1. All functions can be controlled via ECOVACS HOME App on Smart Phone. Therefore no remote controller is provided. For customers unable to use ECOVACS HOME App, please contact our ECOVACS support team.

2. For the first Cleaning, please turn Advanced Mode to “On” in the App Setting section. The Advanced Mode will allow you to access a ton of features, like area cleaning, multifloor mapping, and virtual boundaries. After the advanced mode is turned on for the first time, there is no need to turn on the advanced mode again.

3. Please don’t move the charging station during cleaning and map creation. Otherwise, your DEEBOT will not be able to find the charging station, and also the map cannot be saved.

4. For better mopping experience, please wet the mopping cloth first or wait for 5-8 minutes after filling the water tank.

5. To create your first map, it’s a good idea to set up your home:

  • Pick a good spot for the charging station. The OZMO920 uses it as home base, and once the map is created, you can’t move the charging station (without having to create a new map.)
  • Open all room doors and clear all obstructions that would prevent the OZMO 920 from finding all rooms, hallways and areas.
  • Pick up any loose items (clothing, toys, etc.) and tidy up loose cords and wires.

Golden Review Award: 164 From Our Users“I think you’re doing too much around the house” I said to my wife “I’ll take care of the vacuuming from now on” I was a bit dubious of these but I needn’t have worried, “Enid” is a great little cleaner. Bought on prime day, saving about 1/3 meant this was also great value and a comparative price to a regular vacuum.
Awesome set and forget capability means once the unit has mapped the house (and created a floor plan) it’s really easy to schedule cleaning of part or all of the house.
We schedule ours to do the most used rooms more often and a couple of times a week for the other, less frequent used rooms.
The mopping (or wiping to be more accurate) is actually pretty decent and I saw from other reviews that this wasn’t well received. I’ve added some photos to show the before (smudged) floor and after (which does leave some water marks). We add a tiny amount of anti bac to clear the floor and leave it smelling nice. It’s hyper diluted so shouldn’t gum anything up. It’s great although you do have to lift it into the hard floor area if it’s not already charging there in its dock as it can’t travel over carpet with the mop attached. Stops getting damp carpets! As the unit locates itself after you carry it off it’s not a big deal and I just
A downside are the tracks the unit can leave in carpets. Ours are a medium firm pile and I can see that in a soft pile this could be an issue.
Also I’d have thought that once the house is mapped that the unit would clean in a fairly efficient manner but it’s quite erratic (see last pic for its “trail”) Often cleans half a room then vanishes across the house to another. That said it does cover everything and carry on where it left off but doesn’t seem the most battery efficient way of doing things. Our downstairs is just over 55m2 and it can’t quite manage a full clean on one charge (about an hour). Not a massive problem as we schedule different areas on different days, but some reviews had this at 200 minutes which it would never achieve in the real world. Perhaps on “quiet” mode which is low power, but the brush action means it still picks up.
Little and often seems to be the way forward as the dust pan is a naturally small. It’s so easy to empty that this takes seconds, so again not really a problem.
Also gets under the furniture and climbs over small feet. Gets a bit stuck on conical shaped bar stool feet but other than that it’s fine. As the kitchen gets a mopping I usually move them out.
Mornings Enid starts her shift and cleans the lounge and hallway. Evenings she does the kitchen each day. I then give the kitchen and bathrooms a further manual “mop” once or twice a week. Pick her up and take her a d the charging dock upstairs and she automatically relocated herself and loads the upstairs map. You can only edit the active map which isn’t made clear and I thought the original floor map had been lost.
It’s nerdily addictive to watch the trail on the app too, however the app isn’t massively intuitive and it needs to map the whole house floor before “advanced mode” can be turned on. Advanced mode allows you to create “areas” for scheduled cleaning and no-go zones and borders (we found it under the bed a bit confused, so have blocked that and let it clean there manually only very occasionally). It’s also useful if you have one level to get outside and large doors open otherwise she might be outside trying to vacuum the lawn before you realise.
Editing areas can be a bit frustrating. That function could do with a bit of an update as it seems a bit buggy and sometimes refuses to split an area for no apparent reason.
These are all minor negatives and overall the house is now automatically cleaned all the time. Love this thing. Truly an ideal way of keeping your house perpetually clean!

Man now loves cleaning! Life changing vacuuming!

Golden Review Award: 103 From Our UsersAbsolutely made up with this, had it for over a week now. We have white tiles so constantly had the hoover out. Now we have this set to do a full clean once a day and the difference is amazing and it picks up so much. I would definitely recommend paying a bit extra to get the better navigation and more control over where is being hoovered. I bought this with no intention of using the mopping functionally but even this is better than I thought. We have it on the low setting for mopping as can leave the floor quite wet and slippy otherwise.

Golden Review Award: 75 From Our UsersSo, I love my deebot. I think it’s terrific, I think it’s fun to use, I think it’s easy to use and I think the technology is mesmerizing.
I’m a complete fan, but it’s important to remember what deebot isn’t going to do.
Deebot is not going to keep your house spotless. Deebot is not going to vacuum in all the nookes/crannies. It’s not going to move furniture around to get everywhere and it’s not going to go up and down the stairs by itself (nor will it realistically vacuum the steps). On mopping, Deebot doesn’t really ‘mop’ as much as drag a wet rag around your hard surfaces (and you can’t add bleach or anything) so whilst it will wipe the floor up…it’s not going to leave your kitchen sparkling.
So, why do I love it? Because I didn’t buy Deebot to remove the need to clean my house, I bought Deebot to make cleaning easier.
Ultimately, once you’ve worked out how to use Deebot (which effectively means allowing it to map out your floorspace. You then push the button or hit the app and she’ll come out and vacuum whatever space you ask her to do. So, for example, once the kids have finished snacking/eating there is invariably a load of crumbs/food all over the floor. Beep, here comes deebot to clean it up whilst I do something else.
So, depending on how busy it is (ie if the kids are in school or its a weekend) deebot does the rounds once/twice a day and it means all i have to do is supplement it with a deep clean every now and then.
Deebot basically takes the edge off cleaning – but doesn’t entirely remove the need to do so.
On the mop, as noted its more like a wet cloth that gets dragged around. Ive only used it once and the biggest pain is it takes a long time to dry out etc etc. I think if you’ve got pets it’s probably quite a helpful way of wiping up some slightly muddy footprints – probably depends on your floor space/set up.
So, in conclusion. Don’t buy a robot vacuum thinking you won’t have to clean again. Do buy a robot vacuum if you want something to keep on top of the cleaning allowing you space out your deep cleans a bit more.
As an aside, fun stuff Deebot does includes knowing if its on carpet or hard floor (yay), talking to you (yay), self charging (yay), work through alexa (bit irrelevant, but yay) and entertain the kids (kids love watching robots).

Golden Review Award: 52 From Our UsersSo far, I have used a vacuum cleaner for more than six months. The cleaning is very good, only one small problem-from time to time saved maps are lost and it is not recognized where they are located.
I still happy with vacuum cleaner and recommend to buy.

It works it’s way around picks up hair & dust I didn’t know I had and it will demonstrate this in it’s dust box at the end. Makes it’s way under the beds and cupboards you don’t want to move. When it’s finished it’s makes it’s way back to it’s charging dock to recharge. The only problem is the dog doesn’t understand why it doesn’t want to play!

    Deebot OZMO 920 Review

Lets start with the hardware. The machine is well made and has a good battery life. The cleaning vacuum power is good – even on the standard setting – both on hard and carpeted floors. I did not find I needed the full power option.

Once set up, the machine is a really good tool. I was skeptical of such a ‘gadget’ but find I would now not manage without one. For example I often use the app after I leave to get it to vacuum the hall and front door mat.

The machine carefully maps the rooms (does take a while the first time) and then makes a logical sweep of the areas.

I do think the software is a bit difficult to use. But after persevering and learning to use it in the best way – it gets the job done.

So overall I would say its a good buy and will continue to use it every day.

This thing is a game changer and probably one of the best gadgets I’ve owned so far. It’s a genuine time saver and since using it I’ve found it to be very reliable.

I think the room mapping function is pretty much essential as it makes these robotic vacuum cleaners far more efficient and reliable at finding its way around the home. If you’re considering buying one of these devices, my advice would be to spend a little more to make sure the mapping feature exists, as is the case with this 920 model which I can’t recommend enough. It’s superb!

Golden Review Award: 51 From Our UsersThis robot vacuum has revolutionised my cleaning, it saves so much time carrying out auto cleans overnight. It is simple to use, easy to programme and a very efficient cleaner, providing great suction, easy to empty. Being of a small height makes it easy to travel under furnishings and it’s manoeuvrability means that it cleans well into corners, the reports on cleaning progress and ability to switch on remote cleaning and control the vacuum through the App is also very useful.

Golden Review Award: 56 From Our UsersI had a neato before it this one is way better in terms of mapping the house and cleaning.
    The mopping function is amazing.
The only pain is that sometimes the maps resets and you need to add the virtual boundaries again.

Golden Review Award: 80 From Our UsersI bought this as we have a Golden Retreiver that continually sheds hair. It is fair to say my wife was sceptical, but 5 days in she is convinced it was a good buy. The dog hair is picked up with no clogging, and it cleans in places we usually don’t reach like under furniture.

Set-up was simple, and the app works well and keeps you updated on progress. For us it pretty much worked straight out of the box, we just opened doors to the rooms we wanted cleaned.

We would recommend to anyone with a dog – and it works well on both hard floors and carpets. It cleverly avoids the rugs and carpets when mopping.

To be fair the mopping is more like a quick wipe with a damp cloth, and it may not remove dried on stubborn marks, but good for a quick clean.

It cleans the whole of our ground floor or first floor on one charge without any problem

Seller contacted me to replace my faulty unit. Service was quick, efficient and went above and beyond my expectations. Based off this recent experience I fully recommend Ecovacs.

    —–

This product worked well for about 4 months. Then it started complaining about an LDS issue. The ‘comprehensive’ troubleshooting guide advises to tap the top of the LDS. The LDS is the laser distance sensor and if it doesn’t work, neither does the deebot. Following calls and emails to both Amazon and the seller (Ecovacs), Amazon refunded the product due to the lack of communication from the seller. Therefore, fair warning, the robot works until it doesn’t…and then you’re on your on. Do not expect help from Ecovacs. We will be looking for a replacement, but not from Ecovacs.

We were somewhat sceptical as to the value of this purchase. But I am pleased to say it is brilliant. Marvin the vac goes about his sweeping and mopping like a little trogon. Very efficient and easy to use. Marvin loves going round all the edges, legs and under the furniture, happily cleaning away with out a moan. The only down side is the set up and remote control app. This is poor and let’s this brilliant system down. However with a little patience it’s workable.

This is a decent robot vacuum / mop. But you need to set your expectations appropriately and understand the limitations of these devices. Comparing to other similar devices:

    the pros:
    cleans very well
    cleans quickly
    good attachments
    good build quality
good variety of settings for both vacuuming and mopping – quiet mode for vacuuming is particularly great. It cleans well and is so silent compared to other robot vacuums I’ve tried
mops well – as good as running a mop over the floor for day to day cleaning. It won’t get out marks that would require a good scrub, but you can’t reasonably expect it to.

    the cons:
the app is temperamental and the robot’s interaction with the app is a little buggy. If you’re not very comfortable with technology you’ll have some difficulty using it effectively
if you just want to use it to clean specific rooms and can easily place physical barriers around the areas you want to clean you’ll have no problems
the mapping though, can be a bit temperamental also. As a result of this and the app functionality using the feature of drawing areas on maps etc. is probably more hassle than it’s worth
the mop detects carpets well, and for the most part when the mop attachment is on it won’t go on the carpet. However, if you’ve got a thick carpet you may find the device getting stranded halfway up a carpet and having to physically move it

In summary a good purchase at a good price point, saves a lot of time and effort, and well worth its cost. But don’t expect it to fully replace manual cleaning in your house!

Golden Review Award: 82 From Our UsersFirst of all, as a vacuum, it gets the job done. It won’t blow a stand up vacuum out the water, but it holds its own.

The instructions on the website recommends getting out the house and stretching your legs whilst the vacuum does it’s initial clean and scopes out the layout of the rooms.
I headed out, certain that the little guy would get stuck on the first rug it encountered and need rescuing. 20 minutes into my walk I logged into the app (which is very easy to use) and the plucky little ******* had mapped out nearly the entire house accurately and cleaned nearly the whole flat!!
The indoor navigation is superb, it’s not had any issues finding its way back to its charger, and it provides its location in real time in the app (accurate to about 20cm as far as I can tell, which is ******* impressive)

Unfortunately the bin does get full quite quickly, but by programming it to to just focus on a different part of the house on different days of the week, it only requires me to empty the bin once in the evening, which is made very easy to do.

The little guy can navigate his way through surprising tight gaps, and always finds his way back to charger. I have yet to physically intervene in any way other than to empty it, which is truly impressive.

The Google Home integration is great fun as well, you can use commands like “Tell Ozmo to vacuum the bedroom” or “Tell Ozmo to go charge” or “pause vacuuming”.

Overall a great purchase. I’m glad that I paid the premium to get accurate indoor navigation rather than a “dumb” robot that would constantly require rescuing.

When you use these mapping ones for the 1st time make sure you give it chance to map your whole home out… and allow it to find its bearings…
Then you find it will map out great.
If looking for a mapping robo vac consider this one…

Golden Review Award: 94 From Our UsersVery pleased with this. I had previously purchased another “smart” robovac but turned out it’s not very smart. It drew a map and that’s about it. I don’t think I remembered it and always god stuck. So returned it.

But this robovac is so much better! I do think it’s much smarter. I can draw areas to avoid on the map. The map is great with real time movement. And you can see how efficient it is with straight lines.

Very pleased by this robovac so far. I can sleep at night without worrying about it getting stuck under kitchen cabinets because it’s doesn’t.

Golden Review Award: 75 From Our UsersI have the N79S and now this 920 model. I like the idea of the laser and how it maps rooms so you can then send it off to clean a zone. On my first try of letting it map the whole top floor it decided to generate a map that was 45 degrees so would have been rather useless for creating square boundaries.

It doesn’t seem to have a rotate option for the layout, so I had to run it full again and it got it right this time.

The side brushes dont really seem suitable for carpets as they just create a lot of drag and don’t look like they will last long, without them on it seems to cope better but wont get into the corners as much, imagine these can be put on when you want to get the edges more, I have left mine off for now. As I say on hard floors they would be better suited. The N79S that I have in the hard floor kitchen is also great. I actually feel that was a better purchase, less automated in telling it to go an do a certain room but ideal for the hard floor kitchen as the side spinning bristles do a good job then.

The one feature I see missing is the manual control which I can do with the N79S, this is useful when you just want to direct it right to the mess or maybe send it behind the back of the sofa.
So depending on what you want, if you want one for a single room then get the N79S but if you want it to go into more rooms with some direction and a methodical approach of cleaning then this may be better.

One thing you will have to bear in mind when you use these is that you will have to recon all areas for anything that could get tangled in it, and also pick up shag carpets and things it wont be able to cope with. It will make you think more about clutter and keeping the areas clear for when it starts. I don’t feel the schedule functionality is great for me as I have shag type carpets that I need to remember to pick up before it starts, otherwise it just can’t figure out how to get over it.

    Update after a few month:

Its now does a weekly clean of the top floor of the house, I just pick up a few carpets and make sure the floor is clear then set it running whilst I work, I am quite pleased with it and helps to keep the house more dust free. It does seem to get a coating of dust after a use which I have to clean off and give a brush. A nice toy to have and don’t regret getting it.

We had a cheap non mapping robot vac which was pointless, kept going over the same spots and missing others so we decided to pay a bit more for this one and it was totally worth it, it doesn’t miss a single inch of floor, integrates well with Alexa and Homeassistant and we couldn’t be without it now.
The only slight issue I had was the app however a recent update seemed to fix that issue anyway so thumbs up.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our Users5 months in and still my best purchase of 2021!

This vacuum although slightly pricey is worth every penny! The vacuum power matches the manual vacuum brands such as Dyson and Vax we have a Vax anti-hair wrap and it’s now only used to do the stairs, skirting boards and carpet I’m really impressed with the power!

This robot is great at both hard and carpeted floors, the way it navigates is maybe a little confusing but seeing the way maps the house no area is missed and the app is really easy to use. We now have 3 units 1 for each floor!

    So feedback to the manufacturer
it suggests you can’t put cleaning fluid in the mop reservoir mopping with water only seems a little basic, so please find a way to introduce a chemical hard floor cleaner.

Mine has a habit of closing doors on itself I think it’s funny but maybe you make it aware that it’s bumping up against a door and then stop itself that’ll be cool!

    This won’t let you down!

Golden Review Award: 101 From Our UsersI was very skeptic about this and having solid floors and dogs thought that this wouldn’t work. It doesn’t get everything up but because it does it everyday it makes a huge difference.
No more fur balls that roll around and because you can remove the roller no clogging which is the biggest plus.
It goes under sofas and tables and the only chore is to empty the bin at the end of the day. That’s a fair exchange of time, it cleans for an hour and you just empty out 🙂
Just remove the roller, set to high suction and it is great on hard flooring. The mop part is just dragging a wet cloth behind and not really used (if you damp the pad first and put a couple of drops of zoflora on it does do a fantastic freshen up though).
All in all from sceptic to convert, it really helps keep things down so a full clean is far easier and it stops build up in the first place.

Golden Review Award: 76 From Our UsersI bought this to vacuum clean the upstairs of our house. I already have the excellent AIVI T8 running downstairs but I chose this one as it was slightly cheaper and I didn’t really need the extra features that the AIVI T8 gives. The battery life in this isn’t as long but it still cleans the upstairs very well. Being mainly carpeted it does run a tad louder due to it being set to maximise it’s power when on thicker carpet but it still glides effortlessly over small pile carpet and on the hard flooring. The dustbin fills up eash time so you know that it does a great job and given the excellent mapping function you can capture where it has been. It also cleans intelligently… it marks out the boundaries in a room before then ensuring that it cleans the entire space in a systematic way.

They have since improved the UI in the app as well, making it more user-friendly. I am able to run both robot vacuum cleaners at the same time cleaning the upstairs and downstairs in my house. Overall, it is a fantastic robot vacuum cleaner.

Golden Review Award: 94 From Our UsersI have been looking at an automatic vacuum for ages. Several of my friends and clients had bought them and there were mixed reviews. I saw this deebot 920 on special offer on amazon and thought ok, let’s give it a try.

It arrived yesterday, I unboxed it and let it charge for a little while and then started a cleaning cycle.

The cat was amazed and followed the deebot all evening!, which made us laugh.

But so was I amazed! This little vacuum with a little waste box, collected so much rubbish and cat hair … even though I thought my house was clean. It is BRILLIANT!

I then tried the mopping program on the kitchen floor.. and the floor was left clean and dry. I don’t think it would clean stubborn stains, but it gives a great freshen up.

The whole of the ground floor of my house now looks so clean.

The software system is good and I am gradually getting to grips with its super features.

Sometimes the deebot finds it difficult to find its way back to the docking station, but it does eventually get there.

Golden Review Award: 162 From Our UsersWe got this just to make life easier, we have a dog and a cat and live on a farm so the floors need a fair bit of looking after.
The mapping feature is great and very accurate and the ability to block off areas around our dogs food bowls etc is ideal.
We live predominantly downstairs so have not used multi mapping. It cannot get into our conservatory on its own so needs taking in there and bringing back into the main part of the house so that it can go back to charge which is a shame but not a disaster.
We have set up 2 routines to run every day, at 8 pm it goes and hovers our bedroom and en suite then retuns back to base under the couch in the lounge, then at 5.30am it hoovers the rest of the house. It does not make enough noise to disturb us or our dog either time and it’s nice to wake up to clean floors.
We use the hoover and mop as needed (after cooking in the kitchen and making a mess or if the dog comes in with dirty paws etc) we do a full mop once or twice a week. You still need to do a proper mop now and then as the mopping is really just a wipe over with a damp cloth but with it doing most of the work that is not such a chore.
We have a few rugs about which are quite thick and the 920 struggles to get on them so we pick them up and shake them and put them out of the way for when it’s scheduled to clean, the other option would be to do a virtual no go area so the 920 does not try to get on them and get stuck.
It also links to Alexa which is good but very limited. You can start, pause, stop cleaning and send it home to charge we use that to have it come from under the couch to empty the bin and put on Mop etc. Once it has mapped your house and you have labled your rooms you can tell alexa to tell deebot to clean the Kitchen for example rather than using the app, which is fantastic
All in all its very good for what we need and probably our best purchase yet.

    Wonderful produc

Golden Review Award: 91 From Our UsersNo bigger compliment than “it just works”.

No fuss. No connection problems. Just does what it says. Based on reviews, the carpet cleaning far exceeded expectations. The mop function is questionable in a sense it leaves streaks (could have been user error) but not the main purpose for me.

The radar is a must in my opinion if you’re looking at one of theses

Once you get this set up properly, it’s a great piece of kit. Happily kept my floors clean for 6 weeks before developing a laser fault. Didn’t realise how lost I’d feel without it; quiet and discreet, it’s great getting up to a freshly mopped kitchen floor. Amazon offered a refund, Ecovacs offered a repair. I’m getting it repaired and have been happy with the service I’ve received.
Warning, deebot doesn’t like floor level windows and glass doors, the lasers bounce off the surface and she often struggles to recognise her surroundings and detects it as a new environment. When that happens, she doesn’t follow restricted areas you added to her map, and then re-maps the house from start again, which means having to move snagging items and tidying up, or if she does it during an overnight clean, being woken up to hear her calling she’s got stuck somewhere.
The regular remapping process is the biggest downfall of this product and the reason it doesn’t get five stars.

Golden Review Award: 101 From Our UsersThis was my first robot vacuum and I’ve been really impressed. We have the charging station downstairs and it works a dream for cleaning the black tiled floor. The scheduling and zoning function is great and I can’t help myself keep setting it off using the app as I marvel at the technology. Setting the upstairs map is a faff as you have to relocate the charging station for the initial map save – I’ll possibly invest in a second charging station if I can find one. Great device, smart technology and makes vacuuming effortless.

Golden Review Award: 167 From Our UsersAfter much research I decided on this one and haven’t been disappointed. It’s my second robot vacuum (last one was an Eufy) but it’s a marked step up in capability.
Yes, due to the laser it isn’t as slim as others but the ability to have two maps, upstairs and downstairs, is revolutionary.
I can select a specific room, and set a cleaning schedule for specific rooms, I can mop (best tip I was given was to pre-wet the mopping cloth), and I can draw areas on to the map I need ‘Dobby’ to avoid, so now there’s no getting stuck on the long tassels of the rug in the lounge which my previous robot consistently did if I forgot to move the rug.
The laser and the logical cleaning method it uses is far better than the random bounce my previous Eufy robot used.
It is a little noisier than my last, noticeably so on carpet, but this doesn’t outweigh its benefits.
I may end up buying a second out of pure laziness not to have to move the charging station with the vacuum to another floor, as this has to be done for the mapping to work.
    Can highly recommend this vacuum.
Only had it a couple of months so will report back on longevity later on.

Great at vacuuming but mopping is not great at all. It’s basically just dragging a sponge over the floor.
Also, the maps keep deleting themselves meaning all of the barriers and no mop zones need to be recreated by letting it clean the whole house all over again so that it can make a new map. Pretty frustrating.
That being said, its kind of like having a dog. His name is Rusty and we are mates except he doesn’t bring me slippers.
Please fix the disappearing maps, improve the mop, and perhaps teach it to bring me slippers?

-Does quite a decent job vacuuming
-the wheels are good, they can climb slightly raised flooring/thresholds
-easy to empty in bin without dirtying your hands
-sensor at top and bumper sensor very good at being gentle, it gentle taps my plans on a planter with wheels, it does make it move a bit, but not too much.
-the app is good (use advanced mode)
-app/vac sensor does good mapping of the house

    Dislike
-To get the app to sync with the vac, needed to turn off 4g. Once it’s synced, you can turn it back on (found that solution in a forum)
-mop function like wiping the floor with water very lightly once, maybe good for light dust only.

After doing LOADS of research, I’ve found that the Ecovacs and Roborock are the best for the mid range, with the Roomba a distant 3rd.

Hint: find a youtuber/review page that have discount codes for it and wait for it to be on sale. You’ll get it way cheaper.

Golden Review Award: 46 From Our UsersI had considered getting a robot vacuum cleaner for a while and looked at different options before settling for the Ozmo 920 for the balance between price and features. I wanted a robot with LIDAR because I wanted it to be able to map the floor and be more efficient about cleaning it rather than bumping around randomly. It was also important to be able to map multiple floors, add virtual boundaries on the map and be able to clean specific rooms only or even smaller areas after making a mess. These are all features of the Ozmo 920 and they all work reasonably well. The only thing that is sometimes problematic is when the robot is moved from downstairs to upstairs. Although it has mapped both floors (which requires the charging station to be moved upstairs the first time the mapping is created), sometimes it gets confused about where it is, and it takes a bit of effort to get it to figure out and clean properly. The mopping feature was not something I wanted but it came with it, and it actually works reasonably well, although I had to crank the water flow volume adjustment to the max, otherwise it didn’t seem like any of it was being dispensed onto the microfiber cleaning cloth (and the floor). Other reviewers have also noticed that the dust container is quite small so has to be cleaned very often, which in my case requires reaching under the sofa where the charging dock is to drag the robot out so I can open the lid and access it. And finally, I have to say that edges and corners especially are not always cleaned perfectly, due to the round shape of the robot. I don’t know if the Neato robots, with their flat side, do a better job cleaning in the corners, but you have to expect that once in a while, you might have to use a traditional vacuum cleaner to clean in the corners and around the edges.

All that said, having the Ozmo clean at night twice a week has definitely make a difference and saves me the pain of pulling out the other vacuum cleaner and doing it manually, so I am happy about the purchase. And being able to say “Ok Google, tell Deebot to clean the kitchen” is just the cherry on the cake.

I love this little robot. It’s cleans really well, you can set schedules for it to start and a do not disturb mode where you can set between times for it not to start cleaning. Mopping is adequate for a good clean. Would suggest to make the cleaner to go over the floor twice (which you can do in the app) if you have stubborn dirt on the hard floors. Great peace of kit if you have a busy schedule. Reasonably quiet and you can track its live progress across your home. All in all I give it 5 stars.

It’s a great helper in the house. I have black shiny floor which is a nightmare to clean so the robot is in use very frequently. My biggest concern is the app – it sometimes loses the map or somehow shows the robot the area I want to clean is blocked which is annoying but overall I am very happy to have this little guy!

This is my first robot vacuum and after researching different models for nearly 2 years I decided to buy this model. When it first arrived I was in my element, it looked good and I was impressed with the packaging. After a charge I sent it on its way to map the house for which it did effortlessly. The robot navigated its way round obstacles and gently bumped into chair legs etc.. it also stops just before a wall and quickly turns the other way. Navigation was spot on. Thee app is good and I can see where it goes whilst cleaning the house. I was amazed by the amount dirt and dust the robot could suck up and it quickly filled the dustbin in one clean. However it all went down hill from the first couple of cleans: Bearing in mind I’ve only had this vacuum a week!!:-

First of all I noticed it couldn’t quite go over my door thresholds so I had to help it over occasionally. My thresholds measures at 16mm-18mm between rooms and Ecovacs advertises that it can climb over 20mm thresholds and this was the reason I went for this model!! Now it’s got worse and during every clean I have to come to its rescue and push it over thresholds so I can’t leave the vacuum unattended which defeats the whole purpose of buying it!!
    2. It randomly stops halfway through a scheduled clean and returns to the charging dock despite having more than half of battery life left.
    3. It now misses rooms during a clean.
    3. It now says it has a LDS malfunction!! (Seems to be a common problem)
    4. It has started to struggle trying to find the charging dock asking me to manually place it on the dock.
This robot is not cheap and I certainly did not expect these issues after only a week of using it.

    UPDATE:
I decided to persevere with this vacuum and reset it back to its factory settings to give it “one more try” before returning it and somehow this has seemed to work. It no longer get the LDS malfunction message, it finds the charging dock easily and somehow it has seems to have learnt the best way of cleaning the house, meaning no rooms are being missed. The vacuum however still has some issues climbing the thresholds, however it has managed to climb between a couple of rooms without me having to help it which is better than when I first had it. I just hope I won’t have any more issues with it as its now a month old. Crossed fingers!!

Golden Review Award: 94 From Our UsersUpgraded to this after another (cheaper) brand let me down… and this might be the best piece of tech I’ve ever bought.

The mapping and floor detection (between laminate, rugs, and carpet) is perfect, the scheduling works without fail, it hasn’t once caught on rugs, the app is close to perfect (virtual boundaries, specific area cleaning, area labelling, etc.), it has an adjustable vacuum power, can be used on multiple floors, rarely bumps in to stuff… all the things I wanted out of the other robovac, but this one does amazingly well at.

We don’t really use it for the mopping feature (the docking station is on carpet, which isn’t ideal) so can’t really comment, and it’d be good to see the robovac’s battery percentage in the app (next to the battery icon) – that’s all I can think of.

My other half wasn’t keen on getting one, but even she’s impressed enough with it for it to stay 🙂 It’d be difficult to go back to not having a robovac after experiencing this one!

Golden Review Award: 122 From Our UsersI purchased the Ecovacs NS79 while it was in offer.. I loved it so much that I decided to get the Ozmo920 – mainly because of the mopping feature.
The Ozmo920 is unbelievably precise and vacuums really well for such a small unit. It takes less than 30 minutes to vacuum and mop30m sq tile floors. When cleaning is complete, it announces this and returns to its base to charge.
Setup is easy and creating cleaning schedules is also a breeze. You can also control water levels for the mopping function which is handy if you want a slightly wetter finish.
The mopping function is good – it won’t replace a proper steam mop, but it’s great as a means of keeping the floors decent in between proper mops. Another thing to note is that although it vacuums edges well, the mop can’t get to the edges.
It still gets 5 stars from me!

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersDelivery was on time. The robot was very well packed. It had some charge when it arrived two days ago. Appears to work ok. However, the cable to the docking station doesn’t really fit well so charging is proving to be a bit of hit and miss. Very prompt response from Amazon and ECOVACSHOME. I am expecting to return this item and look for a replacement since I like the idea but this piece appears to be …. just a bit off. Thank you Amazon / ECOVACSHOME for sorting things so quickly.
Edit1: I wonder why, when I am told my item’s issue isn’t a common one, have I not been offered a replacement? ……….
22/02/21: so the replacement seemed to have poor battery life( compared to the occasions I managed to fully charge the first one. So… it went back. I am. Ow on the second replacement, delivered a day early ( yesterday). The charging cord is a good fit in the dock( not loose like No.1), so far after an overnight charge, No.3 is doing a good job. Cleaning/ suction power , I already was happy with, no go zones a delight, area cleaning a great feature. Fingers crossed , third time lucky! That I’ve persisted in getting a “good piece” , despite not being a patient person, is evidence of the great job and time saving achieved.

I have had, and returned, two different cheaper Deebot cleaners, as they constantly got confused and failed to clean 95% of the area, preferring to clean the same 5% until the battery ran out! I wanted nothing more to do with robot vacuum cleaners after my experience, as reviews of competitors models revealed the same concerns. However, Ecovacs later offered me the Ozmo920, which I agreed to, mainly because it has a laser which, in theory, means the cleaner should know where it is, and where it needs to go…
Although is very early days, I have the following observations:
    Pros:
The cleaner arrived extremely well packaged, the attention to detail is amazing. Very impressive.
Mapping is excellent, and really shows the cleaner knows the dimensions of each room, and importantly, where it is and where it still needs to clean.
If the cleaner is paused half-way through, or need to re-charge, it knows where to start from again, to complete the job.
It navigates well around furniture and other objects.
So far it hasn’t got stuck in a small area that it then keeps re-cleaning, unlike cheaper models.
Cleaning quality is very good – excellent in fact.
Good scheduling options on the app, along with other useful features.
Finds the docking station easily and without problems – again, unlike cheaper models.
It’s not nearly as noisy as a normal vacuum cleaner, and it is actually possible to watch TV with the cleaner operating!

    Cons:
Setting up was not easy, the instructions miss some vital steps. However using Google for advice provded the answers I needed.
The laser adds a couple of centimeters to the height, meaning the cleaner cannot go under some of the furniture that cheaper models can do – as they don’t have the laser protruding.
It is a little fiddly seting up two floors on the map. Surprising how a key feature is not made all that obvious on the app.
On carpet upstairs, the cleaner at times struggled and stopped, saying the brushes had got tangled and needed cleaning – when they had not got tangled at all. It happened so often I actually removed the brushes. This seems to happen mainly when the cleaner was approaching a mat I have on the more heavily-used section upstairs, so I suspect the brushes get caught between the carpet and the mat, although this wasn’t immediately obvious when I attended to the cleaner.

In summary, from my experience using cleaners with no laser positoning, if you want a truly autonomous cleaner that is more likely to perform to expectations, it is going to be more rewarding to pay the extra and buy one with a laser – it’s the only way your cleaner will know where it is and where it needs to go. But as I say, still early days, but thank you Ecovacs for offering this more-advanced model, and I sincerely hope my good experience continues… I will update later if need-be.
Please note – Ecovacs did not ask for any review to be posted by me in return for the cleaner, so this is truly a completely independent and objective review.

The Deebot 920 is a brilliant gadget that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. After setting up and mapping the floorspace it performs a great clean everytime. We have a dog and hardwood floors, but the vacuum makes light work of picking up all the dog hair and leaving the floors spotless. I have a couple of niggles. Firstly the occasional resetting of the map, due to closed doors or other obstructions and secondly, I can’t get it to connect to Google Home. I think it’s because our router operates at 5Ghz not the recommended 2.4Ghz. But the amount of time saved with floor cleaning totally makes up for these. A very useful and recommended cleaner.

Golden Review Award: 85 From Our UsersI’m glad I didn’t write a review in the first couple of weeks of owning the Ozmo920 as I probably would have given it 5 stars – which I now realise it really doesn’t deserve.
Basically if you bought this product from Amazon in the UK there is no customer service. You can get through to outside of the UK customer service – who will politely tell you that you need to contact UK customer service and give you an email address (and then spam you every few days to tell you that your ticket will be closed) but there seems to be literally no-one manning the UK customer service email.
My issue started when the anti-drop sensors failed and the product fell down the stairs… ok, I see that in the instructions it says that you should block all drops, but that’s kinda counter intuitive given their boasts of ”anti-drop sensors” supposedly preventing such drops. That was over a month ago and despite multiple emails back and forth with what I presume is their ”everyone-but-UK” customer service team I’ve yet to receive a single response from their mythical UK customer service team.
To add insult to injury, as I type this my Ozmo – which still works but has a large crack across his top face – has just told me to ”clean my anti-drop” sensors. Ah, if only it had decided to stop rather than ”risk it” when the sensors had got dusty as it approached my stairs…

So, would I recommend? I’d recommend a robotic hoover as it has saved me time but I couldn’t recommend an ecovacs product. Not until they open a UK customer service office or allow their non-UK customer service team to offer customer support to people who purchased in the UK.

    ——————

Edited to say – since writing this review I have spoken to the customer service representative and must say that they were very professional and couldn’t help enough. I now have no issues whatsoever with the product or the company and wouldn’t hesitate to buy another ecovacs product.

Golden Review Award: 77 From Our UsersLoving the Evac – it has a really good way of scanning and mapping the room, and cleans well. The brushes reach quite well, and it catches dirt well. The app is good too – notifies you just enough and you can control the voice volumes. Been in use for about a week or 2 now, and has only once gotten stuck (it managed to ramp up a chair base and then tried to turn, and got wedged). Golden Review Award: 180 From Our UsersI’ve wanted a Roomba for years, never been able to justify the cost … Then Prime Day comes along and I miss most of the offers, but see this baby looking sexy and seems to do everything I want and at half the price of the Roomba so I bite the bullet.

Had it for about a week now, and whilst I’m having some issues integrating it with my home automation system (advanced level .. if you just want to say “Alexa, tell deebot to start cleaning” then you’re golden) … but on the whole I’m very impressed.

So much so in fact that I then ordered a second one for the upstairs in my home (despite this supporting multi floor mapping / etc) … One of the reasons I bought this was so I wouldn’t have to keep lugging the vacuum cleaner up/down stairs … so I don’t really want to do it with this either 🙂 (hence buying 2).

Loving it … house hasn’t been this clean in ages … can schedule deebot to clean at 4am while I’m fast asleep upstairs, which it does quietly and efficiently.

All in all, I’m very happy with it … I just wish there was better integration into systems like “Home Assistant” and other 3rd party HA type solutions … and/or that I could do more with Alexa (like incorporate a cleaning cycle into my daily start routine without having to dictate war and peace to Alexa first)

Golden Review Award: 129 From Our UsersI was always sceptical about getting one of these. Back when they first came out, they didn’t have great suction and you ended up spending more time fixing them or cleaning what they could not suck up. It was my husbands idea to get one and he watched countless reviews to find the perfect one that was effective in both mapping, mopping and hooving carpet. I was not keen on the idea of spending hundreds of pounds on something I was pretty sure would not get the car hair off our upstairs carpet, as I spend my cleaning days struggling with a Dyson cordless to do an half decent job.

Wow, did this blow away my expectations. Not only does it collect the cat hair off carpet, but manages to collect my own long hair too, as well as a huge amount of dust that I had no idea was there. It leaves those nice stripes ont he carpet that show it has been effectively hoovered. It is so easy to clean out the bin. I am delighted I don’t need to touch the dirt anymore, as with my Dyson hoover, I had to often get my hand in there to pull it all out. The mop function is fabulose and easy to use, using just the right amount of water. It takes a bit of reading to understand how to set up the maps but as someone who is not hugely savy with this stuff, I managed to map the whole top floor of our house and figure out how to add no go and no mopping areas while my husband was away for the weekend. I also have set up an auto cleaning cycle, so my house is cleaned every day. It is like I have a free cleaning lady cleaning my house daily without the whole bother.

For anyone who can’t imagine this doing a decent job, I assure you it really does!

This was a great purchase on a lightning deal. Its laser mapping is quite good but it still gets stuck sometimes under tables. Roboroc and 360 are probably better but as I got this on a lightning deal the price for functionality is good

Golden Review Award: 176 From Our UsersI’m fascinated on how this works and watch it on the app wander around the house cleaning. So glad we didn’t buy one without the laser sensor that just ping pongs around the house.

Was a bit trial and error getting a map set up that would differentiate between rooms – it thought our hall and kitchen were one room so found it impossible to then divide later. Closing the door between the two and letting the deebot go the other way solved it. I could then go on and manually split the lounge / dinner.

Can set no mop or no clean areas where there are cables lying etc.

We have laminate / hard floors on the ground floor so this is ideal, can’t comment on carpet performance but does well enough as it goes onto doormats – it increases power as it does so.

We have thresholds between rooms, at 20mm and easily gets over them.

Maybe an illusion but am pretty sure have seen it struggle with some bits of fluff and actually go back three or four times at different angles to try again.

    Great!

Golden Review Award: 41 From Our UsersBought this as an upgrade to my normal robot vac.
Work very well with cat hair on my laminate floors and the mopping does make it look fresher, just a shame you can only use water though.
Also love the fact that this one talks to you!

The best one and the power cleaning the home is superb. Also its provide great features like virtual wall. Im using this since months now works perfect best value for money when compared to Mi or Romba

I love this vacuum. I have laminate all around so it picks up everything. Hallway, living room, backroom and kitchen, takes 11 minutes and pops back onto it’s charger, Alexa compatible or by app, and scheduler to boot. I was dubious, but in the end it won me over.

don’t buy it for mopping function. only tried it once but at the moment it just puts a smear of water on the floor at the highest water setting – does not even give the floor a shine. I will continue to try it. the mapping function and return to base is excellent.

Golden Review Award: 62 From Our UsersDid not know much about this brand but did a little research (check online videos) as bought for my parents, I owned a Neato for 5 years so not new adopted to this space.

I wanted to see if kind a decent priced robot that can also do some light moping my parents are at any now where these types of tasks are not easy.

The setup was fairly easy from unboxing the robot and the app setup, I do work in IT so less IT savvy may find this a little harder but seem okay to me.

I was concerned that this round bot unlike my Neato which is D shaped and so corners are easier for the bot.
I did find it did not fair as well in corners for this reason, however it did have larger than usual side brushes that did help it do an acceptable job on corners.

It based on lidar so did as good if not better job of mapping room and like my Neato started on edges first and worked the room in lines.

I love how you can see in the app where the bot is and has been, it shows clearly with indication lines.

In terms of cleaning seems to do a good job so no issues there, I did however find the bin was quite small and so for larger property this may need emptying during a job, certainly after each run, in comparison my Neato bin looks and feels bigger.

We not really tested the mop feature yet so cannot comment on that yet.

Note you can setup boundaries or no go areas in the app, and like how it detects carpet and ramps up the suctions, great if have mix floor setup.

Overall good value and features, seems to good bot as usual with these things time will tell. I think if looking for bot and wanted to avoid the main stream, Roomba and Neato or want a mop bot 2 in 1 then I think you cannot really go wrong with this one. I even considering buy this once my Neato goes but it has been solid.

Golden Review Award: 78 From Our UsersBought this to upgrade from my old ‘dumb’ robot vacuum, which was rarely used because we were either in the house during it’s scheduled cleaning time and stopped it, or we were out and forgot to run it.
So the idea was I’d set up an Alexa Routine, or trigger something through Smartthings to run the vacuum whenever we leave the house.

Although there is alexa functionality YOU CANNOT USE THE OZMO920 IN ROUTINES OR ADD AS A DEVICE the only way to trigger the vacuum is to ask alexa to run it and to stop it you must ask alexa to stop the vacuum.

    WORKAROUND: (needs spare Echo device)
1.) Set up a secondary Echo next to an existing echo device, then MUTE this device’s microphone.
2.) Set up a trigger in Smartthings to turn a virtual device ON or OFF based on if we were in or out of the house.
3.) Setup a routine in Alexa for the new Echo device to say “Alexa ask deebot to start cleaning” when your virtual device is ON
4.) Set up a routine in Alexa for the new Echo device to say “Alexa, Ask Deebot to return to the dock” when your virtual device is OFF.

It’s a bit hacky, but it works, and given you’re always out (or nearly home) when the routine triggers, you never hear the secondary Echo speaking.

PLEASE ECOVACS ALLOW THE VACCUM TO BE ADDED AS A DEVICE THAT CAN BE TRIGGERED USING ROUTINES!!

Very happy with it, quieter than expected and does a good job! Clever enough not to get stuck in places, increases strength when it is on carpets and navigates nicely around the house.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEDIT – Manufacturer very helpful with my issue.

Best mapping robot vacuum that you can get for the money.

It’s great – you can ask it to clean a specific room and it will find its way there and back to the charging dock.

Overall the robot is great – the virtual boundaries are really good – if it gets stuck on something, just open the map and tell it not to go there.

Overall the best robot vacuum I have used and having done some research nothing else at the price is good.

    Recommended.

I have now had three robot vacuums including e5 iRobot roomba and another cheaper one and this is categorically the best value for money and high performance of them all. The app is a little basic but everything else is impeccable. Love love love.

Golden Review Award: 77 From Our UsersI hate vacuuming but it’s a daily necessity with 3 cats. I’ve been using a Neato D701 robotic vacuum since about April 2018. It was replaced less than a year later when it stopped working, and then this replacement conked out at the end of May this year. My experience with this particular expensive robotic vac is that you’ll get a decent performance out of it for a year before it becomes problematic.

This Ecovacs version has impressed me (mostly) with its easy set up and vacuuming capability. It’s obviously quieter than the Neato, and the long thin brush on either side swooshes up any debris even in corners. In fact it has cleaned small areas that the Neato never managed. There are odd moments when Ecovacs loses the plot a little; perhaps circulating a table leg frantically for a few minutes before moving on to other areas. In addition, the mop function is very lightweight. Don’t expect this Ecovacs to mop up ingrained or sticky messes; nope it’s a quick surface mop only.

This machine is about the same size as Neato but has a smaller charging station and a smaller waste collection container; but this big enough to do my entire ground floor before it requires emptying. I just have to work out volume control; I’m sure the neighbours can hear this Ecovacs announcing when it starts and completes a cleaning cycle. 4 stars

Golden Review Award: 75 From Our UsersGreat vacuum, cleans up our retriever’s hair really well
The mopping is ok, really just dragging a wet cloth around but if used regularly it keeps it pretty clean & as it vacuums as it’s going it’s excellent for that
The mapping is not that great, kind of works but then if you ask it to pop into the lounge it decides it’s upstairs or can’t see where it is, but weren’t to just shut it in a room while we are not in it & that works perfectly
Also it doesn’t cope with some things, cables, mats, and our fireplace as it gets stuck under the wood burner, we have sorted that by Quickly setting the room up to move the mat & block the fireplace, only takes a second – MUCH quicker than vacuuming ourselves.
Battery power is not enough for all our ground floor, runs out about 89-90% through, but it’s a big house so no worries
You do need to empty the bin every clean, it copes with a large room ok but no more, however it only takes a moment.
All in all we love it, it takes moments to set up a room to use it & is easy to maintain, & we hardly have to vacuum ourselves at all now

Golden Review Award: 97 From Our UsersSo after looking at reviews for this product this is my first time buying a robot vacuum cleaner.

ECOVACSHOME seems like the perfect product to buy, the Hoover is really good terms of set up and general cleaning of the house.

What I will say is that the mopping is not the best that you can get and rightly so, I would not expect anyone to assume that they can completely give up mopping and completely rely on this to be able to replace that because you can’t.

I would now looking back consider to have just bought the ECOVACSHOME cleaner that would be vacuuming as opposed to the 2 in 1z and recommend that to anyone because, the cleaning for the mop is not that great it is just literally water and it’s been wiped away. Stubborn stains will remain and if your anything like my family with similar with kids who will literally smear anything on to the floor such as chocolate. The mopping will leave a little bit on the floor or just literally smears and spreads the chocolate . It will not be picked up or wiped away completely.

However the cleaning side of it it’s great. I would definitely say that it has helped and it’s a great piece of technology to have if you just want a general clean to be carried out daily or every other day on laminate flooring, it works really well on carpet area as well however, the battery life is poor On this device as I found having the Hoover set to maximum suction power it only lasts about 30 minutes. It will then need to be charged up again.

I have a friend who bought the ozmo 950 which obviously offers a lot more battery life so if you want a device which gives you almost double the battery than that is probably the best or better model to buy . It offers you exactly the same spec as what this device does in terms of vacuuming and mopping but has the additional battery life.

All in all I’m happy that I purchased this model and this brand as my first robotic vacuum cleaner and if I was to buy a secondary one it would definitely be from ECOVACSHOME again.

Golden Review Award: 51 From Our Usersgreat product and idea. works amazingly well just for some reason it would stop in the most random of spaces whenever I would get home. in the beginning it was great at getting over a step to clean however now it has issues getting over the small step especially when it wants to return to its charging dock.

it works great otherwise and other than needing a bit of a push over the step it is amazing. but I returned it just in case it keeps doing this. at this price I expect just about perfectio

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersThis robotic vacuum cleaner is amazing! It is effective and powerful but quiet. It works very well both on carpets and hard floor. It is a smart robot vacuum that with room mapping function. It remembers multi floor plans and allow you to plan cleaning route on a smart phone app. Very impressed with how much it can do and how efficient it is!

Golden Review Award: 166 From Our UsersI have to admit this is my first robot cleaner although I did a massive research and had my expectations in check.
Strangely enough you can not find the dimensions of the robot anywhere on the web or on ecovacs website of the time of writing. 9.2 cm high and 34 cm diameter. Another thing is the user manual which is very basic and gives you no information at all ( you have to figure most thinks by yourself) example – you can not find whether you have to use water only for moping or whether you can use some mild disinfectant…
I have to say the build quality of this machine is stunning. It does a great job of swiping and mopping our very doggy ground floor plan (all hard floors) and climbing over 2 cm high doorway threshold (even a couple of millimetres over).
When I started the thing first time, there was a firmware update which might have improved the logic of the robot over the earlier versions… again I can’t really comment as I have no previous experience. Once it created the floor plan it started moving around in a little bit better patterns, still there are places where it seems to loose awareness of where it is and starts rotating around for a bit or completely stops for a few seconds to “think” what to do next.
These are all issues that can be sorted out with a future OTA update. One of the positives I was not expecting is that the thing will do its very best to go everywhere, even if the space is really tigh, or under a low furniture and radiators, even if it has to bang its sensor against it (which is protruding from the top).
It does a better than expected job of cleaning the whole of our ground floor, leaving it spotless and dust free which is a great help for us since we have an african-grey parrot who literally is a dust making machine.

    Edit 01/11/2019
Today our robot received firmware and app updates. As a result the cleaning pattern have been greatly improved (no more stopping for a long time or running like crazy in a corner of a room). Many new additions on the app – much needed area edit tools, labeling of rooms etc. Still a lot of room for improvement, but if they keep up with the updates I am sure I will change it to 5 stars very soon.
