How does the assistance function (Power-Assist) work?

If you cut a thick branch the electronic motor activates; called Power-Assist Technology. The motor starts pulling the upper and lower handles towards each other, assisting the cut. If you stop, it turns off again. You have full control at all times.

What would happen if the blade becomes worn?

Unlike most manual bypass secateurs the upper blade can easily be removed and replaced. Simply use a hexagon socket spanner to unscrew the old blade, take it out, put a new blade in and retighten the bolt. Done!

What are the blades made of?

The blades are made from premium quality stainless steel.

Can you use it with your left hand?

Yes the EasyPrune is designed for comfortable use with the left or right hand.

I love this product. I’m 80 with weakening hands. These secateurs enable me to prune shrubs which I wouldn’t normally be able to do. One charge lasts a long time.I don’t know how long they will remain sharp? Wish I’d bought them years ago.
    Highly recommend

Works really well and saves me pain in thumb that I was getting with traditional secateurs.

I purchased these for a family member with RSI who loves to garden but is in pain using regular secateurs. These are great and solve the problem.

It was good value for money and easier than the manual ones must remember not to use to thicker branches or twigs

A bit pricey. Handles are too far apart to operate with comfort.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersA must for anyone with arthritis, I bought this to help with trimming Buddleias as some of the stems are quite thick, the bush was very quickly dealt with far faster than ordinary secateurs.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWasn’t too sure about these but decided to take the risk and give them a go. The handles themselves are quite large but were fine for me. Started using them on a big tidy up mission, you use them like any normal pair of secateurs the only exception is if while you’re cutting a branch you start to struggle, the motor kicks in and assists you, they were absolutely brilliant, cleared the whole huge pile and didn’t feel any fatigue. Would recommend to anyone!

Not ideal for very small hands but for average or larger size hands they are great. the powered assist only comes in when needed so they last a long time for pruning. Value for money

Takes all the work out of cutting shrubbery. No more sore hands and fingers.

These secateurs were bought for my mother who has problems with her fingers. She says they are excellent and hardly any pressure is needed to cut through larger twigs – ideal for anyone who is suffering from arthritis

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThese secateurs are brilliant – they are quite large to incorporate the battery and motor so people with smaller hands might struggle…. but once you get used to the way they work, they help a lot in cutting through items like a knife through butter.

The important thing to realise is that they are “power assisted” the “assisted” bit implies that it doesn’t do ALL the work for you, but it assists in providing extra power. In otherwords, when you start chopping, it’s important to still apply pressure on the handles for the motor todo it’s thing, if you let go when they start making noises then it will back off and wont cut anything.

If the branch is too thick then it will reverse the motor that you feel by it pushing back against your grip and the LED light will flash red. Sometimes bigger branches might require several attempts. The first battery charge seemed to take forever but it does hold its charge for a very long time.

My hands aren’t very strong, so It’s really satisfying to cut through branches that are beyond my usual limit.

So easy to use. Anything that helps my independence is welcomed.
I am able to prune whatever and whenever. My hands are weak, swollen and very painful. Great purchase. My friend and I have bought them between us

Bought these for my mum who loves gardening but was struggling with arthritic hands. She is a small woman and thinks these pruners are wonderful. They are not heavy and they are very easy to use. She has been telling all her friends what a wonderful son I am for getting such a great gift for her birthday, lol. 🙂

Works as normal secateurs on thin twigs, power cuts medium twigs but only cuts halfway through thick ones, requiring 2 cuts. Charges quite quickly.

I went for these because they ate lighter than fully electric ones. I live them but my arthritic hands wish they didn’t have to press quite so hard for them to kick in. Better when the hand i use is gloveless

I have a number of Bosch power and garden tools which have lasted for years. Having lost some of my hand grip strength due to a minor operation, I was struggling with traditional hand secateurs.

This power assisted Bosch model takes all the the frustration away because all you need is a light hand grip pressure to start the secateurs cutting into the branch. I pruned a 30 year old variegated Canadian Maple leaf tree in 90minutes. It use to take me around 2 and half hours! One charge is good for around 340 cuts up to one inch or 25mm branch diameter.

Job done with less hand pain. Wonderful! I paid for these secateurs out of my own money.

The pruners are quite large and heavier than a standard set of pruners, and I was concerned that they would be to big to hold. How wrong could I have been ! They operate with the slightest of pressure which takes all the strain out of trimming rose and shrub stems. Great product!

A little awkward to use as they are large and you need a reasonable grip to operate . They are power assisted secateurs and do not remove the need for manual effort. The power cuts in and they are effective but I would have expected more assistance.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersYou could be a forgiven a first impression that these secateurs are too big, heavy etc. but using them tells you different. Hold them correctly with the curve at the top end of the grip in the ‘V’ between your thumb and index finger and voila! the weight is counter-balanced, the grip is comfy and only slight pressure is required to operate the secateurs.

I have fairly small hands and compromised grip. These secateurs are, for me, so much easier to use than normal ones. The power-assistance kicks in before you even realise you need it.

Usual great Bosch quality is apparent here. The charge lasts for ages and I use them all the time now. I do recommend using a lubricant spray on the blades to keep them in good condition. I use the Bosch garden spray which I also use for my hedgetrimmer and other garden tools.

I wish I had known about these sooner. My regular secateurs haven’t had a look in since I got these.

Well made easily used Secateurs which ‘cut in’ to give you extra power assistance when it senses a need.(When large or harder cuts are needed). Heavier than manual versions obviously but if you adapt your style to work with them they are fine. I am surprised when people say they buy them for their wives/partner etc who have arthritis and find they have been disappointed. My wife uses them and finds them beneficial because they (and the previous model we had) help that condition as they allow her to do things she otherwise would never be able to do with manual ones.
They sit nicely supported in the recess of the hand between Thumb and Forefinger leaving the three other fingers to apply pressure to the oving handle. Power is strong and don’t take liberties as you’ii lose a finger. I bought this to replace the Bosch Ciso cutters I’d used forthe last twelve years. I would expect these to last as long.

This helps with hand strain when doing a lot of pruning. Thin sprigs cut just like any other cutters; but for slightly thicker sprigs the device senses that the jaws are trying to cut and a motor kicks in and pulls the handles together to help you with the cut. Easy to operate and charge, the device seems to be able to cut a lot before the battery runs low.

basically I think as long as you appreciate these aren’t going to chop a tree down for you they’re absolutely brilliant. The best part being they’re completely automatic whether they kick in or not so basically it’s just like a helping hand.

My mum has arthritis so I took a gamble with these, due to mixed reviews. She loves them & can now do a job in 15 mins that used to take her several days due to pain in her hands. Take a little bit of getting used to, and do have limitations on branch size, but overall very happy.

These were bought for my wife. Her hands are not large, but gripping them towards the blades as per the instructions, this caused no problems. They are very sharp and cut cleanly, the assistance activating automatically as needed. The only problem is the spring, which needs to be stronger – often the handles open only halfway after a powered cut.
