Draped over a sunbed or chair on a sunny campsite – fully charged my 10000 powerbank in one day. Phone was at 80% and up to 100% within the hour. It was gloriously sunny though.
have used this to charge my bluetti powerstation and it good conditions have seen 110 watts coming in now on average in ok weather it will bring in around 80 to 90 watts this is the way solar works so dont expect it to power your washing machine its a tool to get free electric into your powerstations or charge your phones while camping we couldnt live without it in todays climate with electric prices going through the roof.
So many useful pieces included with regard to connectivity. Cables are a good length, nicely stored with the extras, attached in a useful pocket on the rear.
It is also cheaper and more powerful than the one offered by the manufacturer of my battery box.
Very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend to others.
Very efficient. This was 4th November 2022, bright sunshine, 11:20hrs, light broken clouds. Not a completely ideal day. What a performer (see photos). Easily and consistently produced the 92W output into a Bluetti EB55 battery pack. I didn’t bother aligning the panels with the Sun, which was at a slight angle to the panels at this time. Why bother, I wouldn’t typically be that picky about it in real use out on my travels. So it was a very pleasant surprise to see how very well these did perform.
They are not unduly heavy or bulky to carry about, not taking up much space in the car. They unfold and stand on their two fold out arms easily, although perhaps a bit precariously, where another arm would make a good difference. The cable is very long which makes it convenient. A full set of adapters are included, I used the XT60 to connect to my EB55. The built-in USBA and USBC charging ports are a nice plus also.
All in all a great 120W panel that delivers. Who could ask for more?
It’s a great value for money solar panel….with very good build quality… excellent performance…and included cables etc…nice protection case with accessories pocket….. overall I am very pleased with the quality and performance of this panel.
Was initially impressed with the panel although after a month or so noticed the output was down. Contacted customer support and after sending them photos/videos explaining the problem they sent me a brand new panel. All was dealt with quickly and efficiently and the new panel is providing upto 100W of output as expected. Excellent customer support!
A great panel ! This is my second one as I want to charge my power station quickly especially on cloudy days !
So using my first panel I have no complaints!
( it’s the same one ) the maximum I’ve managed is 98 watts from the 120 on offer ! You’ll very rarely get perfect conditions! Not in Europe anyway ! The panel does bow after some time in the sun ! The support legs ( only two ) struggle a little with the 4 panels ! Otherwise a great panel!
This product is perfect works well with little sunshine we went camping and put it on our tent it charged my phone and the mrs fully for the next day! Easily portable and well made having multiple ports is helpful too! Amazing product!
Due to the huge increases in electricity costs i decided to research solar power generation. I came across the ELECAENTA 120w foldable solar panel and decided to order the product to see how it performed.
When the solar panel arrived i was immediately impressed by the overall build quality of the device. It looks and feels super premium – the fabric casing feels tough and durable and the protected solar panels equally appear extremely well made. The solar panel is 4 way foldable and collapses into a briefcase size shape. When unfolded the 4 solar panels are supported by two Velcro kickstands. I wasn’t sure if these would be strong enough to hold the panel at the correct angle, but they worked just great. Set up of the solar panels takes literally seconds, unfold, place into position and plug in your USB device – voila instant free power! You even get 4 x carabiners to hang the panels from hooks.
At the rear of the solar panel is a zip pocket containing a USB charger, 1 x USB A QC 3.0 and 1 x USB C. The USB C socket is a 45w PD charging output, which supports fast charging of certain devices. Also included is a bunch of DC barrel connections for various types of laptops & other DC input devices. Also included is a DC to MC4/XT60 cable, this enables you to connect the panel directly to a solar generator. The panel also has a bunch of safety feature built in such as overcharge protection and short circuit protection. The company really have thought of everything here. I was super impressed!
So how did the product actually perform? Well it really did exceed my expectations – so much so i bought a second one! In full sun the solar panel was outputting around 86w into my Bluetti EB55. Connecting both of the ELECAENTA solar panels in a parallel connection (lead needs to be purchased separately) inputted around 120w of power into my generator. I appreciate that each of these panels are rated at 120w but you are never going to get the full 240w of power – there are lots of factors which may effect the solar generation of any solar panel, including the position/angle of the panel to the sun, haze in the sky, smoke, clouds etc. I have tested several different devices on the panel and all charged exceptionally well. My Samsung S22 Ultra displayed ‘super fast charging’, my ipad charged great, i even charged a set of NP-FP 90 batteries in a charging bank (see pictures), along with my electric toothbrush! The panels are also Monocrystalline which is a better technology than Polycrystalline, these panels also have a conversion rating of around 24% which is extremely good. The solar panels are also water resistant, although you should not allow the USB charging station at the rear to get wet. I would not be using these in damp/wet conditions anyway.
In summary i think the ELECAENTA 120w solar panel is an amazing piece of kit! It’s is super satisfying knowing you are getting free power from the sun! There are so many uses for this product, free home charging, off grid charging when you are camping or at the beach… the list is almost endless! I did have a small tech issue with my second panel but speaking with ELECAENTA customer support resulted in this being resolved super quickly and without issue – the after sales customer support from this company is superb!
So do i recommend this product to others? Without hesitation it is a huge YES from me! Every household should have one of these solar panels – they are portable enough for you to take around with you and provide excellent fast charging capabilities – in my opinion this really is a premium product!
I hope that you found my review helpful.
I have had the 120W panels for a month and paired them with a Bluetti EB70. They have worked well. The max power so far has been 95W, in the UK in September. They still trickle charge in the rain, the MC4 connectors are waterproof. Handle with care – I heard a loud crack as I opened them the first time but seems not much harm done. Only hold them by the canvas, not the panels. The stands are great for angling them towards the sun. I put them out facing South-East in the morning and then move them round to South-West after lunch. The EB 70 can boil a small kettle and we have had several solar powered cups of tea, as well as charging two phones and two tablets.
i just tried it today with my ctechi gt500 power station, France near Lyon around 15h00 sunny day no cloud interference with the kickstand unfolded and just right angle to the mid day sun.
results : I could get between 45 and 50 watts fluctuating with main cable. I tried the power delivery usb c cable and got a stable 50 watts input in the same configuration. when i put the panel flat on the ground ( not inclined towards the sun in direct angle ) I was getting 30 watts. so actually usb c works better than main cable on this 60 watt panel. quite happy with the result. I am now thinking purchasing a 120 watt from same brand. manufacture quality is good so I recommend it. hope results will be lasting and consistent.
Easy to use folding panel. Overall construction is good and it really works well. In dull weather you may only get 3-5w production but today in South-west UK the clouds cleared and it gave a steady 57w. Using the pd output I charge d two phones and a put a good slug into a Poweroak 50s. It’s going to be sunny tomorrow and I’m looking forward to harvesting more free electricity. I really recommend this product.
EDIT: So pleased with this panel. See attached photo of it producing 55w at my Poweroak AC50s…. zoom on the Poweroak screen..!
I am very happy with my purchase; I particularly like the way the connection is housed in the pouch on the back that also holds all the different connectors. If I have a complaint it is that it sometimes awkward to get it to sit at the right angle but once set is stays there. That is a minor point though as it works well in doing it’s prime job of charging a power pack
Build qulity is very good. I feels premium. It can charge my Samsung note 9 with in 4-5 hours using the type c connection in very good sunny day. It charged my phone and wife phones during a 3 days camping trip. Very useful item.
Popped it in the sun. Plugged a charging cable into the usb socket and into my phone.
Bingo – fast charging.
On my partners phone- it showed super fast charging. Never seen that before even on a genuine Samsung charger.
Seems sturdy enough. Comes with a bunch of adaptors.
Hangs up or use the pop out ‘legs’.
All in all very happy
I bought this solar charger because it was water-proof, as I sometimes have to recharge my mobile ‘phone’ while outdoors. It has passed the test, so far.
Arrived on time, well packaged. The panel seems to be of high quality holes each side both ends to give great choice on where to place. Flat on table, hooked on a wall or a backpack.
There is zipped pocket contains a hub for two USB and one C. There is a led light which will show Red if power is available.
So far I have tried this on a fully overcast day and part sunny the results are below.
Overcast
2hrs 30 minutes
10k power bank, empty 1st of four bars flashing.
Samsung S10 plus on 18 percent finished at 42 percent.
Partly Sunny
2hrs 30 minutes
10k power bank fully charged. I checked each hour and it was averaging 2 bars.
Overall would definatley recommend this power as a first step bit also for the portability it offers. God Bless all x
Update window test, two brass hooks and setup for when weather cannot be trusted or need to go out. The Panels width and location of the holes made this a perfect fit for my landing window which gets the most sunlight. Doing the same 2hr 30 Mon test on empty 10k power bank. Will update once I have the results.
I purchased two of these to recharge a large Solar Generator. As a portable folding unit, I was a little concerned about how well made they may be. I have been very impressed with the quality and the output.
I had a question regarding the possible configurations of the two panel and contacted the Caenta (no this is not a typo) customer support . They were swift to respond and very helpful in answering and resolving my query.
Having a solid product is one thing, knowing there is good support available should you need it is great.
Out of the box, the panel seemed well made and well put together when folded.
Unzipping the back to reveal the charging ports and cables reveals a fairly long cable to connect to the powerstation I am using with it. It also contained multiple adapters for differing sizes of ports, as well as four carabiners for hanging the panel up and an anderson cable.
It is a sunny day today, with intermittent cloud cover and I was impressed when I unfolded it and propped it up on its support legs, to find that the powerstation was instantly drawing the maximum 60w from the panel.
As the panel heated up, the maximum output has dropped off a bit to the mid 40’s, but has been steady.
When the sun has dissapeared behind the clouds, I have continued to see around 18w.
I am very impressed with my initial impressions of the panel. I will update this at a later date if my impression of the panel changes, but out of the gate, I have to say it seems to be performing excellently and seems very well made.
EDIT – UPDATE 13/09/22
Having used this panel for a few weeks now, I remain very happy with it. In direct, full north-east Scotland sunshine, it will max out the 60w delivery. It happily pump out between 55 and 60, at least until the panel heats up. At that point it seems to drop off and sit steady at 48w, at least according to my solar power station. With light cloud cover, but plenty of light it will tend to drop off to around 20. With heavy cloud cover it will usually drop into the single digits, but that’s to be expected.
It delivers as advertised and it seems to be a well made panel.
I can’t recommend this enough. It’s really well made, durable and flexible. I’ve recharged everything used on a 9 day camping, before coming home! It even works in cloudy conditions, all be it at a reduced rate.
A lot cheaper than named brands and works well with my BLUETTI
I’ve had bad luck with solar chargers in the past, but this one works a trea
Can’t beat a bit of free electricity, I got the 60w version, I did actually want the 120w but couldn’t get that delivered in time, so I settled for the 60, it did the job well of charging lights and 5 phones throughout the day, I would buy agai
I live in the North West UK, I use this to charge my Bluetti EB 70. Although we are in summer, I’ve seen charging rates as high as 113 Watts in clear skys (photo attached of the power imput charging my Bluette potable battery bank). Ive watched youtube videos where 200 watt panels are only output 120 watts in clear skys, so this shows how effecient this panel is. Overcast can vary from 10 watts to 50 watts output. Really considering adding another panel to help on the overcast days (we have many). The build quality feels great too
This seems a well made, sturdy piece of kit with more than enough leads and adapters. It weighs more than I expected but folds well and is easy to carry with the handle. The legs are a real nuisance as one will close while you’re putting the other up, it would be nice if these could be made to stay up somehow. The carabiners are a nice touch but I wouldn’t fancy hanging this up on anything you’d take camping due to the weight.
In my back garden in London on a partially sunny summer day I’m getting anything from 15-45W charge depending on clouds according to the portable power station. Left out most of the day just facing up (I appreciate not ideal but didn’t have time or space to keep moving it) it fully charged the 250Wh power pack over 2 decent July days (not 2 hours as I might hope). The most I’ve ever had was 63W in full sun 35 heat in mid August in Oxfordshire at around 1-2pm with it angled to face the sun – which is a bit disappointing given how strong the sun felt. Note: The power station will only charge max 65W from the DC input, so maybe the 63W is related to that even though it was not actually inputting 65W. But in full sun in the garden we’ve never had close to it before. If it gets close to 65W again I’ll plug an additional device in via USB-C and update if that charges too.
But it does the job and it was at least matching the 50W the coolbox was draining from the power station between 10 and 4ish, with 2 or 3 adjustments a day to face the sun, plus I’d fully charged that and some smaller power packs before our trip for free using this panel, which kept us going. Hopefully we will get some more free power out of it at home this year too, although the fact it isn’t fully waterproof makes me a bit nervous of leaving it out unless we’re home to rescue it from rain.
Durability unknown as I’ve only had it a month and used a dozen times or so. Will update if any major problem.
So while I’m disappointed with what power we got on an unusually sunny day for something that claims to be 120W and is huge, it’s…OK. But not amazing.
So far been really pleased with this solar charger. At times it seems as fast at charging as in a wall plug socket. Think we have noticed works less efficiently once it’s really hot (overheating), still not many days expect that to happen. Very pleased to add this to my camping kit. A good bit of kit and appears well made.
I have used this for wild camping on a hacking trip and while it certainly added some weight to my rucksack, it worked flawlessly and turned out to be really useful. I have used it in tandem with a power bank.
Seems to be made of good quality good size to carry in a small backpack. Working well for to charge aa batteries and a phone easily at the same time indoors at that.
Currently in Hackney trying it out on my balcony before taking it to Burning Man. I have other RV Goal Zero stuff and this is a really great for taking on long hikes/ camping and even just hanging on the pigeon nets outside. Charges really quick and is neat to pack away etc.
For some reason my original, decent review, was rejected. Maybe a video showing exactly what I get wasn’t appreciated.
I set up the panel at noon in 28c. I am not getting 120w out of this panel. Best case was 101w from cold. This stabilises at 83w as the panels gets warm.
Other than that the supplied equipment with it si 1st class. Overall very pleased with ut.
Use this for camping or when I’m generally outdoors when it’s nice. I have a 10000mah powerbank and it charged it over 50% in only a few hours. This powerbank takes a long time to charge even from the wall, this seems just as quick. My phone says connected to a fast charger when I plug it in too, so it’s upto the job for sure
Bought this as a cheaper alternative to some of the other brands available on Amazon, and it works well with my Anker (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B09Q5DJV71) pack. Pulls ~45W in mostly blue sky without faffing too much with the angle.
Would be better without Velcro for the wee stands/legs but otherwise happy with this!
Comes packaged with a whole host of adapters, so should charge almost any battery pack / “portable power station”.
I’ve been using this in my van to charge battery banks and other items. Mainly used during bright sunshine so far but it seems to be fairly well powered. Charged my phone in a couple of hours from 20% perfect for festivals too
folds up well. zip pocket for phone charging whatever the weather. has a light in the pocket to indicate its generating electricity so you know its getting enough sun. i rest it on bivvy peak.
Looked at a few others but this had best youtube reviews so bought it and glad I did. I’ve just got back from France and got 7 amps on very sunny days and performed great on cloudy days too 2 to 4 amps. packs away behind my seat taking no room at all in my T4.
Nice long lead but I bought ext
cables as well so I can park in shade and still get solar. Great…
Rocked it at Womad with these.
Off to Spain for 3 weeks so will report back if they’re rubbish. Otherwise consider them good!
Left photo at 5.2A is my phone’s QC 3.0 charger.
Right photo at 3A is ELECAENTA 60W using the USB-A QC 3.0.
both are at 5V.
my city at the time of writing this review is at UV index 6.
I think for the price it’s good, it came with a separate packaging which is nice though can be improved like put maybe some more padding in it? The solarpanel itself though has a tough finish and it’s a bit heavy but heavy good if you know what I mean. I can’t measure the AC output yet but so far it charged my 18,000mAh powerbank about 25% in 2hours which has 4hour charging time with its AC adapter.
edit 1: still about 25% on AC and it’s 4hours later – note that this is from 0-25% and my powerbank only has LED so can’t say the exact power charged into it, it’s also at 1V lower than recommended charging power (it worked but not advisable because I only tried it!).
The price at 129(deal price) is worth it in my opinion, it should be the regular selling price though, I think, because there are other 60W solar mobile chargers that costs about that price range and probably has the same results so. NOTE: consider looking at multiple options and depending on how the economy goes make a standard for quality and then factor the price, for me this was the best value for my money I can get at that time.
Anyway, I spent some time to look for a decent starter solar panel and very satisfied so far. I recommend it.
edit 2: in addition to what other people are saying about the fluctuating current, it does fluctuate but there are factors that you have to consider like clouds blocking parts of the solar panel because even a little shade can change the output of ANY solar panel. But if you have a stable Voltage but slightly varying Current then it’s okay. Also the IC chip does the job for me, like it’s not perfect but based on my experience it adapts the output well enough to be noticeable, sure it’s not really as efficient as having a 240W solarpanel with an MPPT charge controller but for a “mobile” solar panel it’s good enough and is probably just the same as how any portable solar panels will perform if you really think about it.
But if you are really anxious about using this to charge your devices directly, then buy a powerbank and charge it with this then charge your devices after with the said powerbank.
Although to be honest, you cannot really expect portable solar panels to output stable power the same as a wall charger.
Also in my opinion, it’s not really good if you use the pocket to put your phone/powerbank inside, because you have to consider that they will accumulate heat even behind the shade of the solar panel (like from ambient air), note that your devices will also generate heat from just charging so the lifespan of the battery probably won’t last as long as it should because if you don’t know heat can also cause a faster degradation of batteries. My advice is you buy a longer charging cable and place your devices where it’s at a comfortable temperature while charging.
I bought this after seeing it reviewed on youtube. I use it to charge my jackery explorer 240. The jackery brand 100w panel takes 5hr (approx) to charge at 60w of input. The Elecaenta 120w takes just over 4hrs to charge giving the jackery 70-72w input. It really is a fantastic solar panel for the money. It weighs slightly more than the jackery (4/5 kilos approx I haven’t weighed it!) hence the low rating there but show me a solar panel of this calibre that isn’t heavy. It also comes with 10 different adapters to fit most solar power stations and 4 carabiners for hanging it up off the ground. It performed better than i wanted/expected. Definitely worth a purchase. It also has a usb and micro usb port built in for extra charging. I would absolutely recomend this solar panel to anyone!!
At last one that works.
I would recommend this Solar panel to anyone.
I am very happy with its performance.
Bought this on prime day.. Wow it’s better than I thought it would be.you see reviews of items that take your fancy and then they are poor.. But believe me im impressed with this.. It works and does what it says on the tin… I’ve got the 30w. Panel.. Ok it takes a bit of time to charge but hey it’s not plugged into the mains so it will eventually save on electricity… It also works in cloudy conditions.. Recommended.
*** edit***
The seller came back and advised I don’t use the storage pocket on a hot day as the phone will overheat and stop charging. Put the phone under a cushion and started to charger perfectly.. thanks!!!
Sadly the 30w version connected to my iPhone 12 for three hours in direct sun light has seen the battery go down rather than up. Hoping it’s a faulty item and can be replaced for a working one rather than a poor produc
I was sceptical buying this however it worked brilliantly. Took it away camping for 3 days and charged everyone’s phones up every day (albeit it was very sunny weather). It also seemed to work when the clouds came over too, although a little slower. Very pleased with it and would recommend to others.
Great product and a great price compared to
It’s competitors.
Works great and has many useful plugs to cater for many devices
Great for off grid camping. But equally good for free charging of your mobile etc.. when you’re in the garden.
Very good charging time and excellent to store, takes up no space at all, very happy with i
I bought this as I am moving back to Spain and spend a lot of time outdoors camping, festivals, up in the mountains at the lakes etc.
Having a compact portable solar charging option in a sunny country like Spain is a no brainer.
Coupled with my Romoss SW30+ Powerbank it makes for a great mobile power station.
It is extremely well made and I have tested it in the UK sun and found it functions very well so I should have no problems in Andalusia.
Charging a big power bank is not quick, in the UK sun I got 3% in 30mins and 5% on my 5000mAh phone in 30mins. But a constant trickle will fill it up eventually.
I highly recommend this product.
I was able to get nearly 60W of output on a sunny day here in the UK, which I find pretty impressive (this was reported on the display of my rechargable power station when I used the panel to recharge it). Folded up it’s a good size to take along in the car (too big for a backpack really) for camping or picnic. It appears to be durably constructed, and I noticed to poor stitching or popped seams. The kickstands are easy to set up and handy to angle the panel more toward the sun, though you might wind up wanting more angles (but I doubt any other portable panel at this price point does better).
Wish list things: while the panels have appropriate waterproofing, the junction box does not, and it would be good if something could be done to keep this more secure from water (but it’s probably good enough most of the time). Also, I knew what I was getting into, but an extra USB port on the junction box would be welcome.
Those issues aside, I’m finding I quite like this charger.
I like that it has USB and a charging cable, I have used to charge 2 things at the same time. With the adaptor I can charge my laptop directly from the sun! I have a 200W power bank and this charges it to full in one sunlit day. This has worked on cloudy days, you can tell if it will work as the charge light comes on. I have taken it as hand luggage on a plane, it weighs about 5kg. It is soo easy to carry once folded and has the handy pocket for all the cables and adaptors. So far so good.
Love this solar panel. Works great in the sum and even does a trickle charge on a grey cloudy day. Bought it to charge my jackery 240 and it does the job very well. When sun is out its as quick as my household electricity. And even fast charges my mobile at the same time
I decided to try a dedicated solar charging product, after buying a power bank in the past that has a solar panel on it – which turned out to be pretty useless.
I chose this as the panels are more efficient than similar products and it’s reasonably priced.
After using it for a while, I’m pretty impressed.
It’s well-built and it provides decent charging.
It had no problems when it was accidentally out in the rain!
The fabric material it’s made of seems quite waterproof, though obviously you have to be careful not to get water inside the charging pocket if it does get rained on.
In direct sunlight, it will comfortably dual-charge both my power banks at the full 5V/2A speed.
On overcast days, it will sit around 5V, between (roughly) 0.3 – 1A outside.
I’ve hung it on the window via the 2 included hooks and using some string, though the charging capability will be reduced a bit through glass, particularly if it’s cloudy.
It charges easily, I even hung it indoors in the window, it wasn’t a bright day and it still charged it. I do have three different makes of solar panel and this one, beats them all. Don’t be put off, by what appears to be a lower rate of charge [capability] as iactually it’s very fast, indeed.
New to this game but nonetheless aware of the physics. Unfolded and positioned directly at the sun and opened the support so the rays were at right angles. Time 1100hrs GMT. Blue sky with some high whispy cloud.
Result was between 90W and 110W as measured on my 600Wh Power Station. Took it from 20% to 100% in 5-6 hours of charging. Was then able to run my TV for two evenings of use. (Av 50W power use)
Useful. Should be able to power the heating system (Gas) this winter. Maybe a few lights as well.
Wow, when the sun hits it, you may as well have plugged your phone into a wall xD I’m already up 7% in about 14 mins I’m genuinely amazed hahah, free power can’t beat it for the investment, definitely slows down when over cast, had about 1-2% in the same time i’ll run more tests if I get the chance. Does exactly what I wanted it to do good stuff!
Excellent for the money. On a mixed spring day in the UK the 120w panels were pulling in around 90 watts of solar energy, which is excellent under the circumstances. The build quality is on a par with panels costing over twice as much. It’s a great back up option to my 180w solar panel on the roof of my Camper when hooked up to my solar generator, it also allows me to park the van in the shade on hot days and utilise these panels remotely in the optimal position away from the van.
We have a camper Van and as we are now using sites without electric hook-up more often we needed to be able to recharge mobiles etc. We have a RAVPOWER external battery pack 16000mAh and borrowed a smaller 5000mAh from a friend. On our last outing in May we put the ELECAENTA 30W Solar unit out of the window so it hung down and over the awning facing South. Attached the small battery and left it out all day , it charged to 100%. The next day we did the same and attached the larger battery and again it fully charged. I must point out that these were very sunny days with intermittent cloud. One of the days we also tried direct charge for an Android and an iPhone X at the same time with excellent results. We have yet to try this item on a dull day so have no feedback to give at the moment.
I use this solar panel with several power-banks in order to charge my iPhone and MacBook. This solar panel set charges them up extremely quickly even on cloudy days (England)
Well made item, 3 outlets..1 usb C, 1 ordinary usb coloured black & 1 usb coloured red, not sure why they are different colours. Only downside is you can’t use 2 usb’s at the same time as it stops charging, I have to only charge one device at a time.
It was my fault, I trusted reviews thinking they were for 60W charger.
Good reviews are only for the 120W charger.

USB-C output in 60W model is too weak to achieve Quick Charge with modern mobile devices.
The build quality looks and feels excellent. It was so easy to just stick in the garden and plug in my phone. It went from 60% to fully charged in less than an hour (Uk March sunshine). The 3 star rating for ease of use is because I hoped it’d be just as easy to charge my iPad.the Apple connector goes in ok and registers, but within 20 seconds the screen tells me it isn’t charging. The panel comes with loads of connectors but I’m such a novice I can’t work out how to connect it. I will, I just need some help! Anyway as I bought this for emergency phone charging (lost electric recently), I’m really happy and intend to buy a battery when they’re back in stock.
I bought the 120W panels, and they seem to work very well. It’s only mid March and it easily charges my Anker power core 28600mah battery in a few hours.
I’d be interested in buying another, and connecting them together, and charge a bigger battery, but I can’t find the required cable anywhere, to connect two.
It remains to be seen how well they perform in the winter, but I think they are OK the rest of the year, even if it isnt direct sunlight.
Kidding. I know they don’t deliver sun, yet lol.
This is an interesting day to be trying out my little 30w panel. Interesting because there is a complete total unbroken blanket of thick UK cloud & due for all day without break so interesting to see if I can get any power from this panel under the worst of conditions and to make matters worse I have it placed indoors in a south facing upstairs double gazed window.
Well the good and reassuring news is that yes, it is actually collecting some energy though I estimate it is only 2 or 3 watts. Even my 3kw of solar panels on the roof are producing nothing basically today. Normally the weather is clearer and I always get something but it’s Feb so that doesn’t help but at least I can aim this little panel lower in the sky unlike the roof panels
Basically my aim was to be able to charge in a single day, a 10,000mah, 3.7v (37Wh) small power bank so I am just using the basic usb A connection as it is plenty for the job @ 2.4A max. The power bank takes 5v 2A max so 10W & I think with some actual sun I should get this easily enough even behind the window based on what I am seeing so far.
Was brilliant just to see the first single % increase click over in the power bank display.
I could hang the panel outside but it’s more convenient sat in the window indoors out of the wind. Today I probably won’t get a full charge of the power bank but I think on the average day it should be possible. I might even buy another one to put in another window with my second power bank. I measured up and the bigger 60w panel won’t fit. The window frame would shade so not good.
I think in the brighter months this one panel would charge two power banks over one full day so while it’s slow now I am reassured that it will be useful down the line and it’s the right product for what I wanted.
It also looks like a quality product and will be useful should I need to take it while traveling, so yes, thankfully I am content with it’s size, quality & potential for my small task.
Next day update: Well seems it’s better than I thought so bumped the stars up to full 5. Some actual sun today and it’s charging the power bank no problem at all and still the panel placed in the window. Mid day and one power bank fully charged and another on charge. I tried to charge both at once using the 2 USB slots but it gave preference to the higher power slot and would not charge both at once. No info in the booklet about how all this works but I now estimate that this panel if outdoors in sun on a longer day could probably easily charge 4 or more of these 10,000 mAh power banks but I think it needs to be one after another?
Firstly, this 30w panel is excellent and it does what it is designed to do. There are some negative reviews from people that, in my view, don’t understand the product. Let me tell you the facts and clear up the myths. I have researched these devices so much over the last few weeks as I’m about to go wild camping for 6 months but there is so much conflict of opinion, so here is my experience with it and I hope it helps you.
This is a solar panel not a power bank. It is designed to charge items from the sun. It does NOT store power. However, if you connect a power bank to it then it will charge it, giving you stored power.
It can charge phones, tablets, power banks, cameras, torches, headphones and many small electronic devices. Ensure you have the correct cables.
It is designed to work in direct sunlight not on your window sill or through a car window. It is simply not effective used in this way.
It is February here in the UK and I hung the panel out of my window. It was bright but cloudy. It charged my phone at a rate of 1% every 4 minutes. I’d say that’s pretty good. It still charged even when quite cloudy but sped up considerably when the sun broke through.
The actual solar panels are very strong and have an excellent coating. They look like they would take rough handling with ease so that’s a big plus for travel.
I can confirm that the panel does support continued charging. If the light completely fades and it stops charging it WILL resume automatically once the light is strong enough again.
In my honest opinion, this is a very well designed product and the build quality is excellent. It is robust, light and made from premium materials which look like they’ll last. There are no weak or flimsy parts.
In conclusion, if you are after a cheap, portable and well made solar panel to charge your portable electronic devices then you can buy this with confidence. There is a lot of cheap junk on the market these days of which this is not.
Obviously I haven’t had this product for a long time so cannot vouch for its durability over time but to be fair it is s very simple piece of kit which is extremely well made so I don’t expect it to fail quickly.
Over to you.
The panel itself feels well constructed and can deliver a significant amount of power, just today in clear but weak almost December sunshine I put 20% onto a 10,000mAh powerbank in about 100minutes, before midday I had topped up my powerbank, wireless earbuds and smartphone. Yesterday in broken and overcast conditions I got 12% onto the powerbank throughout the day. I think its a great little emergency/camping power source.
In summer, thanks this solar panel I was OK 1 week with just 1 power bank and everyday charging my tablet and Bluetooth earphones (it was playing whole day)
In autumn with fog and rain it’s not that great, but in thick fog it still managed to charge my phone 1% in hour.
For safety you need with it at least 1 more clip to fix it safely on backpack.
And it’s have good survivability I didn’t manage to scratch it and rain and morning mist don’t damage it too. (I keep it outside tent for night for it can charging my power bank from early morning)
It’s great luxury item for backpacking and I’m happy with it.
Initially purchased for a camping trip it kept our off-grid set-up nicely powered up and I wasn’t left without charge in the phones or lights at all. Even on the cloudy days. I also used it to charge a battery so that we had power at night and it was a system that worked well. Now we are back at home I am using it regularly to keep devices charged and am delighted with how efficient it is. It charges quickly and brings things to 100% – I even had it charging two Chromebooks at the same time. Good range of adaptors, easy to carry suitcase design. Convinced me to install solar panels on my house – it is that good!
Battery is not included, so no rating given.
Used it twice this summer. It kept a phone on full wifi with hotspot & a tablet plus other gadgets charged throughout for a month with some forward planning & battery management.
Will charge on an overcast day & surprisingly late into the evening with dimming light but the on/off can trip out some phones so best to trickle-charge a battery with it when not in direct sunlight.
It charged a 6000mAh battery to over 80% in a full day in overcast conditions.
Charges phone in 2 hrs in direct UK summer sunlight.
I find this Solar Panel to be ok for the price. Typically with clear sky and a mid day sun, using a Bluetti AC50s , the max I see is about 80watts. However, on a dry day when the cloud blocks the sun it can drop as low as 10watts.
Given the UK weather / sun availability etc at this time of year (October), id say this panel is ok for charging battery packs via the USB PD, such as an anker powercore elite 26K, which will charge in around 4 hours. However, if you are charging something like the AC50s then id skip this and go straight for a 200w portable / fixed panel. Given that this time of year we only get 4 – 5 hours of sun during the day, you wont charge something like the AC50s in a day with one of these 120w panels.
Impressive, supports fast charging over three amps, in direct sunlight even in the UK, it charges as fast as a mains charger. Even in overcast conditions it gives a lower trickle charge.
Use it on the dashboard of my car, charging mobiles, tablet and power bank. Worth every penny….
I purchased this product as I work from home, including from the garden when the weather permits. I wanted to have a more environmentally friendly way of keeping everything charged, without a mains cable and this works brilliantly.
Even in less than sunny, overcast typical British weather the panels output enough power to charge my phone, Bluetooth speaker and my Surface Pro computer. Impressed and very happy with performance of product. Waterproof panels a must for our unpredictable weather and it folds up neatly for storage.

Took this to a festival over Bank Holiday in Somerset. Everyone in the group was impressed how well it charged any of the devices we gad – tablets/smart watches/pjones. Even on cloudy mornings enough charge to get you out of trouble and on sunny days chafged phones surprisingly quickly. One of the group lives on a barge and has now bought 1 to aid living off grid. Highly recommended
We went away for a weekend to Wales on the motorbike for a long weekend camping. Mainly bought it for charging out phones, but it also managed to charge our vape on a wet dull day. Left it in the tent see through window just plugged into the power brick we have and went out for the day. When we got back it was 2/3rds charged. Which is quite good considering it takes 4 hour’s to charge at home.
Charges as fast as if plugged into the mains! Even works when it’s overcast!!
Puts out enough to charge my medium power phone even under cloud.
Quickly charges powerbanks in sunshine.
Durable, easy size.
Bit pricey.

I bought the panels to charge mini power station and power banks. So far, tested on the cloudy day and sunny/cloudy day. On cloudy day, I was able to charge phone and some other small devices. On sunny day, USB-C charging of power bank was as quick as from AC socket at home. PD45 is quite useful.
I didn’t have to use connectors that came with the panels. Original cable fits BEAUDENS Portable Power Station. I don’t know yet, how long it will take to charge that, as weather is not cooperating at the moment.
The only complaint I have, is that last panel in the row doesn’t have leg at the back, so it’s not aligned with the other three parts. It would be useful, to add that extra leg at the back. I will probably put something behind it, to keep it straight.
I will update review, after using panels on campsite.
—————–
Update. I used panel on two camping trips now. On very grey days, panel charged my phone and tablet (15W charging) and older micro USB powerbank. In sunshine, it charges 45W powerbank, laptop and power station. Couple of hours of sunshine and all my devices were full.
I don’t know, why I haven’t thought about buying solar panel earlier. It won’t have much more use this season (almost September), but I’m looking forward to use it next year.
Small size, allows me to carry it behind the seat in convertible car.
————-
New camping season and I’m still very happy with the panels. I used them to charge Jackery Explorer 1000 power station and it went from 64% to 100% in couple of hours. Max input power was showing around 100W, which I think is very good.
I also used it as power source for laptop and it works as if it was connected to wall socket.
2h out in the sun while camping and all my devices are charged.
I was thinking about buying 30W to keep it in the car, but price went up. What happened to that 5% VAT cut?
I purchased the 120 watt version. It charges my Apple M1 MacBook Air without any issues via a USB C to C cable and I also use it to charge a power bank which gives me 230 volt AC when motorhoming off grid. Although I already have solar panels on the roof of my Motorhome there are often times when we park up under trees to keep cool which rules out generating power from the fixed roof panels. Having this foldable solar panel gives me more flexibility as it is easy to set up out in the sun some distance from the vehicle. It folds up to a easily storable size which was important for me. At almost 5 kg it is not light but the extra weight is hopefully a sign of quality. it looks and feels like a quality item. I have had a good look at the seams and attention to detail during manufacture and I am very impressed. I had reason to contact the seller reference a missing accessory and they sorted the issue to my satisfaction within a few hours – great customer service.
Amazing panels. Have had them charging my battery, running the laptop and charging two phones.
I ordered the 30w model a couple of days ago, it came today which was perfect as its been blazing sunshine all day today.
I really wanted one that was ETFE coated and not PET. Also some kind of water resistance, this one is IPX5 rated which is better than most, and on top of that I also wanted QC3.0 and PD 18W. That wish list limits your choice somewhat but this one meets all those requirements and at an okish cost (I paid 67.99). I’d have liked a higher wattage panel for winter use but they’re too expensive for my budget.
I have an Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 3 which is capable of being charged via QC3.0 as well as PD 18w. I tested the panels power output with a USB power meter. The output was 9.24V at 2.0 amps (the power bank will take 9v 2.1 amps). That means it was getting 18.48w which is spot on. I can’t test the full output of the panel as I don’t have the equipment to do so. However, 18.48 watts is all I need anyway so I’m happy with that.
It feels well made, the ETFE coating feels very durable. The fabric feels good quality, it’s nice and strong feeling. Time will tell if the internal wiring stands up well to folding. I won’t be testing it’s water resistance on purpose just in case it actually isn’t waterproof at all but I expect to find out in time when an unexpected Scottish shower catches me out!
You can extend the warranty to 2 years as well which is very nice as long as they follow through if its needed.
All in all it seems good so far anyway. I’m not an easily pleased person but this has pleased me quite easily.
Well made, does exactly what it says, plenty connection and can plug USB-C directly to panel
ok i thought this was a little expensive considering it just charges USB devices and not a portable power station.
Not the case, it charged three mobiles on a cloudy day in one afternoon!
I took this solar panel along with me & my Grandson to the park this week. It was a lovely day but I had so much work to do. This enabled me to be able to get my work done & watch my Grandson enjoy a nice day in the park. This charged my Macbook, iPhone & speaker all day. It also comes with various connections for DC devices & I have also used it in the garden for charging hedge clippers etc… The product is very well designed with a pocket for charging cables & neatly folds into a folio case. The quality is exceptional. I’m very pleased with my purchase & would highly recommend this product.
Received this solar panel a couple of weeks ago during a sunny spell.
First impressions: really pleased with the materials, the ease of set up, and the connections.
The panel is easily portable, easily positioned toward the sun and is weather proof (the connections are inside a zipped bag on the reverse side to keep them from rain/damp etc)
I was delighted how well it charged … mainly using 12v cable to a power station …. it was easily generating 40watts … I don’t know the max it achieved and couldn’t do any detailed measurements … but achieved really useful charge times on the power stations …… so I could use the power stations during the evening & recharge them during the morning.
It includes a range of adaptors which I needed to use to connect one of the power stations.
It also has USB-c power delivery which I want to explore more — I currently use the power delivery from my power station to run/charge my PC.
Overall: delighted … good value for money …. well made with good design features and works effectively.
Charged my 2600 mAh battery pack from 10% to 90% Today as it’s very Sunny using QC3.0 USB A. Used the USB-C Port on my Phone from 35% to 45% in less than 15 minutes, haven’t used it on my other power banks until Now. Will have to do some more testing during the Summer to see how well it goes. 4 Stars until further testing is achieved. Recommended to clean the solar panels after each use with a cloth
Edit: on a Sunny day like today I was getting about 610 mAh from the QC3.0 USB A Port on my USB C based smart phone.

We have had some fantastic weather here recently so I have been using this all the time. I have used it to charge all our iPhones, speakers, Fitbits, my vape & even my battery bank for when the sun goes down. I have found it’s charged everything as quickly as it does when plugged into the mains power. Today the weather has turned and it’s only 6 degrees & cloudy but it only requires minimum sunlight for it to work, today I have taken pictures on a cloudy day & in the first two pictures I have shown the red light that shows it is picking up solar power & in turn charging my devices. It even works inside on my office window cill. We are boaters so when boating season starts this will be absolutely fantastic as preserving our boat batteries is key it will also be great for picnics, camping, festivals, beach/pool holidays the list is endless. It does not charge my Laptop but apparently the 60W & 120W ones do. I have had no issues with any micro USB devices but with Apple products I have foud it will only work with the genuine Apple cables although this might not be true it might just be because my generic ones were really cheap ones a decent generic one may well work.
