squashing – Why . Other than that very satisfied. You do need to clear regularly particularly after toasting teacakes. A current came free and stuck on the element and tripped the circuit.

It works well and toasts evenly. The high lift, and the ‘lift while toasting’ features are really appreciated (only had a few weeks, but no reason to believe it won’t last – bought two!)
This toaster is recommended by Which? and it is a very good device. It is not as fast as the supermarket budget model I was using before but the toast is much better, evenly browned, crisp outside and soft inside. The special features (beigel setting and pop up and peep) work very well but I haven’t had occasion to use the defrost function yet. The only slight issue I have is that the temperature selector seems a little flimsy and not fitted as tightly as I’d expected. Contrary to what is said in the Which? review I haven’t found it difficult to clean. I’d recommend this product and say it is worth paying the extra (compared to budget models).
