As you would expect with Einhell this product works perfectly straight out of the box. Blade changing is straightforward and it cuts hardwoods accurately and effortlessly. Very useful tool for the model maker.
My first saw arrived faulty; the grub screw for the top housing that holds the blade was broken making the saw unusable but Amazon collected the next day and sent a replacement next day too. the replacement was intact and i had fun setting up. Overall i would say that pinless blades are a fiddle to fit due to the design but not exactly difficult. I think it will become easier with practice. I have run the machine on the thicker end of its limits (22mm pine) and it performed well if a little slower than i hoped. Remember that this is a hobbyist tool and is not meant for long sessions. The manual recommends running for no longer than 5 minutes continually before leaving for 20 mins to cool down so if you are hoping to bash through batch after batch you will find it frustrating waiting on the cool down. My cuts took around 2 minutes each cut and there was a natural wait of around 5 minutes whilst i sanded and then prepped the next cut. I had no issues with over-heating this way. Overall it is a good budget buy for a hobbyist.
I cannot believe a machine sold on the British market is without local language instructions for setting up.

Found the instructions supplied not to contain an English section – so had to find the pdf and print off the required section for assembly – however is was pretty straightforward to assemble. But wanted so ensure nothing was missed etc.
The fence is not very accurate – when clamped it does not clamp squarly on the table. So used other means to get a straight cut as per pic – tried to get the fence to square up but as stated it clams off square.
easy to use and did a good job making light work of 19mm cuts.
So for what it is happy with the tool for lighter domestic jobs.

Silenzioso e potente solo un po macchinosa la sostituzione delle lame.
Buon prodotto in rapporto al suo prezzo, esteticamente piacevole, discreta la robustezza, buona la precisione della lavorazione, occorre naturalmente tener presente il suo uso di tipo obbistico e non certo artigianale o professionale.
Die Verpackung ist sauber, gut und gut durchdacht. Der Zusammenbau gestaltet sich als einfach und schnell. Es sind nur wenige Teile des Schnittschutzes, die angebracht werden mssen und die Gummifsse. Fast komplett ohne Werkzeug zu erledigen.
Der erste Betrieb ist sofort mglich, da sogar das Sgeblatt bereits eingebaut wurde und eingestellt ist. Der Motor luft an und man kann mit einem Poti an der rechten Seite die Geschwindigkeit der Sge an die zu erfllenden Arbeiten anpassen. Ich empfinde den Motor nicht als extrem laut, weshalb ich die angegebenen 102 dB nicht verstehen kann. Der Motor ist deutlich leiser als die meisten Staubsauger. Bei mittlerer bis hoher Geschwindigkeit erfllt die Sge meine Erwartungen. Bei kleinster Geschwindigkeit habe ich meine Zweifel an die Genauigkeit, da die Sge da in Eigenschwingung gert. Deshalb an dieser Stelle 3 Sterne. Alles in Allem trotzdem 4 Sterne wert fr den Preis.
I contacted their Customer Service and they came back to me with pretty useless pics and no practical advice.
So I’m continuing to use pinned blades for now but I suspect that unless I can find an easier way to be able to use pinless blades I’ll have to upgrade.
This is a big thing in scrolling and their Customer Service need to be more alive to it and actually assist customers.
Utiliser pour bricolage paisseur max 20, attention ne pas non plus l’utiliser comme un bourrin (selon la duret du bois) se n’est pas une scie a ruban… dsol pour ses remarques mais je lis certains commentaires ou questions poses des fois on se demande. Bonne utilisatio

99, pour a j’obtiens un outil qui fonctionne mais qui nanmoins pourrait tre mieux facilement.
Pas de possibilit d’adapter des lames sans ergots, donc plates ce qui rend le travail plus hasardeux pour corriger les tirs, plateau lger et malheureusement sans repres. Elle vibre beaucoup et pleine puissance elle a tendance se balader toute seule sur la table.
L’essentiel n’est pas trs robuste, le plateau est peu pais, je choisi donc de ne pas trop forcer. J’ai sci du htre lourd en bois debout sur 20 cm et l’opration s’est passe correctement. Faut lui donner le temps de faire.
C’est l’entre de gamme toutes scies confondues, faut pas trop en esprer. Mais fait le taf.
Le plaisir du dtourage de petits personnages en bois devient un plaisir.
Un petit clairage de la zone de travail aurait t le bien venu.
Excellent outil trs solide (12kg !) pour des travaux de modlisme, etc… mais difficile le faire manipuler
par des jeunes enfants (8-12 ans) dans des ateliers scolaires de modlisme ou autre.
I like it as I saved 20+ on it as it did not come up to someones idea of the sale . It has a couple of scratches on the sole plate and a miss of paint . It works very well even with the defects as they don’t interfere with the work I am working on.
I use this machine to build toys and ornaments. It does what needs to be done. I have yet to change a blade on it, so that part I cannot evaluate. As it sits now, I would not hesitate to recommend it to a friend.

Je l’ai install et il ne fonctionnait pas. Aprs inspection, j’ai constat que le fusible mont sur le circuit imprim derrire les commandes avait disparu. Un peu trange. Sinon, c’est une machine agrable et pratique.
Set it up and no function. On inspection found the fuse that is mounted on the PCB behind the controls missing. A bit odd. otherwise a nice and handy machine.
Maschine tut was sie soll, mit dem Poti lt sich die Drehzahl regulieren.
Das Arbeitsgerusch ist ok, leider ist der Sgeblattwechsel nicht so einfach, hier knnte man nachbessern, geht bei andern Maschinen einfacher…

It was easy to setup and use, heavy enough to be stable, but not too heavy that you can’t move it around easily.

Sono rimasto stupito dalla versatilit di questa macchina. Dovendo tagliare e sagomare pezzi di legno con spessori non proprio da traforo, ero indeciso se acquistare questa tipologia di macchina oppure una classica sega a nastro. Devo dire che sono rimasto piacevolmente sorpreso in quanto la sto utilizzando abitualmente per tagliare e sagomare pezzi di legno massello con spessori di 20 mm e saltuariamente pezzi piccoli di radica con spessori anche oltre i 40 mm. Certo la velocit di taglio non quella di una sega a nastro, per taglia benissimo e in pi, essendo un traforo, si possono fare sagome con le forme pi impensabili. Quando poi si va sul compensato con spessori di 4 o 5 mm sembra di tagliare il burro. Ottima macchina indispensabile per lavori fai da te in legno
I am a collector of airguns modelled on real firearms and, to display them, I use acrylic rods pushed through the trigger guards. Normally I cut them using a pad/hack saw and it’s a real pain as 1) it’s hard work and 2) it’s almost impossible to get a real straight cut.
So.. I thought, although I had got this machine for my other hobby which is wood and leather crafting, I’d try this on the acrylic rods. Note, the word is rods not tubing – they’re solid hard acrylic. I first tried it on 1/2 inch (13mm) rods and it worked well so I next used it on 3/4 inch (20mm) and again it worked – perfectly. Please also note that 1) I used the machine as it came with the ‘free’ blade, all I did was tighten the tension; 2) I’ve never used a saw like this, ever (and I’m mid 70s).
Something to remember when cutting acrylic especially something as thick as these rods – the blade needs to be running at high speed to generate the cut BUT that also generates heat which melds the two cut sections together. I found that by immediately removing the rod once cut, breaking the two sections apart (quite easy as the acrylic is still soft), then trim off the melted left-over. You then cannot see the burned area as you’ve already got rid of it.
As said, I’m a rank beginner with scroll saws so I limited my expectations when buying this but, to be honest, I needn’t have done so as the machine worked perfectly. I am truly looking foreword now to trying it out on wood and, with an extra fine blade, leather.
I wholeheartedly RECOMMEND this scroll saw, even for rank amateurs like me – for someone with expertise, you can expect even more – thinking of buying? GO FOR IT!!!
I put a tri-square to it and pushed the table a horizontal as it would go. However, the blade still had a slight angle. If you are cutting thin materials, probably down to 6mm or so, it might not matter, but the thicker the material the more that angle shows up.
So I had to unscrew front and back screwed clamps, just under the table, make certain the table would go horizontal. Once I’d tightened the screws again and made certain the blade-to-table was tri-square perfect, I had to unscrew the red angle pointer below the table front and make that point back to exact zero again.
Since then, no problems – but I am a newbie with a scroll saw.
Wanted one for ages, came in two days. Easy to assemble though the blade guides seem a little short. Still cuts well and is a great addition to my workshop.

Nothing to dislike. It does the job. I use it for rc plane building and cits accurately.
Spot on for those intricate little cut outs you need to make
and what I paid for was good value. I was a bit dissapointed that a blade holder broke early on, made from a cheap casting I think, but customer service was fantastic and sent a spare same day to arrive next day.
I am now in the process of making some blade holderrs, courtesy of an Italian bloke on Youtube, and have high hopes that they will work well
All in all, I think it was a good buy, and would have got 5 stars if is wasn’t for the blade holders
Had this a couple of months now and used it over and over again,
Easy blade change, sturdy and quite powerful for a small machine,
Only using it for model making but sure it would do bigger projects.

Very easy to assemble, however, having never used a bandsaw before I would have benefited from a more detailed instruction manual and description of purpose for each component. Was nervous of using until a friend in the know explained and checked everything
The saw itself is ok but I paid for a brand new one from Amazon and I received an item that had clearly been opened and removed from the packaging previously. All of the polystyrene inside was broken and the cardboard box had been cut with a knife and re taped. The instruction booklet was also removed from the plastic bag inside and was a bit grubby. If I pay for a new product , I expect a factory fresh item, not a return. Not happy but couldn’t be bothered with the hassle of returning it.
The instructions are truly horrible. Changing and aligning the blade is not for the faint-hearted.
Once running, it’s OK.

Great little machine, nice and quiet I would recommend this Band Saw that likes to do small jobs, not recommend for heavy timber…………

Nice sturdy construction, well priced and portable are the pluses snd easy to change blades. Only minus points are it’s noisy but not unbearably so, and took the perspex guard off fairly soon as it’s just a hindrance. Overall though, would recommend for the home DIYer.

Die Sgeblatthalterung ist fr Stiftsgebltter als auch fr Sgebltter ohne Stift geeignet.
Leider muss die Sgeblatthalterung oft leicht aufgebogen werden um die Sgebltter einsetzen zu knnen. Dies ist bei der Proxxon Dekupiersge DS 230/E besser gelst. Auerdem wre es sinnvoll die seitliche Abdeckung mit den selben Schraubenkopf zu versehen wie die anderen Schraubenkpfe an der Maschine. Besser wre aus meiner Sicht Rndelschrauben fr die seitliche Abdeckung. Auerdem wre eine Lampe hilfreich. Bei der ersten Nutzung ist die Schraube an der Sgeblatthalterung abgebrochen, so dass eine weitere Nutzung erst nach Lieferung des Ersatzteil erfolgen kann. Dies kann aber passieren und ist wahrscheinlich nur ein Materialfehler. Die Ersatzlieferung fr den Sgeblatthalter ber Einhell erfolgte problemlos innerhalb von 2Werktagen. Sehr angenehm empfinde ich den Softstart der Maschine. On cutting some woods the grain and knots will cause the band to twist slightly. This means your cut will go wonky. Ease of the pressure you apply.
