Bought one 2016 and it stopped working 2022 so bought the same one. Couldn’t libe without this in the winter months drys clothes quickly
A bonus is that it gives a lot of heat as a by product of the dehumidifying process. Very light and easy to use. This is my third dehumidifier and possibly the best, assuming it will have a long reliable lifetime.
Bought this to handle condensation in a garage we converted to a gym. Absolutely brilliant and no more condensation. Highly recommended.
I bought this to replace an Aldi one I had which had broken. So far it is good. Works well, has a timer which my Aldi mini one didn’t and I wonder if I over used that one as a result. I use it in my guest room where I dry washing. This has a washing drying setting which I have used alongside the timer. It is larger than what I had, but still light enough to move around and doesn’t feel too large for the room. I hope that this will last a long time!
Now have two. Our old house is subject to condensation and mould which is so helped by my EcoAir. Just purchase additional one for our conservstory. Brilliant love them.
Bought to replace an EBAC dehumidifier, which ran on a timer. This unit has to go through a shutdown process so needs to be switched off from the top panel, it can also use the internal timer to switch off, but not back on.
The tank is smaller than I expected, and there is no facility to attach a drain leave it constantly running.
As a dehumidifier it has worked without any issues for a year now.
I cannot recommend this dehumidifier enough! It is quite, works very well and I use it every day in the winter days. It also does wonders drying my laundry. If there are 6or more stars I’ll give them.
Does what it says, great product, easy to use, highly recommend.
I really liked this product, and for a year it has done a great job, but it has started leaking, and I have checked filter is clear, floor even, etc. Will contact manufacturer and see how good the 2 year guarantee is.
UPDATE: Ecoair dehumidifier humming away good as new after warranty honoured. The process was slowed down by delivery issues, but the team there were unfailingly helpful. I haven’t seen a product I liked more than this, so relieved that I can rely on Ecoair products…. even when they do go wrong.
light weight, easy to move around. Small. Just what I needed.
This has been wonderful. In the first week it needed emptying everyday and has made such a difference to the downstairs of the house. We only have a two bed house but we need two dehumidifiers especially during the winter when drying laundry inside. The downstairs now feels much cosier and warmer and we’ve needed the heating on less even after only a month. Im glad we bought the desiccant type as it does get very cold overnight in our extension.
It is a great little unit. Easy to move and neat looking. Slim device that fits alongside furniture. I’ve not used the timer yet I just leave it on auto. Easy to use and maintain.
Highly recommended.
Works very well a bit noisy if in anything other than the lowest setting but otherwise a really good device
Were happy with this compact and efficient dehumidifier. It’s easy to store and not that loud. Recommended.
Great for removing moisture from the air, even heats room up a little. Easily moved about the house and although it’s not silent, the noise is not obtrusive and can easily be slept through. Highly recommend.
This is a powerful and very compact machine which I have standing in my bedroom. It collects a lot of water for such a small machine. I use it on the first setting overnight and manage to sleep so happy with that. We live in a stone house with solid walls and the bedroom windows are on both the north and the south side of the bedroom. Haven’t had a drop of condensation on any window since I started using this machine overnight, on the 1st setting, so am very happy. With it being so compact it has a very small water tank, so that is the only negative with this machine but you can’t have everything. I recommend it.
Our old house suffers from damp and this does a great job.
Bought for a motorhome and it’s perfect. Small, quiet and very efficient. Needs emptying daily due to small 1.8l tank.
We use this dehumidifier every day to keep humidity and mould under control in our bathroom, and also to dry clothes when the weather is bad. It’s still functioning well after over two years of daily use, so is great value for money.
Does what it says on the tin. Helped us dry a damp room due to a leak very effectively. Good quality product I have been running almost all day for weeks now. Just have to empty collected wate
Works in the kid’s bedroom to keep the wall and window dry. Small but powerful. Also, it’s much quieter than the big one we have elsewhere in the house.
Nice looking appliance, very convenient to use. In saving mode collects 1 litre of water overnight from two rooms, keeping humidity at 60%.
The only downside – even in saving mode it’s too loud to put in the bedroom.
Small and compact. Quiet enough and works flawlessly to remove moisture, damp, and odour.
It’s been second year we have it, it’s a great product.
Good unit, I have a larger one as well and find the ECOAIR products very good.
The ECOAIR mini can drop the humidity by 10% with ease on the lowest setting in under a hour.
No issues with the quality of the product, ideal for smaller rooms.
Works really well and very easy to use. Astounding amount if water being sucked out. We are in a 3 bed house and it seems quite suitable even though it’s not that large. I’ve been emptying the water tray once every couple of days. I bought this model because it was small and quiet other models seemed quite large.
Quiet in operation, similar to a light fan noise, we use it on the landing outside the bedrooms but on the lowest setting it would be fine in a bedroom providing a steady and low “white noise” effect.
The water tray is easy to remove and put back, and with its removable cover there’s no worry about spilling water when you carry the tray to a sink to dispose of the water. I’ve also used it on the laundry setting to dry clothes, that works well also. Main reason for buying was to dry out bedrooms to lower the amount of condensation on the windows on cold mornings, it’s cut that from the whole window being covered and dripping to just the bottom inch or so with a light misting.
A couple of points to be aware of, they are part of how it works but you might not have considered this. First, it works to an inbuilt level of about 50% humidity. You cannot adjust this. So if you found that slightly too dry or slightly too wet you wouldnt, unlike on some more expensive models, be able to set the humidity level you want up or down. It seems fine for us.
Next point, you can’t actually see what the humidity level is. I bought a humidity meter for about 10 which seems to work well which is how I know what the % level it’s setting is, otherwise I’d have no clue. And of course I’m hoping the humidity meter is working properly.
On the upside the lack of settings make it a breeze to use. Switch it on, select high, low, or automatic operation (generally starts out high then drops to low when it’s reached the 50% or so), or a laundry setting, high or low. I think you’d only set the high level of operation if you had abnormal humidity. Ive been leaving it on auto.
You can also adjust how the fan louvre swings (a lot or a bit) or leave it in any position you’d like by switching the louvre off when it points to where you want it. Otherwise it swings back and forth automatically.
The filter is easy to hoover out but it doesn’t seem to have picked up much dust yet, maybe we don’t have as much as I thought. Would recommend unless you are someone that likes to tinker in which case consider a more expensive model with inbuilt humidity setting and display.
UPDATE: is now getting the humidity down to mid 40’s.
Great product fairly quiet and so efficient too light weight. works well cant believe the amount of water after a nights sleep ,so reduces the water running down bedroom window (large bedroom too) .
I bought this item about 1 year ago. Works really well. Would definitely recommend this.
This is the second EcoAir dehumidifier we’ve bought; the first one is a DC18 condsenser type, which I thought was amazing. This, however, is on another level: 1. it’s quiet enough to run upstairs at night without distrubing anyone’s sleep; 2. it walks all up and down the DC18’s butt for water extraction – seriously, it probably collects double or more compared to the other machine, and that one sits downstairs in the cool, damp kitchen and bathroom area. This is an awesome piece of kit. If it had the more flexible humidity level control of the DC18, it’d be perfect; as it is, it’s close enough for 5 stars.
I am so pleased I have bought this dehumidifier – I wish I had bought it years ago. I have been using it for almost 2 months and it has made a marked difference in my ground floor Victorian flat. My hygrometer (bought separately) shows how the humidity levels change – overnight, when it rains, when doing the washing, cooking etc. I now find there is no longer a very slight chill in the air in my living room even when the heating is on, as I can now regulate the humidity to a level that suits me.
I love the size and look of this compact dehumidifier – it is discreet and very easy to move around. The noise is a slight ‘burr’ and it is exceptionally easy to operate (switch on/off and empty).
Of course, a dehumidifier does not replace aerating a room naturally by opening the windows every day and does not fix a damp problem which needs a specialist. I would not be without one now in my Victorian flat – I didn’t realise it would make such a big difference – it’s probably one of the best things I have bought in years.
I never realised there was so much air-borne water in our house! This unit works brilliantly, fairly quiet and slightly warms the air. Extracts many litres per day even at the low economy setting. I don’t really understand how this new technology extraction method works but it is efficient and effective. I recommend this unit as excellent value for money.
Works well. Not too loud. Easy-ish to move (empty first!).
Whilst small and light enough to be easily moved from room to room, it is powerful enough to dry my laundry and cope with my damp problems too. The water reservoir is also large enough for my needs. I’m very pleased with this product and recommend it.
So far so good! Takes a surprising amount of water from the air very quickly, also a great size to tuck away when not using. All in all very pleased.
That’s what I’m looking for!!!! very good dessicant.
Funciona estupendamente, y es precisamente lo que andaba buscando.
Muy buena calidad-precio.
Brilliant little machine – could not believe something this small and light would work so well
I recently had massive mould problems in my bedroom. The Hudmity level was 80% and I figured this was the cause of the problem. I initially purchased cheap 30 dehumidifiers, but these were totally rubbish. I then spent 100 on a condenser dehumidifier, this was much better but I read that the condenser technology is far less effective at UK temperatures (between 12-22c) and are more commonly found in hotter countries (25-35c). So I returned both of these to Amazon and got this DESICCANT unit. It’s is indeed more effective than the 100 condenser unit and probably extracts 30% more water. It does increase the room temperature more but I can love with this.
As for the actual unit it’s great as its so small. About half the size of the 100 condenser unit I had, and much lighter.
A really import thing to mention is that the unit only has a rundown timer (so it switches off after 2/4/8 hours once switched on) it can’t be put on an external timer as the unit must do a ‘cool down’ for 2 mins once turned off. The instructions say if you disconnect the power during this procedure you will damage the unit. This is unfortunate as the unit also doesn’t turn off when the humidity drops, so you effectively just have to turn it on for 2/4/8 hours a day and let it run. It does have an ‘Eco’ setting(which is just a lowe extraction rate) but this is not as good as turning off and on to control the Hudmity at a set level.
However overall, despite the lack of an ‘active’ Hudmity monitor I’m happy with the rate of extraction and size of the unit. I currently put it on for 2 hours every morning when I wake up and the Hudmity drops to about 48% and slowly rises during the day to around 60%. At below 60% I shouldn’t get any mould growth which is all I’m fussed about.
I have been using this for the passed few months now and it makes such a huge difference. It’s amazing how much water it can pick up! It’s a great size to put neatly in the corner of the room and very easy to use. You just switch it on, select the setting and the time and then “go”. It has a quiet mode too so can put on during the night without disruption. Also easy to clean. I would highly recommend.
brilliant bit of kit, amazing the amount of water it takes from the air, running this after hanging washing, putting it upstairs to prevene morning window moisture ect, works super well and better than buying little filters all the time
Small but very powerful…I like it as it does the job without standing out in the room…I like silence while I sleep…for me the white noise at night is distracting
Been using it for a year very reliable does what it says
Excellent compact size means it’s unobtrusive. Quiet running easy settings whilst water drawer small that makes it less heavy to carry. Bought with the healthy living thermometer excellent addition.
Yes it seemed to do the job. Bought for a friend
Very good purchase, really takes the water & damp out the air. Runs quietly. Highly recommend.
Excellent product. Resolved a problem with excess of humidity in a 3-bedroom house. We run AcoAir for about 2 hours in the morning and in the evening.
Small reservoir, so needs emptying a couple of times per week. 2hr timer is very useful. Compact product. Very happy with this purchase.
Faulty item received. As per the other negative reviews, unfortunately the dehumidifier stops working after a minute or so with a red exclamation mark warning light. Strangely it works ok in ECO mode – just no others. Overheating perhaps? Anyway, I’ve ordered a replacement and will update the review once that has been received.
UPDATE: I received a replacement and returned the original. The replacement has no such problem (so far). Providing it works reliably, this is an excellent dehumidifier. It fills up completely in 24 hours on its economy setting, which is far more efficient than the model it has replaced. It is also very, very quiet in comparison.
Just hope this one keeps going!
Both items have served a very valuable purpose following a leak and continue to manage the atmosphere. My home feels warmer!
I like the design of this dehumidifier, the unit is very neat, compact in size and light weighted so you can move it around the house without much difficulty. The dehumidifier works very well in collecting the moisture, couldn’t believe how much water it collects, therefore it would be even better if the tank is a bit larger but this is not a problem as the tank is very easy to empty. I normally use the lowest setting for the dehumidifier and it works very well and quiet so I can have it on during the night but not affecting my sleep. When the dehumidifier is operating, it will blow out warm air which also helps in increasing the temperature of the room in the cold weather. Overall, I am very pleased with this dehumidifier and I wish I get it much earlier!
Been having problems with condensation forming in our biggest bedroom, windows running with water, mould growing on the ceiling, you name it. Read the reviews of this product and did think there must be an element of exaggeration by other reviews, nothing could be that good or make that much difference surely? But, wow, was I wrong. In the first 24 hours it took 9.5 pints of water out of the air! Windows completely clear, mould already receding. Overall, this has been a great purchase and I would heartily recommend it to anyone having issues with excessive condensation or damp.
works perfectly. clear up all condensation on the windows in my 1 bed flat. great different settings. small and quiet.
I bought a Delonghi DEM10 two years ago for drying washing indoors. A persistent condensation problem in the box room meant I needed a second dehumidifier. My starting point was the DEM10, but then I stumbled across these EcoAir dehumidifiers and there’s no turning back – it’s close to perfect.
Other reviews have already done the machine justice so I’ll just summarise my thoughts here.
The good:
– I love the fact that it blows air instead of just dehumidifying (as the DEM10 does). This is great for circulating air where there’s a mould problem and also for drying clothes.
– It really does dry clothes quickly if they’re positioned next to the fan, partly because it blows warm air.
– The fan can be directed as you like, or oscillated
– The clothes-drying modes (max levels) have 2/4/8 hour timers to save the electricity
– The lower powered modes intelligently blow air around and sample it to cut in/out as required to save electricity
– Works at lower temperatures (down to 1 degree) so is versatile and can be used in the garage/loft etc
– Aesthetically pleasing design
– The water collection unit has a handle and lid built in, making it easy to empty without spilling water on the way to the sink – especially good for unstable/elderly people etc. Much better than the DEM10 which basically has a big bowl.
– I’ve not noticed a large increase in electricity used in the first month of running.
The minor niggles/points to consider:
– I wonder if I should have bought one of the bigger models. This is nice and neat for a small room, but I wouldn’t mind if the water collection tray was a bit bigger and it doesn’t give the impression of being sufficient for a whole house. But that’s my fault – not the machine’s fault.
– I’d quite like to have the option of using the timer on the low powered modes, but the intention is to run the machine all the time and it will decide whether just to blow or to blow and dehumidify. I guess this is still energy-efficient, but I like the idea of being able to run it in the eco mode for 4 hours each day while at work.
In summary, if you want a small machine for a specific problem area in your house, this is an excellent choice and I don’t regret my purchase at all.
I used this model in my caravan over Christmas and was very impressed by its ability to draw so much water out of the air, four pints in twelve hours, didn’t wait for the tank to fill, kept tipping into pint glasses. Emptied the full reservoir a further two times.
Okay, this unit works fine, but I’m confused by their customer support – they told me it doesn’t support continuous drain (their more expensive ones do), but having removed an interesting-looking blanking panel, there’s a diverter spring-covered hose attachment port!
12mm internal diameter PVC tubing will fit just fine to this machine if you’re comfortable popping your arm in the drain tray hole and flipping a little gate out the way.
Why did they tell me that it wasn’t supported when it is? Why would a dehumidifier company need to protect this secret? Dunno, friends, but share the knowledge.
I can compare this with two compressor type dehumidifiers that we have in our small house. In the summer the compressor units hold there own. In cold weather the EcoAir dessicant type dehumidifier knocks spots off them. In fact I tend to use the EcoAir even in the summer because it has a timer and more settings than the compressor units.
First rate Dehumidifier easy to use and not to big
Early days yet but device is quiet and very efficient. Simple to use and very portable. Arrived ahead of schedule and so far working well.
Bought last year and using this through the winter. Amazing the amount of water this item manage to remove from the ai
One year on:
Compact, low noise and noticeably works in my small flat – where hanging up washing, the shower and even the kettle contribute to a lot of humidity during the winter months.
During summer it stood hidden down beside the sofa, and its minimalist design meant it hardly attracted any attention.
It’s been going for a month pulling lots of moisture from the room. I have to empty the container 2-3 times a day. The process is simple even though I have walk up a flight of stairs from the basement.
ice compact machine. lifts lots of water. Quiet and easy to use & empty.
Great: compact, little workhorse, efficient. Ideal for our busy bathroom with no ventilation and does the whole apartment.
This dehumidifier is just fantastic!!! It is a little work horse!!! I have been amazed at the amount of water it has pulled out of the atmosphere in my home. I love the stylish design too…!
Cracking little unit.
Has no variable humidity control, though. Instead, it has an auto setting which is pre-set to achieve 50% humidity.
Alternatively, the unit can be set to dehumidify continually on full or half power, until the tank fills up when it will switch off.
All other functions are great..
Has options to wigggle the vent in different directions (although in wide or upwards swing mine makes a slight creaking noise).
VERY effective moisture removal (means smallish tank fills up quite quickly).
Tank easy to remove from the side, has lid and good handle for ease of emptying without spillage.
VERY quiet in low mode.
Low/High or Auto settings (eg. 2 fan speeds).
Surprisingly compact. Like an oversized shoe-box.
No wheels but good carry handle.
Timer to switch off after a set delay of 2, 4 or 8 hours.
Longer lead than most at around 2 Metres.
I’ve tried several different dehumidifiers and thoroughly recommend this one if you don’t want a humidity level control and don’t want to switch on & off with a timer (this is a desiccant model and only some compressor types are suitable for external timers).
Pretty good value, too, at the time of writing -considering how effective it is.
Although at 442 Watts on high setting, energy consumption may be a consideration for those watching their electricity bills.
Brilliant, small, quiet. Suck loads of moisture out the air. Only drawback, because of its size, needs emptying every day!
This is very compact and efficient in dehumidifying my home
I’ve used it to dry washing, and clear steam from cooking and the bathroom and it handled it no problem. I have only put it on for 2 hours max at the moment but it’s surprising what water it collects.
The wife purchased this product and rates it 5 Star, does the job very well and easy enough to move around the home.
Very pleased with this Dehumidifier which does all that it says and more.
Hardly any noise and the amount of water pulled from the room was amazing. Easy controls and timer is great. Not very heavy either.
very easy to use and the quietest available. I use it in my bedroom at night and now set the timer for four hours. There is not a drop of condensation on the window in the morning.
Does exactly what I wanted it to. Condensation on windows is now a thing of the past.
What a great machine. I have a small four room flat which became very damp. After reading reviews for countless dehumidifiers, I could see that this make had the best throughout. So I settled for this model and it works very well. I do however have it on constantly, but I am pleased.
I love this machine. It has various settings that suits any need, from sucking in condensation to drying clothes. It has 2hr, 4hr and 8hr timing settings too 🙂 just to warn you it does use alot of electric using machines but they suck in alot of moisture so it is worth it. The first few evenings i had it on for 5-6hrs and it sucked in a litre of water each night! That was on the lowest setting (auto) which is the most energy efficient. Its helped with the damp in my flat i now have it on 2hrs a night just to keep it a bay 🙂
If you are looking for a quiet mini compact humidifier then this is the one I strongly recommend.
It really does what it says. I have also purchased a De’Longhi DEM10 but De’Longhi one is a bit noisier.
simple to use. dropped humidity to less than 50% R.H. no more wiping the inside windows of lounge and dining rooms, separate rooms with dividing doors open, Very quite in economy mode Pulls out approx. 1 litre per day, not always on as I have bought an hygrometer to advise me when to turn off.
An old clich, but does what it says on the tin.

We had problems with damp in our apartment – moisture on the windows in the mornings, mildew appearing in corners and a general musty smell. Within 24 hours this had made a significant difference, pulling about 2L of moisture out of the air even though I was only using the low setting. After leaving the dehumidifier on for most of the first 48 hours, we are now able to just run it during the night to stop the problems returning. I find the timer function on this model is particularly useful for keeping an eye on energy use. Reasonably quiet on the low setting but noisier on the high or laundry modes. That said, I have found I rarely need to use them as the low setting is very effective.
Amazed how much water this small unit collects. Only had it a couple of days but very impressed with its performance. I was looking for one that is small enough to use in my caravan when I go away in October, this fits the bill. It’s small enough for the caravan but man enough for my house. In economy mode it uses about 3pence per hour, used for 2 hours twice a day works out less than a 1 a week. It still collects plenty of water in this mode.
I bought cheaper from a different supplier. I always ask myself after I’ve bought a product, would I buy it again now I know what it’s like, ABSOLUTELY
We recently moved into a ground floor apartment, and I immediately noticed that the relative humidity is almost constantly over 70%. I knew that I must get a dehumidifier, to avoid the negative effects of high humidity. I had no experience at all with dehumidifiers, so I bought a cheap peltier dehumidifier, which proved to be almost completely useless. I decided to buy a more serious machine to handle the humidity level, and after thorough research I decided to buy this machine. It’s very small, well designed, and it has great functionality. It easily handles the humidity level, even on the economy mode. I can recommend this machine to anyone who needs a reliable dehumidifier.
This de humidifier arrived earlier today and I have had this on for around three hours now. It has already collected a substantial amount of water, condensation on windows has cleared a little and the house somehow just feels a little warmer already. Very happy so far!
Bought this dehumidifier to help control vast amounts of condensation after the disaster of cavity wall insulation. This small machine clears condensation on the low setting overnight and, so far, I am pleased with the result. Received excellent feedback from other customers when I asked about settings for the machine. Hope it will prove to be economical and will view my bills with interest over the months.
Smaller and better looking than best selling dd122fw: very similar extraction rate: limiting factor for all models will always be tank capacity. Nicer control panel on top too. 2hours on laundry mode and left over night to air and jeans can be worn: amaze balls!
This unit seems to work very well and immediately remedied a problem with condensation/mould in a bedroom. It is quiet in operation, crisply designed and of a size that allows it to be moved without difficulty
Its quieter, lighter to move and seems more effient. Too early to say how it will last. The compressor unit it replaced only lasted 2 years on very infrequent use. Here is hoping
Remember to buy a DESICCANT dehumidifier. I’ve owned normal ones and they are rubbish when the temperature drops… normal ones are rated at 30C 80% humidity… Now if your room was that hot and humid you could just open a window and get down to 60%.easy, unless you lived in a rainforest.
This beast will keep sucking water out of your room right down to 1C, which means if your heating is off it still works great, unlike a normal one which stops working below 15C as it freezes over.
don’t worry about the low litre per day spec, in the real world this will outperform a normal uni
