It’s a very good shredde
I wizzed through shredding the old paper work I needed to safely dispose of. When I read reviews on this a person kindly gave a tip of putting a bin liner in the waste compartment and that really works a treat.
good shredder.
We bought this shedder when our old one failed and it seems to fit the bill. It shreds the paper into very small pieces, it is very quiet when shredding and I am hoping it is value for money, time will tell.
Good sturdy portable
This shredder replaces a previous one which has stopped working after only one year. This seems more robust even though it is still light weight enough to move around my house

Just the job
I bought this shredder as my last one broke (possibly helped along by me overloading it).
I’m very happy with this one so far, and am treating it much better. It takes a few papers together, though I rarely do 8 at a time like it says it can do, because so I don’t want to tempt fate. I love the fact that it turns the paper into confetti size pieces which makes it very secure. Easy to empty, easy to run, and it actually works longer than it says it does before needing a rest.
I love the casters. Makes storing and getting it out so much easier. I just wheel it to the nearest plug, whereas before with my old one I had to lug it from under my desk and lift it to where the plug was.
I’m very pleased with my purchase so far, and I’m sure I will continue to be.

This shredder is so easy to use. The container pulls out from the front for emptying so there’s no heaving the shredding unit off the top which means no bits of shredded paper from the blades falling all over the place. It’s also on wheels so can be moved about with no lifting required. It’s not dead fast and there’s a longish wait between shredding sessions but it’s only for domestic use so that’s no problem.

This is more like it!!
I had used a Fellowes M8C shredder for a number of years. It worked very well until after a long shredding run my wife accidentally put a plastic sheet through it. The sheet melted onto the cutters and…. end of story. Having been very happy with it, I bought another M8C (as a motor racing fan I’d always been attracted by the model number – McLaren Can Am fans from years ago will understand!). The darned thing jammed almost immediately and the reverse function only made it worse. I sent it back and (stupidly) ordered a replacement. That did exactly the same thing. Despite using oil sheets, the shredder jammed very quickly and basically locked the cutters if you were daft enough to use the reverse function. What Fellowes have done to the quality of the M8C I don’t understand but they have turned a very good shredder into something which it completely unfit for purpose. I’d had enough and having several of Duronic’s superb electric room heaters, took the plunge on the PS410. What a difference! Light but powerful and very quiet. It has wheels so is easily manoevrable and the absolute joy of a pull out bin meaning that you don’t end up with little bits of paper all over the carpet when you empty it. It’s only had very light use so far but I’m really very impressed. Microcut too, which is all the better. So far – very good!
A really good shredde
I’ve only had a short while but I am extremely impressed. It’s quieter than the shredders I’ve had before and does it’s job efficiently. It also has a long period to shred so I always get all my shredding done at one time. It tells you if you overload it or it’s getting hot.
Excellent shredder by far with a big capacity so I recommend this shredder.

Great home shredder, impressed its even got castors! Love the basket (14L) not too big or small, tucks nicely under my desk and it chops paper into tiny squares. Would highly recommend
Crosscut shredde
Has worked well so far. Cuts paper up fine but only wrks for about 20 mins constant use before cutting out because it gets too hot. It is a bit unbalanced on its wheels but it is on carpet in our office. Does a good job as long as you don’t want to do lots of shredding often.
Great shredder but at that price needs longer lead
Easy to use, easy to move around on its castors but shouldn’t have to use an extension cable-should have had a longer lead, at that price.

Doesn't Jam and Handles Multiple Sheets
When I bought this product I had a wardrobe full of old bank statements, receipts etc. etc. I’m talking about a lot of paper that needed shredding. Around 10 bin bags later all gone and not one jam. It handled the load really well, I shredded for about an hour at a time to allow cool down although I think it would have carried on for more. I also ordered one of these for my mom who was sick of having substandard shredders that didn’t really do the job.
So yes, it’s probably more than you wanted to pay, I know that was the case for me, but well worth it. For a quality product that can handle the load it’s absolutely spot on.
Reverse the motor every so often. This is important.
It’s got it’s limitations. But it’s fine provided you keep to 4 or 5 sheets, AND reverse the motor every so often if you have lots of shredding to do. Shredding is the best I’ve seen. No chance of reading.
The wheels are very helpful within the home, or office. Good size without being too big.

This is a quality light weight shredder for the home. Compared to other brands I’ve had this is very quiet and efficient I consider this one really good value

The only thing to bear in mind is the continuous runtime of 3 mins before needing to cool down for 30 mins, which is a bit less then some others.

Great quiet shredder for home use
I bought it to replace my old cheap shredder that finally broke. What a difference! It is quiet, much faster and micro shreds, easily movable (on caster legs) and empties from the front instead of the top which definitely causes less mess. Definitely recommended for a home use – very happy customer!

Very good value
My only complaint is that the unit is a little top heavy so it tips over a little easily when being moved, but to be fair this is just a minor thing

Shreds quite finely
Did a lot of shredding in a busy office. Perhaps we should have bought a more expensive one, but last time we did it broke fairly early after the guarantee. This was cheap and gave 2 years use before it gave up with grinding noises as it self destructed. Would be fine for home use, but clearly overworked in our office!
Well made and sturdy
This is a real quality product. The micro cut is amazing. You could even use the shredded pieces as confetti or for packaging gifts. I have shredded a credit card with no problems.

Great for domestic use
Just works for three minutes of every half hour (needs to cool down). This is fine for domestic use for me. Shreds well. Neat and manoeuvrable.
Perfect for the job
I had a significant amount of confidential material to dispose of and my shredder made an excellent job of it. So that I was able to dispose of it in my garden compost bin.

Very quiet when shredding, convenience of being on wheels and easy emptying. Only downside is only 3 minutes run time and 30 minute rest time.

The box came a bit damaged but there was another undamaged box inside the damaged one so the shredder was perfectly fine; that’s more of an issue with Amazon delivery. The shredder was easy to fit (just had to pop the 4 wheels in). It’s a fair size and can fit 60-100 pages shredded before you need to empty it. I was a little disappointed when i saw one small shredded piece of paper inside the bin as this means I was sent a shredder which had already been used by someone else and returned. However, everything is working fine, no damage, no issues at all so I’ve kept it. (we have all returned stuff before which would be passed to other!). The microshredding is great and gives you that extra peace of mind. The wheels means it’s easy to manoeuvre and stow away, and you can remove the wheels if you want to place it on a table. It shreds cards as described, and I also tried to keep it running for longer than 3 min and I had no issues. I also tried more than 8 papers and it still worked fine (although I would advise to follow the given instructions). Overall, it does exactly what it says and I’m very happy!
Very pleased I chose this shredde
The results are very good – you can be confident that personal/sensitive data will be finely shredded and impossible to reconstruct. What is also good is that the bin is easy to remove, that it operates quietly and that the unit is manoueverable. A tip I would give is to line the bin with something such as a paper sack which can be lifted out as this makes emptying even simpler.

I’ve been suffering with a rubbish 30 Tesco shredder for years, which would always jam up and overheat after putting more than 2 sheets through it in a single sitting. I was spending more time unclogging the thing than shredding.
Not only does this thing chew through paper like the cookie monster, it’s surprisingly quiet and the paper is shredded so thin – it’s excellent. The enclosed bin is very welcome as it stops chalky paper dust from floating around the room as well (something the metal net basket of my old shredder was useless at preventing).
Really glad I spent the extra for this.

Quiet and super efficie
My last shredder could have probably been considered a little bigger than a desk shredder. It was very noisy and prone to overheating. I had to feed the paper sheets individually which was a frustration.
In contrast, this is outstanding. It takes up to 18 sheets of A4 in one go and processes these much faster and with less noise. The large bin means I can put a bin liner in there, shred away and simply pull out the drawer when done, remove the bag and dispose of it.
I should have bought one of these years ago.

Quiet and efficie
Much quieter than my previous shredder. Wheels make it maneuverable. The container fills up surprisingly quickly because the shredded paper is ‘scrunched up’ during cutting. The main negative is that the on-off switch is difficult to reach at the back of the unit when tucked under a desk or positioned against a wall. It would be very difficult to layout the shredded pieces in a manner that would allow the contents to be read and therefore the shredder is excellent at carrying out its prime function. I would buy the same model again if I was starting the buying process again. Recommended

What I like about it is it’s quietness and the impression that it’s up to the job. It works very efficiently and cuts paper into very small pieces so it’s very suitable for shredding sensitive documents such as old bank statements etc. It is heavy but this adds to it’s robustness. Unlike other shredders I have had you don’t lift the shredder unit out to empty it. The bin pulls and slides out from the front. The only drawback is that if you let it overfill you end up with the shreddings all over the floor! The way round this is to put a bag inside the bin and empty it fairly frequently and this saves a lot of mess.

This shredder is far superior to any shredder I have used before. It’s quiet and easy to use. Emptying us a dream as you just pour the paper out and into your green bin! Yes it is more expensive but well worth it as it is so much more efficient and not as deafening as other heavier shredders that have come into our house!
