Very economical. Controls are very easy to follow and cleaning so quick.

Sadly my 9 year old dualit mini oven failed on its thermostat so ordered a new one and one for my mum , crazy Betty 83 years old who cannot open the big oven anymore it’s a star to be sure

It’s took me a little while to post this review, because i wanted to make sure of what I wanted to say after putting through a workout. The delivery was quicker than expected, and the over is great. Looks good and it’s so much quicker than your main oven. Get one of these you won’t be disappointed.
Definitely one of my best buys! I have not used my main oven since I bought this Dualit mini. Very easy to use and minimum cleaning necessary. Highly recommended.

Heats up in a couple of mins
One thing, I cook crumble and buns etc… in here. And need an improvised heat shield on top of the items being cooked. I use a cake tin bottom insert and just make sure it will sit on the rim and cover whatever is in.
had to use none slip matting! very lightweight but all other features are brilliant!!
We researched small ovens before we decided on this oven and we have not been disappointed. It is very easy to use and looks stylish in our kitchen. It does get hot on the outer casing ( but according to other oven reviews, this is the case for small freestanding ovens) but it is not too hot…the best thing about this is that the oven top makes a great plate warmer. We bought this to use as an oven for warming meals or producing meals for two – the idea being to save energy by not using the large kitchen oven. This has worked well for us and is also useful as a second oven when we have a large family event.
We are pleased that we made the decision to buy this oven.
I have been using this oven for several months and I am very pleased with it. For someone on their own it saves heating up a big oven and I cook roasts etc very successfully.
This is the second Dualit mini oven I have had….just replaced it after many years of constant use….would highly recommend it to anyone..

I have a massive gas cooker too but as there is just two of us I tend to use these all the time instead, it’s amazing how quickly they heat up! I think every house should have one! Hopefully as they are small they use less electricity too! The timer is very useful as it switches off its self. Great product!
This was bought as a gift but we have had one ourselves for quite some time and we like it very much. We haven’t used our main oven since last christmas as there are only two of us and the small one is perfect for us. Although there is no real seal round the door we find the recommended temperature and cooking times for products work fine. It is a little awkward to clean as the elements get in the way a bit, but when ours breaks we will certainly buy another, we have had other ones which were nowhere near as good.
Nice little oven, cooks well but seems slightly cooler than temperature gauge setting so allow a little extra cooking time. Temperature gauge is rather vague, it has a 180C setting but no 200C the next being 230C. Top of oven gets very hot so good for plate warming but plates will scratch the shiny steel finish. The door on my oven didn’t fit flush with the body on one side but doesn’t seem to effect performance. Fan oven works very well, in fact its the only setting I have used so I can’t comment on grilling. The timer is only in 30 minute increments so pretty useless if you need to time something accurately in-between. Overall though, very pleased and helped us out greatly whilst our kitchen was being done.

Like the product very much. Would have been nice to know that it is not suitable to fit under a cupboard. Had to change my plans and it is now in the utility room.
We have a gas cooker but found the oven not as good as we expected so decided to buy a small electric worktop oven. This little oven is perfect. It heats up quickly and the results are so much better than those from the gas oven. It is not a large oven so probably would not suit a cooking/heating for a large family but it ideal for us.
When you get older or disabled it is the finest thing you could wish for as it is so easy to use and I would tell anyone out there to try it and see how efficient it is.

I have had this for six months or so now. I wanted something quicker and more convenient than my full-size oven which takes a long time to heat up. I have previously had cheap compact ovens but these had all-or-nothing temperature settings and weren’t even as big as this is. This, however, is big enough for one person, heats up in a jiffy, cooks evenly and looks good into the bargain – the timeless Dualit style looks good in any kitchen. On the expensive side but I can’t fault the quality; the whole thing has a solid, well-built feel to it and should last years. The markings on the dials aren’t very big and there are no minute or even five-minute gradations on the timer. Recommended.
Pleasure to use a good functional table top oven – good grill facility as well as the oven.
Pros
It’s exceeded our expectations; It heats up quite rapidly; it has a tiny footprint; easy to use controls; useful timer; choice of heat settings.
Cons
The outer-wall isn’t insulated, so it’s warm, but not too hot to touch.
Subsequently, we changed our order from a double to a smaller single oven and have continued using it for quickly cooking or reheating small items. It’s especially useful for quickly heating food such as bread and pastries that’s usually ruined by a microwave.
Other than that it works well. Heats up quickly and cooks evenly. Need to be a bit vigilant to start as some things cook faster than expected, but once you have got the hang it is great.
My main oven takes an age to reach temperature and normally takes more time than any stated time to cook something.
The acid test for this dualit oven was a humble frozen pie – if the oven didn’t do as it was meant to, it was goig back.
Oven preheated as instructed at the required temperature (it took about 4 minutes), pie in for 30 minutes. I could tell by the colour and smell that it was cooked spot on – no skewering to check the centre was hot – jod done 🙂
Yes the controls seem a bit basic, but this is good, simple, reliable british design. It doesn’t take much to get used to the relatively uncalibrated thermostat and timer. The oven size isn’t huge but it will fit a medium chicken and cook it perfectly.

The temperature was found to be not very accurate and we have to have a small temp gauge hanging off shelf on a wire to check.
In this day and age I would think that we should be keeping the heat in the oven, rather than letting it escape to the room ( or as the manufacturer
puts it plate warming???)
Not as good as our old Delonghi fan mini oven. I thought as this was a British made product it would be better.
All as expected, heats up quickly. Top gets v warm careful not to leave plastic items on it. Good quality ideal as second or back up oven.
The dualit is very useful and I find almost everything has been well thought out however my previous worktop cooker had a light inside almost essential which was very useful to keep an eye on the cooking, it only remained on for a short periods of time. Also the grilling pan would be better if it were slightly bigger and could used as a roasting pan it could then be slotted into each level.
Very Happy with this purchase and have used the oven daily. We have cooked several different dinners and are delighted with the results. The different features, for example letting you know when it has reached the desired temperature, is very helpful. The Questions and Answers comments provided were also very helpful.
lovely and very handy and convenient little oven to have, in polished stainless steel. bought in an emergency as my regular oven died two days before Christmas eve and was impressed with it. comes with one wire rack, a grill pan with handle and a non stick round pizza tray. the only downside was that it doesn’t have digital timing, otherwise easy to clean and looks lovely in your kitchen. great for cooking pies, pizza, those tv dinners and other snack foods that need heating up. arrived on time and you get what you pay for. good value for money on this item.

It would have been nice with an internal light and when you are my age the symbols on the setting switch are too small
That being said I am very pleased with it as it cooks very well and much quicker than my large oven thereby saving electricity

The oven is excellent, does everything it should perfectly.
I would have given it 5 stars, but it comes with such a poor quality grill pan which will probably rust out within the year.
We previously had the same oven a few years ago and when the grill pan rusted away, Dualit wanted to charge 19 for a replacement. We thought they may have upgraded it by now, but not.
have just got this a short time and so far i find it a bit slower than my last small oven.
there was LOTS OF SMOKE when first put on but they do warn you about this so dont panic.
Ideal for my elderly parents to use instead of large oven – its simple to operate and adequate in size for small meals for two people. Only improvement it could do with is an interior light to help poor sighted users.
I bought this for my friend who is 81. She wanted a table top oven so that she would not have to bend down to take things out of the oven or to clean it.
She is really happy with it. It is easy to use and very efficient.
Warming your plates on top is useful.
It heats to the required temperature in minutes. The rear wall is concave, so you can get round roasting trays etc in there. I’ve made crumbles, roasted meat – all have turned out perfectly.
Every home should have one – but certainly every 1 or 2-person household!!
It cooks perfectly and so much quicker than a general oven because the time taken to get to the correct heat is less than a half.
It looks very smart on my kitchen surface too.
Sure you can buy something similar for a lot less money and, to be honest, it would probably do the job every bit as well, but would it last?
Ours is on display in our kitchen, it in not simply functional but enhances the look of our kitchen when placed amongst our other stainless steel appliances.
My one complaint would be the accessories, they are non stick coated, alas the coating is quite thin and whilst initially aesthetically pleasing they are functionally practically useless the coating wearing off after only a couple of wipes with a green pad!
It comes with only one shelf, however due to the shortage of internal height this is probably just as well. We are a couple living on our own with no kids and a wonky main oven which takes nearly 40 minutes to pre heat, which for a couple of pies costs more than the product.
I have worked out that this oven will pay for itself in 13 months, as the thing is guaranteed for twelve I thought it worth the punt – did I mention it looks super cool in our kitchen?
